Caring individual who loves dogs!
Key Information: - only dogs from the same household will be walked/provided daycare/boarding together - (for daycare/boarding) we live in a flat with no garden but there is green space about 10m from the front door for toilet breaks - (for daycare/boarding) the flat is located on a cut through so very often there are people walking past, and cars frequently arrive and leave so please consider if this will distress your dog in any way - (for daycare/boarding) similarly, despite our flat being self-contained, there is a shared hallway/entrance so people can be heard moving around the building/we have a neighbour above us - we have no children or pets of any sort - insured Despite currently being unable to have a dog of my own, I’ve been walking and caring for others’ dogs for many years as I love spending time with them and find the whole experience very enjoyable, and a great excuse to discover new areas. I live with my partner, Tom, and he often joins me on these adventures as he’s a dog lover too! I volunteered for two years at an animal sanctuary back home in Norfolk where there were a variety of dogs of numerous breeds and sizes, many who were reactive/had behavioural issues. Since moving to Northampton, I have also volunteered at Wellidogs, who also have a wide variety of dogs with differing needs. As well as friends and family, I’ve also helped care for work colleagues’ dogs and those in my local area, covering many breeds such as Labradors, French Bulldogs, Cocker Spaniels, terriers, and an Akita to name just a few :) Besides walking, this has included: feeding, bathing, light grooming (brushing/filing nails), administering oral medication and, of course, plenty of fuss and play!

Vicky and Tom have taken great care of our Boarder Terrier for the two weeks we have been away. We’ve had regular updates and photos showing she was having a great time. Our dog took to them both straight away on our pre-booking meeting. I would highly recommend them and will absolutely be asking them to care for her again when we next need it. Vicky and Tom are very caring for Empress. It’s always a challenge to provide care to a new dog for boarding, especially additional challenge under the heatwave of over 30 degrees. Vicky and Tom prepared Empress cooling mat and fan to keep her cool under the extreme scorching weather. Very grateful to have their love and patience with Empress who is always an anxious dog, but she feels safe and settled with them. Thank you very much for the photos and the updates. Had to quickly schedule a boarder for Sunny and Vicky’s been very quick at responding to our queries. Our dog has been well taken care of and would definitely recommend!
I booked Vicky to look after my dog Charlie whilst away for 8 days on a family holiday. I was anxious and concerned about leaving him as he is an older boy with some health issues and a recent diagnosis of dementia. Vicky invited me and Charlie to meet her prior to confirming the booking to check I was entirely happy which was a nice touch! I honestly would rebook with Vicky in a heart beat. I was made to feel at ease whilst away with regular updates and pictures. Charlie was clearly comfortable and happy whilst I was away and I couldn’t ask for more. He is a slightly more complicated boy with medicines and feeding routines, all of which was never an issue. If you are looking for a sitter for your pet I could not recommend Vicky enough. And finally….Thank you Vicky and Tom for welcoming Charlie into your home and taking such good care of him. I appreciate everything you did, Charlie was clearly treated and cared for like one of your own. It was clear to see when I come to pick him up how comfortable he was being with you!
My Aura was cared for by Vicky for four nights. Vicky and her husband did a great job as caregivers. Aura was well-cared for, well-fed, and went for frequent walks. We are very pleased and wholeheartedly recommend Vicky as a caregiver.

Schedule
I currently work full-time but work from home 3 days a week so am usually available all day/lunchtimes when I’m at home, as well as most evenings and weekends. This can be flexible depending on the amount of notice given. I will always try to be as flexible as possible to accommodate differing needs and requests. Please reach out and we can discuss!

Safety, trust & environment
I’m more than happy to accommodate your dog’s current routine/preferences, and will discuss these with you prior to our first walk/daycare/boarding, e.g. no dogs/no off lead/loves to play fetch etc/can or can’t have treats etc. We only have animals from one household at a time for familiarity and peace of mind.
A typical day
I want your dog to have the best time possible, whether that be playing fetch, having a slower sniffy walk, or a bit of both! For daycare/stays, I want your dog to feel like they’re at home, so if they usually play with a tug toy in the morning, we’ll play with a tug toy in the morning too! Again, happy to discuss this prior to the visit so that we can mirror what your pup is used to as closely as possible
