“It’s been the longest we have left Jesse alone - but Vera assured me with daily photos and messages. Jesse was very chilled in his own space, gave her cuddles and overall was a good boi. She left the house in a great shape, gave him short daily walks in a sun and it seems that they had a good time together! I will be booking her again”

“Lucy is an amazing petsitter! She stayed at my house for 11 days and looked after my very energetic and a bit reactive dog. She kept me updated, sent lots of pictures and followed my suggestions and requests 💙 Greta is missing You already!”

“Octavia looked after our dog in our home for one night. He’s a really nervous dog with epilepsy and she looked after him wonderfully. He was really calm when we got back home and the house was exactly how we left it. She also came and visited us before our booking to help with Terry’s nerves and we were very grateful! Would not hesitate to recommend - thank you!”

“Giovanna looked after our dog in our home. She was very quick and easy to communicate with to arrange a meet and greet. On the day she was on time, sent regular updates and spent quality time with our dog. We would definitely recommend.”

“Molly looked after our little old lady pug in our home when we were called away for a family emergency. Our dog is a sweet girl, but is very needy for company and prone to the occasional accident in her old age. Molly sent updates and left our home exactly as she found it. It was the first time we'd gone away without our dog, and it was comforting to know she had such good company. Thank you!”

“Erin came to our house to look after our two spaniels. They took and instant like to her and she made us feel relaxed about leaving our dogs with her. She was very poilte and engaging throughout the stay. We felt really comfortable having her stay in our house and looking after our dogs. Would definitely use her again.”

“Jingxi.L is a very calm, caring, and patient person, especially with our needy little Boston Terrier “Buddy” 🤍 Overall, we have found today’s pet sitting a great experience, and we will look forward to future bookings.”

“Stef took great care of our dog Bonnie while we were away for a long weekend. She was organised, punctual and easy to communicate with! Most importantly Bonnie seemed to have had a great time! Would definitely recommend Stef!”

“Helen is a delight! Really helped us out at short notice, and took Fred from another sitter, despite not meeting Fred before, and it was a late-at-night sitting. Fred was looked after beautifully, and we could not be more thankful for Helen for allowing us to feel that Fred was in safe hands. 10/10.”

About: Hi! I’m Max and I’m 22. I have grown up with dogs - from a yappy, moody Shih Tzu to two needy French Bulldogs and three dopey, dribbly Newfoundlands. My parents even have two Sulcata tortoises! My girlfriend and I moved to York together for University a few years ago and, having graduated, decided to stay here. We’re not currently in a position to have a dog of our own but I am very much missing having so many dogs in my life! I currently work from home as a freelance illustrator, meaning I’m happy to work completely around your schedule. Whether it’s long walks, constant attention or an oddly specific dinner time, you can rest assured that I will maintain your pups routine. As a freelance illustrator working from home, I’m able to cater completely to your pets needs, whether it be hourly wee breaks, lots of play time or long walks. I’m available to house-sit for under a week. My partner is just as excited about the prospect of meeting new pets so she may help with walks and come to give even more fuss and attention when she’s free (with the owner’s permission of course!) I will follow advice from the owner regarding any safety instructions, off-limits areas of the house, how much attention your pet likes & needs, and any recommended routes for walks.
“Jolene was fantastic with my dog who is blind and kept me regularly updated on how was. She kept good care of my place as well too while she was house sitting for 4 days. Would definitely reccommend to anyone looking for a house sitter!”

“Emma looked after Misty for us whilst we had a family celebration day. Emma soon had Misty settled and comfy and they had a good day together which included two walks. Emma sent us photos and a video of their outings and Misty looked happy with their adventures. Misty has taken to Emma and we will certainly be using her services again. Thank you Emma for taking such good care of Misty for us.”

About: Hello, my name is Petra and I am a Slovenian. I grew up with cats and dogs, parrots, chinchillas..needless to say, that I adore animals. I am a responsible, friendly and reliable person. In my care, your pet will get all the love and personalized attention they deserve, while being in the comfort of your home, or enjoying a long walk while you are at work. I believe that it is important to build up trust and relationship, with you as a pet parent as well as with your pet. After all, they are family members. And looking after them to me is not simply a job. It is a deep desire to provide peace and comfort to families who love their pets as much as I do. I work office hours, and flexibility to also work from home. I have a fenced yard in a quiet neighborhood, should you need boarding for your pet. I would preferably like to meet before looking after your pooch, I might already be looking after another and it's vital they get along. Please allow enough time for this. Last minute bookings (less than 3 days) might be rejected or charged at the higher rate. I can walk your pet, provide company and care as required depending on your pet's needs, social interaction/anxiety/dietary/grooming requirements,... each pet is different and I take that into account
“What a find she is Emma is fantastic. Reliable, responsible and respectful. The dogs adored her and the house was clean and tidy for our return. Highly recommend Emma to anyone who asks and wish her the best for her future assignments”

About: I have been living with dogs since I was 6 years old, and my late dog was part of our family for 18 years. I am confident in caring for dogs, including walking, feeding, brushing, and giving massages, as these were my responsibilities back in Japan. I also have experience caring for both young and senior dogs. Although I do not yet have dog-sitting experience, one of my friends who is experienced with Rover has shared helpful advice and supports me whenever needed. I am currently studying for my master’s degree at university, and I would love the opportunity to spend time with lovely dogs while living here. I’m currently studying at university and have a flexible schedule to spend quality time with your dogs. I am available to work from 11am to 6pm. I can take your dog on walks wherever and however they enjoy, as I have plenty of stamina and love being active with dogs. I mainly have experience with small dogs, but I am also comfortable with larger dogs, as I have experience handling horses as well.
About: I've had dogs all my life and looked after a variety of breeds. I grew up with a gorgeous boxer cross called Honey, I walked her after school for several years and in her old age I gave her medication and cared for her dearly. I now have two cats (Minnie and Leo) and a mastiff cross (Maisie) all rescues. Maisie is the opposite end of the spectrum to Honey in her later years and bounces around all over the place crashing into things 😂 I love all my animals and I really miss them when I'm at university in York so I thought I would sign up so I get some animal cuddles! I'm at university at York St John so I have a lot of spare time, I'm free at different times depending on the day but usually able to work out my schedule to suit. Unfortunately I'm not able to have pets in my home because I'm renting a shared house and it wouldn't be fair on my housemates. I am very happy to do house visits and walks though.

Eleanor is a lovely dog sitter - answers enquiries quickly , is always punctual and very friendly . She has looked after Millie a few times now including this Fri evening and also this Sat . She is always very good with Millie and Millie really enjoys her company -we get loads of pictures of Millie looking relaxed and happy which is reassuring as Millie has separation anxiety . Thanks again for helping us out Eleanor

Jing is so sweet and took such great care of my cat Nyxie! I was reassured consistently with many photos and videos. My home was also taken care of well too. I'm very grateful and appreciative that Jing played with Nyxie frequently, made sure she was fed and happy too. I highly recommend Jing, and I will certainly try and book with her again in the future🙏💜😸🐈⬛

We have been anxious about leaving our two dogs in the hands of someone else for a long while, however the recent day they spent with Helen at our house could not have gone better, with them clearly being comfortable around her. Our eldest one especially has trouble warming up to other people, so this is no small feat. We are relieved to have found someone who we and the dogs are comfortable with, and as a result would very much like to have Helen look after them again.
Vera is outstanding! I was so grateful and impressed with the way she cared for my two elderly dogs and my home. She wanted to know what they needed and made every effort to give them quality care and attention. She communicated regularly ,reassuring us that the dogs were safe snd well. I would not hesitate to employ Vera again and I recommend her 100%. She is totally trustworthy in my opinion and very pleasant to work with. Thank you Vera.

Amie helped us out of a tricky situation on Christmas Day by looking after Teddy, our 10‑week‑old Cocker Spaniel puppy. She kept us updated throughout the day, and Teddy was calm and relaxed when we returned home. Amie is trustworthy, punctual, and someone we will definitely reach out to again. Highly recommended
