“Jamie is a superstar! Moon is quite the shy boy when it comes to humans entering his premises so I can spot their special bond from miles away <3. It is not the first time that Jamie is taking care of my favorite little monkey and he's always rocking it, sending lots of pictures and giving lots of cuddles. I cannot recommend him enough :D”

About: I grew up basically on a small holding with hundreds of animals, my childhood home was like a mini zoo, always around dogs/cats and various exotic species. My family bred various breeds of dogs and ive always loved cats, dogs and dog training. My family always had 4/5 minimum at one time so home doesn't feel like home without lots of wagging tails around. Since leaving college and university my career has been within the animal sector. Vet nurse Farm manager Zookeeper Animal educator / educational presenter Reptile keeper Pet therapy dogs Animal therapy provider Kennel worker These are the job titles ive held over the years. I have a National Diploma in Animal Management and care I have a Degree in Animal Care & Zoology I am level 3 dog and cat first aid trained and have frequent refresher courses. I am a DEFRA trained and qualified microchip implanter so I see many dogs and cats from all walks of like and temperaments. I have completed various courses for feline behaviour and also dog behaviour & training. I work from home, animals are my life and my household revolves around my pets. Every day all my dogs and cats are fed, cleaned cuddled and cared for. I'm with them throughout the day for extra play, training and of course lots of walks and cuddles. My life revolves around my pets and it's always been this way. I will always provide the same love, care and attention to any pet coming over for their short / long stay. They'd be treated as part of our pack, as part of our family whilst here ❤️ I have plenty of spaces for additional dogs, either to be with my own dogs OR to be separated if wanted/needed. I have a dog living room , a cat living room and a living room spare for anyone who likes to be alone and wants peace and quiet can relax. I have many spaces for cats as my cats have the entire house to roam free but I also have an animal room attached to the house that turns into a cattery or kennels if any owner prefers their cat/dog to be separated from the pets I have. My animal room is spacious and kept clean. It has many beds and hideouts as well as a TV and sofa bed so any cat or dog will feel at home. Its easy for me to go in there and chill out watching TV giving cuddles creating that homely experience for any pet staying. I have a garden that's fully secured with fencing and 2 garden gate system for extra security. The property is covered with cameras and has 24/7 CCTV surveillance. I like to always give owner updates and keep in contact, providing videos and photos of how their family member is getting on for reassurance.

I have recently graduated from university so I have plenty of free time on weekdays as well as weekends. I'm also an early riser so am happy to be available from 7am-evening. I cannot care for pets in my own home, but am more happy to travel and pet-sit in other homes as well as going out for walks.

“Loki and Midnight were in great hands with Julie; she even left them a little present at the end of her visits. Julie came to meet the cats before we went away and I was able to show her where everything was. Would highly recommend and wil definitely be using her again; it was far less stressful for the cats to have someone look after them in their own home and Julie was fantastic and even gave me updates while I was away.”

About: While I don’t currently have my own dog, I have in the past had two dogs and I would love to again in the future. In the meantime I really want to spend more time around dogs as I absolutely love them. I’m an avid walker so I think that would go hand in hand with taking your playful pets out and about whether that’s to a local park or dog field. I’m also happy to do overnight stays for pet sitting. I’m a shift worker so tend to have a lot of evenings/nights free and I know my rota for the rest of the year so I’m able to work around that to offer the best to your pets. I’m happy to do drop ins/walking services even on my days that I work either before or after I finish and on my days off I’m available all day. I am able to care for pets in your own home by offering a safe environment where pets will be comfortable and have all their needs met. For walking I would prefer to keep pets on a leash so if this isn’t suitable for your dog please let me know.

Cat owners share their Rover experiences - Doncaster
Ellen has been amazing with my little monkey, Moon takes some time to warm up to new humans but on the video/photo updates she sent me throughout the visits it was clear that they bounded very well. She followed the instructions for feeding and all, very good communication and updates. I was also very happy to come back to a very happy fluff baby and cannot recommend Ellie enough :)

I had such a great experience with Jamie. He was reliable, caring and clearly made sure my cats were well looked after while I was away. They kept me updated and made me feel reassured that everything was okay. I came home to happy, settled cats, which is exactly what you want when leaving your pets with someone. I’d definitely recommend and would happily use him again!

Milly was amazing, from the start she went out of her way to do a meet and greet. She was always on time, very attentive with Garry and very thorough with her report card. She made sure to follow all requests I made to ensure Garry was the happiest he could be!! Milly is amazing, cannot wait to book her again :)

Having Lisa look after my kitty certainly made all the difference! Usually on returning home, kitty's at the door mewing lots & circling my feet, or off sulking somewhere annoyed that I left & turns her nose when she sees me. On my return, my kitty cat was calm, happy, and immediately cuddly. A little too confident even.... She tried her luck to get out the door when I arrived at 1am! Thank you so much for lookin after my furbaby and for the update pictures! I felt much better knowing she was well looked after 😸

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
