“Alex walked my labrador Ruby today and did a great job. He was responsive by message and reassuring about all my questions and bits of information. He arrived on time and took Ruby on a walk around my local area, keeping her on leash as requested. He also fed her and played with her a bit, and he uploaded plenty of photos and info about her walk. Thanks Alex! Would book with you again”

“Ellen has been great with our whippets weekly walks. Shes always on time, very warm and friendly with the dog and most importantly, our whippet is always delighted to see her. Would absolutely reccommend her services.”

About: Both me and my partner Kyle love animals of all shapes and sizes, and have had dogs and cats for most of our lives (but do not currently just as we do go away at weekends occasionally!). We both work from home flexibly full time so can give your dog as much attention as they need, and are also available for last minute bookings! Both me and my partner are remote workers on a flexible schedule, so are able to give your pet the time and attention they need. We can also be available for fairly last minute bookings due to this. We have a small fenced garden safe for time outside, and will check for any other tweaks we need to make to our home to ensure your pet is comfortable, or for anything I need to be aware of if visiting your pet in your home.

About: I've had animals in my family home since I can remember, from cats, rabbits, rodents, birds, and different types of dog breeds (westies, boxers and dachshunds). I love the company of animals and treat them with care, respect and love. I'm currently taking an academia break following the completion of my PhD, so I have a lot of free time between writing papers and going to the gym. I am located central in Sheffield. I have a hamster at home (named Ozzy), who does not require timely care so I am widely available to help out with your pets needs. I wouldn't be able to offer services within my own home, however if we were able to build a trusting mutual relationship I would consider overnight care within your own home after a discussion of pet care needs.
“I highly recommend David as a dog walker! He is kind, caring and considerate. He took the time to come for a meet and greet to find out what Norma's needs are and how we want her cared for. David has been excellent with his communication, really quick to reply and really detailed. He left great detailed feedback on his walk and some lovely pictures. Thank you David :)”

About: Hi there! I’m a lifelong animal lover with over 13 years of hands-on experience caring for my own pet. From daily walks and feeding routines to vet visits and cuddle sessions, I’ve handled it all with love and responsibility. Having cared for my furry companion through every life stage—from playful puppyhood to gentle senior years—I understand how much your pet means to you. Whether you’re heading away for a weekend or need daily help, I treat every pet like my own: with patience, affection, and the attention they deserve. You can count on me for reliable, compassionate care that gives both you and your pet peace of mind. 🐾 I’m a student with a flexible schedule and currently available full-time. I have plenty of time and energy to give your pet the love and attention they need every day! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I create a calm, clean, and loving environment, and I’m happy to follow any specific routines or care instructions you provide.

About: Currently, my profile link offers pet owners a £15 off their first booking with Rover. First reserved, first get. I have taken care of cats since I was 15. Neighbours and friends love to drop their cats to when they’re away. I am genuine friends with cats. I am good at using reward mechanisms to play with dogs and interact with cats. I’m currently looking for jobs, so I have plenty of time to play and take care of cats and dogs. I am free all day from 8am to 8pm, either work day or weekend. I can feed them twice per and going for park walks. At my parent’s home, I feed them not only processed factory food but also with fresh fruits vega and cooked meat to keep them healthy and happy. They love my massages when I tidy up their hairs.
About: I love pets! I have been around them since I was born, as my parents got a dog before having children. I’m sensitive snd have a sense of kinship with pets, being the youngest child and all!!😁 I would be happy to help you with your pet caring needs. I can: - Go on a nice walk with your doggo, so you can have a relaxed and exercised pet (who will not destroy your favorite shoes!) when you get home. - Board them in my home during the day - Caring visits and spending time with them in your home during the day - Stay with them in your home while you’re away Each pet has different needs and preferences, so I’ll be very happy to discuss their needs, and yours. Please feel welcomed to send any inquiries on how I can help you with your pet caring needs! I’m a postgraduate student in a flexible, writing-up phase. I’m available from 8 am to 10 pm for dog walks, can fit around your schedule, and am available short-notice. I’m respectful and a good listener, so will be aware to and uphold any guidance and boundaries you communicate. I aim to leave things as I found them in any home that I am in. I have a home with a garden which I can host your pet in. I ask that you supply their usual supplies (food, accessories, toys, bedding), so they can be comfortable away from home. As I have 2 cats in my home, who are still getting used to dogs, I will not be able to provide overnight boarding. However, I am happy to look after your pet in your home overnight.
About: Grown up in the countryside so have been walking neighbours, family friends/ friends dogs since I was very young. Plenty of time on my hands at the moment so quite flexible. Photos above of just some of the friendly doggos I have had the pleasure of looking after! Please note: no specialist skills. Simply a causal dog walker. Currently recovering from chronic illness and cannot work at the moment, therefore loads of time on my hands to walk around! Very flexible and can do most times in the day, weekends might be busier. With the proximity to the peak district, I am more than happy to drive your dog for a walk along one of the gritstone edges if you wish. Curbar-Froggatt and back, a personal favourite. I look after pets in my own home by giving them a safe, comfortable space, walks, playtime, and loads of attention to make them feel happy and relaxed. All three of my housemates really like animals too, and so your dog will be getting loads of attention and love ! We are a clean household and the house is kept in a very tidy state. Its perfectly safe for a dog to roam around our house. I obviously stick to the feeding schedule and food you have instructed to use.
“Taylor walked our doggy Mandy twice now. She has been amazing making friends with Mandy, who was recently adopted and very shy towards everyone new. Taylor built a connection with Mandy very quickly, and I feel at ease leaving Mandy in her care as she is kind and very knowledgeable about dogs. I am very happy with the service provided by Taylor & would recommend her to anyone.”

About: Your pets will be spoiled rotten with me! I've cared for dogs and cats for years, including many rescues with special needs I'm very observant and detail oriented, if I notice anything unusual like a limp or change in appetite, you'll hear from me straight away. Expect plenty of photo updates while you're away because I can't help myself! Prefer daytime drop-offs for boarding it helps dogs settle in more easily and reduces first night anxiety. I was working part-time and recently took a break, so I have a pretty flexible schedule with plenty of time for pet care. Most weekdays I'm free, and I can also cover weekends when needed. I'm usually home and love spending quality time with the pets I'm sitting, I live in a flat with access to a safe shared garden. I love taking dogs out for walks in the park and longer hikes when the weather's nice. Your pet will be well looked after and comfortable with me.
About: I have experience walking and caring for a family Border Collie, including taking him out for walks, keeping him safe on the lead, giving him attention, and making sure he had water and company. Although I am new to Rover, I am patient, responsible and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I am happy to help with dog walks and drop-in visits, such as feeding, refreshing water, playing, and keeping pets comfortable while their owners are away~ I am currently based in Sheffield and have a flexible schedule for dog walking and drop-in visits. I do not offer overnight stays, but I am happy to help during the day or early evening, depending on the owner’s needs. I can visit to feed pets, refresh water, play with them, take dogs for walks, and provide photo updates after each visit. For drop-in visits and dog walks, I will always follow the owner’s instructions carefully. I will make sure doors, windows and gates are secure, keep dogs safely on the lead during walks, and check that pets have fresh water before I leave. I will also respect the owner’s home, keep everything clean and tidy, and send updates so they know their pet is safe and comfortable.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since the age of 14. I was the neighbourhood/ family friend dog sitter. Pet sitting in their homes as well as dog walking I was the go to girl. I have an older frenchie, who is crate trained and low energy 90% of the time (loves play and snoozing). If your animals do not get on with others, he has an alternate owner to stay with. Please just let me know. I work from home permanently so your pets needs will fit into my work schedule very easily. Whether I am pet sitting in your home or dropping by my full attention will be to your animals. If your dogs are ok with others, Charlie would love a park play date / walk. If he is welcome to sleep over he is strictly crate trained and will be dropped home after breakfast and morning walks. Let me know your preferences. He will never be left with your pet without me there. We respect your home and pet’s comfort. Caring for your fur-baby will fit perfectly into my working from home (full time) day. From play time, walks and park fun your pet will have a purfect day. My full attention will cater to any special needs.
“Highly recommend Aspasia! I sprained my ankle and needed someone to urgently walk my very active spaniel. Aspasia was incredibly flexible and took Spencer for a huge walk, she is kind, considerate and bonded with Spencer straight away - even though he can be wary of new people. Thank you! You rock!”

“This was my first time to use any sort of service and I've been really impressed. Carol has been wonderful. She obviously likes my dog, has done everything and more that I asked/expected. I have loved the daily updates. I can't recommend her and Rover.com enough. Thank you”

Alex has been absolutely amazing with jack, he was very caring and really look after jack well on his walks. He understood jacks needs with him being a senior dog, and jack was very comfortable with him. We wouldn't hesitate to use alex again if needed, and would 100% recommend him.
Thanks so much Amber! I can see that Rosie had a great time. You are very generous with your time as you were out even longer than planned (in the pouring rain too)!!! Rosie had a good long walk and will settle down happily now for the rest of the afternoon. Thank you so much. Fully recommend Amber to take your fury friend for a walk.

My minature cockapoo dog, Maple, warmed to Hannah immediately and she is usaually very timid with new people. Hannah presented as very kind and good at putting my dog at ease sending details of the walk and photos! Hannah is an extremely competent and engaging dog walker so would highly recommend her services.
Ryan and his vizsla, Daphne, arrived right on time to collect Dig and take him out for his scheduled walk. He is very friendly and capable, and very patient. Dig came back happy and tired after a big walk and some playtime with Daphne. Ryan told me they did some light scent-work, which dig absolutely loves. I felt really comfortable knowing that he is familiar with vizslas and their quirks. Will be booking regular walks going forward, highly recommend for people with high energy gun dogs.
Our dogs loved Laura! Right from the moment she came to do a meet and greet at our house. Her communication is brilliant, and both dogs looked like they had the best time on their walk. We will definitely be using Laura again. Thank you for walking them and giving us peace of mind while we were on holiday!

Rosie had a lovely walk with Beth. Rosie likes to stop and start and sniff all the interesting smells around. Beth is very patient and caring, allowing 10 year old Rosie to walk at her own pace. At the end of the walk I got sent a map of where they had went with photos! Great! Thanks Beth, we will definitely have you again soon.
