About: Had 4 different dogs in my lifetime, all who were loved until the age of 18, aswell as 2 cats, and have experience dealing with dogs all different natures and breeds. I love taking care of them and keeping them safe and being around animals brings me much joy. One of my current dogs being 18, and my other being 1, means I have to deal with both senior and youthful energy all the time, teaching me alot. I'm currently in my first year at York St John University, although have lots of free time all week, so I'm happy to help out during the week and on weekends! I love to spend time with animals, so I am extremely flexible, and will likely be available whenever required 😁 I'm happy to adapt in whatever scenario to care for any pets, I'm happy to feed them, play with them, chill with them, keep an eye on them, take them out for walks, smother them with love, whatever you require!

About: I've been dog sitting for my family and friends for 5 years now, and have a gentle and caring approach to meeting new people and pets. I am a member of my uni's dog society where we socialise and walk dogs, and have experience from raising two crazy spaniels from puppy / rescue. Would love new company and experience! I'm currently a student, so have lots of time within the week for visits, and very flexible for overnight stays. Whether you're heading on a weekend, day trip or full holiday, I'd love to help out! I offer clean and responsible care for your pets, and love big walks and cosy evenings in. I have a car and great knowledge of walks around York. Unfortunately, I cannot offer stays at my own home.

About: Hi, I’m Ellen, and I’ve been surrounded by dogs and cats my whole life. For years I’ve been entrusted to walk dogs belonging to friends, family and paying customers, and to do drop-in visits for pets. I also walk and care for my own two dogs, Bella and Wilby, on a daily basis. In 2021 I also had the wonderful experience of raising Bella’s litter of 5 puppies in my family home, from their birth right up until they moved in with their new families (apart from Wilby who we decided to keep!). Wilby is an anxious dog and doesn’t get on well with other dogs, so I’m experienced in walking particularly difficult and antisocial dogs. I’m currently a university student, so my pet care fits around my university schedule. I’m available during the early mornings and the evenings, and my availability varies during working hours, but I’ll always be able to make time for your pet. I’m also available throughout the day on Saturdays and Sundays. Whilst on walks, I prefer to stick to green areas rather than roads for both the safety and enjoyment of your pup. I also shower them with all the pets and attention that they could want.

About: Having walked neighbour’s dogs from a young age and grown up with cats, I’m very comfortable looking after both. I have been on Rover since the start of 2026, and have done pet-sitting in my home, in their own home, as well as on a drop-in basis. I have experience with a wide range of breeds, ages and temperaments. I like to live an active life myself so higher energy dogs aren’t an issue! I’d be keen to follow your own routines with your pet to give them consistency, and of course give them a happy, safe and comfortable time with me. I also make sure to give consistent updates to owners so they know how their pet is doing - pets really are part of the family! I work full time Mon-Fri, generally at home on Mondays and Fridays, so dog sitting on long weekends is particularly good when I can give them undivided attention. I’d be happy doing duties before/after work and during my lunch hour when I’m at the office too. Weekend-wise, I’m entirely available and flexible to cater to the dog’s usual exercise routines. I can offer at least 2 good walks a day and can feed according to your dog’s usual routine (please provide their regular food). I would keep routines consistent and watch for any changes in behaviour, and provide regular photo/message updates so you feel connected. I treat all pets as though they’re my own - with a lot of love, patience and care! I’m trustworthy to provide the best possible care for your pet whether they are staying in my house or your own, and would respect your space if doing drop in visits and be particularly careful about locking up when leaving. If they’re staying with me, my house is in a quiet area with a secure, dog-proof garden. I would do my best to follow your pet’s routines to give them as much consistency as possible. I would also ensure to give you regular updates on how your pet is doing and what they’re getting up to! My aim is for your pet to return to you happy and relaxed.

About: I’ve loved and cared for dogs for most of my life. Growing up, my family had a female Pomeranian who was with us for over 10 years, followed by a female Husky. Caring for them gave me experience with dogs of different breeds, sizes and personalities. Now I live with my partner and our spayed female Cockapoo, Loopy. Looking after her has taught me the importance of understanding each dog’s individual needs, routine and personality. I’ve also looked after friends’ dogs, including a large Old English Sheepdog, whom I bathed and cared for, as well as several Cockapoos. One of my friend’s Cockapoos even stayed overnight in our home for a week, so I’m experienced in helping dogs settle into a new environment and feel comfortable. I genuinely love spending time with dogs. I enjoy taking them for walks, visiting parks and going on countryside walks together. I always pay close attention to their behaviour, comfort and wellbeing, and I’ll care for your dog with the same love and attention that I give my own. As a freelancer, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give dogs plenty of time, attention and companionship throughout the day. Every dog is different, so I take the time to understand their personality and make sure they feel relaxed and secure. My goal is for your dog to enjoy their stay just as much as you enjoy your time away.

About: I adore animals and grew up with dogs, mainly terriers and labs so caring for them is second nature to me. I’ve worked in many places that are dog friendly also. I absolutely adore pets and and can’t wait to know yours. I’ve got over 10 years experience living with and minding pets, mainly dogs and cats, from puppies to rescues. I’m an active outdoorsy person so can provide that adventure if needed but also know a calm and comforting environment with a cuddle is sometimes what’s needed. I live in a new build flat, accessed via stairs in York. It is spacious and airy and near many green spaces with lovely walks and not far from the river and gardens.
