“Highly recommend Lucy for daycare and boarding, Sidney was pining for her and Marnie when we got home, he missed their company and cuddles 🥹 I felt completely at home myself when I dropped him off and Sidney definitely did! We'll definitely be booking with Lucy again when we need to 😊 Thank you Lucy 🙂”

“Ebru is amazing! So caring and experienced with cats. She communicated with me throughout, sent pics, and even asked how they were after o collected them, as one has car sickness. Highly recommended!”

“Domhnall has just come home after a trial run with Linda. He’s very unhappy in kennels and howls and cries 24x7. It’s such a relief to know he’s with people who understand and care for him so that he feels secure and happy. My only worry is he might not want to come home 😂”

“Meisha has been absolutely great! It was the first time my dog Rayah had been in an unfamiliar environment for more than 1 night, so was wanting to make sure I found someone who was patient and attentive. Meisha was fantastic with communication, and put me at ease during a meet and greet. She made sure Rayah had the best time and took her only lovely walks, played with her and gave her the best care. Meisha's partner also gave lots of attention to Rayah and it was great to know what a fab time they all had! I got lovely pictures and video updates throughout, which was lovely to see! Rayah was so happy and calm when I collected her, and I got a full debrief of what she got up to on her time spent with Meisha. I would 100% recommend Meisha, she has been wonderful! Thank you 😊”

“First time using Jade and I’ll definitely use Jade again! She made sure to keep me updated with how Winnie was getting on and send me loads of photos which made my heart melt, Winnie had the bestest day to the point where she didn’t even want to get back in the car! Jade looks after your pup like she’s her own and it’s amazing to have that when it’s needed!”

“Absolutely great! Mavis is utterly exhausted from playing so much. Very organised and great with communication. Highly recommend, will definitely use again :)”

“Mavis spent a week with Janice and had a lovely, relaxing time. It was particularly hot during her visit and Janice was great at adapting to early morning and late evening walks to keep Mavis cool. Janice sent us regular updates and photos which were much appreciated. I would happily choose Janice again.”

“Lucy had another fabulous stay with Danielle and Ryan, who she has completely fallen in love with! They absolutely cater for both her bouncy and cuddly sides, and take great care of her. Due to challenging circumstances at our end, they offered to extend Lucy's stay, which was extremely appreciated. We have already rebooked!”

“Megan was amazing, this was a hard leave for me due to Tilly having a few health issues over the last few weeks. I chose Megan due to Tilly been the only animal there. Tilly was so happy when she came home I was updated daily on her feeding been happy as well has her medication and if she had any seizures. Thank you again Megan”

“Karen was a perfect person to care for our Border Collie, Siân. She has a wealth of experience with and understanding of dogs, but she is also very kind, welcoming and accommodating. She really took care to think what would be best for Siân. Moreover, we really enjoyed meeting Karen and wish we lived closer to be able to have her as a regular person in our and Siân's lives!”

“We are very happy with the care our dog received. She was kind, reliable, and made us feel completely at ease while we were away. Czika was happy and well looked after. We would definitely book with her again🩷”

“Shelby and her partner were incredible with Ava! Gave us plenty of updates and Ava was so relaxed and happy with them. Will definitely book again when we next need a dog sitter. Thanks guys.”

Our house has a lovely big garden and a separate area inside for dogs who might want their own space. I have a large, fenced garden and one dog called Nettle who loves to play. However, there is a separate area for dogs who might want their own space. Our house is on a private road and in a quiet area with walks from the doorstep or a very short drive to gorgeous Peak District countryside.
“Diana had a fabulous time staying with Natalie and her family. She settled in well with the family dogs and seemed to enjoy the relaxed and kind atmosphere in the farmhouse.Natalie sent frequent messages and photos to reassure us that Diana was happy and enjoying her holiday. There was plenty of good walking around the farm, and cosy rest time in front of the fire. It seemed a gently structured and very dog friendly household. Dog heaven!! We were confident that Diana was being well cared for. Huge thanks to Natalie for looking after Diana so well. We will certainly be making future bookings”

“Megan looked after our 2 year old Lab while we were away. She was well cared for, and it was lovely to come home to a happy dog. Megan kept us updated during the stay, which we appreciated. Thank you for looking after her.”

About: I've been a dog owner for over 15 years and have done Rover in the past. I'm a relaxed dog sitter that understands dog behaviour and I would never use any form of punishment training. Your dog will be looked after like they are my own with care and kindness. I work mainly from home but have a routine with my own large rescue dog that is usually first thing in the morning and around 4-5pm. I can offer regular walks around these times, some doggy day care (Ollie loves having friends to play with!) and also occasional dog boarding. I do sometimes leave the house for work for around 4 hours so boarding will need to be arranged upfront and for dogs that are ok to be left for a while. I have a secure garden at home and a van that I can collect your dog in to take on walks - we usually go for an hour to the woods or moors and Ollie loves company!
“Antonia was absolutely brilliant from start to finish! I booked with her at very short notice and dropped by dog off without a meet and greet (my choice) but my dog settled straight away. I received pictures and updates throughout the weekend and picked a happy doggy up! I was also a few hours later than anticipated but Antonia was very understanding. Thanks so much Antonia, I highly recommend you :)”

“Izzy was absolutely amazing looking after my 2 cats, and I couldn't recommend her more! 1 of my cats is usually scared of any strangers (she hides from people she's known for years) but Izzy played with her and managed a pet or two. Izzy went over and above and I will certainly be seeing if she is available again!”

“Evie did a wonderful job looking after my cat, Ted, while I was on holiday. She made the effort to get to know Ted and learn about his routines and favourite toys before the visit. During my trip Evie kept me updated with messages and lots of lovely pictures of Ted so I could see he was happy. I came home to a spotless house and a very happy cat, who had enjoyed his week with Evie. He is already missing her. I would definitely recommend Evie and will be hoping to book her again in the future!”

However in your home I promise to leave it clean and tidy and make sure your pet gets all the attention and walks or pets they need!
“Clare is absolutely lovely and took such great care of my cat, Ted. Ted had a great time hanging out with her and was very happy and content. She was flexible and accommodating in meeting our cats particular needs and I felt confident entrusting our cat and home to her while we were away. Janice was very patient with him and by the end his stay he was comfortable enough to sit on the settee with her! She kept me informed throughout the day and I feel very reassured for his week long stay with her next week 😊”

“For a first time ever at daycare I'm really pleased. Obi is a nervous little guy sometimes and Dilma and co. really helped Obi feel comfortable. He even had a little nap which I was surprised at. The communication leading up to the first stay was excellent and very reassuring. I felt like there was genuine interest in my dog (Gracie) and what would make her happy and settled. Needless to say, Gracie was absolutely fine and had obviously had a fun and stimulating day in Hayley's care. Strongly recommend.”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs my entire life, including rescues with nervous and anxious personalities. I’ve owned a Bulldog and now have a Newfoundland, giving me plenty of experience with different temperaments, large and giant breeds. I’m patient, confident and always adapt my care to each individual dog’s needs. I work from home full-time, so I’m around throughout the day to provide plenty of company, attention, walks, playtime and regular toilet breaks. I provide calm, attentive care tailored to each dog’s routine and personality. I’m experienced with nervous dogs and large breeds and prioritise safety.

About: I’ve been lucky enough to spend my life surrounded by animals of all shapes and sizes – from playful pups and cuddly cats to tropical fish, and even bees! 🐝 Animals have always been a huge part of my world, and caring for them comes naturally to me. I have hands-on experience looking after dogs, cats, and fish. I’ve also trained my own dogs, which means I understand how important patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement are. Whether it’s a puppy learning the ropes, or an older dog who needs a gentler pace, I adapt to each animal’s unique needs. With bees, I’ve learned the importance of calm handling, respect, and attentiveness – skills I bring to all the pets I care for. Safety, trust, and making sure your pet feels comfortable are always my top priorities. Your furry (or finned!) family member will be cared for as if they were my own – with love, attention, and plenty of fun. A Day in My Care 🐾 • Morning Walks (7am – 9am): A refreshing start to the day with plenty of exercise, sniffing, and tail wags. Perfect for dogs who like to burn off energy first thing. Session length can be discussed. • Midday Visits (11am – 2pm): Feeding, toilet breaks, playtime, or a calm walk — tailored to your pet’s routine. • Afternoon Adventures (3pm – 5pm): Shorter walks as welcome as the longer ones, or quieter sessions in the garden depending on your dog’s needs. • Evening Check-Ins (6pm – 8pm): Dinner, toilet breaks, and some quiet companionship to wind down. Your pet’s safety and happiness always come first. I understand how much trust it takes to let someone else care for your furry family member, and I take that responsibility seriously. • Safety: I keep walks controlled, calm, and enjoyable. I only use secure leads and harnesses, avoid unsafe areas, and always pay attention to your dog’s comfort and limits. It’s always good to get to know your dog beforehand so let me know what they’re like both inside and outside, any behavioural quirks or anything else you might think useful. • Trust: Animals respond best when they feel safe and respected. I will take time to get to know your pet’s personality so they can relax and enjoy themselves while you’re away. • Environment: I adapt to your pet’s routine and surroundings to reduce stress and keep things familiar. Walks can be energetic adventures or calm strolls, depending on what your dog needs. You can feel confident knowing your pet will be cared for with patience, consistency, and kindness — as if they were my own.

I currently have an indoor rabbit and often look after my mums cocker spaniel. I work in term time as a teaching assistant three days a week but I am available after work on those days, I am available at weekends and anytime throughout the school holidays. I have pet sat for many friends and family since I was 14, including dogs, cats and rabbits. This has involved, walking, feeding, cleaning out and spending lots of time with them whilst their owner is out for the night or away on holiday. I absolutely love spending time with animals and I’ve always been comfortable around all animals.

About: My love for dogs started where my family kept our family horses, there were 3 dogs (beagle, springer & Romanian rescue) so I spent lots of time with the dogs. In 2021 I began a role as a Theatre Technician for a Veterinary referral hospital where I primarily looked after sterile services for the hospital but around this, I assisted the nurses and surgeons in caring for dogs in other areas of the practice of all sizes up to Great Danes and Bernese Mountains dogs! Since, I have done 21 sits through Trusted House Sitters, of which, 12 were dog sits. I am happy to share my 5 star reviews from these. I have sat for a range of dog breeds such as Poodles, Chihuahuas, Chow Chow, Husky, Dalmation, Pomeranian, Corgi, Greyhounds and more! Through house sitting I have looked after dogs with special requirements such as post spinal surgery. I have completed my pet first aid course. I currently available for care Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays anytime during the day/ evening and over night. Midweek I am available from 5pm onwards but I am willing to consider care outside of these times if I have prior warning. Holiday rate (Double Rate) applies for overnight sits going into and on the night of Bank Holidays & between the 22 December - 4th January. Rover does not let you specify dates for holiday rates, please note I will manually change the rate to reflect bank holiday rates upon booking request. I will often come to house sit with my husband who: - Has had cats his whole life too - Looks after his mums Bengal cat when she is away so is used to raw feed routines and unique species of cats. - Helped to care for Cassie’s FIV cat Rambo. - Owns 2 domestic long hair cats with me now - Has owned hamsters so is used to smaller animals and their needs - Tom I had hugely helped Cassie caring for her parents two horses over the years so is horse aware . Tom is happy to meet pet parents before a sit too. Please let me know if Tom coming with me to a sit will be an issue before booking / commencement of the sit. About: Hi! 👋 A little bit about me…I’ve grown up with animals in my life and have had pets since age of 5. Growing up on a farm, I’ve always naturally had an affinity for animals. I have experience looking after kittens, puppies, cats as well as dogs. I have been trusted to dog sit for friends and family for most of my adult life, but have been doing so professionally for the last few years. If you have any questions at all - feel free to message me. I currently work from home so have now got increased capacity to make weekly trips to look after other peoples pets. Hence I am opening my availability up to provide care for more pets. Caring for each pet is different and I am more than happy to meet requirements of each pet’s specific needs and routine alongside providing a watchful eye and fulfilling their personal interactive needs such as cuddles/petting, treats, and continuing their training as requested.

“Domhnall has just come home after a trial run with Linda. He’s very unhappy in kennels and howls and cries 24x7. It’s such a relief to know he’s with people who understand and care for him so that he feels secure and happy. My only worry is he might not want to come home 😂”

“Tracey has gone above and beyond with Tulia she's absolutely brilliant she's sent regular updates she's took her on lovely walks in the woods she's treated Tulia with so much love and care I will definitely recommend Tracey to be your choice I can assure you will be more than happy knowing your dogs in a loving home and safe and kind environment”

“We were very worried about leaving our 2 babies for the first time but Ebony and Reuben were absolutely amazing! Our dogs can be anxious but Ebony and Reuben’s calming nature really helped them to settle into their new environment really quickly. During our holiday we had regular updates and photos, communication was great which put us at ease so we could enjoy ourselves without worry. We can’t thank them enough, we would highly recommend and will certainly book again. Our dogs had a great time and came home a lot more relaxed than before. Thank you Ebony and Reuben :)”

“Shelby and her partner were incredible with Ava! Gave us plenty of updates and Ava was so relaxed and happy with them. Will definitely book again when we next need a dog sitter. Thanks guys.”

“Percy had a lovely stay with Aneta when we attended a wedding and he came back very chilled and happy. She was kind and thoughtful towards him and me ( firsts time of leaving him) and I would recommend her very much. We will definitely ask her to look after Percy in the future.”

“Claire and Liam looked after our dog Bella for 4 nights while we were away and she came back a very happy and tired dog! Their own two dogs are lovely and welcomed Bella nicely into the home. Claire and Liam clearly care a lot about dogs and it shows in all the adventures they took Bella on, the pictures the kept us updated with were exceptionally cute. Would definitely recommend 😀”

About: Dogs have always held a special place in my heart and I have experience with different breeds. I’ve always been around dogs and other animals and love caring for them. Our house has a lovely big garden and a separate area inside for dogs who might want their own space. I am currently at home during school hours so have plenty of time to play with your dogs and take them on walks. Boarding is available during the week and weekends. I have a large, fenced garden and one dog called Nettle who loves to play. However, there is a separate area for dogs who might want their own space. Our house is on a private road and in a quiet area with walks from the doorstep or a very short drive to gorgeous Peak District countryside.
About: Ever since a child we’ve had family dogs and cats. At one time we had 4 dogs, 12 cats, 2 horses and a 50 Holstein heifers! I love all kind of animals, wide knowledge with different breeds of dogs. I have veterinary care knowledge, and experience in dog behaviour. I’ve currently got two dogs, one cocker spaniel and one Labrador. They’re full of energy, happy and enthusiastic. That’s exactly what I love about them! I work full time on a dairy farm, available in the mornings and evenings. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, I am available all day to allow dogs to board. I have two fenced/walled gardens which are thoroughly secure. I have two dogs at home, they are dog friendly and love to play. Toilet breaks are available 0-2 hours. We live on a farm, so therefore there’s endless fields to walk through safely.
