About: Hey, I'm Frances, a York/Selby Local I've grown up having many pets - dogs, Birds and guinea pigs. ☀️ Being around animals has always felt natural to me. All throughout my life I have lived in a home who have owned many Boxer dogs, so my love for dogs grew from there, we adopted Isla a 10 year old White Boxer, with lots of energy. She's a strong, energetic girl who requires longer walks and a solid routine Clear communication is really important to me. I'll always respect your instructions on training or routines, and I'll always keep you updated with photos and little check-ins. I attend dance classes 3 times a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 4pm and 8pm, so I've got plenty of time to spare for your dogs during the day. I’m happy to care for dogs in their own home and will always make sure they feel safe, comfortable and well looked after. I love taking dogs on walks and exploring different routes, parks and green spaces so they can get plenty of exercise and enjoy lots of new smells. I’ll follow their usual routine, give them plenty of attention and make sure they’re happy and settled before I leave.

About: I adore animals, had pets when I was growing up and will give your pet the attention, exercise, play and love they need! I’ve got over 5 years experience minding dogs and cats. I work in the entertainment industry so my schedule is variable and flexible. I keep my calendar as up to date as possible but just get in touch if you’re interested and we can chat! I live in a new build flat, accessed via stairs in York. It is spacious and airy and near green spaces, parks and lovely walks. I love daily fresh air, whether a run or a walk and can incorporate your pet into this with ease.

About: I have a lifelong love and experience with animals. I have three dogs and two cats, so I’m very comfortable caring for multiple pets and understanding their individual personalities, routines and needs. I have had dogs all my life, giving me extensive experience with feeding, walking, playtime, grooming, companionship and general day-to-day care. I’m confident around dogs of different personalities and understand the importance of keeping them happy, safe and well exercised. I have also had cats for the past five years, so I’m experienced with their feeding routines, litter trays, grooming, playtime and providing them with a calm and comfortable environment. I am currently 10 weeks pregnant and self-employed so I have lots of time on my hands now and in the near future, spending time with animals is always top priority in my schedule :) I have all the correct safety precautions for my pets already so yours will be perfectly safe with me I already have three dogs and two cats!

“We can't recommend James and Helen highly enough and we are so happy we found them! They have taken our 2 dogs out on numerous occasions for long and different walks and also looked after them in our home for 3 nights while we went away. Helen and James offer a variety of services like that above and social meet ups for the dogs and owners once a month which we are attending this Sunday! They kept us regularly updated with pictures and letting us know what they were up to, whilst also taking really good care of our home. This meant we could really enjoy our trip and relax in the knowledge they were in the best hands- we honestly didnt worry once. The love they have shown to our dogs shows just how passionate they are about their business. Helen and James are very professional and knowledgeable with regards to dog behaviour- it was lovely to see our dogs act in a different way with high quality pictures to show! Both our dogs (a Staffy cross and Belgian shepherd) have fallen in love with James and Helen 'uncle James and auntie Helen' and we came back to very happy and shattered pooches! We can't thank them enough and will continue to use them whenever we need and when the dogs are missing them! :) xx”

About: I grew up looking after fantail doves, and since becoming a business owner and digital nomad in 2024, I've loved petsitting for many animals across the world. From dogs to cats to goats to goldfish, I've loved learning who they are, supporting them in their homes and having a fun & rewarding time with them in the process! I have experience with animals of all ages including week old puppies, senior dogs and cats. I work remotely in my own business, which allows me to live flexibly and support your pets with the routine and life they're used to whilst you're away. About: Ever since a young age, i have taken care of all animals due to family and friends pets. My Grandmother, who had 7 dogs and 3 cats, taught me how to care for animals both stray and tamed from the age of a puppy to an elderly dog. This taught me many skills on how to care for animals, fulfilling not only their physical needs but emotional too. I am currently on the summer break with no jobs and no upcoming holidays trying to save for university and will therefore be free daily for anyone who needs any pet sitters or dog walkers. I currently only have a cat at the moment as my dog lives with my dad in Scotland, however, i can ensure your pet, whether thats a dog, cat or other, will be kept safe and entertained. As long as boundaries regarding the animal are understood beforehand they will be kept safe and secure.

About: I have been around animals all my life, having cats, rabbits and a horse as pets in my childhood. I have gained experience of pet sitting over the last three years with cats, dogs, fish and ferrets. I love meeting new animals. I currently work part time so I have lots of availability for pet sitting around this. I do early morning and late visits on work days and have several full days free each week. I will care for you home and your pet whilst you are away. I am happy to look after plants as well. I will follow the instructions provided by yourself.

I’m often the one in my family who ends up taking care of everyone’s dogs, and I honestly love it—walks, playtime, cuddles, all of it. I am a teacher so very flexible in school holidays. I have a fenced garden and we have a secure house. I live by a large amount of lovely walks and enjoy weekends exploring. The house is suitable for pets and kept clean and tidy.

About: My family rescued a Romanian stray 6 years ago - he was scared of everything you could imagine (such as hats and hi-vis!). Patience and understanding have been vital to appreciating his actions because of his altered through process. I pride myself in understanding dogs through their body language, so I have no doubts I would be able to befriend your pup! I've also walked a family friend's labrador for the last few years, and we've formed a bond that's quite special to me; I'd love to meet new dogs too. I'm currently enrolled in college, so weekends and weekday evenings are all I can currently offer! I'm also free all day on Wednesdays, and driving into the moors with a couple of dogs and walking for a few hours sounds like heaven to me! As the owner of an escape-artist dog, our back garden in fully fenced in. Dog-tolerating dogs are needed due to sharing the home with my own dog, but he adores dogs and finds pack solidarity very comforting. He was crate trained until recently - due to fireworks and darkness he's more timid than usual so we have sold the crate and he sleeps in someone's room! I'm very happy to crate your dog overnight provided I can use yours. We live near the river and Walmgate Stray, so there's no shortage of enriching wanders too. About: My husband and I have had pets our entire life, so caring for animals truly comes naturally to us. Although we sadly no longer have our own dog, our love for animals hasn’t changed – and we now have a warm, welcoming home ready to help other families by caring for their dogs and cats when they need it most. I work from home so no pets will be left on their own. Your pet will be part of our routine at all times unless otherwise specified by you as an owner. Our home is very much a home-from-home environment, where pets are treated as part of the family. We have a gentle and animal-loving 2-year-old who absolutely adores pets and has grown up around them, so kindness and respect for animals is something we value deeply in our household. We also have plenty of pets within our wider family, so animals are always part of our lives.
