About: For the past two years, I have been the proud owner of a wonderful tabby cat. Being a cat parent has taught me firsthand the daily dedication it takes to care for a pet—from keeping up with feeding routines and litter box maintenance to reading feline body language and providing plenty of love and playtime. I have plenty of experience interacting with both dogs and cats in their homes. I frequently join family and friends on their dog walks, meaning I am comfortable on the leash, know how to handle dogs out in public, and love helping them burn off some energy. As I have just completed my A-levels, I have an entirely open and flexible schedule for the summer until mid-September! Because I don’t have daily work or university commitments right now, pet care easily fits into my routine. I am available all days of the week, morning through night, meaning your pet will get my full, undivided attention and companionship. I am dedicated to keeping a consistent routine for your pets, with the only exceptions being a few pre-planned summer holidays where I will be away: June 22nd – June 29th August 20th – August 27th August 29th – September 5th Outside of those specific dates, my schedule is completely clear and open for walks, daycare, or sitting When caring for pets, safety, routine, and personalized attention are my top priorities. Whether looking after an animal in my home or yours, I bring a high level of responsibility to their daily care. For dogs: I am lucky enough to live just a 10-minute walk away from Graves Park, where I go daily. I frequently join my neighbor and her puppy on these walks, giving me great, hands-on experience handling dogs outside, maintaining a secure grip on the leash, and being aware of our surroundings. If I am walking or sitting your dog, they will get lovely, energetic trips to the park to burn off energy, always tailored safely to their age, breed, and your specific instructions. For cats: As the sole carer for my own outdoor tabby cat, I completely understand the vigilance required to keep a pet safe. Because we don’t have a cat flap, I am used to closely monitoring my pet's whereabouts, ensuring she safely enters and leaves the house at the right times. I manage her strict twice-a-day feeding routine, keep her active with daily playtime, and—most importantly—make sure she gets plenty of cuddles and neck scratches on the sofa.

About: I provide a calm, clean, and stress-free environment where cats can settle in at their own pace. With over seven years of experience caring for cats, I understand feline behaviour and know how to care for both shy and affectionate cats. I pay close attention to their eating, litter box habits, and overall wellbeing, and I’m happy to follow any special care instructions. I also send regular photo and video updates, so you can enjoy your time away knowing your cat is safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I have a flexible schedule and spend a lot of time working from home, which allows me to give cats plenty of attention throughout the day. I can follow their usual routine for feeding, playtime, and rest, and I’m available on both weekdays and weekends with advance notice. Your cat’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. My home is clean, quiet, and suitable for cats to relax and feel secure. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions, including feeding routines, litter box cleaning, medication if required, and any special preferences. I always make sure doors and windows are secure and never leave pets unattended for long periods. You’ll also receive regular photo and video updates, so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I usually only board one household’s cat(s) at a time, so they can enjoy a calm and stress-free environment.

I can: - Go on a nice walk with your doggo, so you can have a relaxed and exercised pet (who will not destroy your favorite shoes!) when you get home. - Board them in my home during the day - Caring visits and spending time with them in your home during the day - Stay with them in your home while you’re away Each pet has different needs and preferences, so I’ll be very happy to discuss their needs, and yours. I have a home with a garden which I can host your pet in. I ask that you supply their usual supplies (food, accessories, toys, bedding), so they can be comfortable away from home. As I have 2 cats in my home, who are still getting used to dogs, I will not be able to provide overnight boarding. However, I am happy to look after your pet in your home overnight.

About: I have owned and cared for my Poodle since 2018. Although my dog is currently back home, my love for dogs has never changed. I miss spending time with dogs, so I decided to become a pet sitter. I care for only one dog at a time. This allows me to give each dog my full attention, care, and affection. I know every dog has its own routine and personality. I will follow your dog’s usual schedule for meals, walks, playtime, and rest. I can administer oral medication if needed. Walks will be tailored to your dog’s age, health, and energy level. I do not have any other pets at home. Your dog will enjoy a calm, safe, and comfortable environment. I will send regular photo and video updates throughout every stay. My goal is to help your dog feel happy, relaxed, and loved until you return. I have a flexible schedule, allowing me to provide plenty of attention throughout the day. Your dog will have regular toilet breaks (4-6hours/ except night time), regular walks (more than 2 times, more than 30mins per walk), exercise, playtime, and companionship, and will never left alone. I care for only one dog at a time, allowing me to give your dog my full attention. I do not have any other pets at home. I will follow your dog’s usual routine, administer oral medication if needed, and send regular photo and video updates.

About: Hi, I’m a passionate animal lover living in Sheffield. I grew up around pets and deeply understand that dogs and cats aren't just animals—they are family. I know how stressful it can be to leave your furry companions behind, which is why my top priority is to provide reliable, high-quality care that keeps their usual routine intact. I have practical, hands-on experience looking after friends' and neighbors' pets. For example, I recently spent two days caring for a friend's dog who was a bit timid and nervous about being away from their owner. By spending quality time together, staying calm, and being patient, I successfully helped the dog settle down, feel comfortable, and enjoy their walks. Currently, I have a very flexible schedule, making me highly available throughout the week for dog walking and drop-in visits. Whether your pet needs a fun walk to burn off energy or just some friendly company, you can rest assured they are in safe, loving, and responsible hands. I currently have a highly flexible schedule, which allows me to seamlessly fit pet care into my weekly routine. I am available throughout the week for morning, midday, or afternoon dog walking and drop-in visits for both dogs and cats. Because my hours are adaptable, I can easily accommodate your pet's usual routine—whether that means sticking to your dog's regular walk timings or ensuring your cat is fed and checked on at their exact usual meal times. Since I focus exclusively on drop-in visits and dog walking, my priority is maintaining safety and security in your pet's own familiar environment. During home visits, I am extremely mindful of household security, ensuring all doors and windows are safely locked so curious cats or dogs stay securely inside. When out walking dogs, they will always remain securely on-leash for their safety. For cat visits, I deeply respect their boundaries and let them set the pace for interaction while thoroughly managing their litter boxes, fresh water, and meals. I am a highly responsible person who will always send detailed photo updates of your happy cats or dogs after each visit for your total peace of mind! I also have a professional camera, so if you need portraits of your pet, I’d be happy to provide high-quality photos of your adorable furry friends.

About: Currently, my profile link offers pet owners a £15 off their first booking with Rover. First reserved, first get. I have taken care of cats since I was 15. Neighbours and friends love to drop their cats to when they’re away. I am genuine friends with cats. I am good at using reward mechanisms to play with dogs and interact with cats. I’m currently looking for jobs, so I have plenty of time to play and take care of cats and dogs. I am free all day from 8am to 8pm, either work day or weekend. I can feed them twice per and going for park walks. At my parent’s home, I feed them not only processed factory food but also with fresh fruits vega and cooked meat to keep them healthy and happy. They love my massages when I tidy up their hairs.

About: Your pets will be spoiled rotten with me! I've cared for dogs and cats for years, including many rescues with special needs I'm very observant and detail oriented, if I notice anything unusual like a limp or change in appetite, you'll hear from me straight away. Expect plenty of photo updates while you're away because I can't help myself! Prefer daytime drop-offs for boarding it helps dogs settle in more easily and reduces first night anxiety. I was working part-time and recently took a break, so I have a pretty flexible schedule with plenty of time for pet care. Most weekdays I'm free, and I can also cover weekends when needed. I'm usually home and love spending quality time with the pets I'm sitting, I live in a flat with access to a safe shared garden. I love taking dogs out for walks in the park and longer hikes when the weather's nice. Your pet will be well looked after and comfortable with me.

About: Grew up on a farm, had multiple dogs from a young age; patterdale terriers and a German Wirehaired Pointer. Ever since, I've always loved playing and taking care of my friends' and family's dogs. My favourite was the runt of the litter of one of my mum's dogs who I persuaded my mum to keep, and she turned into a lovely ball of fluffy fun who was always by my side! I am currently very free and available so I can accommodate any time you require, especially weekdays. I do have less flexibility over the weekend. I'm very safety conscious, taking your needs and requirements into consideration. I do live in a 4th floor flat with no lift with pet owners on each floor so I will ensure your dog is on a lead and under control whilst going up and down the stairs.

About: Hi! I’m a huge dog lover based in Sheffield with experience caring for dogs of all sizes, from small breeds to larger dogs. I’ve grown up around dogs and have helped train them to be crate trained, potty trained, and even learn fun tricks. I love getting outdoors for long walks and making sure every dog gets the exercise, attention, and affection they need. Whether your dog is energetic and loves adventures or prefers a slower pace and lots of cuddles, I’ll tailor their care to suit their personality and routine. I live in a quiet, calm home where dogs can feel safe, relaxed, and comfortable. I also have a flexible schedule, so I’m available for boarding, daycare, walks, and last-minute bookings whenever possible. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, so I’ll treat your dog like one of my own. I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can relax knowing they’re happy, well cared for, and getting plenty of love. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry best friend! 🐾 Pet care fits really well into my routine. I attend university roughly twice a week during term time and I climb around three times a week, but outside of that I have a very flexible schedule as I’m not currently working. This gives me lots of time and availability to dedicate to looking after pets, whether that’s walks, daycare, or boarding. I have a calm, pet-friendly home with no children, no other pets, and I do not smoke. I have an unfenced garden that is backed by houses away from roads, and dogs will always be supervised and taken out on a lead for regular toilet breaks. I can also offer frequent walks, with several nearby parks providing plenty of safe exercise and variety. Your dog will always be cared for in a safe, relaxed environment with their comfort and routine prioritised.

About: I have taken care of dogs since a young age. I am owner of a samoyed for 13 years! We play together and we are more than family! I really admire how pets love their owners! The least i could do is take daily care of them and feel their love in my life! I am taking care of pets to feel comfortable in every single way! I can’t recommend Leyton highly enough. Sid stayed with him for doggy daycare during the weekdays while we were away on holiday, with my partner dropping him off on his way to work and collecting him at the end of the day. Sid is a Staffy and a strong dog, so one of the things that was important to me when choosing someone was finding a sitter who was confident and comfortable looking after and walking a bigger, stronger dog. I had absolutely no worries with Leyton. Sid clearly loved his time there. He had walks, plenty of playtime and always came home happy and completely worn out, which is definitely a good sign! Leyton also fed him his morning and evening meals and gave him his medication, which made things so much easier for us. I really appreciated getting a lovely update at the end of each day telling me what Sid had been up to and how he’d got on. It was very reassuring being away and knowing he was happy and being properly looked after. Sid was unfortunately attacked by another dog while out with my partner over the weekend. When he went back to Leyton on the Monday, Leyton took such good care of him and kept a close eye on him, which I really appreciated. It was also obvious that Leyton genuinely enjoyed having Sid there, rather than it simply feeling like a dog-sitting service. Sid clearly felt comfortable and happy with him too. We’ll definitely be using Leyton again, not just for holidays but for the odd day when we’re going to be out for a long time and don’t want Sid home alone all day. Highly recommended. Thank you, Leyton, for taking such good care of our boy! 🐾

Ellen walked my boy Ralph to see how he managed before having a long boarding stay. He’s very nervous of other people and reactive towards dogs. Ellen understood his needs and her calm nature helped him relax and enjoy their time together, he returned home happy and exhausted from his run around, and I was reassured that Ellen was confident in managing his behaviour and that their boarding stay together will be great🥰

It was so helpful for Amber to visit Rosie at home during the very hot weather. It was too hot for a walk but having Amber to check on Rosie that she was keeping in the shade, got ample water and a friendly face for company was really important to an elderly dog at home for a time in the sweltering heat.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for last-minute bookings for Dog Walking. With 4,078 Walkers in Sheffield, 42% respond to messages in under 5 minutes.

Many sitters keep their calendars updated in real time and you can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care in the next 24 hours, you can look for sitters with a 'calendar last updated' notice on their profiles.
