She can take a while to relax around people but the first evening of Elliot sitting her, he sent a photo of Lizzy doing the greyhound 'roach' (on her back legs in the air). Furthermore this was in the same room as Elliot. We knew then that Lizzy liked Elliot and was being well looked after. Elliot did regular updates with photos. He was happy for Lizzy to share the bedroom and made sure that she had her regular medication and walks. We think Lizzy was probably better behaved for Elliot than us 😊After a rough year for us, it was so good to know that Lizzy was happy and relaxed. Thank you Elliot! About: I’m new to professional pet sitting but I’ve always been comfortable around animals and grew up with a pet dog. Through my previous work in domiciliary care, I was also regularly around clients’ cats and dogs in their homes, which helped me become comfortable around different household pets. I’m a caring, patient and reliable person and I understand how important it is to treat someone’s pet and home with respect. I’m happy to follow your pet’s usual routine carefully, including feeding, walks, playtime and providing plenty of company and attention. I’m looking forward to gaining more experience and getting to know each pet and their individual personality. I also have experience spending time with my brother’s dog, Alfie, giving him attention and accompanying him on walks with my mum. I currently work Monday to Friday, so I’m mainly available for pet care at weekends. I’m happy to dedicate my Saturdays and Sundays to looking after pets, including drop in visits, walks and spending time with them. I’ll always make sure I have enough time available to give each pet the attention and care they need. When caring for pets in their owner’s home, I will follow all instructions and routines provided, including feeding, walks, playtime and any house rules. I’ll treat both your pet and your home with care and respect. I’ll make sure doors and gates are secure, keep an eye on your pet’s wellbeing and contact you if I have any concerns. I’m also happy to provide updates while you’re away so you know how your pet is getting on.

About: I have taken care of dogs of all sizes for many years. I have looked after puppies all the way up to senior dogs. I am confident around animals and have knowledge of pet first aid. I also have my own car to travel. I am a full-time student and work part-time. Please message me for monthly availability. I can have 0-2 lectures per weekday and am available until 10:30am on days when I am working. I often work evenings, so can be free during the day. Every week can be different for me, so I can be flexible! I have a fenced garden, and lots of outdoor spaces where I can walk your dog. If your dog likes company, my Labrador will be more than happy to join also!

Our dog had played so hard with a toy it ripped but Rachel sourced a new one for her knowing how much she likes playing with it! Alongside our practical experience, Shirley holds a Canine Communication Diploma, awarded with Distinction by the Centre of Excellence. We have access to private fields with no general public access, providing a fantastic environment for exercise and enrichment away from busy public spaces. We are also developing dedicated indoor and outdoor areas so dogs can have appropriate spaces for activity, rest and relaxation. We will always follow your instructions regarding feeding, walking, leads, routines, interaction with other dogs and any individual requirements. We never assume that because something is suitable for one dog it will be suitable for another. As we have dogs ourselves, introductions and compatibility are important to us. We want every dog in our care — including our own — to feel safe and comfortable. We are happy to discuss this fully and arrange an introduction before a stay where appropriate. About: I am an animal lover at heart and have always had a cat in my life. I currently have the lovely Melvin, a grey tabby cat. I love animals and getting to know their individual personalities. I have had experience of giving my family's elderly cats (17/18 years old) medicine and looked after small/medium dogs. We have used Cat in a Flat often and have found it really helpful especially for short trips away and last minute cat sitting needs. I look forward to finding out about your pets and what they need! If you have any questions, do not hesitate to get in touch! I'm currently working part-time and have a flexible work day so have plenty of time to drop by and spend some time with your pets. My weeks can vary from week to week. Depending on what your pet needs, I can adapt to this. I will keep all dogs on leads to ensure their safety especially as I get to know them.
