We were a week and a half away from going abroad for our wedding and were truly concerned we weren’t going to find anyone willing to take on our little handful but Abbie was so kind, took time out of her day to meet with us twice to ensure her dog and our dogs were fine, and then cared for our dogs as if they were her own. She send lovely videos and photos from their adventures on walks and sunset bbq’s and Bo came back happy that he hadn’t just made friends with Abbie’s little dog Bumble, but two large hound pups that I would never have believe Bo would tolerate. She saved our bacon and we are so happy we have her now for future holidays when we need the dogs to have a home from home x”

Back at home I have three dogs, Two Jack Russells and Border Collie cross; a very busy household! About: I am a Dog Trainer, with a Level 4 certification. I started my career with dogs volunteering in a Grey Hound Rehome Kennel and then became a Dog Handler in 2020, since then I have completed my Dog Trainer qualification and have trained numerous working dogs in different specialised roles, from Search to Police. I currently own a retired working dog, called Rocco, a 6 year old LabX and a Belgian Malinois, Arya, who is a year old. My dogs are very well behaved and tolerant of all temperaments. They are a playful, high-energy bunch however will respect a dogs space if they are more timid. My daily work as a Dog Trainer includes addressing behavioural cases, from reactivity to human aggression cases and troubleshooting handler issues. I have aided with pet and sport dog owners providing guidance on obedience, tracking and scent-work training. Experienced with a wide variety of breeds and temperaments. I have a very flexible schedule at the moment so can give my full attention to the dogs in my care. I am available weekends and most days with prior confirmation. About: Growing up I've always had animals, including dogs, cats. I used to spend a few weeks a year with my family on my uncles farm helping out. I had a black lab cross, but lost him 2 years ago, he was beautiful although a little crazy, but loved long country walks and plenty of cuddles. About: I'M BACK! After taking 6 months off to breed and train my next generation of Rhodesian Ridgebacks, I am happy to say that I am available again! I own two dogs, one cat and two horses, some of whom you can see on my profile! I would definitely say that I am an animal person haha! Over the years, I have learnt dog training skills such as how to remedy a dog who pulls on the lead or jumps up. I am experienced in administering medication for both dogs and cats and can even bathe them for you if needed! I am more than happy to do drop-ins for cats to feed and top up their water when needed if you don’t need me to stay over night! If you have any other small pets, I'm more than happy and experienced in looking after them for you whilst you're away (I grew up with mice, rabbits and Giant African Snails)! If you have horses, there is no need to put them into livery either, as I can look after them too when you go away! A bit about myself: I work from home which fits in great with dog sitting, as all I have to do is remember to bring my laptop with me! Don't worry, your pets will get plenty of exercise, socialisation and of course lots of love and care with me! Recently fostering a dog for 3 months and got her trained up before she went to her new home which she's succeeding in! I own a car so I'm happy to travel. And with your permission if you leave your dog with me over night or for a few days, I can take them to locations such as the Peak District to get some quality time in, otherwise to the local parks and nature reserves. 😁 I do have a really big garden which is fenced off. If we require use of a create then we can encourage that with your dog, we just request to provide a bed or item that your dog is currently familiar with to keep in the crate if crate time is required, we want to keep the environment as familiar as possible to help reduce anxiety. My house has multiple cameras situated throughout the property, inside and outside for peace of mind. I work full time but I work different shifts weekly but I know what I'm working well in advance, and I have my partner to lend a hand. “Billie and her partner looked after my dog Doris for me for 10 days, they are a nice couple, their house was a perfect size for my dog. When I arrived to drop Doris off to my embarrassment within 10 minutes she was sick not once but twice on the living room floor, I couldn't believe it but both Billie and her partner were chilled about it, they understand Bulldogs which definitely helped. Throughout the time Billie texted me photos and messages about how my dog had settled in nicely and how Doris didn't like her partners guitar playing which I found hilarious and so did they (I think). We have an anxious dog after he was attacked on a walk and it was the first time they had been looked after in a sitters home since, but we knew after the initial meet up that Kathryn would be the perfect choice.
