“Kalina has been amazing! We had her look after our cat Lettuce for the weekend whilst away, and usually Lettuce is very shy and will hide when she doesn't know people, will act a bit mad when we come back because we've left her etc. Not only did we get the cutest pics of her being played with, every rover card was so detailed and Kalina even used some method to get Lettuce to warm to her, since she's a pretty timid cat. Lettuce was clearly very happy when we got back and even happy to see us, so we will cross our fingers Kalina has more availability for our other holidays. Thanks so much! :)”

“I can’t recommend Julie enough as a dog sitter! She has been absolutely amazing with my cocker spaniel, Buddy. From the very beginning, it was clear how much she genuinely cares about the dogs she looks after. Buddy warmed to her instantly, and I could tell he felt comfortable and happy in her company. Julie takes him on lovely long walks, making sure he gets all the exercise and stimulation he needs, and she always goes the extra mile to ensure he’s well cared for. I had complete peace of mind knowing he was in such capable and kind hands. It’s clear that Julie not only loves what she does but also understands dogs really well. Buddy came home happy, relaxed, and very well looked after. I feel so lucky to have found her, and I’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

About: My love of pets came during my childhood going into my college years taking care of my Labrador dog 'dragon' and my Tuxedo cat 'Cookie'. I had the honour to feed them, play with them and make sure they spent their lives as happy as they can be. I believe that pet sitting is not just about feeding and walking; it’s about creating an environment where pets feel safe, loved, and at ease. That’s why I always take the time to get to know the pets I care for, understanding their routines, likes, dislikes, and all the little things that make them feel at home. I'm currently working from home. I can work at any location as long as there is a Wifi connection so I can work and take care of your furry pets at the same time! I can't have a pet right now but I hope to again some day :) I'll be available at any day or evening time, weekends can be arranged but I'm usually free. I will always treat your home as my own home - I will keep the owners updated with regular photo/messages and keep the owners connected to their pets

About: I’ve been caring for animals since I was five years old and have experience with hamsters, rabbits, dogs, and cats. I grew up with two Yorkshire Terriers, including one that needed regular medication and wound care due to skin allergies, and another who is now blind, teaching me the importance of patience and understanding a dog’s needs. I also care for my two rescue cats every day and am comfortable around both small and large dogs. I’m currently studying for my Level 2 Animal Care and Welfare qualification while working towards starting my own pet care business. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always aim to provide safe, loving, and reliable care. Family and friends trust me with all their animals and often say it’s what I was born to do. I’m currently a part time worker usually morning shifts 5-9/10 so I have plenty of time in the day Thursday-Monday to look after pets. Tuesdays and Wednesdays I am fully available. My messages are open for discussion. I prefer to visit dogs and cats in their own homes. I’m really looking for dog walking experience. I’m happy to offer a variety of services whilst at visits including simple pet grooming, litter tray cleaning, bringing in bins or post, playing with pets as well as cleaning garden. More on my services available please message me<3
About: I have always had dogs at my family home, starting with a jack russel and whippet from when i was a small child. By the time I had left the family home at 18 we had 2 labradors and a french bulldog. I now own a dachshund, her name is Molly and she is 4 years old! I love to teach my dog lots of tricks and of course spoilt her with treats and cuddles. We have been through all the good and bad stages of walking training so happy to walk any age dog! Some more info on my services/location/times below: Dog Walking: I am able to walk your dog if you live in the hu8/hu9 area of garden village and holderness road, or the HU5/HU6 area of the avenues. This is due to me walking to your location. I currently work at the university and live near holderness road. I am able to walk your dog for 30 minutes or one hour, whichever you prefer. I love walks whatever the weather and find myself to be comfortable with dogs who are well behaved, and ones who are not so (my dachshund barks at every opportunity so I am used to this). I would be most comfortable with walking dogs who stay on the lead at all times. I am fully insured. House drop-in: I would love to help with any home drop ins to provide pets, cuddles, food and toilet breaks for your pet! My hours are very flexible at the moment so please do send a message with your preferred times of walking or house dropping and I would be happy to help if possible! Dog boarding: I have a lovely 4 year old dachshund who I share my home with. Your dog would be most welcome to sleep in their crate, bed or my bed! I usually go to work each day for around 4 hours, but my husband is usually home to offer more frequent toilet breaks if needed! I am currently working hybrid, some days from home and some days from the office. I usually only leave for a few hours at a time thought as my jobs very flexible. I have a fenced back garden which my dog loves to play around in. I have a babygate to stop dogs from running up and down the stairs as my stairs are narrow. I am happy to carry dogs up and down if they want to stay in the bed. As mentioned in my bio - I do have a friendly little dachshund who is able to stay with me during your dogs stay if they are good with other dogs, or I can offer your dog their own space if needed and my dog can stay with family and friends.

About: My family have always had dogs and pets so I have been around animals my whole life. This includes feeding them, walking them, and showering them in love. I also completed work experience in dog grooming so I have interacted with many different dogs with many different personalities and loved them all! I am currently looking for a part time job so I have all the time for your furry friends! I’m fully available for your time preferences. I take my own dog out everyday so if your pet is looking for a walking play date, I can accommodate to that as well as taking your pet for a solo walk. I have a safe fenced garden and a lovely border collie to play with your furry babies! In your own home, I will follow every instruction and boundary you put in place when caring for your animals.
“Thank you Hannah for all your visits so far, my boy has been able to adjust from racing to and a rescue centre to finally his own home. He clearly has bonded with you which is a reflection on your patience, understanding and experience with greyhounds. Hugs and leans from us both xx”

About: I have experience in pet sitting in China, having spent time with six dogs at once. I also have experience taking care of cats in the UK. I enjoy playing and spending time with both cats and dogs. I am currently a student. I have a lot of free time and I have an online part-time job that I do at home. I live in a three-story house and have a separate enclosed yard. There is a platform where pets can play and several trees in the yard.
“Caitlin did a really great job helping us with our cats. Caitlin is very cooperative and responsible sitter who really loves cats! Felts absolutely safe about leaving them at home knowing that Caitlin will figure everything out :)”

About: I really miss dogs and would love to share a new friendship with local doggies 🐶 I love being outside and walking and would love to have an excuse to be out and about, and dog walking is the perfect reason. I work in healthcare, but regular hours and so I'm free on evenings and weekends 😊 I'm always going for walks anyways! I can't have my own pet due to being out of the house too long at any one time, so would love to have quality time with local dogs instead!! I value dog and owner safety first and foremost, but also want dogs to have a fun and enjoyable time. I am always aware of my surroundings and am aware of how to keep dogs safe etc.

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats my entire life. Friends, families and partners have trusted me to walk, feed, clean up after, play with and look over their pets. I have even done partial training with some dogs too! I love a good run around and play time, cuddles and down time are always on board too. I currently have my own cat and i live in a home where i look after their dog whilst working away I work late shifts so i will be available from late morning to early afternoon to drop by or walk your pets for you. Though, I am typically available all of mondays and the odd friday or saturday depending on my schedule I provide reliable drop-in visits and walks tailored to your pet’s routine. I’ll make sure they’re fed, comfortable, exercised, and given plenty of attention while you’re away. If special care is needed please provide me with details and i will adhere to their needs
“Abbie is really lovely, she immediately built a bond with our dog Tank. She has chilled demeanour which really put our dog at ease. She is very flexible and helpful to support Tanks care needs.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
