About: I have five years of experience caring for a wide range of dogs, offering services including walks, day sitting, and overnight stays. Through this, I’ve become confident handling different breeds, sizes, and personalities, always making sure each dog feels safe, happy, and well cared for. As a dog owner of two gorgeous labradors myself, I understand how important a trustworthy sitter is, and I always treat every dog as if they were part of my own family. 🐾 Fully insured and DBS checked 🤍 As a full time biomedical science student, I have a flexible schedule that fits around my studies. Being away from my own dogs back home, I especially value the companionship, and recognise the importance of caring for your dog as I would my own 💕 When caring for dogs in their own home, I pay close attention to instructions, in order to maintain your dogs routine to achieve a stress free experience for both you and your pet. On walks, I prioritise safety, while making sure your dog gets the exercise and mental stimulation that they require, whether that is a run around a field, or a gentle stroll around a park. This tailoring means that your pets needs are listened to, so they feel happy and settled while you are away ☺️

Jules is absolutely amazing! She always keeps me updated, gives Buddy lots of attention, and ensured he was happy, comfortable, and well cared for the entire time. It’s clear how much she genuinely loves dogs. Buddy came home relaxed, happy, and clearly adored his time with her. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jules to anyone looking for a trustworthy, kind, and reliable dog sitter. She’s fantastic!

About: I grew up with a cocker spaniel and in my twenties owned two beagles so have no problem with hyper active dogs. Over the last few years I have looked after a bijon frise, a daschund, two labradoodles, a golden retriever, a cockapoo and a cavapoo. Some of these have been at their own home and some at my own home. I'm happy for either circumstance as it is wherever the pet or owner would like the pet to be. I work full time so Mondays and Fridays will be me working from home or the clients home but free all weekend. I can do other days upon negotiation. Sundays I will be busy for 2-3 hours in the morning but can still do the morning feed and walks. I do not have a garden but do have a large field 100 yards from the house. I will always keep the pet on the lead. I try to keep the routine laid out by the owner where possible i.e. nap times, feeding, walking, how they sleep at night etc

About: Hi there! I’m a lifelong animal lover who truly understands that pets aren’t just animals—they’re cherished family members. Whether you need help while you’re at work or away on a trip, I am here to provide your best friend with the same love, attention, and security they receive at home. My journey with animals has taken me across the globe. Having lived and pet-sat in both Australia and the UK, I’ve had the joy of caring for a wide variety of breeds and temperaments. From high-energy pups to gentle seniors, I am comfortable and confident working with dogs of all shapes and sizes. My background in professional babysitting has also helped me develop a high level of patience, responsibility, and an intuitive approach to care. I know how to stick to routines, manage dietary needs, and—most importantly—provide plenty of companionship and play. I currently share my home with a beautiful, energetic Dalmatian, so I am very well-versed in the needs of active breeds. Whether your pet is a tiny companion or a giant gentle soul, I have the experience to keep them safe, happy, and exercised. I pride myself on being communicative and detail-oriented. You can relax knowing your home and your pet are in dedicated, trustworthy hands. I would love to meet your furry family member and provide them with the care and companionship they deserve. Feel free to reach out with any questions! Because I work as a supply teacher, I am currently heading into a seven-week summer break, which means my schedule is entirely open. I am able to commit fully to your dog’s care, providing dedicated attention day and night. Aside from the occasional, short errand—typically just a couple of hours at most—I will be right there with your pup. Whether your companion needs an extra-long morning walk, active play throughout the day, or just some quiet companionship on the sofa in the evening, I am physically and mentally present to provide it. During our outings, I practice proactive awareness, keeping a firm grip on the leash and maintaining a safe distance from other dogs or traffic to prevent any unexpected incidents. My goal is to be a calm, observant, and highly attentive presence, constantly monitoring your dog’s body language and comfort levels to ensure that your home remains a peaceful, stress-free, and safe sanctuary while you are away. When caring for your pet in your own home, my top priority is maintaining a secure and familiar environment where they feel completely at ease. I begin by conducting a thorough "safety sweep" to ensure all entry points are secure and any potential hazards—such as stray cords, household plants, or cleaning supplies—are safely tucked away. I strictly adhere to your established house rules and routine, ensuring that feeding times, walk schedules, and any medication requirements are handled with consistency. During outings, I practice proactive awareness, keeping a firm grip on the leash and maintaining a safe distance from other dogs or traffic to prevent any unexpected incidents. My goal is to be a calm, observant presence, keeping a close eye on your dog’s body language and comfort levels so that your home remains a peaceful, stress-free sanctuary while you are away.

About: Fully insured! I’ve always had a passion for caring for animals, having grown up with dogs and cats. Their companionship means the world to me. Even when I haven’t had pets of my own, I’ve happily helped family and friends by walking their dogs, feeding their pets, and providing loving attention. I’m excited to offer dog walking, drop-in visits and house sitting services for both dogs and cats. These roles not only allow me to provide reliable, loving care for your pets but also help me gain valuable experience as I pursue my goal of becoming a dog trainer. I’m committed to ensuring your pets feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. Since I work full-time from home, I have the flexibility to fit pet care into my day easily. This allows me to combine my love of animals with regular walks and visits, making it a natural and enjoyable part of my routine. I’m adaptable with timing and can accommodate lunchtimes, evenings, or other hours that work best for you and your pet. When caring for pets in their owners homes, my top priority is to make sure they’re comfortable, happy, and cared for just as they would be if you were there. I pay close attention to their individual needs—whether that’s following feeding schedules, giving them plenty of attention and exercise, or simply providing a calm and loving environment. I believe every pet deserves the best care possible, and I’m committed to meeting all their needs while you’re away.

About: I believe pets aren’t just animals - they’re family. That’s why everything I do is built around trust, compassion, and genuinely personalised care. I’m an animal lover with a CPD Accredited Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming, Pet Sitting & Dog Walking, offering professional dog walking, pet sitting, puppy and kitten care, and overnight house sitting tailored to suit each pet’s unique personality, age, and individual needs. I have hands-on experience caring for young puppies, senior dogs, and pregnant dogs, and I understand the extra patience, attention, and gentle handling they require. From helping puppies build routines and supporting toilet training, to providing slower-paced, comfort-focused care for older dogs, and calm, attentive support for pregnant dogs, I treat every stage of a pet’s life with the care and respect it deserves. No two pets are the same, which is why I always take the time to learn their routines, preferences, and any special requirements. I am fully insured and DBS checked, giving you complete peace of mind whether you’re at work, away for the day, or enjoying a holiday. Your pet’s safety, wellbeing, and happiness always come first. Whether your dog needs an energy-burning walk, your senior pet needs gentle companionship, or your puppy or pregnant dog requires extra reassurance and care at home, I offer reliable, loving support you can trust. With regular updates, photos, and open communication, you’ll always know your furry family members are in safe, caring hands. Because for me, it’s not just pet care - it’s care with heart 🐶🐱💛 I work as a full-time dog walker and pet sitter, offering flexible availability from Monday to Sunday, because I understand that your furry friends need love, care, and routine every day of the week - not just weekdays. Dog walks and drop-in visits are available between 7:30am and 7:30pm, allowing for both early starts and evening care to fit around your schedule. House sitting services are arranged on an individual basis and will be discussed in detail with each owner to ensure the best possible care for your home and pets. My aim is to provide reliable, consistent, and stress-free care that works for both you and your pets 🐾💛 The safety, comfort, and wellbeing of every pet in my care is always my top priority. All services are provided in the pet owner’s home or out on walks, allowing pets to remain in familiar surroundings and continue with their normal routines. Before any service begins, I take the time to get to know each pet through an initial meeting and a detailed pet information form. This helps me understand feeding routines, exercise needs, medical requirements, behavioural traits, and any special care instructions. I have experience caring for puppies, senior dogs, and pregnant dogs, and I adapt my care to suit each pet’s individual needs - from gentle handling and slower walks to increased supervision and reassurance. When caring for pets in the owner’s home, I treat both the pets and the property with the utmost respect. I carefully follow all instructions provided, maintain home security, and aim to keep routines as consistent as possible to reduce stress and anxiety. During house sitting services, pets receive companionship, attention, and calm, reliable care while their home remains secure. For dog walking services, I assess each dog individually, use secure leads and harnesses, choose safe walking routes, and closely monitor behaviour at all times. Walks are tailored to each dog’s age, health, and energy levels to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. I am fully insured and DBS checked, and I maintain clear, open communication with owners throughout every service, including regular updates and photos. My aim is to build long-term trust with both pets and their owners by providing reliable, compassionate care in a safe and familiar environment.

About: My family have always had dogs since I was very young however my first dog being my responsibility was when I was 13. I was gifted a German spitz who was with me over 17 years. With lots of love, cuddles and time put into his care, he managed to live with several illnesses including only having one eye and dementia. All dogs are amazing but older souls are so loyal and loving, I have good experience with giving medication and understanding the needs of seniors. As well as taking care of my own dogs, I have also been sitter and walker for my families and family friends dogs. I have experience both with home from home boarding and staying in families homes looking after their pets whilst they are aware on holiday. We have had all of our dogs from puppies therefore quite familiar with cheeky pups to calm all the way through a dogs life cycle. I believe what makes a good sitter is getting to know the client, having a good relationship with the owners is a great foundation but becoming friends with the dog, making sure they are comfortable and content is the main goal. Dogs are very loyal and know good from bad so by reading their body language and responses is the best way for your pups to be happy making a comfortable experience for all parties. I am available for walking and house sits weekdays, weekends and bank holidays. Both myself and partner are dog lovers so there will always be cuddles and play time on offer. Walking and house sitting are my main jobs so there is plenty of time for cuddles and walks between clients Sitting in your own home allows your dog to stick to their routine in an environment they are familiar with. Your home will be respected at all times and pet(s) treated with the upmost care and love.

I would very much recommend Yuchong for taking care of my dogs whilst I was away and I would definitely ask her again. She was so polite and courteous and obviously loved dogs as mine were given lots of love and cuddles. I had written down my daily routine regarding my dogs which she said was very useful and good for the dogs keeping to their normal life even though I was away. The house was left clean and tidy.

About: AVAILABLE MON-THURS i have been in the presence of animals since i was 4 years old. i have qualifications in animal management and can handle/deal with a lot of animals with a lot of needs. i can additionally identify mental and physical illness, proscribe any medications and train animals fast and effectively (even cats 🤣) i volunteered at my local farm for 2 years for my college placement and now studying at the university of hull to become a zoologist at university. i currently have 4 cats at my home in west yorkshire. i lost my 16 year old kitty in march, so i don’t have a set schedule anymore. although, my pet care varies as me and my parents love to feed the strays that come often :) care of pets will either be in the park or at the owners home, (or my home for cat care)… we have stray cats that visit and i wouldn’t want to scare them away with a dog ❤️ hope you understand!

On the day we were due to go away, Indy our dog had a limp and was walking slowly. We asked Carol if she had an issue and she said no she would look after Indy and check she was ok. Carol looked after Indy, Bob and Tiggy as if they were her own. Pictures and videos were sent and when we returned home we could tell how happy they all were. We felt very relaxed on holiday knowing they were in good hands. On our return the house was so clean, all bed linen washed and dried. Thank you so much. We would highly recommend Carol and would use her again.

Amazing First Experience – Highly Recommend Jessica! This was my first time leaving Sadie with someone, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Jessica was fantastic from the start—we met beforehand to make sure everything felt right, and Sadie took to her immediately. Throughout the weekend, I received regular updates, including photos and videos, which really helped put my mind at ease. It was clear Sadie was having a great time and was well cared for. Jessica is kind, professional, and clearly loves animals. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter. Thank you again, Jessica! Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred East Riding of Yorkshire walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in East Riding of Yorkshire choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
