Jolene was absolutely fantastic, we have 3 very different dogs in temperament and she handled all 3 with no issues. She went above and beyond, sent lots of pictures and videos to reassure all was well and looked after the house, leaving it as she found it. Would highly recommend, would give more stars if I could, she is first class

To say we are disappointed is beyond explanation. Jolene was hired to watch our two dachsunds for two nights over the weekend while we went on a business trip to London. The initial meet and greet was fine and I feel we explained our needs very carefully with Jolene. Regretfully, on first (and last) day things swiftly fell apart. Fortunately we keep cameras around the home to keep tabs on goings on downstairs. We had explained that if Jolene wanted to go out that she needs to put our dogs in their secure crates and lock up before leaving. Within the first 45 minutes of us traveling to London by car Jolene had left the house with our dogs visible through the front window along with the back door wide open. We were only aware of this due to our neighbour contacting us with immediate concern. This 80+ year old lady then had to climb our back garden fencing to close the door just so thing were even a little secure. During this we had to stop and attempted to contact Jolene but she wouldn't respond. Once she returned after an hour we had to use a security camera just to speak to her. We let this go as just accident and travelled to London (4 hour journey). Jolene then seemed to leave our dogs in the front room looking out for us while she sat in a different room. Jolene then left to feed her cats, though we are not sure why she couldn't stay with our dogs as expected and her partner just feed the cats for her (we hired Jolene, not her partner). She advised this would take around an hour and a half but didn't return for 3 hours. At this point we began paying close attention to the cameras as something didn't seem right. Once Jolene and her partner returned to our house they proceeded to feed our dogs (the wrong amount of food than guided in the morning) and then left at around 5pm without telling us. Jolene had asked us if her partner could use our standing desk and wifi to work in our home which we kindly supported. Sadly, they left again and didn't stay with the dogs. Our dogs were already highly stressed from the constant leaving. At 22:10pm Jolene still hadn't returned. I had attempted to call her multiple times but she would not answer. My wife at this point was having a panic attack as Jolene had left the house and dogs in pitch black for longer than the allowed 4 hours they could leave for. It was here I had to make the very serious decision to drive back all the way from London (Over 8 hours in one day) while my dad sat outside the house waiting for Jolene to hopefully return. When she did respond she advised she had gone to another dog sit meet and greet without telling us or focusing on our dogs we were paying over £150 to be watched for just two days. When I finally got into contact with her, Jolene got upset from us deciding to let her go and our request to have her return our house key. Oddly she put the phone down on us in this moment and turned her phone off or blocked us. My dad then had to call the police while I sped home home fueled only on panic and adrenaline. (I made it home at 3am!) Jolene had eventually returned after two hours and gave the key back but my dad had to stay and watch our girls while I travelled. Today (Sunday) I had to get up at 3am to drive all the way back to London to pick up my wife's work equipment and then drive all the way back home in one go (16 hours driving total at this point) while my 80 year old neighbor watched our dogs for us with delicate love and attention. I have used Rover multiple times and made really good friendships with sitters on her but this a traumatising experience that not only affected a 4 digit business investment but had made us question using Rover again entirely. Beyond disappointed.

Jolene looked after Tess for two consecutive days. Each day, she was conscientious and pleasant, and Tess was happy with her. Not much more I can say, except we’d be happy to use her again.

The dogs absolutely loved having Jolene look after them for two nights! They got so many cuddles and loads of play time. They were sad when we got home. Thanks Jolene for taking so much good care of them!

This was our first time using Rover and we were very impressed with the service. We met Jolene and her partner prior to leaving Lola with her so we felt comfortable handing her over for a few hours when we went out. She updated us throughout the night with messages and photos of Lola. This gave us comfort to know that she was doing ok and enjoying herself. I would highly recommend Jolene!
