Safety, trust & environment

Your pet’s wellbeing always comes first. I will only be caring for pets in their own home, where they feel safe and comfortable. I’ll make sure harnesses, collars, and leads are always fitted correctly before walks, keep your home clean and tidy during visits, and refresh food and water bowls as needed. I’ll also stick closely to your pet’s normal diet and routine, so everything feels familiar and stress-free while you’re away!

Information Jessica R. would like to know about your pet

It’s really helpful for me to know as much as possible about your pet before I care for them. This includes any medical needs; medications, or health conditions, as well as their diet, feeding times, allergies and portion sizes. I’d also like to know about their daily routine, favourite activities, and how much exercise they usually have, so I can keep things consistent. Information about their temperament and behaviour is important too. For example; how they get on with other dogs, cats, or new people, and whether they have any anxieties or triggers; ei such as fireworks. Even small details, like where they prefer to sleep or if they have a favourite toy, help me give them the most comfortable and stress-free care possible. Knowing walking habits are extremely important too, I need to be able to determine their exercise routine and make sure they’re safe in fields or roads, or wherever the walk frequents along with whether they are a harness wearer or not. I’d need to know what they’re like, if they’re distracted easily, a car/animal chaser or if they pick things up on their walks like sticks or general rubbish that you don’t want in your house. I need to know that whatever they may pick up is safe to retrieve from their mouths and that they won’t snap at me.

A typical day

A typical day with me is completely centred around your pet’s routine. I start by making sure they’re comfortable and settled after you leave, checking food and water bowls are refreshed, and giving them any morning walks or playtime they’re used to. Throughout the day, I’ll follow the same feeding times, walks, toilet breaks, and rest periods they normally enjoy, so everything feels consistent and familiar for them. I have always allowed time for cuddles, games and companionship. I’ll be making sure they get both mental stimulation and affection. If they’re a senior pet or need extra support, I’ll adapt the pace to suit them, ensuring their comfort and safety come first. Before the day ends, I’ll give them their evening meal or walk, settle them down as you would, and leave everything clean and tidy so you come home to a happy, relaxed pet.

Trusted Sitter with a Big Heart for Animals !

Pet care experience

I’ve always been surrounded by animals and have cared for both dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes; from playful pups to senior companions who need extra patience and love. I have a real soft spot for senior dogs and brachycephalic breeds, and I understand the special attention they deserve. As an 18 year old college graduate, I’m starting my career in animal care because looking after pets is more than just a job for me, it’s a passion! Friends and family know me as compassionate, loving, trustworthy, and reliable, and I bring those values to every animal I meet. I’ll provide daily walks and stick to your pet’s normal routine as much as possible, so they feel comfortable, secure, and cared for while you’re away. Whether your pet is large, small, young, or old, you can count on me to give them gentle care, plenty of affection, and the reassurance that they’re safe and happy.

Jessica dog sat for our needy staffy boy overnight. We were provided photos and updates while we were away to give us peace of mind as it’s not often we go away without him. He was well looked after and the house was spotless when we returned. Would definitely recommend Jessica and will be using her again in the future.

Jessica is the kindest, most caring and friendly person who is also very professional and reliable. She was dog-sitting for a week and during this time she would txt and send us updates with photos every day. Our dog has definitely been in good care and even must have been missing Jessica as she would often wonder to Jessica room looking for her. This just shows how great Jessica was with Lola. House on our return was clean and everything was in order. Most importantly Jessica is very easy to communicate with and respond really quickly to any messages. Also she was very happy to meet up with us more than once before her dog sitting. Highly recommend and looking forward to have her back!
