“Matthew was caring and conscientious whilst looking after our little dog. The circumstances were less than ideal, the weather was 30 degrees and she unfortunately had an illness which required antibiotics, although she was well in herself by the time we left her, she still needed to finish her course of medication whilst staying with Matthew. Matthew kept me updated and in touch the whole time, and immediately shared any concerns, and acted as necessary. Thank you Matthew”

“Millicent was fantastic from the first message! She replied to my booking request in a timely manner, which was extra appreciated considering the short notice. Due to this being Freddie’s first night away from home I was quite nervous and Millicent was so kind throughout the whole process, even offering for us to come the day prior for Fred (and myself) to meet her so we both would have a sense of where he would be staying. Throughout his stay I was provided multiple updates with pictures and I can safely say Freddie looked to have an amazing time, receiving plenty of cuddles! I was very nervous as Freddie is a big dog who doesn’t know his own size and strength, but Millicent was absolutely fantastic with him and I trust her completely. Will be my go to petter sitter moving on 💕🐾”

“There are no words good enough to describe the amazing Daria and family! They took care of my Dachshund Molly for three nights and for the first time ever leaving her I didn’t have a single worry. I had many updates about Molly, what she was up to, videos, pictures etc. Daria was so kind in answering any questions I had. Dachshunds are known to be nervous dogs but molly settled in right away with no issues what’so ever, I could tell she fell in love with the family straight away as she was so comfortable sleeping on them 😂. Molly came in to season just before staying and Daria was so helpful and fine with making some changes to mollys routine and helping with keeping her clean and comfortable. About: I have always loved dogs and have owned several over the years. I was a veterinary nurse for many years before I became a registered nurse. When l was 55 (in 2020) I took early retirement and missed having a dog but didn't want to be tied down as I wanted to travel more. Dog boarding/sitting provided the perfect answer! I have been boarding dogs in my home for the past 6 years but also, now want to pet sit so l can travel more. I live in a beautiful village called Barrow upon Humber and there are many dog friendly walks around me. I have an enclosed garden with a foot wall and fence. I especially love dog walking on the beach as it goes for miles and you get to meet a lot of other dog walkers there and I love the many field and coastal walks near to me. I simply adore our 4 legged friends and life is just not the same without a dog! I have a full assessment of every dog in my care and try and stick to their usual routine. I like to feed them after the morning walk then the rest of the day is spent having lots of love and cuddles. If they are happy to travel in my car l can take them out and about or leave them for a couple of hours with a treat and some music/TV on. I prefer small/Med size dogs that like a good walk then a relax afterwards. I have a 6 foot fence around my garden and a hatch back car with dog seat belt so they can go in the hatch or on the back seat. I also have dog crates if they are used to them to save you bringing your own. I have dog bowls so would just need their bed, favourite toys, food and treats.

“Maisie was extremely excellent with my babies ( 3 cats) . My cats are extremely spoiled and are mainly indoor cats ( outside only with supervision). They are also very weary of people, especially my oldest , Olaf who is a big antisocial grump. My two younger cats , Sven and Aurora really adored her and felt comfortable with her. These are some extra things she did that made me feel so comfortable with her and made me love her 1) she always played with my babies, giving them rubs, and even made box castles for them, which the loved! 2) she always tidied their eating area, washed their food bowls and mats and cleaned up any food bits on the floor! 3) she even tidied up my kitchen!!!! Where i kept their packs of dry treats! And always checked their water. 4) I extremely loved that she took lots of pictures of my babies, their food bowls ( before and after she put their food), their litter boxes before and after cleaning ( so i could see their poop), she even changed the litter sand once it got saturated with pee!!! And put in fresh litter! 5) she even cleaned up messes and poop outside the box that Olaf was doing in protest of me not being there . 6) she even asked about Olaf eating, because he was not coming out when she came around ( that really touched me) 7) she was always punctual and efficient 8) She followed all the instructions and went over and beyond) in a great way), i have different types of dry and wet food, with special types for each cat, and she did great! 9) She gave my babies dreamies treats, and won their favour 10) She definitely has a good aura, because my babies really loved her. And best of all, I came back to a clean house, clean litter box and happy well fed babies( Aurora even gor fatter and bigger in my absence!). This is my first time ever using a pet sitter, because I am very protective about my babies and they usually travel with me.. but i must say, Maisie was beyond my expectations, and now I know that I will definitely use her again, and I can now travel without having to take my babies with me. I strongly recommend Maisie! ( but make sure you allow her have availability for me when next I need her 😸😺😻… lots of love from me and my babies- Olaf , Sven and Aurora 💛🩵🧡”

About: I've loved animals for as long as I can remember, especially dogs and cats. I grew up with an Alsatian and, as soon as I moved into my own home at 18, I adopted my first cat. My husband shares my love of animals, and together we have a home full of furry family members! We have two beautiful cats (both aged 5), our wonderful 14-year-old Jack Russell cross, Rocky, who still thinks he's a puppy, and our affectionate 11-month-old Labrador, Sonny. Despite his size, Sonny is incredibly gentle, friendly and loves both people and other animals. About: I've been around dogs my whole life. I was raised around German shepherds for 19 years and I had about 15! I've currently got a little border terrier, who's 4 and I've had him from a pup. I understand the training needs for dogs of all ages. I'm home consistently, and can assure that they'd be treated the way I treat my own. I have looked after family dogs, friends dogs and others before when they've been away. I enjoy taking days out with the dogs, to the beach or forests. I like to give them good socialising experiences and I understand the importance of this. Their care and welfare is of upmost importance to me. I'm home consistently, and currently I am looking to build a permanent doggy day care business. This will be my weekly routine, and full time earning. I have a Border Terrier and he is allowed the rein of the house. There's a secure back garden, that has a 6ft fence that he regularly runs around and plays in. My house has three large reception rooms so plenty of space for a dog to run and play in. There's an amplitude of toys and treats! They'll also have plenty of room if they need a minute to themselves. There's a designated area for dog beds and blankets for them to have a nap in. Throughout his stay I was provided multiple updates with pictures and I can safely say Freddie looked to have an amazing time, receiving plenty of cuddles! I had many updates about Molly, what she was up to, videos, pictures etc. Daria was so kind in answering any questions I had. Dachshunds are known to be nervous dogs but molly settled in right away with no issues what’so ever, I could tell she fell in love with the family straight away as she was so comfortable sleeping on them 😂. Molly came in to season just before staying and Daria was so helpful and fine with making some changes to mollys routine and helping with keeping her clean and comfortable. About: I work from home so I am available 24/7 to care for your pets. I have a garden for them to run around and chill out in which is secure and can be accessed all day. I am the animal sitter in my friend group so have experience looking after, dogs, cats, rabbits and horses. I work full time but at home and have flexibility with my calendar so I am able to meet your pets needs from walking, attention, feeding them or just giving attention. About: I've loved animals for as long as I can remember, especially dogs and cats. I grew up with an Alsatian and, as soon as I moved into my own home at 18, I adopted my first cat. My husband shares my love of animals, and together we have a home full of furry family members! We have two beautiful cats (both aged 5), our wonderful 14-year-old Jack Russell cross, Rocky, who still thinks he's a puppy, and our affectionate 11-month-old Labrador, Sonny. Despite his size, Sonny is incredibly gentle, friendly and loves both people and other animals. I work part-time for the NHS, which has helped me develop responsibility, reliability and a caring nature. When your pet is with us, they'll be treated as part of the family, with plenty of love, attention and care. My husband is home every other week, so there's often someone around to keep your pet company. We also have two children, aged 13 and 10, who have grown up surrounded by animals. They are kind, gentle and respectful around pets and absolutely love helping to care for them. Over the years I've looked after pets for friends and family, and they've often encouraged me to join Rover because they know how much I enjoy caring for animals. Having trained Sonny from a puppy, I'm also happy to reinforce basic training and routines if you'd like me to. I'm also happy to administer medication (oral or topical) if your pet requires it, as long as I'm given clear instructions. I understand that every pet has their own routine, and I'll do everything I can to ensure they feel safe, comfortable and settled while in my care.
