“An absolutely brilliant sitter and a wonderful family so kind and very loving , always sent videos and messages to ensure me teddy was ok , could not of left him with anyone else such an honest loving family xxx”

“Another excellent stay with Sara. Chaos is clearly well looked after and as an older boy, he really benefits from the peaceful stay Sara gives him. Will definitely continue to ask Sara to look after our little man. Highly recommended.”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter! From the moment we left, we felt completely at ease knowing our boys were being cared for as part of the family, not just looked after. We received regular updates with lots of photos and videos, which really meant the world to us while we were away—it was clear they were happy, relaxed, and enjoying themselves. It’s so reassuring to see your pets thriving in someone else’s care. When we came home, the boys were content, well cared for, and their usual happy selves, which says everything. It’s such a relief to have someone we trust so completely. We would absolutely recommend Julie to anyone looking for loving, reliable care for their pets. Thank you again for taking such wonderful care of our boys!”

“Dan was amazing with my dog Ned, 1st time I've left him so very nervous. Dan kept me updated with photos & Ned settled in great. Dan was very easy going & happy for Ned to sit on sofa which made it alot easier for Ned. Would definitely recommend Dan & we will be booking him everytime we go away in future”

“Millicent was fantastic from the first message! She replied to my booking request in a timely manner, which was extra appreciated considering the short notice. Due to this being Freddie’s first night away from home I was quite nervous and Millicent was so kind throughout the whole process, even offering for us to come the day prior for Fred (and myself) to meet her so we both would have a sense of where he would be staying. Throughout his stay I was provided multiple updates with pictures and I can safely say Freddie looked to have an amazing time, receiving plenty of cuddles! I was very nervous as Freddie is a big dog who doesn’t know his own size and strength, but Millicent was absolutely fantastic with him and I trust her completely. Will be my go to petter sitter moving on 💕🐾”

“We are so happy we chose Anitha to look after Yumi for us for 5days. We have never left her before, and wanted her to stay in a loving home. Anitha and Raj certainly provided that, along with thier 2 fluffy boys oreo and teddy 🥰. They provided regular updates with photos and videos, wich was very reassuring for us. Yumi was having so much fun, we stopped worry about if she was OK, and instead we wondered if we would get her home 🤣. We can't thank them enough and we will definitely be using Anitha again for any future trips. And possible play dates.”

“Luke and Michelle have been amazing with our bulldog Travis 🧡 we needed Travis looking after overnight at very last minute and they where quick to offer there help, and put our minds at ease. They kept us updated with pictures and messages throughout he’s stay, plenty of walks, loads of play time and made a new friend in Sydney. Thank you so much would definitely recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Justine and Matty were fantastic. Our two dogs loved them. It's clear that they are animal lovers and treated my boys like their own. We have booked with them again next month for 10 days. I feel at ease knowing that they will stay with Justine and Matty 😊”

“Kirsty and Kevin and there lovely family, show absolute fabulous passion care and love towards our Rosie, hugely recommend for hosts to take care of your furbabys, very welcomeing and considerate to your pets needs updating and sending videos and photos regularly,if there was a 10 star we'd give them it 🤩 many many thanks 🥰”

About: I have always had dogs at my family home, starting with a jack russel and whippet from when i was a small child. By the time I had left the family home at 18 we had 2 labradors and a french bulldog. I now own a dachshund, her name is Molly and she is 4 years old! I love to teach my dog lots of tricks and of course spoilt her with treats and cuddles. We have been through all the good and bad stages of walking training so happy to walk any age dog! Some more info on my services/location/times below: Dog Walking: I am able to walk your dog if you live in the hu8/hu9 area of garden village and holderness road, or the HU5/HU6 area of the avenues. This is due to me walking to your location. I currently work at the university and live near holderness road. I am able to walk your dog for 30 minutes or one hour, whichever you prefer. I love walks whatever the weather and find myself to be comfortable with dogs who are well behaved, and ones who are not so (my dachshund barks at every opportunity so I am used to this). I would be most comfortable with walking dogs who stay on the lead at all times. I am fully insured. House drop-in: I would love to help with any home drop ins to provide pets, cuddles, food and toilet breaks for your pet! My hours are very flexible at the moment so please do send a message with your preferred times of walking or house dropping and I would be happy to help if possible! Dog boarding: I have a lovely 4 year old dachshund who I share my home with. Your dog would be most welcome to sleep in their crate, bed or my bed! I usually go to work each day for around 4 hours, but my husband is usually home to offer more frequent toilet breaks if needed! I am currently working hybrid, some days from home and some days from the office. I usually only leave for a few hours at a time thought as my jobs very flexible. I have a fenced back garden which my dog loves to play around in. I have a babygate to stop dogs from running up and down the stairs as my stairs are narrow. I am happy to carry dogs up and down if they want to stay in the bed. As mentioned in my bio - I do have a friendly little dachshund who is able to stay with me during your dogs stay if they are good with other dogs, or I can offer your dog their own space if needed and my dog can stay with family and friends.
“Adam looked after Hector our Labrador extremely well, Adam followed all instructions, a lovely clean home and Hector settled in really well. Thank you Adam, I would highly recommend you to anyone. And would love Adam to look after Hector again.”

“Bear had the best time with Helena- she catered to all his needs and gave him lots of love and snuggles! Communication was great also and lots of picture updates. Will deffo use again when needed. Thanks Helena x”

About: I've loved animals for as long as I can remember, especially dogs and cats. I grew up with an Alsatian and, as soon as I moved into my own home at 18, I adopted my first cat. My husband shares my love of animals, and together we have a home full of furry family members! We have two beautiful cats (both aged 5), our wonderful 14-year-old Jack Russell cross, Rocky, who still thinks he's a puppy, and our affectionate 11-month-old Labrador, Sonny. Despite his size, Sonny is incredibly gentle, friendly and loves both people and other animals. I work part-time for the NHS, which has helped me develop responsibility, reliability and a caring nature. When your pet is with us, they'll be treated as part of the family, with plenty of love, attention and care. My husband is home every other week, so there's often someone around to keep your pet company. We also have two children, aged 13 and 10, who have grown up surrounded by animals. They are kind, gentle and respectful around pets and absolutely love helping to care for them. Over the years I've looked after pets for friends and family, and they've often encouraged me to join Rover because they know how much I enjoy caring for animals. Having trained Sonny from a puppy, I'm also happy to reinforce basic training and routines if you'd like me to. I'm also happy to administer medication (oral or topical) if your pet requires it, as long as I'm given clear instructions. I understand that every pet has their own routine, and I'll do everything I can to ensure they feel safe, comfortable and settled while in my care. I know that leaving your pet with someone else can feel daunting, so I'll keep you updated with regular messages, photos and videos, giving you complete peace of mind while you're away. I'd love the opportunity to meet you and your pet. If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to get in touch! Im currently working part time, usually a Tuesday and a Thursday, however my husband is home alot. I often home work also. I can help most days/weekends. Just message me ☺️ I have a very large garden with lots of doggy toys etc! A large fence and wall. My labrador is very safe in my garden. I also have CCTV outside both front and back. If you need me to visit your home I am extremely tidy, clean and responsible. Safety is my main priority for your furry friend.
“Olivia is a super lovely, friendly and experienced dog person and Honey was completely happy and relaxed being with her. I was sent photos and kept informed of how Honey was through her stay and I was happy that she was being taken good care of.”

About: With 14 years experience in the pet care industry and 4 years experience running my own pet care business your furry friends will be in the best hands. First aid trained, fully insured, city and guilds qualified in dog grooming and pet nutrition. I have my own pet care business so i run group walks every weekday morning 9-1pm. With my afternoons free for grooming, visits and solo walks. Keeping a space safe for pets is my top most priority. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely Incredible – 110% Recommend! I needed last-minute care for Ruby and truly managed to find a golden nugget with Luke and his family. Luke put in so much effort to meet me beforehand, letting me see his lovely home and introducing Ruby to Marv before her stay. It really did make such a massive difference and gave me total peace of mind. From the moment she arrived for her stay, Ruby was welcomed with open arms. What a wonderful, wonderful family they are! I have never seen her look so content while I was away. She wasn't just looked after; she was walked, fed, cuddled, loved, and played with constantly. Their dog, Marv, is the most beautiful boy, and their children are even more so. They are true dog people, and that is exactly what any owner hopes for. Luke and Carly, I cannot thank you enough. I can't recommend you highly enough, and I already can't wait to see you all for a dog walk very soon. Of course, Ruby is already looking forward to her next stay! Thank you so much. I don't just recommend your services—I recommend you, because you are all simply amazing.

Sara was very good at communicating and reassuring the nervous dog parent. Lola (my dog) absolutely loved her stay, she made a real connection with Sara and was looked after amazingly! Couldn't ask for more. We will be using Sara again anytime I need a dog stay in the area

Matthew was caring and conscientious whilst looking after our little dog. The circumstances were less than ideal, the weather was 30 degrees and she unfortunately had an illness which required antibiotics, although she was well in herself by the time we left her, she still needed to finish her course of medication whilst staying with Matthew. Matthew kept me updated and in touch the whole time, and immediately shared any concerns, and acted as necessary. Thank you Matthew

Agnese and Tom were absolutely amazing - I couldn’t have asked for better sitters! They were so kind and reassuring from the start, and meeting beforehand put any worries at ease immediately. My Coco took to them straight away and it was clear how much they love dogs! They kept me updated while I was away and looked after him so well – he came back happy and relaxed. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them and would love to book with them again. Thanks so much for all the love and kindness you provided to Coco 💗

Faith looked after our energetic, 1 year old dog, Buddy. Faith was very professional, meeting us before hand to ask questions, and to check if her and Buddy were a good match. Faith sent photos and provided updates throughout the day, which put us at ease. We have booked him in again for a 5 night stay next year.

Alysha was very attentive and looked after our dog in a very caring and understanding way. She went above and beyond updating us and we felt reassured that our dog was in great hands. Her own dog is a sweetheart and the two got along famously. I would not hesitate to book her services again. We are very pleased and our dog is too 😊!

This was our first time leaving Milo with someone who wasn’t family and we were genuinely so at ease with Anna! She was incredible with our boy, sent lots of photos, videos and updates. Kept us informed of when he went on walks and when he had eaten his food. Highly recommended! Thank you, Anna!!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
