Our flight was delayed coming home and Sally was really accommodating when we were a few hours late picking her up again. Shortly after making the booking, Jennifer reached out and we planned a short pre-meet before so that Gregory and her lovely dog Coco could meet, and we could share some information about them both. It was clear immediately that Jennifer and her family very much cared about making sure Gregory was going to have a comfortable stay with them, and he definitely did. During the boarding, Jennifer kept us updated with pictures of Gregory doing all his favourite things and he looked to be having an absolute splendid time, seemingly as comfortable as he would be in his own home! This was a booking made on extremely short notice due to a last minute cancellation by another sitter, and so we were extremely lucky that Maddie agreed to take him in for 2 nights. Moreover, she took the time to meet him before the booking and immediately put my and my husband's minds at ease. Haribo was definitely well-taken care of. She was very keen on sticking to his routines, was very caring and affectionate towards him. Madeline was amazing looking after my 3 year old labradoodle Willow for a couple of nights! Willow can get very nervous being left alone so I was a little worried leaving her, but Madeline had her settled in no time and kept me up to date on all the fun things she was doing. Brooke looked after my dog while I was out of the country for a few days. She was a new sitter for me and we met for a walk and for a daycare trial before the longer stay. I found Brooke to be really attentive to my dog's needs and she sent regular updates, photos and videos during the stay, which were very much appreciated. Brooke clearly takes time to ensure the dogs in her care have their needs met as well as loads of love and attention...can highly recommend.

We left our Dalmatian for two nights with Eva and it was the first time leaving him in 8 years since he was born but as soon as I met Eva I knew Milo would love her! And he did! Eva cared for him like he is cared for at home and he was a very happy boy on collection. Super Lady who must be very strong as she took him for plenty of walks without his face harness! Eva is braver than me haha! Eva sent me lots of pictures of Milo on his walks and was just fantastic! I highly recommend Eva to be the perfect dog sitter. I will be back Eva! Thank you so very much. Logan had another great stay with Rachel. She's always very loving with him, and provides a good balance of activities to entertain him and also time to rest and cuddle which he loves. She kept us updated with photos and even offered to drop him off, which really helped us out. Highly recommend her and will definitely book again when we need!
Bramble had the best time with Georgia and Luke over the weekend. She enjoyed plenty of exercise, followed by lots of snoozing and cuddles. When I came to collect her, it was obvious she'd had an amazing stay-she was so settled and content that she didn't want to leave the garden where she'd made herself comfortable for the afternoon. It's always reassuring to know your dog has been so well looked after and had such a wonderful time.

Maria was great with Teddy. i was sent loads of photos throughout his stay and he was enjoying it so much. Maria gave him a bath so when i picked him up he was a nice clean boy. Teddy will definitely being going back next time. She really got to know him and i felt relaxed all the time knowing he was in kind hands.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
