1. Marcy D.

“Amazing service. My cat was extremely well looked after here and Marcy was kind enough to send me lots of photo updates while I was away. Absolute 10 out of 10, thank you.”

2. LIHUA S.

“Sally has been a great help to us as a pet sitter and we trust her 100%. Recently, we had a family emergency and asked her last minute if she could take care of our dog, Dany for two nights. She was quick to respond and stepped in to help as she always does. We know Dany is in good hands with her, and we really appreciate her reliability. I would recommend Sally highly.”

3. Jamie C.

“Billy lived his time with Jamie. I got photo updates during the stay and he looked so happy. Definitely will be booking again.”

4. Laura C.

“Dexy had a lovely time at Laura’s and was looked after extremely well. I definitely recommend her and would not hesitate to rebook him when needed, thank you Laura”

5. Rachel W.
“Rachel cares wonderfully for our two cats (Penny and Cooper) whenever we have to travel. They love her visits, she will sit and play with them as well as feed and check water/litter trays. She sends us updates and pictures, and Cooper loves having cuddles with her! Having seen how brilliant Rachel is with her own dog, we have no doubt that she will provide excellent care for your pets.”

6. Dominika B.

“Dominika and her lovely family have looked after our dog Zappa a couple of times now. They always treat him as part of the family and he has such a great time that he’s always a bit grumpy to come home with us! He has long walks a couple of times a day with the family where he has the chance to go swimming and burn off plenty of energy playing with the two family dogs - both of whom are sweet natured and playful. He curls up with them in the evening and we have received plenty of photo updates throughout his stays with the family. We’re so grateful to Dominika and her family for the love and care they give to our boy and feel able to go away with our minds at ease, safe in the knowledge that he will have a great time”

7. Sophie H.

“Sophie was a fantastic host for my dog Cleo at her house. She provided updates throughout the stay and asked questions to make sure she was giving Cleo the best care possible. I knew Cleo was in safe hands and this made such a difference. Would highly recommend Sophie to others- she is brilliant with dogs.”

8. Lesley S.

“Picked Stan up after 2 weeks with Philip and Lesley. Stan seemed very happy and he had a nice silky coat. First time Stan has stayed with Philip and Lesley but will have no hesitation in him staying with them again. Thanks guys, Stan is like most dog owners very important to us, your care really matters.”

9. Lindsey B.

“Lindsey was such a lovely host for our dog and I would love to hopefully have Bagel visit again as he had such a fun time. He had a lovely wide range of walks and loads of fun. Thank you!!”

10. Emma B.

“Emma did a fantastic job of taking care of Ruby. We were able to pop round for a meet and greet before hand so that Ruby had a chance to meet Emma and have a good sniff around where she would be staying, which really helped her settle in quicker. Ruby can be quite fussy, and it was fantastic to see how Emma took care of all of her (sometimes quirky) needs. She also provided lots of lovely photos and videos of Ruby during her stay. My wife and I would not hesitate to recommend Emma as a dog sitter, she’s kind and a true animal lover!”

11. Georgia J.

“Maggie has a phenomenal stay with these two (plus their furry littles). Easy communication and Maggie settled in right away. She was calm and obviously very well cared for when I picked her. An absolute great option, and I would book again without a second thought.”

12. Stephen B.

“Stephen has looked after Stanley a few times now with great care and attention. I’m always relaxed knowing he’s in safe hands”

13. Maria P.

“Maria was an excellent sitter for Maggie. Almost immediately Maggie was comfortable with Maria. Maria provided great updates and communication throughout her stay. We will definitely look to book with Maria again!”

14. Rasa L.
About: From my childhood days spent with various breeds, including German Shepherds and Spaniels, to being the proud parent of a lively 4-year-old Labrador Retriever today, I truly believe that life wouldn’t be the same without our four-legged companions. They bring such joy and companionship! Over the years, I’ve gained valuable experience caring for dogs with various needs, including allergies, skin conditions, and emotional challenges. I have a natural patience and a genuine desire to ensure that every pet feels loved and secure during their time with me. My commitment to pets is absolute, and I take pride in providing the best care possible. I absolutely love to pamper dogs, whether it’s through walks, adventure outings, or playful games of fetch. Each dog has unique needs, and I’m more than happy to tailor my care, whether they need a long walk or just a short stroll. Your pet’s happiness and comfort are my top priorities. I’m particularly excited about the opportunity to meet new furry friends, and I enjoy taking walks at any time of day. My Labrador is very sociable and adores being around other dogs, making it even more enjoyable when we can share those moments together. To ensure your pet feels comfortable with me, I always recommend scheduling a free meet and greet. This way, we can both get to know each other a little better before any arrangements are made. My goal is to give you peace of mind when your dog is in our care. I promise to provide a home away from home where your dog will be safe, happy, and loved. Your furry friend won't even notice that you are away! I’m working from home office, which is ensuring that your dog will have constant companionship and care throughout the day. I live in a secure house with a large garden, private open fields and private woodland areas for plenty of walkies. I live in a secure house just outside York, in a peaceful location that should provide a lovely environment for your furry friend. My property features a large garden, private fields, and wooden areas, perfect for exploration and play. Depending on your dog's personality and needs, I’m happy to accommodate them in a way that feels most comfortable. If your dog is sociable, they can share a room with our dog, which could be great for companionship. However, if your dog prefers a little more privacy, I also have a spacious area set aside just for them. If needed, I can easily crate your dog to ensure they feel secure and safe.

15. Emma N.
About: I’ve always taken care of family and friends dogs, walking and looking after them from a young age! We have a family dog (my parents) who I looked after for a few years when I moved back home. I trained him from when we got him as a puppy and still look after him frequently now I work from home with the bi-weekly day in London. I therefore am available for day care and or lunchtime walks/ visits as well as weekend boarding. I will also do mid week boarding as necessary! I have an enclosed yard which is perfect for dogs to come in and out into the flat. I live in a ground floor flat and although it is small the kitchen is big enough for a dog to be very comfortable! I also live 2 min walk to bootham park!

16. Harriet Elisabeth M.

“Harriet was amazing! Our dog is quite anxious and so we were a little worried leaving her overnight for the first time but Harriet made us feel really comfortable and our dog instantly warmed to her. We were really impressed that Harriet messaged us a few days before warning about the temperatures in York as we had been travelling elsewhere to ask about cooling devices. She also gave us regular updates while we were away. I would 100% recommend Harriet to anyone looking for a loving and conscientious dog sitter.”

17. Lucy T.

“Lucy was a great sitter for Stanley our Dachsund. With experience from her own family dog she knew how to befriend him and put him at ease in a new space. We collected a happy and content doggy on our return, we would definitely book again!”

18. Samantha L.
“Samantha is a true animal lover, fantastic with dogs and very caring and attentive. She’s looked after my dog many times and he always comes back tired but very happy.”

19. Heather B.

“We were thrilled to have found Heather through Rover.com and were so happy to know that our quite nervous Border Terrier was in such kind, experienced hands while we were away on holiday recently. It was great to get updates and photos from Heather and when we collected Rosie from Heather, we enjoyed hearing all about Rosie's stay. You just know when someone loves dogs, and we thoroughly recommend Heather!”

20. Tom M.

“Tom was great! Would definitely rebook with him. He was nice enough to meet with us before the booking and asked lots of questions to make sure Jax was a good fit. While we were away, we got lots of updates and plenty of pictures. Jax was very happy when we picked up him. Thanks Tom!”
