“We felt very at ease leaving our three dogs with Ross, they were well looked after and we had regular updates, would highly recommend and use again, our dogs are not easy so to find someone they settle with was a godsend!”

“Nicole arrived spot on time and Barney was so excited to see her. It felt great (I had been very worried leaving him with anybody) knowing that he was happy with her taking care of him. She provided feedback on their time together. We will definitely be booking again.”

“We can highly recommend Chloe for looking after your pets. Our three cats have very different characters, and Chloe got on well with all of them. We will definitely be booking Chloe again.”

“Wendy came to look after our Rottie and we were very happy with the outcome. He is not the easiest to look after but she was great with him and made sure he was looked after & had lots of attention while we were away. It was lovely to have a break without having to worry that he was okay. We will definitely be asking Wendy to look after him again, & we're looking forward to more worry free breaks.”

About: Ive taken care of dogs since I was little, I've had family and friends ask me to pet sit their babies for them! I also used to have a dogue de boardoux which was the love of my life. And I would love to give my love and care to other doggos! I have a lot of spare time during the week so I can look after your pets at any time in the week for walks or to house sit. I have a lot of experience with dogs so i know what im doing most the time. I will make sure they are fed at the times they are supposed to be, and I will let them out in the garden every hour or so. Or whenever they show me they want to go outside.

“Megan took care of Bramble last minute as it was way too hot for her to come camping with me. She took wonderful care of her and kept me updated with messages and videos. Bramble was so well cared for. Highly recommend”
“Lucy was fantastic. She sent us plenty of updates and pictures of the dogs, and kept us well informed of everything. We met before hand and had a lovely welcoming nature that the dogs absolutely loved We would 100% recommend Lucy as a sitter!”

“Maggie was so lovely - she came to meet the dogs before looking after them! Great communication and the doggies loved her!! Thank you so much for taking care of them xx”

“Thankyou so much for looking after both our cat and dog at our house. Also thankyou for keeping us updated and sending us photos of what they were up to. We hope you enjoyed it and we recommend Carol 1000%!”

“Jules is absolutely amazing! She always keeps me updated, gives Buddy lots of attention, and ensured he was happy, comfortable, and well cared for the entire time. It’s clear how much she genuinely loves dogs. Buddy came home relaxed, happy, and clearly adored his time with her. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jules to anyone looking for a trustworthy, kind, and reliable dog sitter. She’s fantastic!”

“Charlotte was fantastic. She arranged a time to meet our dog before she looked after him and he immediately took to her. This made the actual day so much smoother. She looked after him during the day whilst we were at a funeral where she took him for a walk and kept him company. She was so friendly and prompt but flexible with our timings. We are hugely appreciative for her services and we would definitely recommend her to others! Would definitely use her again!”

“We were very pleased with our dog sitter Jemima. The dogs loved here. Would highly recommend her and using the agency again which provided us with the security and support we wanted for ourselves and dogs whilst we had to leave them in the care of another person knowing that our dogs had never been left before other than within our own family. Very pleased and happy.”

About: I have cared for pets for all my life, ranging from hamsters to horses and everything in-between. I offer dog walks, cat and small pets care. I also do overnights in owners homes. With having pets already, I know how important constant routine is, so their needs come before my own, whilst having the freedom to be their fun, fluffy selves! I will follow the plan that we come up with together at the meet and greet, the maximum time left between visits is 4 - 4 1/3 hours, with a half an hour visit or walk in the day. I will stick to their feeding plans, and we will enjoy lots of cuddles and play time.
“We are so happy that we found Jude to look after our dogs whilst we were on holiday. They are both quite anxious but she was calm and took time to get to know them. She was happy to stay at our house to cause less disruption for our dogs and she was so tidy- you wouldn't have known she had been there. When we returned the dogs were happy and content. We will definitely ask Jude to look after them again and would recommend her.”

“Courtney was great with Teddy. She stayed with him pretty much the whole time, which really helped him feel settled and safe. She also kept in touch while we were away, sending pics and updates which was really reassuring. We came home to a tidy house, Teddy fed and happy, and she’d even done a wash and taken the bins out which was really thoughtful. She was respectful of the house, asked if she wasn’t sure about anything, and just had a really good attitude. We didn’t have to worry about a thing. Would definitely recommend. :)”

Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in North East Lincolnshire choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
