Wood Green Animal Shelter Approved Couple
We’ve had a family of four rescue terriers for twenty years and since the eldest one passed over the rainbow bridge we’ve not been able to consider a new addition to the family due to work commitments. However we have a dog safe (stair free) house and garden, lots of love to give and some free weekends each month where we’d love to help out other pawrents who hate leaving their pups! We are happy to follow your every instruction to ensure they have a home from home experience. Happy to walk them locally on the lovely conservation area where we live, or chase a ball or take a walk on our half acre secured garden; whichever you prefer. We are used to demanding, high care and high need dogs, unspecialised rescues and are comfortable with both very young and very old dogs who have additional needs (and little accidents, our house is tiled for ease of cleaning) we are approved with Wood Green Animal Shelter and recently took a litter of 5 puppies with very high medical needs. Drop them off on a Friday (or Thursday night by request) and collect on a Sunday (or before 8am Monday) or just pop them in for the day, evening or single night. We’ll send you regular pics and videos to help you relax if that helps and promise you we’ll look after them as if they were our very own fur babies. Debbie & Nick.

This is the second time that Debbie and her husband have looked after Lola for me and she couldn’t have been in safer hands. They both look after her like she’s their own with lots of play and snuggle time. We are given lots of updates and Lola settles really well. My number one go to when we need a sitter :)
This is the first time we have ever left our 2 year old dog. We had a meet and greet with Deborah and Nick and we were at ease straight away as they were so friendly was very helpful from the start. We gave Rio's schedule and they followed it.We were kept updated on the day to show how Rio was so we felt at ease. Deborah was even honest to tell us he didn't eat and sleep well and that is natural as this was his first time. Thank you we will definitely book again.
Betsy is a shy girl but settled in straight away with Deborah. She was made to feel at home with treats, toys and lots of fuss. Deborah sent lots of photos and updates throughout Betsy’s stay. Would happily rebook Deborah again for Betsy’s next weekend away 😁
Perfect dog sitters for Phoebe. Nothing seemed to much trouble! We were so nervous to leave her with someone new but were reassured straight away by seeing a video and pictures of Phoebe playing and relaxing! We will definitely be booking again. Thank you so much :).
We left Frankie with Deborah and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Frankie is a very nervous dog, and Deborah instantly put both us and him at ease. She completely charmed him. He stayed with Deborah from Saturday to Sunday, and by Sunday he was running up to them, something he has never done with anyone before. That alone says everything. Deborah sent lots of updates throughout, which made me feel so comfortable that I never once felt the need to check in. I genuinely felt like Frankie was with family. I couldn’t recommend Deborah more.
Such a lovely couple and obvious dog lovers. They were thoughtful from the start, asked great questions, took the time to read Cleo’s info on Rover, and kept me updated throughout. Communication was brilliant and I felt completely at ease leaving her with them. Cleo was clearly very well cared for and happy — I’d absolutely recommend them and would book again in a heartbeat!

We work full time but work from home on a Friday so can accept drop offs Thursday evening or Friday but would need a collection either on a Sunday or before 7:30am on a Monday

Safety, trust & environment
We have a fully enclosed large garden and further enclosed small paved area for even safer night time toilet trips. We are located at the end of a no through road that overlooks a conservation area green and have a large driveway. We have almost no traffic and it’s a super safe environment to drop off/pick up and unload as much ‘stuff’ as you want your pup to have in your absence. Happy to crate or share the bed- whatever your dog is used to.
A typical day
We are equally happy keeping a nervous sedate dog company in front of the tv on a lazy weekend as we are taking a high energy one on multiple walks a day. Our garden is segmented to keep an escapee terrier in a small enclosed space for toilet breaks or chasing a ball and running around in the bigger space.
