About: My love of pets came during my childhood going into my college years taking care of my Labrador dog 'dragon' and my Tuxedo cat 'Cookie'. I had the honour to feed them, play with them and make sure they spent their lives as happy as they can be. I believe that pet sitting is not just about feeding and walking; it’s about creating an environment where pets feel safe, loved, and at ease. That’s why I always take the time to get to know the pets I care for, understanding their routines, likes, dislikes, and all the little things that make them feel at home. I'm currently working from home. I can work at any location as long as there is a Wifi connection so I can work and take care of your furry pets at the same time! I can't have a pet right now but I hope to again some day :) I'll be available at any day or evening time, weekends can be arranged but I'm usually free. I will always treat your home as my own home - I will keep the owners updated with regular photo/messages and keep the owners connected to their pets

Maisie was extremely excellent with my babies ( 3 cats) . My cats are extremely spoiled and are mainly indoor cats ( outside only with supervision). They are also very weary of people, especially my oldest , Olaf who is a big antisocial grump. My two younger cats , Sven and Aurora really adored her and felt comfortable with her. These are some extra things she did that made me feel so comfortable with her and made me love her 1) she always played with my babies, giving them rubs, and even made box castles for them, which the loved! 2) she always tidied their eating area, washed their food bowls and mats and cleaned up any food bits on the floor! 3) she even tidied up my kitchen!!!! Where i kept their packs of dry treats! And always checked their water. 4) I extremely loved that she took lots of pictures of my babies, their food bowls ( before and after she put their food), their litter boxes before and after cleaning ( so i could see their poop), she even changed the litter sand once it got saturated with pee!!! And put in fresh litter! 5) she even cleaned up messes and poop outside the box that Olaf was doing in protest of me not being there . 6) she even asked about Olaf eating, because he was not coming out when she came around ( that really touched me) 7) she was always punctual and efficient 8) She followed all the instructions and went over and beyond) in a great way), i have different types of dry and wet food, with special types for each cat, and she did great! 9) She gave my babies dreamies treats, and won their favour 10) She definitely has a good aura, because my babies really loved her. And best of all, I came back to a clean house, clean litter box and happy well fed babies( Aurora even gor fatter and bigger in my absence!). This is my first time ever using a pet sitter, because I am very protective about my babies and they usually travel with me.. but i must say, Maisie was beyond my expectations, and now I know that I will definitely use her again, and I can now travel without having to take my babies with me. I strongly recommend Maisie! ( but make sure you allow her have availability for me when next I need her 😸😺😻… lots of love from me and my babies- Olaf , Sven and Aurora 💛🩵🧡

About: I've loved animals for as long as I can remember, especially dogs and cats. I grew up with an Alsatian and, as soon as I moved into my own home at 18, I adopted my first cat. My husband shares my love of animals, and together we have a home full of furry family members! We have two beautiful cats (both aged 5), our wonderful 14-year-old Jack Russell cross, Rocky, who still thinks he's a puppy, and our affectionate 11-month-old Labrador, Sonny. Despite his size, Sonny is incredibly gentle, friendly and loves both people and other animals. I work part-time for the NHS, which has helped me develop responsibility, reliability and a caring nature. When your pet is with us, they'll be treated as part of the family, with plenty of love, attention and care. My husband is home every other week, so there's often someone around to keep your pet company. We also have two children, aged 13 and 10, who have grown up surrounded by animals. They are kind, gentle and respectful around pets and absolutely love helping to care for them. Over the years I've looked after pets for friends and family, and they've often encouraged me to join Rover because they know how much I enjoy caring for animals. Having trained Sonny from a puppy, I'm also happy to reinforce basic training and routines if you'd like me to. I'm also happy to administer medication (oral or topical) if your pet requires it, as long as I'm given clear instructions. I understand that every pet has their own routine, and I'll do everything I can to ensure they feel safe, comfortable and settled while in my care. I know that leaving your pet with someone else can feel daunting, so I'll keep you updated with regular messages, photos and videos, giving you complete peace of mind while you're away. I'd love the opportunity to meet you and your pet. If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to get in touch! Im currently working part time, usually a Tuesday and a Thursday, however my husband is home alot. I often home work also. I can help most days/weekends. Just message me ☺️ I have a very large garden with lots of doggy toys etc! A large fence and wall. My labrador is very safe in my garden. I also have CCTV outside both front and back. If you need me to visit your home I am extremely tidy, clean and responsible. Safety is my main priority for your furry friend.

I can’t recommend Julie enough as a dog sitter! She has been absolutely amazing with my cocker spaniel, Buddy. From the very beginning, it was clear how much she genuinely cares about the dogs she looks after. Buddy warmed to her instantly, and I could tell he felt comfortable and happy in her company. Julie takes him on lovely long walks, making sure he gets all the exercise and stimulation he needs, and she always goes the extra mile to ensure he’s well cared for. I had complete peace of mind knowing he was in such capable and kind hands. It’s clear that Julie not only loves what she does but also understands dogs really well. Buddy came home happy, relaxed, and very well looked after. I feel so lucky to have found her, and I’ll definitely be booking with her again!

About: I have had pets since a very young age including a cat, dogs and rabbits. I grew up raising a Border Terrier and currently raising a Labrador puppy after moving out. I have learned from my experiences with animals but also invested in professional training for my current dog. Otis loves to play and have doggy friends and have the kindest heart. I am currently working a 9-5 job however, I can do drop in visits and walks on evenings. I am also happy to take care of your pets over the weekends. I have a big fenced garden and a Labrador puppy to keep your pets company. I also have a crate if needed. My home is currently puppy proof as I am very strict on keeping my own pet safe.

About: I have always had dogs at my family home, starting with a jack russel and whippet from when i was a small child. By the time I had left the family home at 18 we had 2 labradors and a french bulldog. I now own a dachshund, her name is Molly and she is 4 years old! I love to teach my dog lots of tricks and of course spoilt her with treats and cuddles. We have been through all the good and bad stages of walking training so happy to walk any age dog! Some more info on my services/location/times below: Dog Walking: I am able to walk your dog if you live in the hu8/hu9 area of garden village and holderness road, or the HU5/HU6 area of the avenues. This is due to me walking to your location. I currently work at the university and live near holderness road. I am able to walk your dog for 30 minutes or one hour, whichever you prefer. I love walks whatever the weather and find myself to be comfortable with dogs who are well behaved, and ones who are not so (my dachshund barks at every opportunity so I am used to this). I would be most comfortable with walking dogs who stay on the lead at all times. I am fully insured. House drop-in: I would love to help with any home drop ins to provide pets, cuddles, food and toilet breaks for your pet! My hours are very flexible at the moment so please do send a message with your preferred times of walking or house dropping and I would be happy to help if possible! Dog boarding: I have a lovely 4 year old dachshund who I share my home with. Your dog would be most welcome to sleep in their crate, bed or my bed! I usually go to work each day for around 4 hours, but my husband is usually home to offer more frequent toilet breaks if needed! I am currently working hybrid, some days from home and some days from the office. I usually only leave for a few hours at a time thought as my jobs very flexible. I have a fenced back garden which my dog loves to play around in. I have a babygate to stop dogs from running up and down the stairs as my stairs are narrow. I am happy to carry dogs up and down if they want to stay in the bed. As mentioned in my bio - I do have a friendly little dachshund who is able to stay with me during your dogs stay if they are good with other dogs, or I can offer your dog their own space if needed and my dog can stay with family and friends.

About: My family have always had dogs and pets so I have been around animals my whole life. This includes feeding them, walking them, and showering them in love. I also completed work experience in dog grooming so I have interacted with many different dogs with many different personalities and loved them all! I am currently looking for a part time job so I have all the time for your furry friends! I’m fully available for your time preferences. I take my own dog out everyday so if your pet is looking for a walking play date, I can accommodate to that as well as taking your pet for a solo walk. I have a safe fenced garden and a lovely border collie to play with your furry babies! In your own home, I will follow every instruction and boundary you put in place when caring for your animals.

About: I really miss dogs and would love to share a new friendship with local doggies 🐶 I love being outside and walking and would love to have an excuse to be out and about, and dog walking is the perfect reason. I work in healthcare, but regular hours and so I'm free on evenings and weekends 😊 I'm always going for walks anyways! I can't have my own pet due to being out of the house too long at any one time, so would love to have quality time with local dogs instead!! I value dog and owner safety first and foremost, but also want dogs to have a fun and enjoyable time. I am always aware of my surroundings and am aware of how to keep dogs safe etc.

Outstanding service. purrfect sitter! We met with Harmony twice before the booking. She visited our home to get to know our three boys and familiarise herself with their routines and needs. From the very beginning, it was clear that Harmony was the right person to trust with our cats. She was incredibly knowledgeable about cats, spoke passionately about her own pets, and had a naturally calm and reassuring manner. While we were away, we received daily updates through Rover, including adorable photos, as well as detailed messages via WhatsApp. It gave us real peace of mind knowing how well the boys were being cared for. Harmony catered to our cats' every whim and truly went above and beyond, especially with our older, more nervous cat, taking extra care and patience around feeding times. She also stayed beyond the scheduled feeding visits to play with them and give them the interaction and attention they crave, particularly our energetic and mischievous kittens! I felt completely comfortable leaving our boys in Harmony's care and would not hesitate to use her pet-sitting services again in the future. Thank you, Harmony, for taking such wonderful care of them! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
