About: As a pet owner, it is important to provide your pet with proper care and attention. This includes ensuring they have a balanced diet, regular exercise, and access to fresh water. Grooming, including brushing and bathing, helps keep them clean and healthy. Providing mental stimulation through playtime and toys is important for their well-being. Lastly, showing them love, care, and affection contributes to their happiness. I will tailor their care based on their specific needs. I'm currently working part-time, so I'll have plenty of time to play with your pups! I'm available for boarding on weekends, and weekdays talk to me then we can arrange time. As a pet care provider, safety, trust and the environment are my top priorities when caring for animals in both my home and the pet owner's home. Here are some key aspects of how I look after their well-being: 1. Security: I create a safe environment by pet-proofing my home or a designated area in a pet owner's home. This includes removing any hazardous items, securing electrical wiring, and ensuring there are no harmful plants or substances within reach. 2. Trust: Building trust with animals is essential. I take the time to get to know them, understand their needs and provide them with a calm and nurturing environment. I use positive reinforcement techniques to reinforce good behavior and build a strong bond with it. 3. Environment: I strive to provide animals with a comfortable and stimulating environment. This includes providing comfortable bedding, access to clean water and a designated place to eat. I also provide toys and engage in interactive play to keep them mentally and physically stimulated. 4. Regular exercise: I provide animals with regular exercise tailored to their specific needs. This may include walking, playing and other physical activities to keep them active and healthy. 5. Feeding: I follow the pet owner's instructions regarding feeding schedule and dietary requirements. I ensure that meals are delivered on time and that food is properly stored to maintain freshness and prevent contamination. 6. Hygiene: I maintain good hygiene by regularly cleaning and sanitizing the pet's living area, including its bedding, litter box or other designated area. I also follow personal hygiene rules, e.g. washing my hands before and after contact with animals. 7. Communication: I maintain open and transparent communication with the pet owner. This includes providing updates on your pet's welfare, any concerns or observations, and promptly responding to any questions or requests you may have. Overall, my goal is to provide animals with a safe, comfortable and loving environment, whether that is my home or the pet owner's home. Their well-being is my priority and I make every effort to ensure that they are happy and healthy while in my care.

Eleanor is an amazing pet sitter. She is so kind-hearted, professional and caring. Our 2 young cats warmed up to Eleanor instantly and were really happy in her care. All their needs were met and our home was well taken care of. We received regular updates with many adorable pics and felt very assured and grateful throughout the whole experience. I highly recommend Eleanor for any of your pet sitting needs, she is so caring, trustworthy and knowledgeable.

About: I’ve looked after cats with all different needs, such as needing medication or just needing extra affection. I also have experience of looking after senior cats as well as young cats. I work early shifts from Wednesday to Saturday, so can stop by early morning as well as in the afternoons and evenings. I drive so am able to travel to care for pets. I have an advanced DBS certificate. I am dependable and make sure to closely check and attend to each pet to make sure they are getting on okay when their owners are away. I can send daily photos and videos to owners missing their pets.

Charlotte was fantastic with our cat, Maggie - she gave us regular updates & really put our minds at ease, she can be quite a nervous cat but seemed really settled when we arrived home, like we’d never been away! Thank you Charlotte! Xx

I arranged for Bethany to drop in for an hour and walk our Patterdale Terrier when we were out for the day. She came to meet him a couple of days before and asked about his routine etc. She came on the day as arranged and walked him and fed him. She sent updates and asked questions regarding his food, and let us know he was all good. Thank you - very happy x

About: I have cared for pets for all my life, ranging from hamsters to horses and everything in-between. I offer dog walks, cat and small pets care. I also do overnights in owners homes. With having pets already, I know how important constant routine is, so their needs come before my own, whilst having the freedom to be their fun, fluffy selves! I will follow the plan that we come up with together at the meet and greet, the maximum time left between visits is 4 - 4 1/3 hours, with a half an hour visit or walk in the day. I will stick to their feeding plans, and we will enjoy lots of cuddles and play time.

About: Hi, I'm Luisa! I'm originally from Spain and have been living in England for almost 11 years. Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember, I grew up surrounded by dogs, pigeons, parrots and more, and I currently share my home with a 10 year old cat. EXPERIENCE: I have taken care of animals from friends and family, mostly dogs, cats and rodents, but I have accrued 3 years of experience as a professional dog sitter. After stepping away for a while to focus on other jobs as a chef, sales assistant and marketing executive, I'm now back to pet sitting while I study towards a career in Psychology (for humans), although, my interest in behaviour and wellbeing also extends to animals. DOGS: I'm a dedicated self-learner. During the time I wasn't actively working as a sitter, I kept studying canine behaviour, following professionals who stay up to date with current research and apply it through positive reinforcement, a training and care approach based on rewarding good behaviour rather than punishing unwanted behaviour. I'm not a dog trainer, but this knowledge allows me to understand much better dogs' body language. OTHER INFO: - My fees can vary depending on your needs as well, costs are lower if you need more frequent visits and 60-minutes walks. Get in touch for a personalised quote! - While I'm looking after your pet, I'm also happy to keep an eye on your home. This includes watering your indoor and outdoor plants, collecting your post, and alternating lights or curtains so your home looks lived-in while you're away. All at no extra cost, just as part of the service. - I can administer basic medication, both topical and oral. - I'm able to reply to messages quickly. - Please note: I have a cat who isn't used to being around dogs, which is why I'm not able to offer overnight boarding at my own home. However, I do offer house sitting at your home. TRUST & SAFETY: Free Meet & Greet: - Before your first booking, I offer a free introductory visit so your pet (and you!) can meet me, ask any questions, and feel comfortable before we start. No pressure, no obligation. - Photos & videos included in every service, so you can see how your pet is doing. Key safety: Keys are stored securely and privately, never labelled with your name or address. I'm happy to use a key safe or smart lock if you have one, and keys are returned or securely stored between visits, whichever you prefer. Emergency protocol: If your pet needs veterinary attention and I can't reach you, I will take them to the vet myself. Insurance & DBS check: I'm currently in the process of arranging public liability insurance and a Basic DBS (background) check, both of which I consider essential for the trust this job requires. I'll update my profile as soon as these are in place. I currently work from home starting up my online business and also studying for a Psychology career, so I have a flexible schedule and can usually reply and arrange visits quickly. I'm available for drop-ins, walks, and house sitting throughout the week, including weekends, just let me know your routine and I'll adapt to it. Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter trays. Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
