About: As a dedicated pet lover and proud owner of a lively Maltese named Luca, I understand the joy and companionship pets bring into our lives. Since welcoming Luca, I’ve discovered the true happiness animals add to my day-to-day life, and I often find myself connecting more with pets than people. Caring for Luca has taught me patience, understanding, and the importance of nurturing a pet's unique personality and needs. This deep connection drives my motivation to become a pet sitter, where I can extend the same level of love and care to other pets as I do with my own. I know how important it is for pet owners to feel confident that their pets are safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for while they’re away. With me, your pets will not only be in trusted hands but will feel like they are a part of my own family. Pet care is woven seamlessly into my week, making it just as essential (and enjoyable) as my morning coffee! Working from home means Luca is my little “coworker” most days, keeping me company and reminding me to take breaks (which usually means playtime or cuddles). Tuesdays and Wednesdays are my "away days," but I've made sure those are full of extra treats, comfy spots, and toys for Luca to enjoy while I'm onsite. On all other days, I’m here to provide all the attention he could want, from belly rubs to outdoor adventures. For other pets I’d be caring for, I bring the same level of attention and love. I work around their schedules, whether it’s feeding time, walks, or just time to snuggle. My daily routine with pets is as fun and flexible as they need, with Luca as the best assistant anyone could ask for! Living in a cozy one-bedroom home with a fenced garden gives me a perfect setup for pet care! The garden is a safe spot where pets can roam freely and explore without any worry. I love that there are parks nearby, so daily walks and a change of scenery are always on the agenda—great for stretching legs and sniffing new scents. Inside, I make the space as welcoming as possible with comfy spots to lounge, plenty of toys, and some tasty treats for rewards or just to brighten their day. With Luca’s stash of toys and our little routines, pets here can enjoy a mix of indoor comfort and outdoor fun, all with a loving companion to keep them company. Whether they’re looking for playtime or just a quiet spot to relax, they’ll feel right at home!

Samantha is a lovely person and looked after my puppy amazingly. My puppy enjoyed playing with her dog Jessie even though he can be nervous with dogs and she made sure they were both happy. He came back a very happy dog and was tired after all the playing. Samantha is great with communication and pictures so you’ll see plenty of updates. Will definitely be taking Wilbur back to her again!!

About: Hi! I'm new to pet sitting, but I've always enjoyed spending time with animals, and I'm excited to provide a safe, calm and caring environment for your pet. I'm reliable, patient and committed to following your pet's routine exactly as you describe it. I understand that every animal has its own personality, preferences and needs, and I'll take the time to earn their trust and help them feel comfortable and secure. I live alone, so your pet will receive my full attention in a quiet home without the distractions of a busy household. This is especially suitable for pets who enjoy a peaceful environment and plenty of one-to-one care. I'm fortunate to live close to open fields and a beautiful country park, giving dogs plenty of opportunities for enjoyable walks, exercise and exploring in a safe, natural setting. Whether your dog prefers energetic walks or a gentle stroll, I'll adapt to their pace and routine. I'll care for your pet with the same attention and kindness I'd want for my own. I'm flexible and happy to work around your pet's usual routine. I'll follow their normal feeding, walking, playtime and rest schedule as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable and settled. As I only care for pets in my own home, I'll make sure they receive plenty of attention, companionship and care throughout their stay. Your pet's safety and wellbeing are my top priorities. I provide a calm, clean and smoke-free home where pets receive plenty of one-to-one attention. I'll carefully follow your instructions for feeding, exercise, medication if needed, and any special requirements. I'll make sure your pet feels safe and comfortable throughout their stay.

About: The reason i am a pet sitter is because I love getting to know and looking after all animals of many shapes and sizes. This is my only job and I have been looking after my mums and friends dogs and cats for years but have only been doing this professionally for a year. I am available 6 days of the week but wednesday. I have always gotten along and connected deeply with animals, even when just meeting them. I dont have any issues I've your pet is hyperactive, shy, not vaccinated, or not spayed, but I would like prior notice. You'll be glad to know i have never had to deal with an emergency situation but on the off chance i will collect your vettinary service and pet insurance if applicable. When it comes to anxious pets i will let them come to me in their own time and ofcourse let them do the sniff test first. If you are considering me for looking after your fur baby in my home, please note, my partner likes to come with me and pet sit beside me and if you are not comfortable with that please let me know. I live with my partner in a flat and we have two kittens who are shy to begin with but very welcoming to new animals. I can't wait to meet your gorgeous fluff babies, I would be very happy to hear from you and to be considered to treat, play, and look after your pets. This is my current job so I have plenty of availability and time to play with your dogs and cats. I am available for all the pet care you need. I have a spacious and open living/dining room and my bedroom door is always open when boarding for pets, I work with my partner as its always good to have extra support if needed. If your pet needs crating, I dont provide that in my home and cannot do this, if I am looking after your pet in your home I am able to follow your pets routine, whatever it may entail.

About: Dogs have always been a huge part of our lives, and over the years we have owned and cared for a wide range of breeds, including Border Collies, Alsatians, German Shepherds, Spaniels, Labradoodles, and now two wonderful dogs of our own—a 3 year old rescue from Cyprus and a 2 year old German Shorthaired Pointer. We live in a large home with a spacious, fully enclosed and secure garden, giving dogs plenty of room to play safely. Our own dogs are crate trained, so we're happy to accommodate crate-trained dogs if that's part of their normal routine, but it's by no means essential. We'll always follow the routine that your dog is most comfortable with. Exercise is a big part of our day. We walk our dogs three times daily: a lead walk in the morning, another lead walk at lunchtime, and an evening walk by the river where dogs can enjoy some off-lead time if they have reliable recall and you are happy for them to do so. If not, we're equally happy to keep them on the lead. As I work fully remotely, your dog will rarely be left alone and will have company, attention, and supervision throughout the day. We understand how important it is to know your dog is being cared for just as they would be at home, and that's exactly the environment we aim to provide. Our dogs are part of the family, and any dog staying with us will be treated the same—with plenty of love, attention, exercise, and care. We know every dog is different, so we'll always take the time to understand their personality, routine, and any specific needs to make sure they have a happy, relaxed stay. We have handled multiple puppies, rescue dogs (Our own Maisie is a Cypriot rescue who came to us with severe anxiety, and now is a confident playful dog) and used to handling large strong breeds. I work full-time remotely, which means I am home throughout the day and able to provide plenty of company, supervision, and attention for your dog. Pet care fits naturally into our daily routine as our own dogs already have a structured exercise schedule. We walk our dogs three times a day: a morning lead walk, a lunchtime lead walk, and an evening walk by the river where dogs can enjoy off-lead time if they are allowed and have good recall. We also have a large secure garden where dogs can relax and play safely. I am available for boarding, daycare, and weekend stays, and I will always aim to keep your dog's normal routine as consistent and comfortable as possible. Your dog's safety and wellbeing are extremely important to us. We have a large home with a spacious, fully fenced and secure garden, giving dogs plenty of room to relax, play, and enjoy themselves safely. We have years of experience owning and caring for different breeds, including Border Collies, German Shepherds, Spaniels, Labradoodles, and currently our rescue dog from Cyprus and our German Shorthaired Pointer. Both of our dogs are crate trained, and we are happy to accommodate crate-trained dogs if that is part of their normal routine, although it is not essential. We understand that every dog has different needs, so we will always follow your instructions around feeding, exercise, behaviour, and comfort. We are also experienced with administering medication, as our German Shorthaired Pointer requires medication as part of her care routine. Because I work remotely, dogs staying with us will have regular company and supervision throughout the day. Our aim is to make every dog feel safe, settled, and treated as part of the family while they are with us.

About: Hey, I'm Molly, a 29 year old who loves having pups around! I can’t have my own full time at the moment so I love to borrow yours! Growing up we always had rescues, so have had experience building up a bond with the more nervous, wary pets as well as larger, stronger dogs. I love exploring local areas and finding new places to walk. You can be assured of lots of attention for your furry friend, whether they are happy to just chill, play fetch or find the ball or even zoomies.
I live in Duston and work 5 minutes away, so I can work to your dogs routine. There are plenty of local parks and countryside not far from our home as well as the forest which is an absolute favourite for dogs.

I am:
Friendly and trustworthy, have my own
Full driving license and own transport
I will treat your pup with much love and affection and give them the best care and attention.
I usually end up bringing them to the pub, the local cafe, even have been camping before! I offer a free meet and greet consultation at a time that suits you. I can tailor the duration and style of visit for your pets needs. I work in an office so close to my home and we are all flexible workers and able to chop and change hours as needed. As an office which even has dogs in there, we all love them and change our schedules for pets! I have a fenced garden with a nice lawn and lots of sniffable plants, I am also super close to a forest and lots of fields so happy to take your pets where they prefer

About: Hi! I'm a dedicated pet parent and passionate animal lover with years of hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats. My journey with animals began when I was little and helping care for my grandparents’ gentle German Shepherd. That early bond sparked a lifelong love for dogs. Before welcoming my own pup, Dandan, into my life, I spent years volunteering to walk and care for neighbors' and friends' dogs whenever they needed help. Over the past 4 years, I've gained valuable training and dog-handling experience, and I've been a proud dog owner myself for the last 2 years. I also cared for my own cat for 5 years, so I understand the needs of both feline and canine companions. As a dog parent, I know how important it is to leave your pet in safe, loving hands. When you’re away, you want someone who will treat your pet like family—giving them attention, comfort, and plenty of playtime. That’s exactly the kind of care I provide. Whether it’s daily walks, boarding, or just some quality cuddle time, I’m here to make sure your furry friend is happy and well cared for while you’re away. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I work from home most days, which gives me the flexibility to provide consistent attention and care throughout the day. I take my dog, Dandan, out for long walks once or twice a day—each walk usually lasts between 1 to 2 hours. I'm able to easily fit additional walks, check-ins, or pet sitting into my schedule and give your pup the time, care, and engagement they deserve. I live in a cozy, good sized 2-bedroom flat that’s clean, pet-friendly, and well-maintained. While the space is great for resting and relaxing, I make sure pets get plenty of activity outdoors. I take my dog out daily for long walks and playtime, and I’ll do the same for yours—tailoring the routine to their energy level and needs. When caring for someone else’s dog, safety is always my top priority. Whether at my home or yours, I keep a close eye on them at all times. During walks, I always use a secure leash and harness—no off-leash unless we're in a fully enclosed, safe area and the owner has given permission.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in East Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
