“Kay was fantastic, I have a very nervous dog and she accommodated a meeting the day before the walk and Loki loved her. However on the day of the walk he was so scared when Kay arrived to walk him and wouldn't go near her. Kay kept me informed the whole time and stayed with him in the house for the hour building trust and making sure he felt comfortable with her. Managed to get him into the garden with her so at least I knew he had been able to go to the toilet while I was out. I don't think everyone would have been happy staying with a scared dog like that so I'm really impressed and will be using Kay again so we can build Loki up to a walk with Kay in the future”

“I used Amy to look after my 2 year old Miniature Labradoodle, Willow. Amy was really professional and cared for Willow as if she was her own. Amy looked after Willow so well that it was almost a struggle to get Willow to want to come home. I would highly recommend Amy for your doggy day care needs. “We would strongly recommend Ruth Arnott to anyone looking for a house and pet sitter when they need to leave their home for any reason. She was very methodical in having as many details as possible regarding the running of house and care of animals, including any quirky information that would help her make the changeover from us leaving, to her taking over, as smooth as possible. She asked for directions to the house to ensure she arrived on time, demonstrating she thinks ahead. Ruth confirmed all as planned the day beforehand and arrived punctually on the due date so that we were able to leave when planned. Apart from the obvious routine day to day itinerary, she also insisted on having emergency details of contacts, should she not be able to get through to us for any reason, and would we prefer regular updates, or proceed on a ‘no news was good news’ basis giving us a complete break from domestic chores and responsibilities. On our return home, there was a welcome cup of tea on the table, our house was as clean and tidy as when we left , perhaps more so!, and our dog was walking happily at her heels with a wagging tail. Hens still laying as many eggs a day as when we left, which can only mean they have been well looked after , and were contentedly pecking away under the trees. Ruth comes over as a very reliable, competent and caring person who we trust completely. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a house/ pet sitter.”

About: I am a proud cat owner of two beautiful cats and I have also got experience as a dog walker in an animal rescue centre. I love animals and I think they are part of the family. I treat my cats as two more members of my family and they enjoy our company. I make sure they feel safe and well looked after.
