Information Sophie A. would like to know about your pet

I like to know any particular behaviours that need to be taken into consideration, what they are like around other dogs, how they are in the home etc. I have a lot of experience with anxious dogs - I just need you to be transparent.

A typical day

I love to stimulate visiting dogs both mentally and physically with long walks, games, and cuddles. We have lots of toys and spend the evenings cuddling on the sofa.

Pet care experience

I’ve grown up surrounded by dogs and have always had a genuine passion for caring for them. From energetic puppies to older companions, I understand that every dog has its own personality and needs. Any dog staying with us will be treated with kindness, patience, and plenty of affection, just like part of the family. My husband, Fergus, and I live in Knighton in a welcoming home with a secure, medium-sized garden, perfect for safe play and relaxation. I work from home full-time as a civil servant, which means your dog will have company and attention throughout the day. We’re just a short two-minute walk from Knighton Park, and we also enjoy longer outings, with Bradgate Park being a particular favourite for scenic walks and adventures. Our dog, Rosie, is a show-type Cocker Spaniel (born June 2024). She has a gentle and sweet nature and loves meeting new canine friends. Rosie is naturally submissive, which makes her especially good with other dogs. She enjoys playful interactions, particularly with dogs of a similar size. We want every dog to feel completely at ease during their stay. They are welcome to relax on the sofa, explore the house, and settle wherever they feel most comfortable. Sleeping arrangements are flexible. We can follow your dog’s usual routine, whether that means their own bed, the sofa, or a crate. Our aim is to create a calm, familiar environment so your dog feels happy, secure, and at home.

Sophie, as always, did a fantastic job of looking after Zelda. Thank you!

Sophie has looked after Zelda for us before and we didn't hesitate in asking Sophie to look after her again. Sophie kept us well updated, with lots of great photos, and has cared for Zelda brilliantly - taking her for lots of walks, to a dog park and lots of other great things to do. We wouldn't ask anybody else to care for Zelda now! Thank you.

Sophie was an absolutely wonderful person to look after our dog. Sophie kept us well updated and our dog seemed right at home in the photos we were sent. We can't thank or recommend her enough!
