About Devon S.
Communication
Dog skills
Safety, trust & environment
On our first meeting we will have a chat about your dog, their medical needs, their dietary needs, and their behavioural challenges if any. Please bare in mind that if your dog is defensive and wary of strangers, I fully expect a muzzle to be properly fitted on first meeting. I also require you to share with me your veterinary practice's number. I am trained in veterinary care and canine first-aid, so in the event of an emergency your dog will be safe in my hands until they can get to the vet.
Information Devon S. would like to know about your pet
If your dog is reactive, fearful, or needs a muzzle when going outside you MUST let me know at our first meeting. The same goes for any medical conditions that need taking into account when it comes to exercise/ feeding. I love all dogs, big or small, and I'm not particularly concerned about breeds with a bad reputation so long as they have had basic training.
A typical day
Each dog is an individual with different needs and preferences. I will assess what kind of activities your dog prefers, whether that be exploring new smells at the park, going for a jog in the woods, playing with toys, or just going for a relaxing stroll at their pace.

Vet care/ behavioural trainer
Pet care experience
I AM ALL BOOKED UP FOR DOG SITTING IN JUNE, only available for walking and drop-ins until July. Experienced dog walker/ sitter, behavioural trainer. Qualified in basic veterinary medicine, canine nutrition + canine first-aid. I specialize in clients with reactive, fearful, or generally difficult dogs and I can provide references for previous clients whose dogs went from absolute nightmares to angels on the lead after a few weeks with me. I'm not put off by breeds with bad reputations such as bullies, chow chows, shepherds etc... with the right guidance and tools, any dog is manageable. I'm somewhat of a dog nerd, ask me about the history of the akita inu and I'll talk your ear off for hours if you let me! My favourite breeds include german/ dutch shepherds, malinois, australian cattle dogs, labradors, daschunds, jack russell terriers, rottweilers, akitas (american AND japanese), and of course, staffordshire bull terriers. All that being said... you can't beat a good mutt! Currently based in Nottingham, UK.
Reviews

Another positive experience with Devon walking Ruby, reliable with good communication, came home to a happy settled doggy 😊

Fantastic experience with Devon. He followed our instructions and recommendations, and Bruno was a very happy, sleepy boy when we came back!

Devon is an excellent dogsitter. Totally reliable, loves dogs and a good communicator. Would definitely seek him out again next time. 5 stars plus

Devon looked after our dog Angus for a little over a week while also house sitting for us. He sent regular updates and Angus clearly enjoyed his time with him. Devon's a keen enjoyer of the natural world and took Angus on some great local walks. When we came back the house was in good condition and Angus, while pleased to see us, was a bit sad to see him go I think!
