I volunteer with various organisations on a part time basis including Derbyshire Mind and The Cinnamon Trust so I have a very flexible routine perfect anyone looking for a new pet nanny or walker. I am able to offer house and pet sits in the home for both long and short stays, and will send daily 'pupdates' for you to enjoy, so you can be assured that your pet is in the best hands!

I offer walks both long and short based on the pets individual needs and preferences. One hour is offered as standard to both walks and drop ins. I like to offer experiences rather than a generic 'walk' or drop in so will incorporate enrichment in everything I do. I will take your pets on a sniffari or play games with them. I love to incorporate enrichment into everything that I do from visiting new places, to meeting new dogs for a playdate. Every package is bespoke to your pets needs, and tailored with you and your pet in mind. If you book with me for a stay, I will offer a proposed plan in which I will outline everything that I will do while with your pets. From feeding and medication schedule, to places we hope to visit together. I will endeavour to meet all your requests and will work with your pets on basic training and commands to ensure that we maintain consistency in their routines. I am not able to offer boarding in my accommodation due to insurance

I like to know a general plan of what a typical day looks like for your pet. What time they eat, any specific ways that they have their food served. Their favourite toy. If they need medication, their vets contact details, and if there are any particular behaviours that your pet has for example if they are reactive to dogs or children.
A typical day
I want to provide your pet with the comfort and security of being at home, along with the familiarity of their usual routine. I find that pets tend to settle much faster with a sitter when familiarity of environment and structure is maintained. Aside from this, I am passionate about working with your pets providing plenty of space for mental enrichment. I have experience of working with anxious animals and working through things like a severe fear of people. I use a systematic desensitisation approach where we will have gradual gentle exposure staying within the pets window of tolerance. You will see that animal psychology is something that I am passionate about and will use this knowledge of psychology to inform me on best approaches. I love to be hands on with animals in regard to playing and cuddling as much as they want, and I like to join them in their world for example exploring every inch of the garden together or visiting new places for new smells and sights.

Prices may vary based on client needs and level of care. Walks and drop-ins offered at a standard hourly rate. I have experience of working with animals of all shapes and sizes, from cows and horses to axolotls and guinea pigs. I enjoy getting to know their unique personalities. I have experience with nervous or reactive pets and use desensitisation and counter-conditioning with positive re-enforcement to help them feel calm, confident and accomplished. I’m especially passionate about enrichment, using games, puzzles, and activities that engage an animal’s natural skills. Enrichment not only keeps pets mentally and physically stimulated, but also strengthens the bond between pet and carer and helps prevent boredom related or problem behaviours. I aim to provide care that keeps animals happy, confident, and thriving while you’re away. I am extremely passionate about animals and will do everything I can to make their experience the best it can be. From researching new innovative ideas to combatting their anxieties, or new fun games to play to battle boredom and creating training plans to giving the best cuddles! 🐾💛 A Little Piece of My Heart — And Why Animals Mean Everything to Me I’ve always felt a deep connection with animals, as if they understand me in ways that words often can’t. Maria did a fantastic job of looking after our two grey hounds. Kept us update throughout our holiday with pictures and videos of what she had done each day.
