About: I've had my own dogs since I was 14, so caring for them has been a big part of my life. Over the years, I've gained hands on experience with dogs of different ages, including recently born puppies and their mum, so I'm confident caring for very young dogs as well as adult dogs. I'm patient, reliable, and always make sure each dog feels safe, comfortable, and well looked after. I understand that every dog has their own personality and routine, and I'm happy to adapt my care to suit their individual needs. Whether it's keeping an energetic puppy entertained, sticking to feeding schedules, or giving older dogs the extra attention they need, I'll treat every pet as if they were my own. I have finished university so I’m free most of the time , check my calendar to see when I’m available. I keep my calendar up to date I will always communicate with the owner , I will ask if there are any boundaries with their dog/ anything there dog has a negative relationship with. The animals safety is my number one priority
“Lovely girl. Great job in looking after my two dogs. Came home to a very calm quiet household. Amazing job for the first time looking after my two bull breeds. Already booked another date x”

“Georgia is amazing, she took great care of our two daschund girls! It was our first time using the Rover app or any dog/house sitting service and Georgia made it nice and easy. She kept us updated with videos and photos of our girls who definitely enjoyed her company. We will definitely be using Georgia again in the future and recommend her to everyone. Thank you!”

About: I’ve had dogs all of my life from staffies to Yorkshire terriers and my current dogs are two boarder collies so if you have your dogs stay with us they won’t be short of walks 😊 I do currently work part time and finish work most days at 4pm and usually can swap my days off in the week so I can fit around you. I have a very long fenced garden with a grass area and a very cool house perfect for summer dogs are allowed on my sofa so they can get nice and comfy we have pleantly of toys to play with aswell if you have your dogs stop over with me I can separate them from mine overnight with mine upstairs or vice versa
About: I always wanted dogs growing up, and have often cared for friends’ pets when needed, and when I moved to Whiston I finally got the chance to have one full time - my ex-partner’s family dog needed to move, and we took him in. As we’re no longer together I don’t have him any more, and I would love to be able to give the care and attention to pets who need a home from home. I’m comfortable administering mediation (the dog mentioned took 4 different tablets, twice a day) and promise to always provide them with as many walks, playtime and treats as they want (treats within moderation obviously)! My work is hybrid so I’m able to be at home a lot, and I would never commit to taking in a pet if there was a chance I couldn’t be at home with them all the time. When working from home I can be flexible to ensure I can match your pets normal routine as closely as possible. They’ll also provide me with the perfect distraction to procrastinate! Although the back garden is unfenced, I would never leave your pet there unsupervised. I do have a fenced and gated front driveway. I would stick to your usual routine as closely as possible - pets are allowed wherever they are comfiest in my house, so they’d have full and complete roam of the house to make sure they found their most comfy spot! I’ll send photos and updates every day to let you know how they’re doing and what we’ve been up to for your peace of mind!

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life. I grew up with dogs and a cat and have many years of experience caring for pets in a home environment. I cared for my family dog until he passed away at an old age, and I also owned and cared for my own dog, who sadly passed away too. These experiences taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and adapting to each pet’s individual needs. I know how much pets mean to their families, and I aim to provide the same level of care and attention that I’d want for my own. I am experienced in training a dog. I work from home Monday to Friday 9-5 and have every other Friday off of work available to care for pets as well as at weekends. I am free most evenings also. I have experience with crate training from having my own dogs. I personally have a secure garden. I value the importance of keeping a pets routine and helping them to feel comfortable. I am happy to provide updates and photos to owners so you know your pets are happy
“What a great lady. Stacey came out to meet Willow a few days before sitting for us, and they instantly bonded. We hadnt used a dog sitter before, but she instantly put us at ease. On the day, she arrived early, and again Willow went straight to her, very happy to see her. Stacey took Willow on numerous walks throughout the day, and sent us loads of photos and updates throughout. We would not hesitate in recommending her for anyone, and will definately use her again the next time we need a sitter.”

About: NHS Chemotherapy Nurse | 🌿 Cinnamon Trust Volunteer | Vegetarian🌱 | 🩵 Lifelong Animal Lover * 🐾 Experienced with rescue, elderly, reactive & medical-needs pets | 🏡 Trusted house & pet sitter with references. Hello, I’m Sammie, it’s lovely to meet you and thank you for taking the time to visit my profile! If you ask the people who know me best what I’m most passionate about, the answer will always be the same…animals! For as long as I can remember, animals have been my greatest source of happiness, comfort and purpose. To me, they are family, and I believe every pet deserves to be treated with love, patience, kindness and respect. My experience🐾 I have been around animals all my life. I currently have four indoor rescue cats, all raised from kittens, and two dogs with very different needs. One of my dogs is elderly with arthritis, so I’m experienced in administering medication, adapting walks and monitoring his comfort. My other dog is reactive and anxious, giving me first-hand experience of building trust with nervous dogs through patience, routine and understanding. I’ve also cared for smaller pets including guinea pigs, hamsters and gerbils. As the owner of four indoor cats, I’m especially mindful of keeping doors, windows and escape routes secure, understanding the extra vigilance indoor cats require. Trusted Pet & House Sitter🏡 I’m incredibly proud and grateful that colleagues regularly ask me to care for both their pets and their homes because they know they’ll be safe, loved and well looked after. On multiple occasions, I have pet and house sat for my colleague’s Bullmastiff, Tyga. By the end of his sits, Tyga had formed a wonderful bond with me and had settled beautifully with me in his home, and my colleague fed back that she was delighted with the care I provided for both Tyga and her home. I’m also booked to care for another colleague’s two rescue cats later this year, and references are available. Tailored Care for Every Pet🦮 Every pet is different, and I believe their care should reflect that. I never expect an animal to adapt to me, I adapt to them and their needs. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, enrichment and adventure or simply prefers quiet companionship and affection, I’ll adapt my care to suit their individual personality and routine. As your sitter, it is important for me to understand your pets habits, medical needs, favourite activities and anything else that helps them feel safe, relaxed and happy. Experienced and comfortable with the following: ✔ Medication administration ✔ Elderly pets ✔ Puppies & kittens ✔ Rescue animals ✔ Reactive & anxious dogs ✔ Multiple pets & different routines ✔ Monitoring health and wellbeing I’ll also familiarise myself with your preferred veterinary practice before every booking. 🌿 Cinnamon Trust I’m proud to volunteer with The Cinnamon Trust, supporting elderly and terminally ill people by helping care for the pets they love. It’s a role that reflects my passion for animal welfare and helping others. As a hobby, and whilst I am no professional, I thoroughly enjoy capturing pictures of animals and pets! If your pet is willing to pose (or not!), you are welcome to receive a few professional-looking photos alongside your regular updates! 📸🐾 Trusted home care🧺 My aim is to fit seamlessly into your home without disrupting it, treating it with exactly the same care and respect that I would my own. I’m a non-smoker, non-drinker, DBS checked, extremely clean, tidy and respectful. I’m also happy to water plants, collect post, put bins out and help with general household upkeep. Keeping You Updated and communication📞📷 I’ll happily send regular photos, videos and updates throughout your time away, giving you peace of mind that your pets are happy, settled and receiving lots of love and attention. I’ll care for your pets with the same love, patience and dedication that I give my own, so you can enjoy your time away knowing they’ll be safe, happy and genuinely cared for. I’m an NHS chemotherapy nurse working part-time, primarily on Mondays and Fridays from 8am to 6pm. Working part-time gives me the flexibility to provide reliable, attentive and personalised care around my shifts. I carefully manage my diary and only accept bookings when I know I can dedicate the time, care and attention your pet deserves. When caring for your pet, their routine becomes my priority. Whether that’s early morning walks, administering medication, feeding schedules, enrichment, playtime or simply providing companionship, I understand how important consistency is for animals and will always do my best to maintain their normal routine, helping them feel settled, happy and secure while you’re away. As every pet has different needs, I’m always happy to discuss my availability before confirming a booking. While I primarily work Mondays and Fridays, if your pet is comfortable being left for a few hours during those times, I’m more than happy to discuss this on an individual basis. Equally, if your pet requires more constant companionship, we can explore dates that better suit both their needs and my availability. Transparency is very important to me, and I’ll always be honest about my schedule so you can make the best decision for your pet with complete confidence. Weekends, bank holidays and school holidays are also open and free for me to book! Your pet’s safety, happiness and wellbeing will always be my number one priority. Before every booking, I’m happy to arrange a meet-and-greet so I can get to know you, your pets, their routines and any specific needs or preferences. As an NHS nurse, I’m DBS checked, organised, calm under pressure and experienced in recognising subtle changes in wellbeing. I’m comfortable caring for elderly pets, rescue animals, nervous or reactive dogs, administering medication and following detailed care instructions. I’ll familiarise myself with your preferred veterinary practice and emergency contacts before every stay, so I can respond quickly should anything unexpected arise. I treat every home with the utmost respect, leaving it exactly as I found it, and I’m happy to water plants, collect post, put bins out and help with general household upkeep while you’re away. My aim is to provide complete peace of mind, knowing both your beloved pets and your home are in safe, caring and trustworthy hands. Having four indoor rescue cats of my own, I’m acutely aware of the importance of keeping indoor cats safe within their home environment. I’m extremely conscientious about ensuring doors, windows and any other potential escape points are secure before entering or leaving the property. I understand that this level of vigilance provides invaluable peace of mind for owners, and it’s a standard of care I naturally practise every day with my own pets.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Bassetlaw walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bassetlaw choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
