“Rebecca and Shaun took were extremely attentive to my dog's needs and treated her like one of their family members. Ore enjoyed her time sunbathing in their wonderful garden. The communication was excellent: Rebecca and Shaun kept me updated and sent me pictures of Ore for my peace of mind. I would not hesitate to book them again in the near future! Thank you.”

“Could have asked for a better sitter for our dog. She kept us updated with Nola's progress through the day. Her house was ample big enough with a big garden for Nola to run around in. Would recommend”

About: Hi, I’m Maria. My husband and I live in Hanwood Park, and together we offer a calm, loving, home-from-home environment where dogs and cats are truly treated as part of the family. I’ve grown up surrounded by dogs of many breeds and personalities — Schnauzers, Cocker Spaniels, Shih Tzus, Boxers, Lhasa Apsos, Weimaraners, and more — as well as cats. Over the years, friends and families have trusted me with their pets again and again, knowing they’ll be loved, understood, and cared for with patience and attention. What matters most to me is that every dog feels safe, relaxed, and emotionally settled while they’re with us. A Home Built on Trust, Not Just Care I know how hard it can be to leave your dog with someone else — they’re family, not “just a pet.” That’s why I’ve always focused on building long-term trust and familiarity with the dogs I care for, rather than quick, one-off stays. Because my husband and I work as a team of two, your dog benefits from: 🐾Constant human presence 🐾Consistent routines 🐾A calm, stable home environment 🐾Never left alone for long periods 🐾Plenty of affection, cuddles, and gentle play 🐾Walks tailored to your dog’s routine and energy level 🐾Access to a garden for fresh air and relaxed time outdoors 🐾Care adapted to your dog’s personality — playful or quiet, young or senior 🐾Regular updates, photos, or videos if you’d like We especially love caring for dogs whose owners are looking for consistency and continuity — a familiar home they can return to whenever you travel, work, or need support. When a dog stays with us, they’re not just being looked after — they’re welcomed into our home and cared for with patience, kindness, and respect. If you’d like to arrange a meet & greet or ask any questions, I’d be very happy to hear from you. We look forward to welcoming your dog My husband and I both work from home, which means your pet will have plenty of company, attention, and supervision throughout the day. We naturally build pet care into our daily routine, including walks, playtime, cuddles, feeding schedules, and quiet rest time. We’re available for boarding during weekdays, weekends, and longer stays, and we always aim to create a calm, loving environment where pets feel safe, relaxed, and part of the family. We provide a calm home environment with a secure garden, consistent routines, and lots of gentle attention and affection. Because there are two of us, pets are never left alone for long periods and always have someone nearby for reassurance and care. We take time to understand each pet’s personality, habits, and needs so they can feel settled, comfortable, and truly at home with us.
About: I am a compassionate, reliable, and experienced animal care professional with over 8 years of experience working as a Veterinary Nurse, alongside my current role as an Ambulance Clinician. Caring for others has always been at the heart of what I do, and animals have been a lifelong passion of mine. My veterinary background has given me extensive experience caring for animals of all breeds, ages, and temperaments, including those with medical needs, anxiety, or additional care requirements. I am confident administering medication, recognising signs of illness, and ensuring pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. Working as an Ambulance Clinician has strengthened my calm, responsible, and trustworthy nature, especially in high-pressure situations. I understand how important it is for owners to know their pets are in safe hands, and I treat every animal with the same care and affection I would give my own. Whether it’s walks, feeding, overnight stays, playtime, or companionship, I provide attentive, personalised care and genuinely love building bonds with animals I currently work shifts as an ambulance clinician, when I schedule pet care it will not be during my working days. My days when I am providing pet care will revolve around the animals normal routine or as close as I can. I provide a safe, clean, and calm environment for every pet in my care. I follow each pet's normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, exercise, medication (if required), and any special care instructions. I make sure pets always have access to fresh water, a secure space to rest, and plenty of attention, enrichment, and supervision. I have a fenced garden and have access to open fields with wooden fencing. When caring for pets in an owner's home, I respect the home and maintain the pet's usual routine to help them feel comfortable and reduce stress. I keep owners updated with regular messages, photos, and reports. Safety is my priority, so I monitor pets closely during walks, playtime, and interactions with other animals, and I follow all instructions regarding health, behavior, and emergency contacts
About: When I was about 10, we rescued my English Setter at the RSPCA. I trained him to trust humans again which wasn’t easy, taught him a range of tricks and provided him with unconditional love he had never received before. My pets are back home in Geneva, so I don’t own any pets in the UK at the moment. My friends refer to me as the biggest animal lover they’ve met, catch me petting every animal I pass by on the streets :) I’ve walked multiple dogs in my neighbourhood when my neighbours needed it, and took them home for the day when needed too! I work from home every day, and have a pretty relaxed schedule with one meeting a day as I am a developper, so I have plenty of extra time to look after your dog and take them on walks around the neighborhood :) I live in a detached house in Hanwood Park, I have a good-sized fenced garden where your dog can go running around and play, and also have a hose outside in case they get muddy so I can clean them up before they go back home!
About: I have been involved in caring for dogs for over 35 yrs as a qualified veterinary nurse, manager of a boarding breeding and rehousing kennels and currently as a dog trainer and with my own dogs. I am confident to support with medication, look after nervous, anxious and even aggressive dogs. I am passionate about puppy foundations and safe exposure to a wide variety of experiences to ensure the best start equipping your dog to have confidence and life skills. Your requirements can be discussed if you do have a young dog or even a dog needing to gain some confidence eg a rehome. I can provide a safe, warm home environment for elderly dogs and can offer them time and my experience to ensure they settle in my home. Your pet can socialise with my dogs if this is beneficial but can also be kept separately if required. I have experience working with guide dogs and assistance dogs. My own dogs have been registered Pets As Therapy dogs and used to help individuals conquer dog phobias. Please get in touch to discuss how I might be able to help. 1:1 training opportunities also available by request. I work part time and can devote part and full days to looking after your pet. Pets can be walked once or twice a day with regular toilet breaks. I have a fully secure garden with direct access to local fields and footpaths for county walks. Dogs can be with my own dogs or kept separately if required. Whichever is more beneficial for your pet. I am happy to use crates but this is not a necessity. Dogs can sleep upstairs if required and are welcome on the sofa.
“Hannah is amazing! Our girl had the best day ever and we were always kept up to date on how she was doing. Our dog can be a bit skeptical in new environments but she looked so relaxed and is exhausted from all the fun!”

About: I’ve been involved with animals ever since I can remember! From owning 3 horses and 2 beloved rescue dogs! I know how to adapt and change to each animal understanding not all of them are the same. I am also a qualified nurse so from my animal experience and nursing experience I’ve learnt how to communicate with both owner and animal. I work as an nurse as hoc and have enjoyed taking a break from the hospital!! And I have a wide range of availability and will most likely be free! I can communicate effectively with you the owner to understand where your pet is allowed. From owning two rescue dogs I’m also aware of certain dogs being afraid or aggressive to other dogs so I would walk on other side of the path to keep dogs away. I have had a huge experience around poorly pets- My current rescue has to have regular medication including injections and eye drops, I have also had experience with strokes amongst dogs and post operative care. My being a vet has enabled me to pick up critical information for dealing with emergency’s and the general health and well being of animals. I am also aware that dogs love company and like other dogs so I’m suited to all pet needs. I also give great cuddles and I seem to have a good track record with pets and they seem to always want more! I have plenty of time to play with your pups or cats due to being a newly graduate from university. I am available weekdays, weekends and all times of the day. I will ensure your dog remains in eye contact to make sure there’s no escapes. My sister is a qualified vet and my experience and knowledge of emergency care has grown from her. I will have your vets contact number in my phone before any visit/sitting.
“Glenda is a great dog sitter. She asked to meet beforehand to make sure we were and good fit and asked lots of questions to ensure she had all the information needed. I was sent updates and very cute videos of my dog throughout the day. Glenda is great to communicate with and is very accommodating too. My dog left very happy, full, all played out and well looked after, after spending the day with Glenda and her lovely dog. Couldn’t really ask for anything more!! I will definitely be asking Glenda to look after my boy again! Highly recommend!!”

About: I have experience caring for dogs and cats of different ages, sizes, and temperaments, including puppies, senior pets, and nervous animals. I focus on creating a calm and safe environment where pets feel comfortable and can stick closely to their normal routines. What sets me apart is my attention to detail and reliability. I take time to understand each pet’s individual needs, whether that’s extra patience on walks, structured routines, or gentle care for older pets. I always aim to build trust quickly with both pets and owners, and I provide clear, regular updates so owners feel reassured while they are away. My partner also frequently assists me with pet care and often stays with me during house sits. I am punctual, responsible, and committed to making sure every pet is well cared for, exercised, and given plenty of attention. I am currently working and studying from home so I am available for all pet needs and services. Caring for pets is already apart of my daily routine having many pets myself. I’m able to care for pets both in my own home and in the pet owner’s home, depending on what is most comfortable for the pet and preferred by the owner. When caring for pets in the owner’s home, I aim to keep their routine as normal as possible. This includes feeding, fresh water, litter tray cleaning, playtime, and any specific instructions such as medication. I also make sure the home is left clean and secure, and I provide regular updates with photos so the owner has peace of mind. When caring for pets in my own home, I provide a safe, calm, and pet-friendly environment. I ensure they have a comfortable space, follow their usual feeding routine, and give them plenty of attention, exercise, and supervision. I treat every pet as if they were my own and make sure they feel relaxed and cared for during their stay. In both cases, my priority is always the pet’s wellbeing, comfort, and safety.

About: Hi, I'm Oli! While I am just starting out with professional pet sitting, I have loved, owned, and cared for animals my entire life. For me, pets aren't just a hobby - they are family, and I know exactly how tough it can be to leave your four legged best friend behind. I am always looking after my friends' dogs when they go away, and I’ve proudly become their reliable friend who they know they can always count on. I also have my own 7 years old Beagle named Barney, so your pup will have a very friendly, experienced companion to hang out with. Whether your pup is a high energy explorer who thrives on long, active walks or prefers belly rubs and lounging around, I adapt completely to their personality and your specific routine. Since I work from home, I am around throughout the day to provide constant company, regular potty breaks, and plenty of attention while I work. You can have total peace of mind knowing they are in a great environment, as I have a spacious house with plenty of room for dogs to relax and stretch their legs, alongside a big, fully secure garden that is absolutely perfect for zoomies and playing fetch. Your pup will never be short on attention, affection, or companionship. I can't wait to meet your dog and give them the best day ever! My daily and weekly routine is built around an active lifestyle and plenty of pet companionship. I am a first line technical support specialist, and because I work from home, I am around throughout the day to provide constant company and regular potty breaks between my incoming calls. My days start and end with movement. I am very active and I love walking, which means your pup will join me for dedicated, refreshing walks right before I log on for work and immediately after I finish my shift. During the workday, guest dogs hang out with me and my friendly 7 years old Beagle, Barney. They have total peace of mind in a spacious four bedroom house with plenty of room to stretch their legs, alongside a big, fully secure garden that is absolutely perfect for play time. Because I work remotely, my setup allows me to provide consistent, background companionship throughout the day while managing my tasks. When I care for pets in the owner's home, my approach is all about minimising their stress by keeping them in familiar surroundings. For drop-in visits, I use my midday break or after work hours to pop in, refresh food and water, clean litter trays, and offer one-on-one attention. If an owner requires overnight house sitting, I stay at their property to provide security and comfort through the night, and I can easily bring my laptop to work right from their space during the day to keep their pet company if required. No matter the setting, I keep owners completely connected to their pets by sending regular, detailed updates alongside plenty of photos and messages.

Lina was quite professional in her communication and ensured that she kept me updated through the day on how Pluto was doing.Pluto definitely was a happy pup when I picked him up end of the day. It was also good to know that Pluto warmed up to Moose as he is scheduled for a a longer stay at a later date . It was also good that she had a meet and greet initially to ensure Moose and Pluto get along well. Highly recommend.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
