Paula and John are outstanding dog sitters. They are so caring and knowledgable about dogs. Our 1 year old cocker poo called Max has been with them for the first time for the last 2 nights and has been so well looked after. They take the time to get to know the dog during a meet and greet and really put my mind at rest. They kept us posted with info and photos which were so great to receive. Our Max has had a wonderful time with them. I will 100% be using them again and would highly recommend them as dog sitters. Thanks a million Paula and John 🙌🐶

Freddie had the perfect stay. It’s always worrying when using someone new but Samantha and her husband was so friendly and asked lots of questions about Freddie which was reassuring that they were making sure they knew things about Freddie to make his stay perfect. The updates were also very much appreciated. The resident dog, Eddie was perfect for Freddie and gave him space. Hopefully Freddie will become a regular visitor as will not hesitate to use Samatha again.

About: I’ve always had animals in my life—dogs, cats, and even exotics. In Spain, my family and I share our home with three dogs and four cats. I love being around them and truly understand their needs, routines, and little quirks. Right now, I care for many pets from friends and colleagues who trust me not only because I’m a vet, but because I genuinely adore animals. My home is a calm, safe space—no other pets or children—so your companion gets relaxed, one-on-one attention. Because I travel a lot and live on my own, I can’t have my own pets at the moment. That means I can give 100% of my time and attention to yours, treating them like family. By the way, I’m a qualified vet—so your furry (or scaly!) friends are in safe, caring hands. I work four days per week from 9 am to 6:00 pm, with weekends off. During working days, I am available for morning and evening care, and I can also use my break to check on or walk your dog if needed. On weekends, I have full availability and can stay with your pet, providing more consistent care, companionship, and attention. I don’t have pets of my own, so your pet will feel right at home with me and get all my attention and affection. They’re more than welcome on the sofa and bed, and I’m happy for them to sleep with me if that’s what they’re used to. I don’t have a garden, but there’s a park right in front of my home where I can take them for regular walks and fresh air. My home is very safe for cats, with no open windows and secure balconies. I always try to create a calm, cosy environment where pets can relax, feel safe, and be treated like part of the family.

Jodie was absolutely fantastic looking after Buddy. From the moment we met, it was clear she genuinely loves and understands dogs. Buddy settled in straight away and was so happy and relaxed in her care. Throughout his stay, Jodie kept me updated with regular messages and photos, which gave me complete peace of mind. It was lovely to see how much fun Buddy was having and how well he was being looked after. When I collected him, he was happy, healthy, and clearly had a wonderful time. I wouldn't hesitate to book with Jodie again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and professional dog sitter. Thank you, Jodie, for taking such great care of Buddy!

About: I’ve always loved caring for dogs and have experience looking after my own dog as well as regularly caring for family / friends dogs. I’ve also had the opportunity to look after a dog through Rover, which gave me experience caring for someone else’s pet and making sure they felt safe, happy and comfortable. I’m reliable, caring and attentive, and I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine and needs. I’ll always make sure your dog gets plenty of attention, care and affection while they’re with me. I work full-time during the week, but I’m available for evening walks and drop-in visits after 6pm. I have full availability at weekends and can also offer overnight boarding from Friday through to Sunday. I have a fenced garden for your dog to run around and have plenty of space. It is also a smoke free home / child free and I do not currently have any other pets.

About: I have been around dogs for most of my life. I currently own a German Shepherd, Sajrus, who is the light of my world. I have trained him myself to perform some simple tricks like laying his face on my hand or walking between my legs. He has long hair so I’ve also got great experience with brushing and dealing with the lovely hair left all over my clothes (note I am not a professional dog groomer). Sajrus is also a dog with a good few allergies, which he receives medication for daily (pills), giving me some good experience on giving pets their medication. I also have experience with taking care of a range of different sized dogs, from Amstaff dogs too French bulldogs. Though I do not have as much experience with cats, as I've never owned one, I’ve been around a range of different cats owned by my friends or family, some more skiddish and some more feisty. I’m patient and more than willing to take time to get to know your pet and how i can make them feel comfortable and happy, ensuring you have nothing to worry about.:) I’m also Polish and fluent in both polish and English so if your pet (like mine) doesn’t respond to commands in English but may in the latter, I am able to provide. Im currently on break so im available most days and nights of the week, including weekends, up until the 5TH of SEPTEMBER. So im more than open for any arrangements throughout the whole week, as well as any last minute arrangements PS. Please be aware however that I may not be able to offer last minute arrangements for curtain services as well as reactive or overly aggressive dogs, though I am always open for discussion. Everything is explained below and in the *know in advance about your pets* section of my profile The amount of drop ins or dog walks I can provide a day may vary on the distance between residences, this can be discussed during the booking. If you plan on boarding your pup or joining our doggy day care, I will REQUIRE that all dogs that are to be present are to meet up and interact before hand, so that you and I have the piece of mind knowing that the dogs get along. I am only be able to provide pick up and drop offs for dogs in boarding or doggy day care if you live a 30 to 40 minutes max away by foot from my house as I do not have a liscence. This is also because, depending on the weather I wouldn't want the pup to struggle in the heat/cold or tear/scrape their paw pads from walking on the asfalt for too long, as many paths don't have a lot of green patches the dog can walk on to prevent this. I am open to discussing any different arrangements and prices you may have in mind. Please message about availability if you have a curtain day and time in mind, as I am generally free every day till the 5TH of SEPTEMBER but may have some appointments I have to attend during the day. Please contact me with any questions.:) I have a lovely German shepherd which I take on long walks, feed, groom, play with, train and administer medication too. We often go over his training/tricks or do some sniff searching (looking for hidden toys) to tire him out not only physically but also mentally. He is a larger dog (41kg), but overall I’m quite capable of keeping control of him on leash ,even if he sees a leaf flying by and decides it’s his personal mission to catch it. While your pet is under my care, I will treat them as if they are my own, and so follow the same principles I do with my dog, ensuring that we all have a good time. If you would like I can even try teaching your pups some simple, fun tricks that I had taught mine. Note, however, their is no guarantee that they will , as each dog is different and differently motivated. I am not a profesional trainer, just someone who has a simple understanding of teaching dogs, and a willing, food motivated, German shepherd. When the heat isn’t smouldering we spend a lot of time together in our garden, playing fetch and running around, there are also quite a few places in the garden providing shade and a cool place to rest. The park that is a 5min walk from the house also provides a good amount of space for running and playing, as well as shade provided by the trees, so that even on hot days walks can be enjoyed. The patio also allows for comfortable night sits, allowing the dog to cool off in the cold night air, from a long day.

About: **I have hands-on experience with dogs, cats and other small pets through dog grooming, pet retail, animal welfare support, and personal pet ownership. I currently share my home with two friendly dogs and two cats, and I regularly care for friends' pets. I'm confident handling pets with a wide range of personalities and needs and I take a calm, patient approach to help them feel safe, comfortable, and secure.** **My experience includes helping to rehome animals, supporting local welfare initiatives, and working alongside a veterinary practice on animal welfare and community education projects. I'm DBS checked, trained in pet first aid through professional grooming courses, and committed to providing the same level of care and attention I'd want for my own pets.** **As a qualified dog groomer, I can also offer puppy introduction sessions, bath-and-tidy appointments, and full grooms during your dog's stay. Grooming sessions are tailored to each dog and carried out at a relaxed pace, with plenty of breaks and positive reinforcement to keep the experience as enjoyable and stress-free as possible.** **To provide the best experience for every guest, I only accept small dogs who are friendly with cats and comfortable in a home environment. My goal is to create a true home-from-home where dogs can relax, play, enjoy companionship, and feel part of the family while you're away. Whether your dog loves adventures, playtime, cuddles on the sofa, or simply a quiet place to unwind, they'll receive plenty of individual attention, affection, and care.** **I want every dog who stays with me to be excited to come back—a place where they can have fun, feel safe, and enjoy their own little holiday while you enjoy yours. We are lucky to have great walks on our doorstep and are frequent visitors of secure doggy parks nearby so no dogs will be bored here!** I work from home, so I'm here throughout the day. Pets staying with us become part of our daily life, rather than being left alone for long periods. Walks, playtime, cuddles, rest breaks, and any grooming appointments can be tailored around each dog’s individual needs and routine. I live with two small, friendly dogs and two cats in a home with secure, fenced front and back gardens, with a gate between them for flexibility. The house is at the end of a private driveway, with no streets directly outside, and fields nearby with plenty of wildlife to observe. I only accept small dogs who are comfortable around cats and enjoy a home environment. I want dogs staying with me to feel as though they’re on holiday rather than in kennels. I can quickly separate dogs if needed, keep pets separate for meals or rest time, and follow any routines or instructions owners provide. Having worked with many different animals, including nervous and rescue pets, I’m happy to go at their pace and help them settle in comfortably.

About: What sets me apart is my combination of hands-on pet care experience and professional veterinary training. I have my own two dogs, and my boyfriend has four, so I’m very comfortable caring for multiple dogs with different personalities, routines, and needs. I’m currently studying for a Bachelor of Science degree in Veterinary Nursing, which means I’m constantly expanding my knowledge of animal health, behaviour, and wellbeing. I’ve also completed my placement year in a veterinary emergency hospital, where I cared for hundreds of cats and dogs of all ages, breeds, and medical needs. This experience has given me the confidence to recognise signs of illness, provide attentive care, and handle pets that may need extra support. Alongside my studies, I’ve provided pet sitting and dog walking services for several owners, including staying in clients’ homes to ensure their pets remain comfortable and settled in their usual environment. Above all, I genuinely love animals and treat every pet as if they were my own. I’m reliable, caring, and have my own car, allowing me to travel and provide flexible care in your local area.

About: Please note, I have marked term time weekends as unavailable due to my working pattern, but may be able to accommodate evening catsitting bookings during these weekends. Please message me for more details! Hi there! My name is Nikki, I'm 30 and I work 2 part time jobs at a university as a librarian and wellbeing coordinator and I've loved cats for many years. I am also a volunteer for Cats Protection. My first proper family cat was Dilly who we had for 10 years until she passed away in 2020 and me and my partner currently have Easton who we adopted in July 2021. Then little Duffy joined us February 2023 after we found her in the middle of a road in Duffield (hence her name!). I love that cats are very independent animals but are also so caring and loving. One of the reasons I love cats is because of how clever they are and that you need to build up a bit of a relationship with them but following that they can be so loyal!

Niki did a brilliant job with our two cats, Billy and Pablo. We gave her a challenging situation with an elderly cat who sleeps a lot and a young cat, who loves to play. She asked about their likes and dislikes and how they reacted with one another. Their strong food drive is their only shared trait and Niki fed them separately, in their favourite places, to prevent fighting. She sent photos and updates every day, and the cats looked happy and healthy when we got back. The house was lovely and tidy, too. We'll certainly rebook!

She kept us updated with daily photos and also offered to water plants and feed our fish. She was very attentive , friendly and always responded quickly to any communications . About: I've taken care of pets since I was a small child. I grew up on a farm in the Peak District and was always surrounded by animals and nature. As an adult I have taken care of family dogs and cats when they have gone on vacation. I am teacher however during the school holidays I am not working and have availability to look after your pets. I have this flexibility to walk your dog or spend time playing and keeping your pet company. Please note that if you are booking to board on a weekend during term time, the Friday drop off will need to be after 4:30pm. And Sunday pick up will to be before 9pm. I have a high fenced garden, I don't have any pets currently living with me at home. My home is suitable for pets and all this not suitable will be locked away. The safety of your pet is my priority.

About: I have always been around dogs since I was born. I am well educated on how to recognise what a dog needs and how to care for them. As well as looking after my own dogs, I began frequently taking on pet-sitting jobs for my neighbours when I became old enough. I also participated in helping dogs train for agility competitions. I also have a lot of experience with having owned rats, rabbits and guinea pigs. I graduated university last year with a BSc in Psychology with Criminology, and I am hoping to use Rover to gain further experience with animals in a professional setting with plans that I will become a Clinical Animal Behaviourist in the future (after funding and completing my Level 7 qualification). I am likely free to look after your furry friend any time! I have a Level 3 CPD Accredited qualification for Animal First Aid and CPR, as well as an Enhanced DBS check, making me a reliable and safe option to choose when looking after your pets. I am also fully insured, and will listen and tend to any specific needs you may have for your animals when visiting your home to pet sit, do home visits or to take them on dog walks. They will always have all of my attention and love.

We recently hired Steve look after our dog, and he was fantastic! Our dog Maximus took to him right away, which is a great sign. Steve is friendly, easy to talk to, and really knows how to connect with dogs. After a walk, our dog came back happy and relaxed, which reassured me that he was in good hands. I’ll definitely be booking Steve again in the new year! If you’re looking for someone to look after your dog who genuinely cares, I highly recommend him! 😊 Thanks again

About: I've been around animals since I was little, from cats, to dogs, to birds... and chickens!! I often take care of animals in my free time for my friends and family whether it's for a night or a few days. I'm currently working full time so I'm strictly only available on the weekends. I'm happy for check-in, stay overs or walks! I've not usually had any issues with any dogs or cats I have looked after, if there is a specific need for your animal that I should be aware of, I will ask you for a set on instructions before our first appointment

About: I've grown up and been with dogs my entire life. Whether puppies, adult dogs or even oldies. I love dogs so much, just being around them makes me happy and I love caring for them. I will look after your dog like my own. Because I rescued my own dog, I have a deep understanding of canine body language, patience, and the unique needs of dogs who might be a bit shy, anxious, or slow to warm up to new people. Your dog’s safety and emotional comfort are my absolute top priorities. I work part-time, which means I have a highly flexible schedule and plenty of room to take breaks for lunchtime walks, toilet breaks, and structured play. I love being active and exploring local parks around Derby, especially Chad and Oakwood area but I am equally happy providing quiet, gentle company for dogs who prefer to take things slow. My Experience & Approach Rescue Ready: Highly experienced with rescue dog quirks, anxious behaviors, and positive-reinforcement techniques. Working from Home: Your dog will have constant supervision, routine, and a calm environment. Tailored Care: Whether your dog needs a high-energy sniffari walk or just a gentle stretch and some garden play, I adapt entirely to their pace. I look forward to meeting you and your furry best friend for a chat beforehand! Because I know that every dog is different, some want space, some want cuddles, some love playing, I will adapt my approach as per your dog's personality and liking. I'm currently part time work from home so can accommodate your dog’s schedule whether that's for a walk or drop ins or house sitting. I take care of my lovely rescue every day and she's a demanding girl so I know how to care for dogs who have lots of personality. I am fully insured for my services. I'm also enhanced DBS checked as I work with young people and am first aid trained so can support with any needs of your dog. For house sitting, I will care for your dog completely and will also take care of any house stuff like bins etc in case they need going out. I will keep to their schedules and give lots of love, play and fuss so they never feel not cared for.

About: *there is no pet in our house! Momo continues to live with Jerry’s parents when Jerry moves to the UK! I have a cute little cat named momo and have taken care of her for 9 years, covering the span from a small kitten to a senior cat. I am pretty good at taking care of a cat’s basic need and know how to respect them and give them spaces. Additionally, I also have a loving girlfriend who is caring to animals! She had experience taking care of dogs and will like to work with me as a team to take care of your dog! If you have a small dog, no problem! Jess had an experience taking care of dogs for over 10 years! It was a lovely Shih Tzu dog and she will care for your dog equally! Currently working full-time so will likely to be available during the weekends and weekdays after four. Of course every pet has their habits so I can be flexible. My girlfriend works from home so she can also be a big helper to take care of them. I have a decent size apartment with a guest bedroom, your furry child can have its own space or stay close to people depending on their personalities.

About: Four years ago I got my dog Snoop who I’ve raised from 8 weeks old. Since then I’ve looked after lots of family and friends’ dogs so am used to looking after lots of different breeds. Before Snoop, I regularly took care of my family dog and again was heavily involved in his training from having him as a puppy. My own pup loves to socialise and we walk twice a day so your own pooch will get plenty of exercise with us. I work full time as a teacher so I would be available to look after your pup anytime from Friday night until Sunday night. I’m also available during school holidays. I have a fenced garden that is very dog secure. Believe me it has to be with my own escape artist! My dog has the run of the house and your dog would too if you are happy with this. Happy to discuss any further requirements.

About: I’ve always grown up surrounded by pets, both cats and dogs, so caring for animals has always been a big part of my life. I’ve previously had two dogs and a cat of my own — a German Shepherd, a Fox Red Labrador, and a blind rescue cat — so you could definitely say I’m used to a busy, full house! I’m very comfortable caring for breeds that require plenty of exercise, stimulation and attention, so looking after your pets will be a breeze. At the same time, I’m more than happy to slow things down and spend some quality time cuddling and relaxing with them too! I have a hybrid role, which means I’m able to spend plenty of time with your pets and make sure they receive lots of love, attention and company while I’m with them. I understand how important it is for pets to feel comfortable and settled, so I’ll always aim to keep their routine as familiar as possible. When pet sitting your pets, I’ll always discuss your preferences and your pet’s usual routine with you beforehand. They’ll be supervised whenever they’re let outside, and I’ll keep them on leads during walks unless you’ve specifically advised otherwise. If your pet has any special requirements, routines, behavioural needs or additional measures that need to be followed, I’ll of course respect these and make sure they’re properly cared for. My priority is to make sure your pets feel safe, happy and loved while you’re away! :) As I work a hybrid role, I have plenty of flexibility throughout the day to pop in for visits, let your pets out or take them for a walk. On the days I work from home, I can also offer day care from your home or my home, meaning your pet can have company and care throughout the day. Please feel free to message me to discuss your pet’s needs and how I can help! :) I offer pet care in either your home or mine, providing plenty of attention, supervision and, of course, lots of cuddles for your fur babies! I’m happy to tailor my care to suit your pet’s individual needs and your specific requirements, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable and well cared for throughout their stay.
