“Traveling from London for the competition game to Northampton, my doge stayed with Jana for half day. She was so helpful and good communication person. Very clean house and look after my boy. Highly recommended”

“Samantha is a lovely person and looked after my puppy amazingly. My puppy enjoyed playing with her dog Jessie even though he can be nervous with dogs and she made sure they were both happy. He came back a very happy dog and was tired after all the playing. Samantha is great with communication and pictures so you’ll see plenty of updates. Will definitely be taking Wilbur back to her again!!”

About: The reason i am a pet sitter is because I love getting to know and looking after all animals of many shapes and sizes. This is my only job and I have been looking after my mums and friends dogs and cats for years but have only been doing this professionally for a year. I am available 6 days of the week but wednesday. I have always gotten along and connected deeply with animals, even when just meeting them. I dont have any issues I've your pet is hyperactive, shy, not vaccinated, or not spayed, but I would like prior notice. You'll be glad to know i have never had to deal with an emergency situation but on the off chance i will collect your vettinary service and pet insurance if applicable. When it comes to anxious pets i will let them come to me in their own time and ofcourse let them do the sniff test first. If you are considering me for looking after your fur baby in my home, please note, my partner likes to come with me and pet sit beside me and if you are not comfortable with that please let me know. I live with my partner in a flat and we have two kittens who are shy to begin with but very welcoming to new animals. I can't wait to meet your gorgeous fluff babies, I would be very happy to hear from you and to be considered to treat, play, and look after your pets. This is my current job so I have plenty of availability and time to play with your dogs and cats. I am available for all the pet care you need. I have a spacious and open living/dining room and my bedroom door is always open when boarding for pets, I work with my partner as its always good to have extra support if needed. If your pet needs crating, I dont provide that in my home and cannot do this, if I am looking after your pet in your home I am able to follow your pets routine, whatever it may entail.

About: As a dedicated pet lover and proud owner of a lively Maltese named Luca, I understand the joy and companionship pets bring into our lives. Since welcoming Luca, I’ve discovered the true happiness animals add to my day-to-day life, and I often find myself connecting more with pets than people. Caring for Luca has taught me patience, understanding, and the importance of nurturing a pet's unique personality and needs. This deep connection drives my motivation to become a pet sitter, where I can extend the same level of love and care to other pets as I do with my own. I know how important it is for pet owners to feel confident that their pets are safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for while they’re away. With me, your pets will not only be in trusted hands but will feel like they are a part of my own family. Pet care is woven seamlessly into my week, making it just as essential (and enjoyable) as my morning coffee! Working from home means Luca is my little “coworker” most days, keeping me company and reminding me to take breaks (which usually means playtime or cuddles). Tuesdays and Wednesdays are my "away days," but I've made sure those are full of extra treats, comfy spots, and toys for Luca to enjoy while I'm onsite. On all other days, I’m here to provide all the attention he could want, from belly rubs to outdoor adventures. For other pets I’d be caring for, I bring the same level of attention and love. I work around their schedules, whether it’s feeding time, walks, or just time to snuggle. My daily routine with pets is as fun and flexible as they need, with Luca as the best assistant anyone could ask for! Living in a cozy one-bedroom home with a fenced garden gives me a perfect setup for pet care! The garden is a safe spot where pets can roam freely and explore without any worry. I love that there are parks nearby, so daily walks and a change of scenery are always on the agenda—great for stretching legs and sniffing new scents. Inside, I make the space as welcoming as possible with comfy spots to lounge, plenty of toys, and some tasty treats for rewards or just to brighten their day. With Luca’s stash of toys and our little routines, pets here can enjoy a mix of indoor comfort and outdoor fun, all with a loving companion to keep them company. Whether they’re looking for playtime or just a quiet spot to relax, they’ll feel right at home!
“Absolutely fantastic. ‘H’ was pulling me to get to the front door on his second visit and that says it all for me!! Zoe and family inc their fur babies are lovely. It’s like home from home and H loves it. Looking forward to our next visit! Wholeheartedly recommend without hesitation! You’re fur babies are in good hands 🐾💚 So glad I found you x”

“Toby had the best day with Nichole! It was the first time he had been left with anyone since having surgery so I was a little anxious but we were kept updated with photos and how he was doing throughout the day so I could relax knowing he was having a great time and was making himself at home. Would highly recommend!”

Vicky and Tom are a super chilled couple, which is perfect for my anxious senior dog. I got plenty of updates and photos throughout the day and I have never seen him so relaxed considering he had only met them once before. I have no hesitation in recommending them and will definitely be contacting them again for future bookings.

I had to arrange for a dog sitter at short notice, Me and my dog (Mav) met with engin for a meet and greet and felt Engin was very welcoming. He has a big garden where Mav could play and relax. Engin is a lovely person who is an animal lover and that was seen in his interaction with Mav. Mav had no restrictions in his house, he was free. Sometimes Mav needs to be encouraged to eat and engin did a great job making sure Mav had his food. I left mav for 24 hours with Engin several days as i had work, and everytime i met with Mav, he was calm and relaxed. I wish Engin and his family all the very best. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Julia and Ged looked after Otto and were absolutely brilliant. They gave him the space he needed to settle and were really patient with him. They took him on a lovely long walk where he could get some energy out and have a nice time. Would recommend highly and they are lovely people too. Millie their dog is lovely as well.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in East Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
