I work from home as a research scientist in a healthcare tech company, so my schedule is fairly flexible if booked in advance. I am available for drop-in visits and house-sitting on all weekdays in Oxford, unless specified otherwise. It would help immensely during house-sitting stays if your house has good network connections.

When it comes to cats, I enjoy working hard to earn their love and trust. Each cat has a unique personality and requirements, so I work with them accordingly. Most cats enjoy my calm personality and also paper bags that I make sure to carry when visiting them. One of the things I love about cats is that they love a clean environment, so I always make sure that they have clean litter and clean food and water bowls.

For high-energy cats, apart from regular feeding, I like to keep them entertained with interactive play sessions (if willing, obviously) at least twice a day. Also, I have found that reading aloud to cats really calms them down. My Chimken loves it and generally falls asleep to it. So your fur babies are in for some interesting story time! Not to mention, you will get timely updates with pictures of their shenanigans.

Hello fellow paw parents, I have rescued and fostered animals all my life, ranging from kittens and dogs to squirrels and parrots. I have grown up around people owning cats, and looking after them has always been something I enjoyed. I have experience in dealing with very high-energy kittens to calm senior cats. My journey as a cat parent began with Chimken, my brown tabby, whom I rescued from the roadside at just 6 weeks old. She has grown into a very high-energy, albeit a little shy, house cat. Apart from that, I love going on long walks in my neighbourhood and making new cat friends.

Akanksha was absolutely wonderful - we couldn’t recommend her more highly! She took such lovely care of Lou and was incredibly kind, reliable, and attentive throughout. It was so reassuring to know that she was in such caring hands, and the regular updates and photos meant we could relax completely while we were away. It was clear that Akanksha genuinely cared about making sure Lou was happy, comfortable, and well looked after. We came home to a very content cat! We would book her again in a heartbeat. The best cat sitter! We’ve rebooked with her several times now, and our cats absolutely love her! To the point that Lola (normally less friendly) enjoys sitting on her lap! Magic ❤️
Akanksha was great with our cat, Loki, looking after her overnight for us while we were away at our wedding. It was important to us that we felt we had someone who we could trust with her and to stay overnight, and meeting with Akanksha before the date we felt very reassured and Loki – who doesn't get on with everyone – was quite happy! We felt completely reassured Loki was in good hands, and would definitely see if Akanksha is free next time we need someone!
It’s the second time we’ve booked Akanksha, and we couldn’t be happier. Seeing both our cats greeting her every time they see her, asking for belly rubs and showing her so much love is amazing! Colin is a lovebug, but Lola always plays hard to get with new people. And it was surprisingly Lola the affectionate one this time! That speaks a lot about how good Akanksha is with them.
