Information Maria H. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog has any special needs that I can account for. I’ll be happy to take them to their favourite spot or play with their favourite toy!
A typical day
Take dogs to local where they can explore new sights, smells, and textures. Let them sniff trees, roll in grass, or splash in shallow water (with owner permission). I love let the dog to lead the walk at their own pace, focusing on sniffing. Bring a ball or frisbee for high-energy dogs like Retrievers or Border Collies. Play in an open field or dog park to burn off energy. Carry a rope toy for a quick tug game during breaks. Chase and Run: For dogs that love to run, jog alongside them or play a light chase game (ensure they’re leashed in unsecured areas). Practice commands like sit, stay, or heel during the walk. Reward with treats (with owner approval) to keep dogs engaged. Group Walks: If I am walking multiple dogs with the owner consent and arrange brief encounters with other dogs or people (if the dog is friendly) to improve social skills,

Pet care experience
I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a teenager. I understand and enjoy their little quirks and personalities. Play with them is the highlight of pet sitting
Reviews

Maria looked after our 10 month old puppy Pippa overnight whilst we were at a wedding. Maria sent several updates whilst we were away and Pippa had a great time! We could really tell how much Maria loved Pippa and loves dogs in general which was really lovely :-) we would definitely recommend booking with Maria!

Maria was super lovely and was attentive to what Ivy needed. Would book Maria again ☺️

Maria looked after our bouncy chocolate lab for a week and were thrilled with the care. We received regular updates and pictures of our lovely girl having a fantastic time. Would definitely recommend!

I cannot speak highly enough of Maria. She looked after our Border Collie while we were abroad for a week, stepping in at the very last minute when our original sitter cancelled. From the very beginning, it was clear how much she loves animals and how deeply she cares for them. She sent us thoughtful daily updates, and it was obvious that she spent real quality time with our dog. He came back happy, relaxed, and in wonderful spirits. We feel so lucky to have found her — highly recommended!
