Hello fellow paw parents, I have rescued and fostered animals all my life, ranging from kittens and dogs to squirrels and parrots. I have grown up around people owning cats, and looking after them has always been something I enjoyed. I have experience in dealing with very high-energy kittens to calm senior cats. My journey as a cat parent began with Chimken, my brown tabby, whom I rescued from the roadside at just 6 weeks old. She has grown into a very high-energy, albeit a little shy, house cat. Apart from that, I love going on long walks in my neighbourhood and making new cat friends.

When it comes to cats, I enjoy working hard to earn their love and trust. Each cat has a unique personality and requirements, so I work with them accordingly. Most cats enjoy my calm personality and also paper bags that I make sure to carry when visiting them. One of the things I love about cats is that they love a clean environment, so I always make sure that they have clean litter and clean food and water bowls.

It’s the second time we’ve booked Akanksha, and we couldn’t be happier. Seeing both our cats greeting her every time they see her, asking for belly rubs and showing her so much love is amazing! Colin is a lovebug, but Lola always plays hard to get with new people. And it was surprisingly Lola the affectionate one this time! That speaks a lot about how good Akanksha is with them. Thank you so much ❤️
Akanksha was so loving with both my cats. It was the first time we booked her but definitely not the last one! Leaving them behind when we go on holiday is always hard, but knowing they were in such good hands let us enjoy our time abroad! Colin was begging her for belly rubs on day one, so they also loved her too!
Akanksha and I rescued our pet cat from the streets when she was about 4 months old. She seemed to have traumatic experiences and was quite scared of us. While we did not know much about cat parenting back then, I found her easing up to Akanksha within a week's time. Akanksha took great efforts to provide a calm environment for our cat, prepared timely meals, and included playing time in her daily routine. I have seen Akanksha exercise tremendous patience and love for our cat. It was heartbreaking for us to leave her back in India, but I hope Akanksha would be able to interact more with cats, and help fellow cat parents with Rover!

Programa
I work from home as a research scientist in a healthcare tech company, so my schedule is fairly flexible if booked in advance. I am available for drop-in visits and house-sitting on all weekdays in Oxford, unless specified otherwise. It would help immensely during house-sitting stays if your house has good network connections.
