About: I grew up with a cocker spaniel and in my twenties owned two beagles so have no problem with hyper active dogs. Over the last few years I have looked after a bijon frise, a daschund, two labradoodles, a golden retriever, a cockapoo and a cavapoo. Some of these have been at their own home and some at my own home. I'm happy for either circumstance as it is wherever the pet or owner would like the pet to be. I work full time so Mondays and Fridays will be me working from home or the clients home but free all weekend. I can do other days upon negotiation. Sundays I will be busy for 2-3 hours in the morning but can still do the morning feed and walks. I do not have a garden but do have a large field 100 yards from the house. I will always keep the pet on the lead. I try to keep the routine laid out by the owner where possible i.e. nap times, feeding, walking, how they sleep at night etc

About: I have over four years of experience caring for a wide range of dogs, offering services including walks, day sitting, and overnight stays. Through this, I’ve become confident handling different breeds, sizes, and personalities, always making sure each dog feels safe, happy, and well cared for. As a dog owner of two gorgeous labradors myself, I understand how important a trustworthy sitter is, and I always treat every dog as if they were part of my own family. 🐾 As a full time biomedical science student, I have a flexible schedule that fits around my studies. Being away from my own dogs back home, I especially value the companionship, and recognise the importance of caring for your dog as I would my own 💕 When caring for dogs in their own home, I pay close attention to instructions, in order to maintain your dogs routine to achieve a stress free experience for both you and your pet. On walks, I prioritise safety, while making sure your dog gets the exercise and mental stimulation that they require, whether that is a run around a field, or a gentle stroll around a park. This tailoring means that your pets needs are listened to, so they feel happy and settled while you are away ☺️

About: I believe pets aren’t just animals - they’re family. That’s why everything I do is built around trust, compassion, and genuinely personalised care. I’m an animal lover with a CPD Accredited Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming, Pet Sitting & Dog Walking, offering professional dog walking, pet sitting, puppy and kitten care, and overnight house sitting tailored to suit each pet’s unique personality, age, and individual needs. I have hands-on experience caring for young puppies, senior dogs, and pregnant dogs, and I understand the extra patience, attention, and gentle handling they require. From helping puppies build routines and supporting toilet training, to providing slower-paced, comfort-focused care for older dogs, and calm, attentive support for pregnant dogs, I treat every stage of a pet’s life with the care and respect it deserves. No two pets are the same, which is why I always take the time to learn their routines, preferences, and any special requirements. I am fully insured and DBS checked, giving you complete peace of mind whether you’re at work, away for the day, or enjoying a holiday. Your pet’s safety, wellbeing, and happiness always come first. Whether your dog needs an energy-burning walk, your senior pet needs gentle companionship, or your puppy or pregnant dog requires extra reassurance and care at home, I offer reliable, loving support you can trust. With regular updates, photos, and open communication, you’ll always know your furry family members are in safe, caring hands. Because for me, it’s not just pet care - it’s care with heart 🐶🐱💛 I work as a full-time dog walker and pet sitter, offering flexible availability from Monday to Sunday, because I understand that your furry friends need love, care, and routine every day of the week - not just weekdays. Dog walks and drop-in visits are available between 7:30am and 7:30pm, allowing for both early starts and evening care to fit around your schedule. House sitting services are arranged on an individual basis and will be discussed in detail with each owner to ensure the best possible care for your home and pets. My aim is to provide reliable, consistent, and stress-free care that works for both you and your pets 🐾💛 The safety, comfort, and wellbeing of every pet in my care is always my top priority. All services are provided in the pet owner’s home or out on walks, allowing pets to remain in familiar surroundings and continue with their normal routines. Before any service begins, I take the time to get to know each pet through an initial meeting and a detailed pet information form. This helps me understand feeding routines, exercise needs, medical requirements, behavioural traits, and any special care instructions. I have experience caring for puppies, senior dogs, and pregnant dogs, and I adapt my care to suit each pet’s individual needs - from gentle handling and slower walks to increased supervision and reassurance. When caring for pets in the owner’s home, I treat both the pets and the property with the utmost respect. I carefully follow all instructions provided, maintain home security, and aim to keep routines as consistent as possible to reduce stress and anxiety. During house sitting services, pets receive companionship, attention, and calm, reliable care while their home remains secure. For dog walking services, I assess each dog individually, use secure leads and harnesses, choose safe walking routes, and closely monitor behaviour at all times. Walks are tailored to each dog’s age, health, and energy levels to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. I am fully insured and DBS checked, and I maintain clear, open communication with owners throughout every service, including regular updates and photos. My aim is to build long-term trust with both pets and their owners by providing reliable, compassionate care in a safe and familiar environment.

I can’t recommend Julie enough as a dog sitter! She has been absolutely amazing with my cocker spaniel, Buddy. From the very beginning, it was clear how much she genuinely cares about the dogs she looks after. Buddy warmed to her instantly, and I could tell he felt comfortable and happy in her company. Julie takes him on lovely long walks, making sure he gets all the exercise and stimulation he needs, and she always goes the extra mile to ensure he’s well cared for. I had complete peace of mind knowing he was in such capable and kind hands. It’s clear that Julie not only loves what she does but also understands dogs really well. Buddy came home happy, relaxed, and very well looked after. I feel so lucky to have found her, and I’ll definitely be booking with her again!

About: I offer a loving, kind and attentive home for your dog/s to come and enjoy whilst you are away with my equally as dog loving partner Matthew so your pup will never be short of company. We have plenty of toys, bones and treats, exciting walks and trips out on a weekend to offer. We have a client form we ask new clients to fill out to assess the dog’s needs and requirements to ensure we have their details to hand at all times. We will also send many pictures and videos to keep your mind at ease whilst you are away. We love looking after animals and we are both very experienced in dog behaviours and can replicate positive training with your pup. They will receive natural treats, fresh fruits and veg (should you/the dog wish) as a welcome to our home. In the summer period, we will ensure there is plenty of shade in the garden, full water supply and ice cubes to hand to keep your dog safe in hot weather (that we will hopefully get in the UK!). ———— From Yorkshire terriers to German Shepard’s, Spaniels to Labrador’s - we have experience or a wide range of different breeds, ages, sizes and dog numbers! We have even looked after 5 dogs at once for a whole week! We look forward to meeting you and your doggy/doggies 🐾 I work from home three days a week and I am on a flexible working plan, whereby I can start/finish work at different times. I will be able to offer walking morning, lunch, evening. Matthew typically starts work early mornings but finishes in good time due to self-employment. We have a secure locked back garden with tall fencing and outdoor seating where I can work outside and keep an eye on the doggies playing. We are a 2 minutes walk away from large, quiet park where dogs can be off the lead safely and lots of room for playing fetch should you feel comfortable for off lead walking. We also have access to a vehicle for weekend adventures (weather permitting!). DBS checked ✅ K9 first aid certified ✅ **DISCLAIMER** We will NOT look after dogs from different households at the same time and will look after a maximum of 4 dogs from the same household or who are familiar with each other i.e family/friends dogs. This is because we want your dogs to feel as safe and comfortable as possible and we cannot predict the interactions of dogs who are unfamiliar to each other.

About: I’m experienced in dog care and have always loved being around animals, especially dogs. Unfortunately, due to the demands of being full-time teachers, we’re not currently able to have one of our own. That’s why dog sitting gives us the best of both worlds — we get to enjoy the companionship, exercise, and joy of dog walking without compromising on the commitment a dog deserves. We love being outdoors and exploring new walks, so spending time with dogs fits perfectly into our lifestyle. We are happy to have dogs to stay during the week if they are used to being left alone for a fee hours in a large airy kitchen. We’re always free to dog sit during evenings, school holidays and most weekends. We’d love to spend time with your pups! We’re free to play, walk, and cuddle with them every Monday after 2pm, most weekends, and throughout the school holidays. Whether it’s a muddy adventure, a game of fetch, or just some belly rubs on the sofa, we’re ready to give your dog plenty of attention and fun while you’re away or busy. We are happy to have dogs during the week if they are comfortable being left on their own for 4 hours max - Our working hours are: Mon - Wed 8-4 (we have a dog walker to come in midway through the day) Thu - Fri we are back by lunchtime We have a secure, dog-friendly household with a fully fenced garden that’s perfect for your pup to run around and play safely. Whether your dog loves to chase a ball, lounge in the sun, or just explore, our garden is a great space for them to enjoy. We’re happy to accommodate any specific routines or requests you have—just let us know, and we’ll make sure your dog feels right at home.

Trina has been excellent! I came home to a very chilled cat and a tidy house. It's the first time I have been away and left my cat for so long. She came to meet me and Oren before I went away which put me at ease. Trina sent regular updates and photos of him, which helped me not to worry so much. Will definitely use again the next time I am away!

About: I have taken care of friends and families, neighbours pets for them whilst they are away, or at work. I have a dog of my own and had him since being a puppy and would love to help others out with looking after their pet whilst they are away or at work and unable to. I’m currently studying so I have a lot of free time as well for something I enjoy doing. I am free most days and can also do last minute requests. I have a fenced garden at my house and it’s a rather big open plan home so they would have plenty of space to play and roam around. Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other East Riding of Yorkshire pet parents with similar pet households.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in East Riding of Yorkshire choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
