My journey as a pet sitter started when a friend needed someone urgently—I stepped in, and word of mouth quickly took over. Soon, friends of friends began reaching out, and what started as a favour turned into something I genuinely love. Since I’m not able to have a pet at home, I cherish every opportunity to care for others' animals and make the most of each experience. Whether it’s a playful puppy or a senior pet needing extra attention, I treat every animal with love, patience, and personalised care as if they were my own.

Safety, trust & environment
When caring for pets in a pet owner's home, I prioritize their safety and comfort, as well as the security of the home. I make sure that any areas the pet has access to are pet-proofed, ensuring there are no hazards like open doors, toxic plants, or dangerous objects. I’m very attentive to each pet’s specific needs, whether it’s sticking to their regular routine, giving medications, or making sure they get enough exercise. Since I work from home, I’m able to offer constant supervision, providing pets with the attention and care they deserve. I make sure to follow any instructions the pet owner gives to ensure the pet feels as comfortable and safe as possible. Whether it's during a house sit or just a walk, the pet’s well-being is my top priority.

Vania was absolutely brilliant with Bear. He was happy, relaxed and clearly well cared for the entire time. She also left the house spotless and tidy. Communication was excellent too. She sent us regular photo updates while we were away, which really put our minds at ease. We’d 100% book Vania again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.
As always Jasper & Coco were happy with Vania. All instructions were followed and dogs were well looked after.

Vania looked after Bear for a week and did a wonderful job. Bear needed some time to get used to having her around the house, but thanks to Vania’s kindness and patience, he gradually became comfortable with her. As a typical Chow Chow, Bear doesn’t trust people or animals easily, so earning his trust is no small thing—and Vania truly managed to do that. I really appreciated the calm and respectful way she handled him, and I’d happily recommend her to anyone with a more sensitive or reserved dog.

Schedule
I work from home full time and honestly need a few distractions during the day—so a fluffy cuddle is always welcome! Pet care fits in naturally with my routine. I’m available to house sit (I just need an office set up and an available screen), and I can do drop-in visits and walks around lunchtime and after 4 p.m. It’s a great way to break up my workday and spend time with animals, which I love.
