We couldn't be happier with the care Ellie and Adis gave our Indie. We were anxious to leave her but Ellie was very professional and reassured us with an initial meet up, where she learned all about Indie's quirks! We had regular updates with photos and videos and it was clear just how happy, confident and safe she felt with them. We are so grateful for such a positive experience.

I could not have asked for a better experience with Megan and her partner after Oynx’s recent stay with them. We were somewhat let down by a friend just before going abroad and what would usually be a mad panic was completely resolved by Megan putting us fully at ease. She offered to do a meet and greet before the date to make sure she and her Bella were the right fit, proving she actually cares about your dogs welfare. While away we received frequent updates and pictures which kept me at ease, and since Onyx is a bigger somewhat complicated breed I always have worries leaving him with people but honestly he had a better time with her than I’ve ever known him have. All in all I can’t recommend Megan enough, and I will be 100% be using her again, thank you so much.

Millie was absolutely amazing from start to finish. She replied to all my messages quickly, and was very thorough to make sure that Maggie's routine wasn't too disrupted and her stay was as comfortable as possible. She was very reassuring of my worries about leaving a crazy puppy with someone new for her first night away from home, and even met up with us beforehand so that Maggie could meet her and see the house before she went to stay overnight. She sent regular updates and pictures throughout the stay, and I could see that she was really settled and having a great time getting lots of walks love and attention! I would definitely recommend Millie, and Mags can't wait until I next go away so that she can go and visit her new best friend❤️

We couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter! From the moment we left, we felt completely at ease knowing our boys were being cared for as part of the family, not just looked after. We received regular updates with lots of photos and videos, which really meant the world to us while we were away—it was clear they were happy, relaxed, and enjoying themselves. It’s so reassuring to see your pets thriving in someone else’s care. When we came home, the boys were content, well cared for, and their usual happy selves, which says everything. It’s such a relief to have someone we trust so completely. We would absolutely recommend Julie to anyone looking for loving, reliable care for their pets. Thank you again for taking such wonderful care of our boys!

About: As a pet owner, it is important to provide your pet with proper care and attention. This includes ensuring they have a balanced diet, regular exercise, and access to fresh water. Grooming, including brushing and bathing, helps keep them clean and healthy. Providing mental stimulation through playtime and toys is important for their well-being. Lastly, showing them love, care, and affection contributes to their happiness. I will tailor their care based on their specific needs. I'm currently working part-time, so I'll have plenty of time to play with your pups! I'm available for boarding on weekends, and weekdays talk to me then we can arrange time. As a pet care provider, safety, trust and the environment are my top priorities when caring for animals in both my home and the pet owner's home. Here are some key aspects of how I look after their well-being: 1. Security: I create a safe environment by pet-proofing my home or a designated area in a pet owner's home. This includes removing any hazardous items, securing electrical wiring, and ensuring there are no harmful plants or substances within reach. 2. Trust: Building trust with animals is essential. I take the time to get to know them, understand their needs and provide them with a calm and nurturing environment. I use positive reinforcement techniques to reinforce good behavior and build a strong bond with it. 3. Environment: I strive to provide animals with a comfortable and stimulating environment. This includes providing comfortable bedding, access to clean water and a designated place to eat. I also provide toys and engage in interactive play to keep them mentally and physically stimulated. 4. Regular exercise: I provide animals with regular exercise tailored to their specific needs. This may include walking, playing and other physical activities to keep them active and healthy. 5. Feeding: I follow the pet owner's instructions regarding feeding schedule and dietary requirements. I ensure that meals are delivered on time and that food is properly stored to maintain freshness and prevent contamination. 6. Hygiene: I maintain good hygiene by regularly cleaning and sanitizing the pet's living area, including its bedding, litter box or other designated area. I also follow personal hygiene rules, e.g. washing my hands before and after contact with animals. 7. Communication: I maintain open and transparent communication with the pet owner. This includes providing updates on your pet's welfare, any concerns or observations, and promptly responding to any questions or requests you may have. Overall, my goal is to provide animals with a safe, comfortable and loving environment, whether that is my home or the pet owner's home. Their well-being is my priority and I make every effort to ensure that they are happy and healthy while in my care.

About: Lifelong Dog Owner Dogs have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. Being a lifelong dog owner has given me years of hands-on experience caring for dogs with different personalities, needs and behaviours. I understand that every dog is an individual, and I believe patience, consistency, kindness and understanding are at the heart of responsible dog ownership. Experienced Dog Foster Parent My experience as a foster parent has allowed me to care for dogs who have needed additional support, reassurance and stability while preparing for the next chapter of their lives. Fostering has helped me develop a deeper understanding of how dogs can respond differently to new environments and experiences. I have learned the importance of allowing a dog to progress at their own pace, building trust gradually and providing a calm, safe and supportive environment. One of the most rewarding aspects of fostering has been watching dogs grow in confidence and helping them become ready for their forever homes. Animal Charity Committee Member My involvement as an animal charity committee member has given me experience beyond my own dogs and foster care. It has allowed me to contribute to the wider welfare of animals and support the important work carried out by charities and volunteers. Being involved at committee level has also given me an appreciation of the organisation, commitment and teamwork required behind the scenes to support animal welfare, fundraising, awareness and responsible pet ownership. Dog Boutique Owner As the owner of a specialist dog boutique, my passion for dogs is also part of my everyday working life. Meeting dogs and their owners regularly has broadened my experience considerably. I enjoy getting to know individual dogs, understanding what their owners are looking for and helping them choose products that are appropriate for their dog's lifestyle and needs. My aim is to create an environment where both dogs and their humans feel welcome, comfortable and valued. My Approach to Dogs My experience as an owner, foster parent, charity committee member and business owner has taught me that there is never a one-size-fits-all approach to dogs. Every dog has their own personality, history, preferences and way of communicating. I believe in taking the time to understand the individual dog, treating them with kindness and respect, and always putting their welfare first. For me, working with dogs isn't simply an interest — they have been a constant part of my life, and that lifetime of experience continues to shape everything I do today. Looking after your dog would be a structured but flexible part of my day. I would plan morning and evening walks around my existing schedule, making sure your dog is fed, exercised, and given attention at consistent times. Short check-ins during the day would help maintain routine and comfort for the dog, while also fitting around my work or personal commitments. My dogs are very much part of the family, and their happiness, health and wellbeing are at the centre of their daily routine. They have a safe, comfortable and loving home environment where they receive plenty of attention, companionship and affection. I believe dogs thrive when they feel secure and have a consistent routine, so their days include regular feeding, exercise, enrichment, play, rest and quality time with us. Exercise & Enrichment My dogs receive regular exercise appropriate to their individual needs, age and energy levels. Alongside walks and physical exercise, I understand the importance of mental stimulation. Enrichment, play, toys, scent-based activities and interaction are all used to keep them engaged and prevent boredom. Feeding & Treats I take a responsible approach to feeding and choose food and treats with my dogs' individual needs in mind. Fresh drinking water is always available, and treats are given appropriately as part of their overall routine. Health & Wellbeing Their health is taken seriously, with regular veterinary care and attention to preventative healthcare, grooming and general wellbeing. I also pay close attention to changes in behaviour, appetite, mobility or general demeanour, as these can sometimes be early indications that a dog isn't feeling quite themselves. Companionship & Individual Care Most importantly, my dogs receive plenty of companionship. I spend time getting to know their individual personalities, preferences and boundaries rather than expecting every dog to behave or respond in the same way. Their routines are adapted when necessary to suit their individual needs. Whether they want to play, explore, have some quiet time or simply settle down nearby, I believe dogs should be able to feel relaxed and secure in their home. The same principles would apply when caring for someone else's dog. I would respect the routine and instructions provided by their owner while making sure their dog receives the same level of patience, attention, safety and care that I expect for my own.

Xiao did an amazing job looking after our 3 months old Yorkie. It was our puppy’s first time interacting with other fluffy friends, and Xiao handled everything with great care and professionalism, helping her settle in and adapt comfortably. She kept us updated throughout the entire stay, which gave us so much peace of mind. We’re incredibly grateful for her support and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive, and experienced sitter - especially for young puppies.

Rhianne was kind enough to agree to look after my three pups for two days and they had a great time…so much so that they were a more than a little bit reluctant to come home with me when I collected them. Clear to me that she really cares and gives any dogs she looks after loads of attention including plenty of cuddles. Would definitely recommend and my dogs will definitely be visiting her again in the future.

About: I absolutely love animals and dogs in particular. I grew up with a beautiful black Labrador and I have so many lovely memories of him. Dogs are an important part of a family and I would love to take care of your precious pet when you need someone to trust. I provide natural dog treats for your dogs arrival and outdoor space to play with balls etc 🐶🐾🐕 your dog will have lots of love and fun with us so you can leave them with no worries at all. I have lots of experience with nervous dogs and know the perfect route to walk them near me that has little to no dogs around. We do not own any animals apart from our tortoise Scaley who lives in a cage in the kitchen 🥰 I have my own business and work from home most of the day so it will be no problem to incorporate a lovely dog into my daily routine. I have plenty of time and love to give and it would be an honor to have your doggy in my home. I have a garden which is unfenced down the side but I will be able to take dogs to the park for a run around and for walks in more secluded areas for nervous dogs. I have a large kitchen area that can be the perfect place for crates or dog beds and the dogs are welcome in the living room too. We are also happy for dogs to sleep in our bedroom if they prefer. We are flexible and will try our hardest to accommodate your needs.

About: I've been caring for dogs and cats for as long as I can remember. Growing up with pets has given me a genuine understanding of their different personalities, routines, and individual needs. I've owned a Labrador Retriever and currently have a Working Cocker Spaniel, so I have hands-on experience with both relaxed family dogs and more energetic breeds that require plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. I've also had cats throughout my life, giving me a good understanding of feline behaviour and the importance of providing a calm, safe, and stress-free environment. In addition to caring for my own pets, I've looked after dogs and cats for neighbours, friends, and family, including home visits, feeding, walks, playtime, companionship, and check-ins while owners have been away. I understand that every pet is unique, which is why I take the time to follow each owner's instructions carefully. Whether it's sticking to a specific feeding schedule, administering medication orally(if required), maintaining exercise routines, or simply providing plenty of love, attention and reassurance; I tailor my care to ensure your pet feels comfortable, happy, and well looked after. My goal is to give you complete peace of mind, knowing your pet is being cared for as if they were my own. I am also fully insured for your peace of mind and carry first aid kit either on me or in the car. I have a flexible schedule, which means I'm available for boarding, drop-in visits, and walks throughout the week, including weekends. This allows me to provide plenty of time, attention, and companionship to the pets in my care, while working around their usual routines. Your pet's wellbeing is always my top priority. This includes feeding schedules, exercise, playtime, medication (where needed), and any special requirements to help them feel comfortable and settled. During warmer weather, I also take extra precautions to keep dogs safe. If temperatures exceed 22°C, I won't take dogs out for walks, as heat can be dangerous. Instead, I'll provide indoor enrichment, play, and plenty of attention, along with access to fresh water and regular comfort breaks in a safe, shaded area where appropriate. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are my highest priorities. I provide a calm, loving, and secure home where pets can relax and feel part of the family while you're away. I live in a house with a large, fully fenced garden, giving dogs a safe outdoor space to play, explore, and enjoy regular toilet breaks. Inside, they'll have plenty of companionship, attention, and a comfortable environment to settle into. I also have a 5-month-old female Working Cocker Spaniel who is friendly, playful, and enjoys the company of other dogs. She has a gentle nature and is also comfortable around cats. I always introduce pets carefully and supervise interactions to ensure everyone feels safe and at ease. I understand that every pet is different, so I'll always follow your instructions regarding routines, boundaries, feeding, exercise, and any special requirements. My aim is to provide the same level of care, patience, and affection that I'd want for my own pet, so you can enjoy complete peace of mind while you're away.

About: I’ve had family dogs all of my life, and my own dogs for the last 15 years or so. I often look after dogs of family and friends. I currently have a ten year old male patterjack who is good with other dogs and a six year old daughter who loves dogs too. Your dog will be allowed everywhere in the house and can even sleep in bed with me and my dog should they wish. We do an hour long walk in woodland each day and lots of play and attention at home. I work part time from home so your dog will never be left alone for more than 30 minutes. We go walking in the local woodland for an hour each day. Your dog can treat our home like their own. I have a fenced garden but your dog will never be left outside unattended. I have a dog friendly small male dog and a daughter. Your dog will be allowed anywhere in the home. I will only feed your dog with food and treats you provide unless you specify otherwise. They can sleep where they like but I’ll adhere to your required sleeping arrangements for them.

About: I've loved animals for as long as I can remember, especially dogs and cats. I grew up with an Alsatian and, as soon as I moved into my own home at 18, I adopted my first cat. My husband shares my love of animals, and together we have a home full of furry family members! We have two beautiful cats (both aged 5), our wonderful 14-year-old Jack Russell cross, Rocky, who still thinks he's a puppy, and our affectionate 11-month-old Labrador, Sonny. Despite his size, Sonny is incredibly gentle, friendly and loves both people and other animals. I work part-time for the NHS, which has helped me develop responsibility, reliability and a caring nature. When your pet is with us, they'll be treated as part of the family, with plenty of love, attention and care. My husband is home every other week, so there's often someone around to keep your pet company. We also have two children, aged 13 and 10, who have grown up surrounded by animals. They are kind, gentle and respectful around pets and absolutely love helping to care for them. Over the years I've looked after pets for friends and family, and they've often encouraged me to join Rover because they know how much I enjoy caring for animals. Having trained Sonny from a puppy, I'm also happy to reinforce basic training and routines if you'd like me to. I'm also happy to administer medication (oral or topical) if your pet requires it, as long as I'm given clear instructions. I understand that every pet has their own routine, and I'll do everything I can to ensure they feel safe, comfortable and settled while in my care. I know that leaving your pet with someone else can feel daunting, so I'll keep you updated with regular messages, photos and videos, giving you complete peace of mind while you're away. I'd love the opportunity to meet you and your pet. If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to get in touch! Im currently working part time, usually a Tuesday and a Thursday, however my husband is home alot. I often home work also. I can help most days/weekends. Just message me ☺️ I have a very large garden with lots of doggy toys etc! A large fence and wall. My labrador is very safe in my garden. I also have CCTV outside both front and back. If you need me to visit your home I am extremely tidy, clean and responsible. Safety is my main priority for your furry friend.

About: Hi, I'm Luisa! I'm originally from Spain and have been living in England for almost 11 years. Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember, I grew up surrounded by dogs, pigeons, parrots and more, and I currently share my home with a 10 year old cat. EXPERIENCE: I have taken care of animals from friends and family, mostly dogs, cats and rodents, but I have accrued 3 years of experience as a professional dog sitter. After stepping away for a while to focus on other jobs as a chef, sales assistant and marketing executive, I'm now back to pet sitting while I study towards a career in Psychology (for humans), although, my interest in behaviour and wellbeing also extends to animals. DOGS: I'm a dedicated self-learner. During the time I wasn't actively working as a sitter, I kept studying canine behaviour, following professionals who stay up to date with current research and apply it through positive reinforcement, a training and care approach based on rewarding good behaviour rather than punishing unwanted behaviour. I'm not a dog trainer, but this knowledge allows me to understand much better dogs' body language. About: From the age of 3 I have had Guinea Pigs up until the last couple of years. I fed, watered, health checked and cleaned them out regularly. Since 14 I have been helping the neighbours care for their dogs from puppies to senior. These roles include feeding, ensuring they always have clean water, are healthy and safe before I leave and I always feed back anything I have noticed on a walk. Over the past 4 to 5 years I have walked dogs including several Labrador Retrievers and Cocker Spaniels, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross, a Jack Russel Terrier, a Poodle, a Goldendoodle and White West Highland Terriers. I allow the dogs to walk at their speed especially as they get older and only take them on walks suitable to their health. I always try to learn about the dog before to be able to form a bond. I was dog training pre-COVID from puppy ages right up to the Gold Kennel Club Award. I did this for about 3 1/2 years. If you were training your animal then I would be happy to help from implementing this inside the home to when walking outside. I will use equipment give to work with the dog as long as it is safe. I will not use pinch collars or e-collars and any slip leads used will be on older dogs. I groom dogs when I am back at home. I have been training and working since the end of the first lockdown in 2020. I work safely when with the pets and when talking to the owners ensuring that I give any necessary feedback. If your dog has a longer coat then regular brushing helps ensure that the coat remains matt free. Matting is likely to build up in places such as legs but wearing a harness can also lead to quicker developing matts in a dogs' chest, belly and behind their front legs. If needed I can groom your dog as long as you have suitable equipment however I will not remove any matting if it may cause your dog harm or distress. I worked in kennels and a cattery for work experience whilst doing my Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management and I also did a Level 2 Dog Walking course alongside in my second year. In this time I learnt more about how to safely work with the animals who are in an enclosed space which often they are not used to or having someone enter their personal bubble. I worked efficiently but ensuring I maintained the safety of the animal I was working with to protect both them and myself. I have finished my BSc Canine Training and Performance. I have worked at rescues, groomers, kennels and in a training group since I started and have loved my jobs. I trained a puppy for my mum who has successfully gone into therapy work and was present for miltiple assessments for Pets As Therapy I do boarding from your home which helps ensure your pets to be as least stressed as possible. I understand letting a new person into your home can be stressful and worrisome so I ensure all clients I work with have had a meet and greet so everyone is put to ease and I’m available to contact you whenever you would like to help out your mind at rest while you are away. You are more than welcome to ask for updates or information at any time and I shall respond as soon as I have got the message

About: I have owned a miniature dachshund for 3 years who has regular walks as well as mental stimulation such as sniffer mats, trick training and licki-mats. I will never give treats unless owner specifically tells me that it is okay and will always ask about allergies. If your pet is comfortable with being brushed I'm also happy to do grooming to help keep on top of their coat condition. I like working with young dogs, but I will never so no to an older pet who just wants to cuddle on the sofa. I'm new to sitting for others and my experience is simply caring for my own dog. I can work most days and times as this is my job. I may require some days off due to family commitments, but other than that I am open most days. I will come to your home to care for your pets. I can make sure indoor pets are kept secure and happy and allow outdoor cats freedom. I can walk dogs for 30 minutes, but if you need 60 minute walks I can accommodate. As I'm a single female I don't tend to do night time walks, but this could be arranged once get to know one another.

About: My dog is a rescue from Romania and she's terrified of everything. Me and Nala have came a long way from when I first got her. She's an angel now. I do work from 2 - 6:30 Monday to Friday however I do have a lot of free time and don't mind taking time off to look after your pup! I love taking care of dogs and pups. I have a fenced garden, I have a dog bed and treats. Any type of information helps and I will do my best to provide.

About: I have taken care of friends and families, neighbours pets for them whilst they are away, or at work. I have a dog of my own and had him since being a puppy and would love to help others out with looking after their pet whilst they are away or at work and unable to. I’m currently studying so I have a lot of free time as well for something I enjoy doing. I am free most days and can also do last minute requests. I have a fenced garden at my house and it’s a rather big open plan home so they would have plenty of space to play and roam around. I am able to adapt and change things if necessary to make you feel more comfortable and confident in looking after your fur baby

Well what can I say Alison is AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING 🤩 It took me 2 yrs to find this lovely dog caring lady . My dog Honey has never been left with anyone before as she suffers from separation anxiety and cannot be left alone . Because of this problem it was difficult to find someone who would care for her and be there 24/7 but I eventually found Alison she cared and loved for Honey the same as I do with lots of love and cuddles and she really put my mind at ease so that I could enjoy my holiday with regular updates . 10 🌟

After Sarah agreed to look after Henry. We went to meet her and her husband Bob. Henry took an instant liking to both. We went back for a second meet, Henry ran straight upto them and into the house and made himself at home. I had no doubts what so ever leaving him with Sarah and Bob. Sarah sent photos of Henry, he looked happy and at home. I can't recommend Sarah enough to look after your dog. He will be so well looked after. Will certainly be booking Henry in again. About: What sets me apart as a sitter is not just my experience, but my genuine love and commitment to animal care. Having always had a dog of my own, I understand the unique needs and personalities of each pet. I'm also experienced with cats, and I've looked after the dogs of my friends and family, which has given me exposure to different breeds and temperaments. I’m particularly skilled in providing care for puppies, ensuring they get the attention they need for training and socialization. I also have experience with senior pets, offering the patience and understanding they need in their later years, from administering medication to providing gentle exercise and extra comfort. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, or just some extra cuddles, I’ll make sure your pets feel loved and well taken care of while you’re away. Pet care fits into my daily/ weekly routine as I have plenty of spare time to help and look after your pets! This is because I’m a uni student but with ample time available When caring for pets in a pet owner's home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I follow all feeding schedules, walk times, and any special instructions you provide to ensure your pet feels safe and comfortable in their familiar environment. I also make sure to spend quality time with them—whether that’s playing, cuddling, or simply keeping them company—so they feel loved and not alone while you're away. If I’m caring for pets in my own home, I create a warm, welcoming space that’s clean, safe, and suited to their needs. I maintain their routine as closely as possible and provide plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. Whether it’s making sure a dog gets their favorite toy or a cat has a cozy, quiet spot to relax, I do everything I can to make them feel right at home. In both settings, communication is key—I keep you updated with regular messages and photos so you can feel confident and at ease while your pet is in my care.
