Millicent was fantastic from the first message! She replied to my booking request in a timely manner, which was extra appreciated considering the short notice. Due to this being Freddie’s first night away from home I was quite nervous and Millicent was so kind throughout the whole process, even offering for us to come the day prior for Fred (and myself) to meet her so we both would have a sense of where he would be staying. Throughout his stay I was provided multiple updates with pictures and I can safely say Freddie looked to have an amazing time, receiving plenty of cuddles! I was very nervous as Freddie is a big dog who doesn’t know his own size and strength, but Millicent was absolutely fantastic with him and I trust her completely. Will be my go to petter sitter moving on 💕🐾

About: As a pet owner, it is important to provide your pet with proper care and attention. This includes ensuring they have a balanced diet, regular exercise, and access to fresh water. Grooming, including brushing and bathing, helps keep them clean and healthy. Providing mental stimulation through playtime and toys is important for their well-being. Lastly, showing them love, care, and affection contributes to their happiness. I will tailor their care based on their specific needs. I'm currently working part-time, so I'll have plenty of time to play with your pups! I'm available for boarding on weekends, and weekdays talk to me then we can arrange time. As a pet care provider, safety, trust and the environment are my top priorities when caring for animals in both my home and the pet owner's home. Here are some key aspects of how I look after their well-being: 1. Security: I create a safe environment by pet-proofing my home or a designated area in a pet owner's home. This includes removing any hazardous items, securing electrical wiring, and ensuring there are no harmful plants or substances within reach. 2. Trust: Building trust with animals is essential. I take the time to get to know them, understand their needs and provide them with a calm and nurturing environment. I use positive reinforcement techniques to reinforce good behavior and build a strong bond with it. 3. Environment: I strive to provide animals with a comfortable and stimulating environment. This includes providing comfortable bedding, access to clean water and a designated place to eat. I also provide toys and engage in interactive play to keep them mentally and physically stimulated. 4. Regular exercise: I provide animals with regular exercise tailored to their specific needs. This may include walking, playing and other physical activities to keep them active and healthy. 5. Feeding: I follow the pet owner's instructions regarding feeding schedule and dietary requirements. I ensure that meals are delivered on time and that food is properly stored to maintain freshness and prevent contamination. 6. Hygiene: I maintain good hygiene by regularly cleaning and sanitizing the pet's living area, including its bedding, litter box or other designated area. I also follow personal hygiene rules, e.g. washing my hands before and after contact with animals. 7. Communication: I maintain open and transparent communication with the pet owner. This includes providing updates on your pet's welfare, any concerns or observations, and promptly responding to any questions or requests you may have. Overall, my goal is to provide animals with a safe, comfortable and loving environment, whether that is my home or the pet owner's home. Their well-being is my priority and I make every effort to ensure that they are happy and healthy while in my care.

Paul was amazing looking after our year old Golden Retriever Teddy. He had a lovely safe garden with security cameras for Teddy and his own two gorgeous dogs who Teddy was able to spend his week playing with! Teddy had lovely walks and cuddles and I wouldn’t hesitate to use Paul and his Family again, or recommend to anyone worried about leaving their dog..

Julie (and her family) took great care of our dog for 5 days. He was settled and happy when we returned and I’d go as far as to say he appears to be missing them!! Regular updates, daily. Lots of walks. He even slept on her bed (which he’s used to doing) so all in all - look no further than Julie! A+

About: Iv taken care of dogs from a very young age. Iv always had a dog around me throughout my life. When I was younger I used to take my dogs and my neighbours dogs for their daily walks. I have trained my family dogs the basic skills for example being house trained, sit and stay. I currently have an eight month old show cocker who is very loyal, loving and playful to which I treat her as my child and hope to be able to give the same love and attention to yours. I’m home everyday all day and my partner works from home also. I walk Bella (our pouch) at least half an hour a day. Your fur baby will be highly looked after and will rarely be left alone for long periods. I have a fenced off large garden for your beloved dog to run around and toilet. Our home is big enough to host up to four dogs at a time. Your fur baby will be walked daily and fed upon the instructions given by the owner. I’m a highly trustworthy person. I have previously worked in the police, Immigration as well as care. I have a DBS also to prove that I do not have a criminal record.

Booked with hayley last minute and she did everything she can to make Bruce feel welcome including a meet and greet. Bruce loves his stay, expressed how it was his first time being away from home and how he can be nervous. Bruce settled with hayley well and quickly and looked very happy in all photos. Hayley sent messages and photos of Bruce enjoying his stay throughout the period. Definitely recommend and will book with you again. Thank you for watching Bruce and making him feel safe and settled.

About: Hi, we’re Toby & Chloe. We have taken care of dogs beforehand and Chloe has had dogs all of her childhood, we have a very large garden with plenty of space to run around and a very friendly family! Chloe is always around on weekends, so it's two carers for the price of one. We work through the week and are happy to have dogs over the weekend. We are a very loving couple who want dogs in the future but don't have a stable schedule yet through the week. We love walking them and enjoy sharing our weekends with furry friends! Our home is surrounded by walls and gates so is safe for dogs to run and play freely, we have a very large garden and there is a quarry to walk to and let them off their lead nearby. We are always around on weekends so can make our schedule to suit if we have a furry friend or not.

We are so happy we chose Anitha to look after Yumi for us for 5days. We have never left her before, and wanted her to stay in a loving home. Anitha and Raj certainly provided that, along with thier 2 fluffy boys oreo and teddy 🥰. They provided regular updates with photos and videos, wich was very reassuring for us. Yumi was having so much fun, we stopped worry about if she was OK, and instead we wondered if we would get her home 🤣. We can't thank them enough and we will definitely be using Anitha again for any future trips. And possible play dates.

About: *Please note I am currently unavailable throughout July due to work commitments. I will be available again from August and able to respond to any future requests from then - best wishes* I’m a new member here at Rover.com but I’m certainly not new to pet sitting or providing care to a variety of animals. I’ve been an animal-lover since childhood and am capable of providing a professional service so you can rest assured that existing care, routines and training are adhered to when you are not able to be with your pet due to holidays or work commitments. I have experience in both pet sitting and house sitting; caring for animals ranging from dogs, cats, horses, exotic birds, rabbits, sheep, cattle, chickens, goats and pigs. I love to meet and care for animals of all types and I am flexible and adaptable to treat your pet in the way they need, meeting the individual requirements of your furry-friend. I hold an NVQ Level 2 in Horse Care and have previous experience of working with nervous pets. I currently work from home and for the first time in my life; have found myself with no pets at home, leaving my commitments free to care for your pet. I can be flexible to fit around your schedule/requirements and often can be available to step-in if animal care is needed last minute. Please contact me, I am happy to help and get a booking arranged. I am flexible and adaptable to provide individual care for every animal. Please contact me about any requirements your pet may have, animal care will be tailored to the needs of your pet. I am very happy to continue light training, if this is something you are working on with your pet. When house-sitting I can provide basic homecare tasks e.g. plant-watering and being at the address to receive deliveries and during my stay I will upkeep the standards of your home. I understand it can be difficult to leave your pet when you have to be separated – previously I have provided photo and text updates and video calls to pet owners to ease this situation and bring comfort, feel free to ask if you would like this to be provided. Meet & Greets can then be arranged prior to your booking, so I can understand your companion’s needs and giving opportunity to go over care instructions - so you can relax when you’re away.

About: With a lifetime of experience caring for animals, I bring a deep passion and understanding to every pet I look after. At 57, I’ve had animals in my life for as long as I can remember—dogs, cats, horses, chickens, hamsters, reptiles, and even koi and tropical fish. For the past year, I’ve worked professionally as a trusted pet and house sitter, earning consistent 5-star reviews for my reliable and loving care. Whether it’s daily walks, feeding, or simply providing companionship, I treat every pet as if they were my own Having had careers in the Police, prison service, and currently working as a yoga teacher, hopefully demonstrates that I am a trustworthy and reliable person that I am . I currently work part time at home online, so I can easily fit this around your schedule. If I’m boarding at home then they will have company pretty much all the time. I have a secure large garden and a car to take your pet outdoors for lovely long walks. Likewise I can travel to your home to care for your pets in their own environment.

Rhianne was kind enough to agree to look after my three pups for two days and they had a great time…so much so that they were a more than a little bit reluctant to come home with me when I collected them. Clear to me that she really cares and gives any dogs she looks after loads of attention including plenty of cuddles. Would definitely recommend and my dogs will definitely be visiting her again in the future.

Xiao did an amazing job looking after our 3 months old Yorkie. It was our puppy’s first time interacting with other fluffy friends, and Xiao handled everything with great care and professionalism, helping her settle in and adapt comfortably. She kept us updated throughout the entire stay, which gave us so much peace of mind. We’re incredibly grateful for her support and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive, and experienced sitter - especially for young puppies.

About: I absolutely love animals and dogs in particular. I grew up with a beautiful black Labrador and I have so many lovely memories of him. Dogs are an important part of a family and I would love to take care of your precious pet when you need someone to trust. I provide natural dog treats for your dogs arrival and outdoor space to play with balls etc 🐶🐾🐕 your dog will have lots of love and fun with us so you can leave them with no worries at all. I have lots of experience with nervous dogs and know the perfect route to walk them near me that has little to no dogs around. We do not own any animals apart from our tortoise Scaley who lives in a cage in the kitchen 🥰 I have my own business and work from home most of the day so it will be no problem to incorporate a lovely dog into my daily routine. I have plenty of time and love to give and it would be an honor to have your doggy in my home. I have a garden which is unfenced down the side but I will be able to take dogs to the park for a run around and for walks in more secluded areas for nervous dogs. I have a large kitchen area that can be the perfect place for crates or dog beds and the dogs are welcome in the living room too. We are also happy for dogs to sleep in our bedroom if they prefer. We are flexible and will try our hardest to accommodate your needs.

About: Hey, I'm Hannah , and I'm passionate about caring for animals! I've grown up around pets my whole life, including dogs, cats, and even goats, thanks to my dad. While I’m just starting out as a dog walker and pet sitter, I’ve learned a lot about responsibility, patience, and how to keep animals happy and healthy. I’m reliable, enthusiastic, and excited to give your pets the love and attention they deserve while you’re away or just need to get nose deep in some work or self-care. As for cats, I grew up with a family cat who had kittens, and I’ve helped care for my friend’s cats (and dog) while she was on holiday. My aunt has two cats, and my girlfriend has a cheeky ginger cat who loves Dreamies (and always begs for more!). While I’m just getting started professionally, I have plenty of hands-on experience from growing up with animals. I’m reliable, patient, and happy to care for your feline friends, making sure they’re safe, comfortable, and loved. Let me know how I can help care for your furry friends! I'm a bit of a night owl, so don't worry if you have late or odd hours. I'm happy to fit you in whenever possible. I will make sure I familiarise myself with the layout of the house and where all important items are, will photos frequently of your pet(s).

About: From the age of 3 I have had Guinea Pigs up until the last couple of years. I fed, watered, health checked and cleaned them out regularly. Since 14 I have been helping the neighbours care for their dogs from puppies to senior. These roles include feeding, ensuring they always have clean water, are healthy and safe before I leave and I always feed back anything I have noticed on a walk. Over the past 4 to 5 years I have walked dogs including several Labrador Retrievers and Cocker Spaniels, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross, a Jack Russel Terrier, a Poodle, a Goldendoodle and White West Highland Terriers. I allow the dogs to walk at their speed especially as they get older and only take them on walks suitable to their health. I always try to learn about the dog before to be able to form a bond. I was dog training pre-COVID from puppy ages right up to the Gold Kennel Club Award. I did this for about 3 1/2 years. If you were training your animal then I would be happy to help from implementing this inside the home to when walking outside. I will use equipment give to work with the dog as long as it is safe. I will not use pinch collars or e-collars and any slip leads used will be on older dogs. I groom dogs when I am back at home. I have been training and working since the end of the first lockdown in 2020. I work safely when with the pets and when talking to the owners ensuring that I give any necessary feedback. If your dog has a longer coat then regular brushing helps ensure that the coat remains matt free. Matting is likely to build up in places such as legs but wearing a harness can also lead to quicker developing matts in a dogs' chest, belly and behind their front legs. If needed I can groom your dog as long as you have suitable equipment however I will not remove any matting if it may cause your dog harm or distress. I worked in kennels and a cattery for work experience whilst doing my Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management and I also did a Level 2 Dog Walking course alongside in my second year. In this time I learnt more about how to safely work with the animals who are in an enclosed space which often they are not used to or having someone enter their personal bubble. I worked efficiently but ensuring I maintained the safety of the animal I was working with to protect both them and myself. I have finished my BSc Canine Training and Performance. I have worked at rescues, groomers, kennels and in a training group since I started and have loved my jobs. I trained a puppy for my mum who has successfully gone into therapy work and was present for miltiple assessments for Pets As Therapy I do boarding from your home which helps ensure your pets to be as least stressed as possible. I understand letting a new person into your home can be stressful and worrisome so I ensure all clients I work with have had a meet and greet so everyone is put to ease and I’m available to contact you whenever you would like to help out your mind at rest while you are away. You are more than welcome to ask for updates or information at any time and I shall respond as soon as I have got the message

Zoe was an absolute godsend when my mum couldn't look after my mini dash this week. She was an absolute star. I left a house key for her to let herself in and Millie took to her straight away! From all the lovely photos we got on her walks, I think Millie had an absolute blast, but Zoe is such a lovely person I'd actually book her again just to hang out 😂 such a lovely person, and you can tell that she absolutely loves animals. Her attention to detail is unmatched. Zoe changed the puppy pad without asking and left a beautiful note and gift for Millie and I. It sounds weird but I'm sad that my mum will be back to look after Millie when I'm back at work as I genuinely think Zoe won us over. I would definitely book Zoe again if she'll have us, when my mum is away again. ❤️

About: I have owned a miniature dachshund for 3 years who has regular walks as well as mental stimulation such as sniffer mats, trick training and licki-mats. I will never give treats unless owner specifically tells me that it is okay and will always ask about allergies. If your pet is comfortable with being brushed I'm also happy to do grooming to help keep on top of their coat condition. I like working with young dogs, but I will never so no to an older pet who just wants to cuddle on the sofa. I'm new to sitting for others and my experience is simply caring for my own dog. About: Ever since I was old enough to look after our family pets I have loved doing so. Growing up I was mainly surrounded by terriers with some exposure to working collies. At the age of 23 I got my own dog, a German Pointer who I have cared and trained solely for. Weekends and evenings are going to be most suitable at the start of the new year but over the Christmas period I have more flexibility to work around your needs. I will care for your pet as you see fit and ensure to cause as little change to their routine as possible to avoid any unnecessary stress

About: I have an extended diploma in animal management so have a very good understanding of animal behaviour and animals needs. I also have offered pet sitting and walking services locally on and off for years and I am looking for new clients. I currently run my own business from home so have plenty of free time to keep your pets company or go out and about on walks. I have a fenced and secure yard as well as having two very friendly calm dogs to keep your dog company. I have a large crate that can be used if preferred. If your dog is used to being on the bed they are more than welcome here too, I want to make it as comfortable and homely as possible.

About: I have grown up with a variety of animals my entire life, all varying in ages and sizes. I currently provide pet sitting and walking in addition to my current full time job for friends and family. This includes looking after my sister’s 11 month old puppy and training where possible. I am currently working full time Monday to Friday in a college. With my weekends free, I work from home on Mondays and Fridays which allow me to pet sit on these days, I can do overnight stays so long as I don’t have an event. With my job I sometimes do overtime which allows me to book off additional days for pet sitting should I need to. I prefer looking after pets in the pet owners home as I believe pets deserve to feel at home and safe, what safer space is there for them than a space they live in. I will provide the upmost care and respect in your home, I am also DBS checked

About: I have taken care of friends and families, neighbours pets for them whilst they are away, or at work. I have a dog of my own and had him since being a puppy and would love to help others out with looking after their pet whilst they are away or at work and unable to. I’m currently studying so I have a lot of free time as well for something I enjoy doing. I am free most days and can also do last minute requests. I have a fenced garden at my house and it’s a rather big open plan home so they would have plenty of space to play and roam around. I am able to adapt and change things if necessary to make you feel more comfortable and confident in looking after your fur baby

About: I’ve owned cats and dogs my entire life. Recently my dog passed away so looking forward to spending time around dogs as I miss him. I’m used to the frequent need to potty and the constant need for attention. I own a ginger nutty cat Hercules and 2 rescue kittens who are high energy and love dogs. I am a nurse however I will only put my availability for my days off so I can provide all my attention to your animals. Also on my days off my husband is around mostly to help with any boarding of dogs/cats. If I’m marked as unavailable please feel free to message me about boarding or house sitting as depending on your pets needs I may be able to help still. I have cats to keep your fur baby company and i have a gated garden that I can use for fun that would be supervised at all times.

I have trained my family dogs the basic skills for example being house trained, sit and stay.

I needed to find a new sitter for my little dog as my usual lady is retiring this year. He stayed with Daria yesterday and overnight as a trial and he settled in lovely. I had no worries that he was being well cared for during his stay and got regular updates and videos which was very comforting. I am about to re book for some later dates. 🙂

We don't get the opportunity to leave Brodie often as he's quite a strong dog to walk and also has some health needs, so takes a number of medications. Adam is so calm I think this, rubs off we collected a happy calm dog after a couple of days a way for a family wedding. Lots of videos, photos and updates throughout his stay which does put your mind at rest. Would feel very confident and happy to leave Brodie with Adam again . Thank you 😊

We booked Justine and Matt for three weeks to look after our 10y old border collie Riley. I was so nervous to leave Riley for so long but from our initial meeting I knew Riley was in the best, most capable of hands. He had an amazing stay, he was super spoilt and was treated to secure playing fields, long walks and lots of love. The videos sent to me whilst away bought tears to my eyes, he was running around like an energetic puppy, enjoying his best life. He really didn’t want to come back home. Justine and Matt opened up their home and Riley was free to make himself at home, he really enjoyed taking over your space especially your spare room! I really can’t thank you both enough, you really are a rare find and I’ll always be so grateful for the time, effort and love you gave to Riley. He misses you both already, and I look forward to booking him in with you again. 100% Riley’s paw stamp of approval.

Alison is a lovely lady who clearly adores animals. My boy has bad separation anxiety so I was worried about leaving him overnight and away from home. After our initial meet Enzo went to stay with Alison for a few hours a handful of times to get him used to being somewhere new and with someone new. He was totally happy and relaxed with her on his smaller visits and while I was away. Alison was so accommodating and helpful and we will continue to use her services in the future.

About: We have both grown up being surrounded by pets, especially cats and dogs since we was little. We have the perfect setting for all your pets needs and it would truly be a home from home setting. We offer a family service and setting. I work 3 shifts per week and Greta works part time. There is always at least one of us at home so can offer our services 24 hours per day,7 days per week. We have a large house and a lovely secure and fenced garden and we are located right next to a nature reserve which is perfect for lovely long dog walks. About: As a lifelong pet owner myself, I know how important it is to leave your pet with someone you trust. I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for while you’re away. Whether your pet loves adventures, playtime, cuddles on the sofa, or simply sticking to their usual routine, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable and at home. 🐾❤️ _________________ Important: As I have my own dog, I can only accept dogs that are friendly and comfortable around other dogs. For the safety and wellbeing of all pets in my care, dogs must be neutered/spayed. I also require a meet and greet before any booking to ensure the dogs are comfortable with each other and that your pet will be happy, relaxed, and safe in my home. I also have a 17-year-old cat, Tiger. During dog boarding, she will be kept in a separate part of the house that guest dogs do not have access to. This ensures her safety and wellbeing, while also providing a calm and comfortable environment for any dogs staying with me. I carefully manage introductions and household spaces so that all animals in my care can feel safe, relaxed, and secure. I live with my dog, Simba, and my 17-year-old cat, Tiger, so my routine naturally revolves around caring for them, including walks, feeding, playtime, enrichment, grooming, and making sure they are happy and comfortable. I work four days a week, and my pet-sitting availability is Friday to Sunday, when I can dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. I’m used to planning my days around animals’ needs and routines, and I understand the importance of consistency, patience, and companionship. As a pet owner myself, I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, and caring for them is something I do because I love it, not just as a service. Your pet will receive plenty of attention, affection, and care while they’re with me. 🐾❤️ When caring for pets in my home, their safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I have a secure, fenced garden for dogs to enjoy supervised outdoor time, and my home is a calm, pet-friendly environment. For added security, I also have CCTV covering the property. I always follow the owner’s instructions regarding feeding, exercise, medication, routines, and any specific requirements. I understand that pets can feel unsettled when away from home, so I do my best to maintain their usual routine and provide plenty of attention, reassurance, and enrichment. I live with my friendly dog, Simba, and my 17-year-old cat, Tiger, so I’m experienced in managing a multi-pet household and recognising individual needs and personalities. When caring for pets in an owner’s home, I treat their home with the same respect and care as I would my own. I’ll ensure pets are fed, exercised, kept company, and cared for according to their normal routine, while also providing updates and photos for peace of mind. 🐾❤️
