About: Hi! We’re Minx and Lewis — your friendly neighbourhood cat-sitting duo based in Burnley. We’re a couple who basically run on caffeine, cuddles, and cat hair, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Animals have always been a huge part of our lives, and for Minx, cats are a long-time special interest — which means extra enthusiasm, extra attention to detail, and an uncanny ability to understand even the most “mysterious” feline moods. We share our home (and most of our bed) with our own two purr-fect companions: Trico, our wise five-year-old gentleman, and Kyurem, our one-year-old chaotic goblin boy. They keep us humble…and very entertained. We’ve been pet sitting for friends and family for over a decade, and professionally for the last four years. Now, we’re excited to bring our love, experience, and reliability to other cat families who want their pets cared for just as thoughtfully as we care for our own. We are both currently self employed, giving us the freedom of my own schedule! We anre available 24/7 for pet requests and care, as long as I have ample notice. Specific care requests for each home are taken into consideration, such as if there are baby gates installed to prevent animals from going into certain rooms etc. For all day visits for dogs, they never leave our sight, to ensure their utmost protection!
About: I have a six year old German Shepherd and am well versed in taking care of larger dogs. I like to focus on enrichment and play. I work from home. So, I have plenty of free time and will gladly take any opportunity to get out the house! I am available most weekends, too. I am a responsible and organised person. I can follow instructions well and have good common sense. I will respect both you and your dog.
“Simone always does a fantastic job looking after Truffle. Simone is always very reliable and trustworthy. Truffle is always very relaxed with Simone and I always feel very relaxed knowing she’s being looked after”

About: I have taken care of dogs from a very young age. My family fostered dogs of all ages and breeds, meaning I have basically grown up around dogs. At home I have 2 dogs, a great dane cross and a greyhound whom i absolutely adore! I have several years of both basic and advanced training and am confident when handling and looking after dogs of all ages and need! I am currently on a gap year before studying veterinary medicine at university, so have plenty of time to care for and look after your furry babies! I work with each dog differently depending on their different needs, but care for them all the same! I can easily adapt to whatever you or your dog(s) want and still uphold a professional level of care.

“Every thing went perfectly. It’s the first time we have booked a pet sitter to stay with our dog and cat who are elderly and Hayley was great, keeping us updated and taking great care of our pets and our home. I would recommend her to anyone. Thank you so much,”

“Caroline did a fantastic job looking after my Bruno for a week. She is a pleasant and chatty lady who clearly loves animals. She sent me updates and pics every day. She is so good I have booked her again. Highly recommended”

About: We have taken care of dogs and cats since we were both in our teens, we are both animal lovers and will treat your animals like they are our own. We have have both owned a number of different breeds from small dogs such as Jack Russell’s to big dogs like huskies and we have a lot of experience with staffy’s. We are both trained in basic doggie first aid and CPR as well as fully insured ⛑️ so you can rest assured your dogs are in safe hands. Pet sitting and walking is my full time job and my partner works part time so we are both available most of the time. We don’t walk on Sundays. I have a back tat that has high walls and a high fence. We have the best of both World as we do not currently live together so we can accommodate dogs that do not get on with other dogs as Ella can stay either of our homes. We are fully insured for Dog walking and pet sitting and we can provide the proof of this.
“Louis is a very nice, well mannered lad. He looked after my dog and 3 cats. They all seemed happy when I arrived back home after a night away. He kept me updated of the cats whereabouts and Barney loved his company. My house was left just as tidy as I had left it, I will definitely be booking him again and would recommend him to anyone”

About: Dog lover doesn’t even cut it 🐕 My Grandma spent her life rehoming dogs of all kinds to the point of 20+ at any given time and my Mum is also a dog groomer with 20+ years of experience who currently has 8 dogs of her own. I’ve lived with, taken care of and owned dozens of different breeds throughout my life. So you could say that being a dog lover is in my blood! I regularly house sit for friends and family members, including the CEO of my business who owns a large farm with 3 dogs, 5 cats, sheep, chickens, rabbits and cows. She, like me, loves nothing more than her animals and puts her trust in me taking care of her beloved furry family members. If I am not free, she doesn’t go away, she doesn’t trust anyone else. Take a look through my gallery of photos and I hope my love and passion for dogs will be glaringly obvious! Your pets wellbeing is my upmost priority and I really hope to meet some of your furry family members very soon. I have a completely flexible full-time remote career on a working from home basis. I also have a full UK drivers license that I’ve had for over 12 years. I purchased my first home a couple of years ago. It is a semi-detached house with stairs and a fenced garden, we also keep the garden gate locked 90% of the time unless it’s bin day. I work from home so I am around all day to make sure they are well looked after and provide plenty of cuddles.
“Lucy has been amazing with Caesar, he looks like he has had the time of his life! Caesar was a lockdown puppy so never got the chance when young to socialise fully but in the space of a weekend Lucy has been able to introduce him to lots of friends and sent us lots of videos of him playing with the other dogs as well as our walking, and playing in the house. Lucy sent lots of regular updates of their travels and fun as well as to reassure us he was fine in the house. We definitely will be asking Lucy to look after Caesar again because she has been amazing with him and know we can go away worry-free knowing he will be having the best time.”

“Annabelle was very responsive and looked after our girls perfectly. Our Spaniel is very nervous but Annabelle established a good bond with her. Our Beagador loves everyone and was very relaxed throughout.”

“Lucas was new to Rover and stepped in last minute when our original house and pet sitter had to cancel. Lucas could not have done a better job from the moment we met him we were put at ease and confident in his abilities to care for our pets. He was tasked with looking after 3 delinquent doggies and a sphinx cat all with their own habits and quirky ways which did not deter him from saying yes! We were kept updated daily with photos and messages and even maps showing where he had taken the dogs for walks. Nothing was too much trouble he kept the house immaculate and watered the plants keeping them alive and well 🤣 We would 100% recommend Lucas to any prospective Rover clients 👌 Thank you ☺️”

Ribble Valley pet owners share their Rover experiences
Jasmine looked after my Frenchie Jack for a week in August. From the initial first message Jasmine was friendly & professional. We had 2 meet and greets before I went away where I found her to be attentive towards Jack and listened to me when I was explaining jacks routine & meditation plans. When I was away Jasmine kept Intouch daily, with messages and photos of Jack which put me at ease and I was able to enjoy my holiday knowing my fur baby was looked after. My home was kept clean and tidy throughout her stay and I came home last night to a well looked after dog and a clean house. I would highly recommend Jasmine and I definitely will be using her again for our next holiday.
