Hello! I’m Vera. I moved to York six years ago to study at the University of York, and now I work remotely as an analyst. My flexible schedule allows me to care for some fluffy companions on the side! I love both cats and dogs and have been pet sitting for the past two years. As an introvert, I find comfort and joy in spending time with animals.

During pet sitting, I will ensure all entry points are secured, I'll familiarize myself with emergency procedures and contacts, including local services and veterinarians. Moreover, Maintaining a low profile in your house, respecting your privacy and avoiding restricted areas. Providing regular updates, ensuring no unauthorized visitors enter and maintaining cleanliness for your pet’s safety and your home’s security.

Yang is brilliant. It was my first time using Rover and leaving our two kittens but she made the whole process very easy and I would not hesitate to book her again. She sent lots of updates and photos and calmly managed all kinds of kitten chaos! Apart from two happy kittens, I would not have known Yang had been in the house as she left everything very tidy. Thank you Yang, I would definitely recommend you to others!
Yang was absolutely lovely and got on really well with our dog Loki. We will definitely be contacting her again for dog sitting!
Yang was great, she sent me lots of photos and let me know how Ted was getting on through the day & was lovely to work with - I felt happy knowing Ted was in good hands
Vera is outstanding! I was so grateful and impressed with the way she cared for my two elderly dogs and my home. She wanted to know what they needed and made every effort to give them quality care and attention. She communicated regularly ,reassuring us that the dogs were safe snd well. Yang was outstanding with our boys! She knew exactly how to handle very fussy cats and provided us with regular updates on how they were doing. The boys clearly bonded extremely well with Yang (despite usually being very anxious around new people), and we will absolutely be rebooking in the future. The house was also immaculately well cared for! It was a real pleasure all round!
All went well! Greta loved Yang and we’d love to see at our home again soon! The house was left tidy too 💙

Schedule
Working from home allows me the flexibility to house-sit any day of the week. For drop-in visits, I am available before 9 am and after 5 pm in the week, with full availability on weekends. Additionally, I can make midday visits during the workweek if necessary.
