“Absolutely amazing! I had regular updates and photos sent to me, she was truly loved by Quentin and his partner, they treated her like their own and was so relaxed when she came back. Have already booked back in!”

“Silma was fantastic! She communicated clearly from start to finish – welcoming me and showing me around her home, and keeping me updated throughout the day. She was proactive, attentive, and took wonderful care of my little girl, who I found relaxed and happy when I picked her up. I couldn’t recommend her highly enough. Thank you, Silma!”

“I would whole heartedly recommend Amanda (& her supportive family), to all dog owners who cherish their pet & would like a home-from-home holiday experience for their dog. Great to know your pet is exercising & spending their time with Bailey, Amanda's own spaniel. Great receiving photos during the stay as well. Hollie will certainly be back, next time we go away, if Amanda has availability. First rate dog sitter.”

“Stacey was really great with Randy. She took him for walks regularly and gave him loads of attention and cuddles. She sent us updates daily with loads of photos. I'd highly recommend her as a sitter.”

“Tanja was amazing looking after our dog. He had the best time hanging with her dog and playing all day. She sent plenty of updates and photos of his good time. Will certainly book again!”

“Fantastic stay! Joe has been fantastic from first contact. Really easy contact amd arrangements. Joe has been so accommodating and my dog, Pinkman, clearly loves staying there! Joe sent lovely photos and videos of our dog very happy in his stay, playing and snoozing like a home from home.”

“Melanie took great care of Jax for the few days he stayed with her! I received lots of updates and he was clearly very happy and comfortable. I'd definitely be happy to book with Melanie again sometime.”

“We cannot recommend Lisa enough! She responded quickly and kept us updated throughout our dogs stay with photos and updates. Lisa wanted to meet our dog before hand so that he could see the place and familiarise himself with it. Lovely garden area for him to safely wonder around in! Lisa was super understanding to all of our dogs needs and incredibly kind. A true loving and safe home for your dog to stay in!”

“Claire and her family (and gentle dog Coco) looked after our springerpoo Tara for 10 days this summer. Tara can be a bit anxious when staying somewhere new, but we felt very comfortable leaving her with them - and were sent regular updates and photos throughout, assuring us that she was having the best time. Claire is warm and friendly, and obviously loves dogs - and I can thoroughly recommend her.”

“Our 7 month old dog had a lovely week with Luciane and did lots of socialising and playing. Through the booking process Luciane responded to messages very promptly and kept us up to date through the week with regular video clips which we really appreciated as it was the first time our young dog had spent away from us and we missed her! Luciane and her family are very warm and friendly and welcoming and clearly love dogs so we felt comfortable leaving our dog with her knowing that she would be well looked after. Many thanks Luciane!”

“Graci is lovely. Her flat is immaculate Graci was very welcoming. Raggsie was very happy. Graci took Raggsie out for a couple of walks and we had a happy, well exercised dog on our return. We would definitely use Graci again and totally recommend her.”

“Aliaksandra was a great host and made a great effort to accommodate all Tara's individual needs as she was on her season at the time. Tara was very well cared for, and very happy. She had regular walks and access to the garden. We were given regular photos and video updates. She is now our sitter of choice whenever we visit the area and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend”

About: I have experience with big and small, and quiet and wild doggos. I have a friendly aura and get on well with these furry folk. Cat mother at heart. I am currently a university student and have a schedule that is very flexible. Looking for a few hours in my day to help and bond with your animal. When caring for pets in a pet owner’s home, I always aim to keep their routine as normal and consistent as possible so they feel safe and comfortable. I follow all instructions carefully, whether that includes feeding, walks, playtime, or medication if needed. I’m responsible, attentive, and respectful of both the pet’s needs and the owner’s home, and I understand how important trust is when someone is caring for your pet. I trust that you as the owner has accommodated your home for your animal/pets. With the exception that it is a safe environment for your animals safety. I do not offer services for your animals to be in my home.
“It looks like our pup Olive had the absolute best day and a half/staycation with Angela! Such a lovely family and location, and loads of updates throughout! Will definitely be checking Angela’s availability next time we need some help! THANK YOU”

About: I'm a qualified Veterinary Nurse with 7 years experience working in veterinary practice. I now work in a different field (sadly!) but get to work from home. I have my own Australian Shepherd who is 2 years old, she is very good-natured and loves chilling and playing with new doggy friends. I have a large garden for the dogs to play in as much as they want. Whilst I work they can spend time with me in the living room and kitchen. Walks are early morning, afternoon or evening based on your requirements. I live near a lovely park where I know many of the dog owners. The garden is fully secure and there is a baby gate on the kitchen so the dogs can be kept together or separate if needed. I have security cameras outside and inside the house, however your dog would never be left unattended without prior agreement. I only look after one dog at a time alongside my own.
“Marta and her partner made our nervous Golden Retriever feel very welcome right from the beginning - she gave him time and understanding and took him for several walks, all at times of day when the heat was over. She kept us regularly updated with photos. Having felt pretty anxious myself about leaving him, I was able to relax and enjoy our time away. I would definitely recommend Marta.”

About: Hi Oxford community! My name is Antonia and I would love to provide exceptional care to your feline friends when you need it. I used to be a cat sitter for three years, had my own cat named Thea, and am eager to establish myself as the pawfect community cat lady =] Currently at Brookes to be a primary teacher, so if you need any kiddo support too let me know!

“Qi was a fantastic cat sitter and took excellent care of Biscuit. She listened carefully to all our instructions and followed them thoroughly. We really appreciated the multiple photo updates at every visit, which gave us total peace of mind while we were away. Biscuit was clearly happy and relaxed when we returned home. Qi was also incredibly flexible and understanding when my fiancé became ill and we had to return home earlier than planned. We would absolutely recommend Qi and will not hesitate to book her again in the future.”

About: I grew up surrounded by cats and, as my mum likes to tease me, she once caught me eating from my grandma’s cat’s bowl when I was three or four years old. I’ve loved cats ever since and enjoy getting to know their unique personalities. My own cat is a gentle, rather shy rescue cat who has taught me a lot about patience, trust, and respecting a cat’s individual pace. Some cats will greet you at the door, while others prefer to watch from a safe distance first — and I am happy to let them take the lead. I also volunteered at an animal shelter in Germany, where I helped care for cats of different ages, temperaments, and backgrounds. Whether your cat loves attention or values their independence, I will make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away.

“We’re very grateful to John for looking after our cat Merlin this weekend. Merlin sometimes struggles with loneliness and John took a lot of time to keep him company. We also received regular updates with some beautiful photos of Merlin.”

“Caroline is the absolute best! Our cat is too timid for catteries and we were nervous thinking of how to best look after him when we are away. With Caroline, we always come home to a really happy and relaxed cat. Caroline keeps us updated throughout our trips and we know Lewis is not only in great hands, but having a great time! Thank you Caroline! ”

About: I’ve had cats of my own since I was 5 years old (I’m 23 now!). I can safely say cats are my favourite animals in the world and I adore looking after them. I currently have 3 kittens (a handful, I know) but I’m enjoying it so much. I’d love to be able to take care of your kittens/cats :)
“Ella impressed us when she came to meet Sabrina before looking after her - she clearly enjoyed playing with Sabrina, was knowledgeable about all things cat, and happy to help with administering her medicine. She was also very practical regarding keys etc. We got lovely photos everyday of Sabrina, and came back to a healthy, happy cat. We would use her to mind our pets again, without hesitation.”

“Marta was an amazing cat sitter! She was patient and developed a genuine attachment with my cat. My cat is usually very shy around new people, but after just three days she became completely comfortable with Marta. I’m very grateful for Marta’s help!”

“Another great cat-sitting job by Melanie. We all enjoyed the daily photos and updates, and our cats seemed very pleased with themselves when we got home. It really does make going away more enjoyable, knowing the cats are in such good hands. Thank you!”

“Elaine came for a meet and greet. Nelson is normally quite a shy cat but he took to her quite promptly. She gave him his treat so I think they are friends by now. We are looking forward to having Elaine over again, mostly for treats says Nelson, but really he let her pet him, that says a lot of a cat who doesn't let new visitors within range for at least 48h. Elaine was knowledgeable, she understood the concerns around elderly cats with diabetes which was a huge plus.”

“Psyona is just wonderful. She is so friendly, very responsive and easy to communicate with. She provided daily updates and took great care of Zelda over Christmas :) will definitely book her again!”

“Valentina was AMAZING! She took great care of our cat while we were away, provided really detailed reports and sent many pictures of our cat where it was evident they got along pretty well.”

“Irem continues to be a most reliable and wonderful cat sitter. She takes care of our home and our cat Arthur with upmost care. The pictures and videos we receive show just how happy he is. ”

About: What sets me apart as a cat sitter is my genuine love for cats (I have 3 at my family home). I understand that every cat has a unique personality, and I take the time to cater to their individual preferences, whether that’s playing with their favorite toy or respecting their need for space:) ! I’m also passionate about keeping their environment clean and comfortable—I'm meticulous about deep-cleaning litter trays and maintaining a tidy, stress-free home. You can count on me for attentive, compassionate care that goes beyond just the basics!

“Minnie had a really enjoyable short stay with Quentin. He took really good care of her and provide regular updates including photos. Highly recommend Quentin for anyone visiting Oxford, especially given the city centre location.”

“She is great, Bori came back home and slept five hours straight which I took as a real fun hanging out with Amanda’s doggo during two walks. He looked like he had a good comfortable day.”

“We really appreciated the last minute dog sitting Lenna agreed to do for Bruce. When we arrived Lenna was very friendly, Bruce was very excited she was happy to allow him to explore the space to try to let him to settle. Unfortunately Bruce was quite unsettled during the morning which was evident when I picked him up. It was in part probably because he is quite a big puppy in a smaller space than expected. I was told Bruce also became quite unsettled with Lena’s husband who wasn’t present when I arrived to drop him off, and I was also told when we arrived initially that he wasn’t aware that Bruce would be there. Bruce is quite a sensitive puppy and would have picked up on the situation and I suspect this would have added to heightened stress which I think was felt all round.”

About: I have experience of growing up with dogs as well as having my own. I am able to work with dogs from one year up and have had experience of senior dog needs. I have basic knowledge of dog psychology and have helped reactive dogs and improving recall. I am a retired Pharmacist so have plenty of time to accommodate your pet visit/walks needs. I am usually flexible but am ordinarily not available on Tuesdays or Sundays. I can accommodate those days by arrangement on an occasional basis. I am trustworthy and would provide pet care to a high standard. I would be mindful and respectful of your pet and your home during pet visits/collection.

“This was the first time we had left Ruby with anyone and were a little nervous about the prospect but Tanja and Pepper were super welcoming and great hosts. Ruby clearly had lots of fun, and was so well looked after. Thank you Tanja”

“Fedra was a lovely friendly person to meet. She looked after my dog well with lots of understanding and affection as my dog can get quite anxious. Would recommend! Location is great too if you're visiting Edinburgh city centre :)”

“Martha had a lovely day with Gabriela at her flat. We arranged a meet and greet a few days before, so Martha was comfortable going. I had text updates and photos throughout the day. I felt so at ease knowing she was in great hands while I was out of town. And she even came home with a new toy! We look forward to Doggy Day Care with Gabriela again soon.”

About: I have been surrounded by dogs since I'm very young. My passion for dogs has always been strong and I'm my happiest self when I'm around them! I have a family dog at home, a cocker spaniel, who's 13 years old and that unfortunately I don't see regularly due to me living in the UK for 8 years now. Before moving to England, I looked after him, walked him multiple times a day and played nonstop! I miss him dearly and I would love to give the same treatment to other dogs out there. If you give me an opportunity I would put my heart in this and you won't regret it. I'm currently studying my last year at uni, and I really miss being around my dog, who is with my family in Spain, so I thought it would be a good idea to give my love to other dogs meanwhile! I work only one day a week, on Sundays, I have Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays available. And if you need for me to take care of you dog at night I would also be able to! I would love to spend my free time being around dogs and taking care of them as if it was my own! Although I live in a small flat and I don't have garden or terrace, I do live near big fields here in cumnor hill so I can give long walks! I can travel by bus or walk and I would be more than happy to, if you need me to go to yours.
“Alison is a true gentlewoman who is kind, caring, and incredibly patient. She gained Luna's trust surprisingly quickly, which was especially reassuring as Luna is quite an anxious dog. It was clear that Alison genuinely cared about her wellbeing and made her feel safe and comfortable. I would highly recommend Alison to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate dog sitter, and I would be more than happy to use her services again in the future.”

“Pinglan had Avs for the morning at very short notice and allowed us to drop her off super early. Avs clearly had a wonderful time and came home happy and tired! Thank you so much for your help :)”

About: Dog obsessed and experienced with dogs of all temperaments. I’ve been walking dogs for over 16 years for clients, friends, and family, as well as volunteering at a dog rescue where I worked and trained with shy and reactive dogs. I’ve also owned a Romanian rescue dog for the past 5 years, which has given me hands on experience training in handling reactivity, building trust and understanding the full needs of a reactive dog. I'm currently working from home so my schedule is very flexible and can walk your dog whenever suits you and your furry friend. I am available Mon-Fri and most weekends. I have a fully fenced secure garden and live close to lots of lovely areas to walk and play. Love to go for long walks and go for some adventures!
About: I have spent most of my life rescuing cats and dogs and finding them homes. Animals have always been a big part of my life and heart and I have always looked for opportunities to spend as much time in their presence. I am currently volunteering at a cats rescue as this brings me closer to the work I used to do growing up. I do however have a softer spot for dogs as they fill me with joy more than anything else in this world. I am currently a university student but only have class two days a week. Besides studying, I love spending my free time outside so walking dogs is the perfect way to keep me busy when I am not at university. I am unable to accept pets into my current space due to my renting contract, therefore I am only able to offer dog walking services
“Peggy and I had a very positive experience with Lyann. Who was accomodating in looking after her fairly last minute. Great communication, thoughtful and kept me updated during the day with photos and videos of how she was getting on. Which was reassuring. Highly recommend Lyann's services.”

About: I’ve been caring for cats for over 10 years, starting from when I was 12. I grew up with multiple pets and have extensive hands-on experience looking after cats of different personalities, ages, and health conditions. My family home back in China has three cats and one dog, and I currently care for a cat here in Oxford as well. In addition to personal pet care, I was involved in animal rescue work for many years in China. Through this, I gained experience caring for sick and vulnerable cats, including administering medication, providing special care, and closely monitoring their wellbeing. I’m confident with all aspects of daily cat care — feeding (dry food and wet food), changing water, cleaning litter trays thoroughly, keeping the environment tidy, and engaging cats with play and enrichment. I also understand cat body language well and always respect each cat’s boundaries, helping them feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed in my care. Your cat’s wellbeing is my top priority, and you can trust me to care for them as if they were my own. I offer cat boarding in my home and have a flexible daily routine, which allows me to spend plenty of time with the cats staying with me. I’m home for most of the day on both weekdays and weekends, so I can provide consistent care, feeding, playtime, and companionship while following each cat’s usual routine. I live in a quiet, calm, and cat-friendly home environment that is designed with cats’ comfort in mind. I prioritise safety, cleanliness, and low stress, always respecting cats’ boundaries and routines.

About: 🎁 New to Rover? You can use my promo code MELANC83945 to get £30 off your first booking with me. 🐾 Hello there! I’m Melanie - a young professional and Oxford graduate. I’ve always loved animals, and it would be my pleasure to care for your pets. As I occasionally work from home, I’m able to offer additional companionship and supervision on the days I’m at home. I also have a small fenced garden for quick outdoor needs and easy access to lovely walking routes including Angel & Greyhound Meadow, South Park and Headington Hill Park, which are all just around the corner. As I live with my partner, I’m best suited to dogs who are house-trained, settled overnight, and comfortable sleeping in their own bed or crate if needed. For everyone’s safety and wellbeing, I’m unfortunately not the right fit for dogs who show signs of aggression, have a history of biting, or have a tendency to escape or bolt. I’m also happy to adapt to pets with additional needs when discussed in advance. I have experience caring for senior dogs and supporting pets with needs such as administering medication, providing extra patience and reassurance, or adapting routines to suit their individual requirements. Depending on the level of care required, pricing may vary slightly to ensure your pet receives the attention and dedicated care they deserve. Your pets will be treated with genuine care, patience, and lots of affection — I look forward to meeting them! 🐾 I occasionaly work from home, which means I’m available to settle pets in comfortably on the days I work from home. I’m also typically home on weekends and enjoy going for walks, so your pet can benefit from both relaxed indoor time and outdoor exercise. 🐾 My home provides a safe and comfortable environment for your pet, with a securely fenced garden for quick outdoor needs and a spacious two-floor layout where they can roam and relax under supervision. I’m fortunate to live close to Angel & Greyhound Meadow, Headington Hill Park and South Park, offering lovely, open spaces for calm and enjoyable walks. Above all, I prioritise creating a trusting, loving atmosphere - with plenty of cuddles, affection, and attentive care - while ensuring your dog gets the exercise and companionship they need (and I happily welcome the extra fresh air while working from home!). 🐾
“Priscille has recently started to walk our sensible and nervous dog. She has listen patiently to our instructions and done a fantastic job adjusting to his special needs. I have always found a happy and relaxed dog after Priscille came around, makes me super happy and looking forward to their next walks!”

About: If you asked 10-year old Jui who her best friend was, she'd tell you it was the group of Indian stray dogs she would feed and play with everyday! My own family dog was a very spirited senior Shih Tzu (pictured above). Dogs always love me - although probably not as much as I love them! About: I love pets, mostly dogs as I have had dogs in my family. My dog is 18 years old!! She lives with my parents in Spain, and I really miss her... I have had then experience with my own dog and at different stages of her life. Also, my two aunts have dogs, and there are two dogs in my partner's family as well. I have also gone walking at least with four friends and their dogs. They are all different sizes, breeds, and ages, and I love every single one of them. They all had different personalities, and I was able to adapt by giving them more space, ensuring they were comfortable not facing other dogs, or being more affective when they requested it and playing and running with them. To be fair, creating this profile would not only help me finantially, but it would also give me love from your pet, which I miss having as I cannot have a pet of my own in my Oxford flat. Therefore, I would take care of your pet as if it was my own. I'm also experienced in not only playing, walking and feeding them, but also giving them medicine (e.g., my dog has epilepsy, so she takes medication three times per day). A few years ago, I also dog sitted a friend's dog, and I had to give him pills hidden in food as well. Moreover, my dog's paws were hurt and I had to treat them with chlorhexidine... and many more examples where she had the recovery collar or other small injuries. Lastly, as a peculiarity: I have been my own dog's hairdresser for her whole life! :) I'm also happy to look after cats, as I have lived in a houseshare where my housemate had a cat and I took care of her when the housemate went away some weekends. I'm a PhD student at Oxford University working on my thesis, without funding. Wondering whether I could get a part-time job, I decided to offer my help as dog or cat sitter. In regards schedule, I can adapt as I'm writing my thesis, but to make it easier for me to organise myself, I would prefer evenings from 5pm. I would be happy to talk about it if you and your pet need another organisation, as well as I'm happy to talk about changing prices if you want to book me for several days/weeks. I have a few days that I won't be available in Oxford during July (July 30th-August 4th) and August (August 16th or bank holiday weekend), but I can try and adapt the rest of the summer days. To be fair, creating this profile would not only help me finantially, but it would also give me love from your pet, which I miss having as I cannot have a pet of my own in my Oxford flat. Therefore, I would take care of your pet as if it was my own:) I cannot have pets in my flat, but I would be delighted to walk your pet (for different lengths, like 30min or an hour, or even 1.30h). In a typical visit or walk, I would ensure he/she runs as well during their walk (if age and heat allow it), plays with a toy (ball catching), and sniffes enough surroundings to cover her/his necessities. It all will depend on the dog's necessities, displayed by the owners. I am also happy to come to your house and play, clean or feed your dog or cat there! I know all dogs and cats need different things, so I'm very happy to adapt:)
“Patricie looked after our dog Lola when on a trip to Oxford. We immediately felt like Lola was in safe hands and could see that Patricie cares a huge amount about dogs. Lola took an instant liking to her, and came back happy and exhausted. Thank you!”

“Lyann stepped in at very short notice, when another sitter was struggling with Buckley due to his barking and being a bit overactive. Rover helped to find an alternative. Lyann picked up Buckley from the other sitter and provided exemplary care for him over the next 24 hours. We received regular updates, photos and videos. Buckley was clearly very well cared for. I would unreservedly recommend Lyann and her family if you need help ; in fact, for any reason.”

“Alyssa was just brilliant from start to finish - super communicative and offered a beautiful space for our cavapoo, Calamity who found a pack in Alyssa’s two Patterdale Terriers. Couldn’t recommend Alyssa more - thank you for making Calamity’s stay in Oxford so wonderful!”

“Viviana created a wonderfully welcoming environment for our little fur baby. She sent regular updates and was very wonderful in her approach to caring for our pet. I will be sending my doggie there the next time we go away and I would highly recommend her to others. Thank you for taking care of a important member of our family xxx”

“Thank you Tracy for taking such good care of my dog Mutley. She had a brilliant time. Tracy was very knowledgeable in how to deal with Mutley. She took her for walks and was very caring towards Mutley. Mutley loved playing with the ball and toys. Tracy's house and location is perfect. We were visiting Oxford for the day and we were able to park the car just up the road from Tracy's house and get a bus about 20 minutes into Oxford city. Buses every 15 minutes. I would not hesitate in asking Tracy to watch Mutley again. Many thanks”
