“Thanks so much for all your help! We had to book Alex last minute and his speedy responses made the whole process so easy and filled us with confidence Penny had someone to check in on her. Alex shared plenty of photos of their walk and penny looks like she had such a lovely time! The excitement in all the pictures - I can tell she thoroughly enjoyed herself and had a good run around! Thank you again :)”

“Shriya agreed to walk our dog three times a week for several weeks and was an absolute delight to work with! We are hoping Shriya will to be willing to do it again in the future as we had such a good experience. Super flexible, communicative and, most of all, loving and good with our dog Nora. 9. Mikaela C.
“I always trust Mikaela to look after my cats. She went out of her way to meet me and my boys before her drop in visit dates, she took the time to greet my cats and make sure they were comfortable around her. This also gave me time to show her the feeding routine for the boys. During the visits Mikaela carried on the lead training with my boys and also took an extra 10 minutes to play with them during the visit. I always received lots of photos after each visit to keep me updated. I can tell she enjoys what she does and takes pride in every animal under her care.”

10. Isla W.
“Isla has been an animal lover from a very young age and has had pets from a small child including rabbits, guinea pigs, cats and dogs. Isla always gives a high level of care to any animal and treats them as her own. Isla has a genuine love for all animals and I would have no hesitation in recommending her to look after any animal with her full love, care and attention.”

Comfortable sleep times, constant hydration, regular exercise & sticking to the owners recommended diet are constants. Coupled with this, Rebecca has a natural affinity to make your favourite furry creature feel adored, secure and happy.”

12. Jess F.
About: Right from a very young age I dreamt of having my own dog, and In 2019 I was lucky enough to get one! Since then I now have two other dogs in my life, and have experienced caring for all three at once. Before we had a family dog, I worked on a local farm caring for other small animals, alongside the two working farm dogs. I love meeting new dogs, and I’m a sucker for stopping and saying hi to one in a park or pub! I have just graduated from the Uni of Sheffield and I am now living in Sheffield. I have been on Rover for the duration of Uni and I am going to continue up until starting my new job in January. I aim to go on a walk everyday and it would be great to have furry company! I lived in Rutland and when I visit I am available to walk/look after pets in this area too. I am familiar with the dog-friendly areas in most parts of Sheffield, and would be comfortable with a dog on or off leash in an environment that the owner is also comfortable with. I am familiar with crate training, puppy training, the importance of enrichment as well as building trust with each individual dog. I live in a student house with a secure garden, and 5 other dog-loving students!

13. April B.
“April has always been trustworthy and responsible, and I’ve always known her to be attentive and caring with her own dog. I would have no hesitations about letting her look after either of my pets if needed.”

14. Kezom S.

“After a tough day Kezom offered to take my naughty little pups out as well as I didn’t get a chance to. Saved my day and my sanity thank you sooooo much”

About: I believe that my experience as a dog and cat shelter staff for three years shows my ability to provide tailored care for pets of all ages, from energetic puppies who need training and playtime to senior pets who require gentler handling and patience. My role primarily involved rehabilitating dogs who had experienced trauma/war and preparing them for adoption into their future homes. I focused on understanding each dog's triggers and finding ways to help them overcome their fears. This involved daily walks and handling unexpected behaviour (some dogs were scared of sudden sounds like car motors so they peed themselves.) Once the dogs started behaving more normally, I taught them basic skills such as "sit," "lie down," and commands like "don’t eat" to help them adjust to their new lives. Also, part of my job was to ensure that new owners knew history of their dog and help them during first month with anything in terms of care. I am currently a full-time student studying Aerospace Engineering at the University of Sheffield. This year, I was also assigned a team lead position for a student-led project called Sunride. Despite my busy schedule, I have free time on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday afternoons through late evenings, and I’m fully available on Saturdays and Sundays. However, during exam seasons, I might be busier, so I’d only be available for afternoon or evening walks. I’m a very responsible and organized person, so as long as my schedule aligns with yours, I promise to give my absolute best! When I was living in Ukraine, I cared for my own dog and two cats. Daily feeding and hygiene were essential, and I always made sure to spend quality time with each of them. My dog used to be very active, so I would take him on my morning runs regularly. Although he’s now too old for that, I still find ways to keep him active. :) Additionally, I worked at a dog and cat shelter for three years. My role primarily involved rehabilitating dogs who had experienced trauma and preparing them for adoption into their future homes. I focused on understanding each dog's triggers and finding ways to help them overcome their fears. Once the dogs started behaving more normally, I taught them basic skills such as "sit," "lie down," and commands like "don’t eat" to help them adjust to their new lives.

16. Mason R.
“Mason looked after my dog while I had to go on a work trip for a week. We’ve been friends a long time and there is no one I’d trust my dog with than Mason. He’s an active person and took my pooch on walks daily and always made sure to send me photos and videos of him playing and caring for my dog. I couldn’t recommend Mason more to anyone looking to have their fur friend looked after.”

17. Carol M.

“This was my first time to use any sort of service and I've been really impressed. Carol has been wonderful. She obviously likes my dog, has done everything and more that I asked/expected. I have loved the daily updates. I can't recommend her and Rover.com enough. Thank you”

About: My hours are completely flexible and I am confident in my pets, paying attention to their health and preparing their food for the day. I hope you feel comfortable leaving your precious pets with me. 1. Feeding: Provide your pet with a balanced diet and make sure it is fed on time. You can choose a fixed time so that your pet will get used to it and develop a routine. 2. Walking and Exercise: Especially for dogs, regular walking or exercise is very important. Take long walks at least once a day to help them burn off excess energy and stay healthy. 3. Cleaning and brushing: Brushing your pet's coat every day or every two days, especially for long-haired breeds, will help reduce shedding and prevent tangles. 4. Toilet training and cleaning: Clean your pet's toilet area daily to ensure a hygienic environment and to check if your pet needs more training. 1. Caring for pets in the owner's home: Feeding and watering: provide pets with appropriate food and fresh water as required by the pet owner and ensure that they are on a regular diet. Walking and Exercise: Take pets for regular walks, especially for dogs, to ensure they get the right amount of exercise and explore their environment. Interaction and entertainment: keep your pet mentally and physically healthy by interacting with them through toys, games and training. Cleanliness and hygiene: Ensure your pet has a clean living environment by cleaning their toilet area or litter tray daily. Emotional companionship: If the owner is not at home, I will maintain interaction with the pet and provide companionship to avoid the pet feeling lonely or anxious. 2. Caring for pets in my home: Adaptive Care: Provide a safe, comfortable environment to ensure the pet feels at home. I will make adjustments according to the pet's personality and needs, such as providing extra reassurance for pets that are afraid of unfamiliar environments. Feeding and Cleaning: Prepare food as requested by the pet owner and ensure that the pet's eating area and toilet are cleaned regularly. Health monitoring: Keep a close eye on your pet's health, such as weight changes, appetite, activity level, etc., and inform the owner in a timely manner. Regular Exercise: Take your pet for daily walks or activities to keep them active.
