Dom looked after my two dogs for 2 nights/3 days. I did a sheet with useful details on and also gave him a tour around the house so he understood where everything was. The dogs were walked and enjoyed the company of Dom and on my return the house was as I left it. I would definately use Dom again and would recommend them as professional sitters.

Eleanor took great care of our dog Phoebe. She followed any instructions that we left and we had no issues whatsoever. Phoebe seemed super happy with her from meet and greet, which told us right away that she is the right person to trust. Phoebe was walked and cared! Absolutely amazing!

Julie was amazing, she was so good with Alfie taking him on long walks and sending us updates while we were away. Alfie takes a while to warm up to people but he was so comfortable around her. We definitely would recommend, she was great and such a lovely person 😊

About: As a pet owner, it is important to provide your pet with proper care and attention. This includes ensuring they have a balanced diet, regular exercise, and access to fresh water. Grooming, including brushing and bathing, helps keep them clean and healthy. Providing mental stimulation through playtime and toys is important for their well-being. Lastly, showing them love, care, and affection contributes to their happiness. I will tailor their care based on their specific needs. I'm currently working part-time, so I'll have plenty of time to play with your pups! I'm available for boarding on weekends, and weekdays talk to me then we can arrange time. As a pet care provider, safety, trust and the environment are my top priorities when caring for animals in both my home and the pet owner's home. Here are some key aspects of how I look after their well-being: 1. Security: I create a safe environment by pet-proofing my home or a designated area in a pet owner's home. This includes removing any hazardous items, securing electrical wiring, and ensuring there are no harmful plants or substances within reach. 2. Trust: Building trust with animals is essential. I take the time to get to know them, understand their needs and provide them with a calm and nurturing environment. I use positive reinforcement techniques to reinforce good behavior and build a strong bond with it. 3. Environment: I strive to provide animals with a comfortable and stimulating environment. This includes providing comfortable bedding, access to clean water and a designated place to eat. I also provide toys and engage in interactive play to keep them mentally and physically stimulated. 4. Regular exercise: I provide animals with regular exercise tailored to their specific needs. This may include walking, playing and other physical activities to keep them active and healthy. 5. Feeding: I follow the pet owner's instructions regarding feeding schedule and dietary requirements. I ensure that meals are delivered on time and that food is properly stored to maintain freshness and prevent contamination. 6. Hygiene: I maintain good hygiene by regularly cleaning and sanitizing the pet's living area, including its bedding, litter box or other designated area. I also follow personal hygiene rules, e.g. washing my hands before and after contact with animals. 7. Communication: I maintain open and transparent communication with the pet owner. This includes providing updates on your pet's welfare, any concerns or observations, and promptly responding to any questions or requests you may have. Overall, my goal is to provide animals with a safe, comfortable and loving environment, whether that is my home or the pet owner's home. Their well-being is my priority and I make every effort to ensure that they are happy and healthy while in my care.

About: I have cared for pets for all my life, ranging from hamsters to horses and everything in-between. I offer dog walks, cat and small pets care. I also do overnights in owners homes. With having pets already, I know how important constant routine is, so their needs come before my own, whilst having the freedom to be their fun, fluffy selves! I have a fenced back garden, we pet proof everything and they have free reign of the house, but still have boundaries so we make a fun, but fair environment

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life. I grew up with dogs and a cat and have many years of experience caring for pets in a home environment. I cared for my family dog until he passed away at an old age, and I also owned and cared for my own dog, who sadly passed away too. These experiences taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and adapting to each pet’s individual needs. I know how much pets mean to their families, and I aim to provide the same level of care and attention that I’d want for my own. I am experienced in training a dog. I work from home Monday to Friday 9-5 and have every other Friday off of work available to care for pets as well as at weekends. I am free most evenings also. I have experience with crate training from having my own dogs. I personally have a secure garden. I value the importance of keeping a pets routine and helping them to feel comfortable. I am happy to provide updates and photos to owners so you know your pets are happy

Charlotte has been amazing, she kept us up to date with photos and msgs of Bailey. This is the first time we have left him with someone other than family, he was fussy and happy when Charlotte arrived and was the same when we came home. We would definitely use Charlotte again!! About: NHS Chemotherapy Nurse | 🌿 Cinnamon Trust Volunteer | Vegetarian🌱 | 🩵 Lifelong Animal Lover * 🐾 Experienced with rescue, elderly, reactive & medical-needs pets | 🏡 Trusted house & pet sitter with references. Hello, I’m Sammie, it’s lovely to meet you and thank you for taking the time to visit my profile! If you ask the people who know me best what I’m most passionate about, the answer will always be the same…animals! For as long as I can remember, animals have been my greatest source of happiness, comfort and purpose. To me, they are family, and I believe every pet deserves to be treated with love, patience, kindness and respect. As an NHS Chemotherapy Nurse, my career is built on compassion, trust and responsibility. Caring for people during some of the most difficult times in their lives has taught me patience, empathy, excellent communication and how to remain calm under pressure—the same qualities I bring to every pet I care for. My experience🐾 I have been around animals all my life. I currently have four indoor rescue cats, all raised from kittens, and two dogs with very different needs. One of my dogs is elderly with arthritis, so I’m experienced in administering medication, adapting walks and monitoring his comfort. My other dog is reactive and anxious, giving me first-hand experience of building trust with nervous dogs through patience, routine and understanding. I’ve also cared for smaller pets including guinea pigs, hamsters and gerbils, so I’m comfortable looking after a variety of small animals too. As the owner of four indoor cats, I’m especially mindful of keeping doors, windows and escape routes secure, understanding the extra vigilance indoor cats require. Trusted Pet & House Sitter🏡 I’m incredibly proud and grateful that colleagues regularly ask me to care for both their pets and their homes because they know they’ll be safe, loved and well looked after. On multiple occasions, I have pet and house sat for my colleague’s Bullmastiff, Tyga. I thoroughly enjoyed caring for him, maintaining his established routine, providing plenty of affection, exercise and companionship, and ensuring he felt safe and settled while his owner was away. By the end of his sits, Tyga had formed a wonderful bond with me and had settled beautifully with me in his home, and my colleague fed back that she was delighted with the care I provided for both Tyga and her home. I’m also booked to care for another colleague’s two rescue cats later this year, and references are available. Tailored Care for Every Pet🦮 Every pet is different, and I believe their care should reflect that. I never expect an animal to adapt to me, I adapt to them and their needs. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, enrichment and adventure or simply prefers quiet companionship and affection, I’ll adapt my care to suit their individual personality and routine. Before every booking, I’ll take time to understand their habits, medical needs, favourite activities and anything else that helps them feel safe, relaxed and happy. 💊 Experienced and comfortable with the following: ✔ Medication administration ✔ Elderly pets ✔ Puppies & kittens ✔ Rescue animals ✔ Reactive & anxious dogs ✔ Multiple pets & different routines ✔ Monitoring health and wellbeing As a nurse, I’m naturally observant and calm in unexpected situations. I’ll also familiarise myself with your preferred veterinary practice before every booking. 🌿 Cinnamon Trust Volunteer Alongside my nursing career, I’m proud to volunteer with The Cinnamon Trust, supporting elderly and terminally ill people by helping care for the pets they love. It’s a role that reflects my passion for animal welfare and helping others. As a hobby, I also have a passion for pet and animal photography. Whilst I am no professional, it’s something I thoroughly enjoy, and i adore capturing little moments that make every animal unique. If your pet is willing to pose (or not!), you are welcome to receive a few professional-looking photos alongside your regular updates! 📸🐾 Trusted home care🧺 My aim is to fit seamlessly into your home without disrupting it, treating it with exactly the same care and respect that I would my own. I show the same amount of care and respect to people’s homes as I do to their pets. You can be sure that when you arrive back from your holiday or time away, you will be greeted with happy pets and a home that has been looked after and maintained to an excellent standard. I understand that inviting someone into your home is a huge act of trust. I’m a non-smoker, non-drinker, DBS checked, extremely clean, tidy and respectful. I’m also happy to water plants, collect post, put bins out and help with general household upkeep. Keeping You Updated📞📷 I’ll happily send regular photos, videos and updates throughout your time away, giving you complete peace of mind that your pets are happy, settled and receiving lots of love and attention. Leaving your pets with someone else is a big decision, and it’s a responsibility I never take lightly. I’ll care for your pets with the same love, patience and dedication that I give my own, so you can enjoy your time away knowing they’ll be safe, happy and genuinely cared for. I’m an NHS chemotherapy nurse working part-time, primarily on Mondays and Fridays from 8am to 6pm. Working part-time gives me the flexibility to provide reliable, attentive and personalised care around my shifts. I carefully manage my diary and only accept bookings when I know I can dedicate the time, care and attention your pet deserves. When caring for your pet, their routine becomes my priority. Whether that’s early morning walks, administering medication, feeding schedules, enrichment, playtime or simply providing companionship, I understand how important consistency is for animals and will always do my best to maintain their normal routine, helping them feel settled, happy and secure while you’re away. As every pet has different needs, I’m always happy to discuss my availability before confirming a booking. While I primarily work Mondays and Fridays, if your pet is comfortable being left for a few hours during those times, I’m more than happy to discuss this on an individual basis. Equally, if your pet requires more constant companionship, we can explore dates that better suit both their needs and my availability. Transparency is very important to me, and I’ll always be honest about my schedule so you can make the best decision for your pet with complete confidence. Weekends, bank holidays and school holidays are also open and free for me to book! Your pet’s safety, happiness and wellbeing will always be my number one priority. Before every booking, I’m happy to arrange a meet-and-greet so I can get to know you, your pets, their routines and any specific needs or preferences. As an NHS nurse, I’m DBS checked, organised, calm under pressure and experienced in recognising subtle changes in wellbeing. I’m comfortable caring for elderly pets, rescue animals, nervous or reactive dogs, administering medication and following detailed care instructions. I’ll familiarise myself with your preferred veterinary practice and emergency contacts before every stay, so I can respond quickly should anything unexpected arise. I treat every home with the utmost respect, leaving it exactly as I found it, and I’m happy to water plants, collect post, put bins out and help with general household upkeep while you’re away. My aim is to provide complete peace of mind, knowing both your beloved pets and your home are in safe, caring and trustworthy hands. Having four indoor rescue cats of my own, I’m acutely aware of the importance of keeping indoor cats safe within their home environment. I’m extremely conscientious about ensuring doors, windows and any other potential escape points are secure before entering or leaving the property. I understand that this level of vigilance provides invaluable peace of mind for owners, and it’s a standard of care I naturally practise every day with my own pets.

Courtney was great with Teddy. She stayed with him pretty much the whole time, which really helped him feel settled and safe. She also kept in touch while we were away, sending pics and updates which was really reassuring. We came home to a tidy house, Teddy fed and happy, and she’d even done a wash and taken the bins out which was really thoughtful. She was respectful of the house, asked if she wasn’t sure about anything, and just had a really good attitude. We didn’t have to worry about a thing. Would definitely recommend. :)

Rosie was amazing, easy to speak to. Can have a laugh and a smile when you meet and greet, She was so patient and kind with my Oakley, he is a large breed and it often puts people off, however Rosie was nothing like that she adored him! (Big dog but wouldn’t hurt a fly lol) Rosie took in everything I had said and was really effective. I recommend Rosie for anyone who needs support with their pets when away. She’s reliable and understanding. No better person to have with your dog. I’m so pleased and will definitely be a repeat customer. Again Thank you so much for your help and time. 💗💗💗

We were very pleased with our dog sitter Jemima. The dogs loved here. Would highly recommend her and using the agency again which provided us with the security and support we wanted for ourselves and dogs whilst we had to leave them in the care of another person knowing that our dogs had never been left before other than within our own family. Very pleased and happy.

FAQs for House Sitting - North Lincolnshire

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in North Lincolnshire on Rover is £34.5 per night (as of June 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of June 2026, there are 407 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across North Lincolnshire. Enter your postcode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred North Lincolnshire walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in North Lincolnshire choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
