This is the first time we have left our dog Tia with anyone for a week, but now we have found Marnie and Eddie we wouldn't hesitate to leave her again. We had regular video and photo updates of Tia's mini holiday, so this helped us to enjoy holiday, know that see was being well cared for. Since we've come home, Tia's been very quite and we think she definitely missing them. We can't highly recommend and thank Marnie and Eddie enough, for giving Tia a loving home for a week.

Our puppy’s first stay for a day and night with someone else and it couldn’t have gone any better. Baz kept us regularly updated with photos, videos updates and our puppy looked like she was having a brilliant time. Put our minds at ease immediately and will definitely be using Baz again next time we need a dog sitter. Thanks

Mark and family are just fantastic. Daphne was looked after just like she had always been part of the family and loved having a big golden retriever buddy to run around after! We've rebooked already and I'm almost certain Daphne can't wait to stay again.

About: I have grown up with dogs and have cared for them throughout my life, including dogs belonging to friends and family. My experience includes walking, feeding, overnight stays and looking after dogs in my home for several weeks at a time. My wife and I would love to have a dog of our own, but our current circumstances do not allow us to make that permanent commitment. Boarding gives us the opportunity to enjoy the company of different dogs while giving each one a calm, comfortable and attentive stay. We are both relaxed, patient and happy to adapt to each dog’s personality and established routine. Any dog staying with us would be treated as part of the household and given plenty of company, affection and individual attention. My main motivation is simply to spend time with dogs and give them an enjoyable stay. Any earnings I receive after Rover’s fees will be donated to Dogs Trust. I run my own business and have a great deal of flexibility in how I organise my time, while my wife is retired, so someone is always at home. I enjoy walking and would naturally organise the day around the dog, with regular toilet breaks, a morning walk and a longer walk later in the day. I am also very happy to follow the dog’s normal routine. Our home is calm, clean, spacious and dog-friendly. We live in a large flat with a covered, dog-friendly balcony and access to an approximately half-acre, fully fenced grassy outdoor area for supervised toilet breaks, fresh air and play. We only care for dogs from one household at a time, so they receive plenty of attention in a relaxed environment. Dogs are welcome on the furniture and can sleep wherever they feel most comfortable, including in our bedroom if that matches their normal routine. We will follow all feeding, exercise, sleeping and care instructions carefully. We also send regular photos and updates so owners can feel reassured throughout their dog’s stay.

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover living in Higherford with my 14 year-old son, Billy. We both love spending time with dogs and treat every pet that stays with us as part of the family. We previously owned a lovely Whippet, so we understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your dog. We currently dog sit for friends and have loved every minute of it, so we’ve decided to open our home to more furry guests through Rover. Our home has a secure garden and is surrounded by beautiful countryside, making it the perfect place for plenty of walks, fresh air, and adventures. I enjoy fell walking and keeping fit, so your dog will get lots of exercise, attention, and affection. We also have our friendly tripod cat, Seth, who is used to dogs and can be kept completely separate from visiting pets if needed. I know every dog is different, so I’ll always do my best to stick to their usual routine and make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I can’t wait to meet you and your four-legged family member! 🐶 I work from home with a flexible schedule, so I’m around for most of the day to provide plenty of company, care, and regular toilet breaks. This also means I can adapt to your dog’s usual routine, whether they enjoy long walks, playtime, or simply relaxing with company. Your dog will rarely be left alone and will receive lots of attention throughout their stay. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I provide a calm, loving home where dogs are treated like part of the family. I have front and back gardens for fresh air and outdoor time, along with a bright conservatory that’s perfect for dogs who love to relax and soak up the sunshine. I work from home with a flexible schedule, so your dog will have plenty of company, regular toilet breaks, and lots of attention throughout the day. I always follow each owner’s instructions and routine to help every dog feel safe, settled, and at home

Jazmine looked after our cats for a few days over Christmas. She was lovely and felt she was trust worthy. She did some daily drop ins and was happy to follow the instructions I left for feeding and clearing the litter tray. We got daily photos which gave us some reassurance our cats were doing okay. Our house was as clean and tidy as we left it which was much appreciated. I would definitely recommend Jazmine and we will be using her again when we go away in the future.

We couldn't have asked for a better catsitter than Florence! She was absolutely wonderful with our older cat, Smokey, and put our minds completely at ease while we were away. Florence was incredibly reliable, prompt, and kept us updated with clear, frequent communication. We especially loved receiving photos of Smokey during every visit, which was such a lovely touch. We also really appreciated how she kept everything clean and tidy throughout her stay. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for attentive and professional care for their cat!

About: To introduce myself, my name is John, and I am a retired civil servant with 32 years of service. I am still not yet at State Pension age, having taken early retirement because I am financially secure now. I have no children. I am a non-smoker. I am in good health, but now prefer the quieter side of life and enjoy activities at a slower, more relaxed pace. I like to think of myself as a calm, neat, and tidy person. I am friendly, easygoing, with a good sense of humour. I am confident and able to handle situations and any complications that may unexpectedly arise. I have a deep love for animals and a passion for travel. Now that I am retired, I have more time on my hands to visit new places, travel, explore the countryside, and eat out. And because I am retired now, generally, I have some flexibility with the dates around which bookings are made. So, if your planned dates to be away change somewhat, I should be able to fit in with any unexpected changes in your departure and return dates. I am happy to arrive shortly before you leave so that I can meet and receive any instructions on any special requirements regarding the house and pets. At the end of the assignment, I would be happy to buy some bread and milk, etc., for you if you don't have a chance to go shopping on your return. Why I want to house sit: Unfortunately, I have no pets of my own because I live in an over-55s residential development where pets are not allowed. I would love to look after other people's pets, but I will always be sad to pass them back to their owner(s) after a while. My principal aim will be to ensure that your home and beloved furry companion(s) are cared for with utmost devotion. I have a strong moral compass, instinctively knowing right from wrong whilst continuously upholding those principles. My love for animals is endless, as I cherish all precious creatures. I enjoy the experience of getting to know a new pet's personality, along with visiting new places and meeting new people. I am looking forward to immersing myself in this environment and providing assistance to pet owners. Creating a warm and caring environment is important to me, where one can feel like a cherished member of the family while respecting the responsibility of caring for other people's homes and their beloved animals. I would welcome the opportunity to care for your home, garden, and pets with care, consideration, and affection. My experience: I have previously completed a number of pet-sitting assignments and really enjoyed the experience. I appreciated the trust these homeowners had placed in me and wanted to make this process enjoyable for them, knowing I had taken care of their home and the precious animals. I can send you the homeowner's five-star reviews for you to view if you wish

Louis did a fantastic job with our cat Pumpkin. He was responsive throughout the process and provided daily updates that were relevant and helpful. Louis was also flexible and was happy to do an extra visit when we were worried that Pumpkin was not eating enough. Furthermore, when Pumpkin made a mess, Louis took the initiative to clean it up as well. Louis arrived on time and notified us of any delays promptly. Louis fed and played with Pumpkin and also cleaned his litter well. We also felt that Louis was very comfortable and affectionate towards Pumpkin and it seems Pumpkin also took a liking to him! We will definitely book Louis again to look after our cat!

About: Dog lover doesn’t even cut it 🐕 My Grandma spent her life rehoming dogs of all kinds to the point of 20+ at any given time and my Mum is also a dog groomer with 20+ years of experience who currently has 8 dogs of her own. I’ve lived with, taken care of and owned dozens of different breeds throughout my life. So you could say that being a dog lover is in my blood! I regularly house sit for friends and family members, including the CEO of my business who owns a large farm with 3 dogs, 5 cats, sheep, chickens, rabbits and cows. She, like me, loves nothing more than her animals and puts her trust in me taking care of her beloved furry family members. If I am not free, she doesn’t go away, she doesn’t trust anyone else. Take a look through my gallery of photos and I hope my love and passion for dogs will be glaringly obvious! Your pets wellbeing is my upmost priority and I really hope to meet some of your furry family members very soon. I have a completely flexible full-time remote career on a working from home basis. I also have a full UK drivers license that I’ve had for over 12 years. I purchased my first home a couple of years ago. It is a semi-detached house with stairs and a fenced garden, we also keep the garden gate locked 90% of the time unless it’s bin day. I work from home so I am around all day to make sure they are well looked after and provide plenty of cuddles.

About: I love cats and my landlady has a black cat called Thomas, I am responsible for looking after him if the landlady is away, feeding him, giving him love and attention and so on. In the past I have done dog sitting for friends for weeks at a time and it is just so great for me to go out on big long walks in nature every day with a dog. I am definitely an animal person :) I am currently looking for part time work, I am therefore completely free at the moment and will still be very free even when working as it will just be a few hours per week. I am very engaging with pets, I make sure to feed them the correct food and correct amount, I know alot of people can overfeed pets and this is something I make sure not to do. If they have a set routine of meal times, play time, walking times, I am happy to stick with that routine. I am very clean and tidy, I cook alot and I always clean up. I am pretty quiet and chilled, a good person to be around your pets.

About: Hello! I’m a lifelong dog lover offering full-time dog sitting and walking services. Dogs have always been a massive part of my life. I was the proud owner of three wonderful Jack Russells. We spent years going on endless adventures, long walks, and exploring the outdoors together. Sadly, they have all since passed away, but having them in my life showed me just how much joy dogs bring to every day. Losing them made me realise that working with dogs isn't just something I love doing in my spare time, it's what I want to do full-time. Coming from a Jack Russell background, I know firsthand that dogs need both physical exercise and mental stimulation! Whether your dog loves energetic countryside strolls or gentle neighborhood sniffs, I’ll match their ideal pace. I treat every dog in my care like family, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and thoroughly loved while you're away. I’d love to learn all about your dog’s personality, daily routine, and favorite things. Feel free to send me a message so we can chat or set up a Meet & Greet Whether your dog thrives on an early morning trek, a mid-day leg stretch, or an evening stroll, I can completely adapt to their existing routine. I’m available to spend quality time with them throughout the day, making sure they feel relaxed and secure. Moving to a new environment can sometimes be overwhelming. I have a cozy, dedicated room set up specifically to help dogs settle in at their own pace until they feel completely confident and at ease. Our garden is completely fenced and secure, giving your dog a safe space to stretch their legs, sniff around, and enjoy some outdoor playtime with total peace of mind. Once they’re settled, they have complete freedom throughout the home! They are more than welcome to cuddle up on the furniture, lounge on the sofa, and make themselves right at home.

Love dogs, enclosed garden, won't be left any longer than you feel comfortable. Your dogs will have their own room at night I work at home so I'm always around the house. Lunchtime walk nearby and a long evening off lead walk (if allowed) at an enclosed field is our routine, as my dogs have a lot of energy to burn off. Dogs have an enclosed back garden, and I have a large front garden too. Your dog will have its own room at night away from our dogs. Lots of attention and won't be left any longer than you say. I have two dogs, Wispa and Mavis, who I see all day working from home. I walk my dogs at least twice daily, lunchtime and evening, and they are seldom left. I have a car so drive out for a walk every evening in an enclosed space to throw a ball. I have always owned dogs and have experience with many breeds and sizes. About: Hi, I’m Gabby! I’m 30 years old and a lifelong dog lover. I’ve grown up around dogs and I’m now the proud owner of my own cockapoo, Marley, who is 14 months old. Dogs are a huge part of my everyday life, and when I say my life revolves around them, it genuinely does! I love giving dogs the care, attention, exercise and affection they need to feel happy, relaxed and loved. Alongside caring for Marley, I regularly look after my dad’s two cockapoos (aged 14 months and 2 years old) when he’s working or away, as well as occasionally helping with my sister’s dog. I’m very comfortable caring for multiple dogs at once and understanding that every dog has their own personality, routine and individual needs. Marley is a very friendly, playful and sociable dog who loves meeting and spending time with other dogs. He is used to being around different breeds and personalities, which means any dog staying with us will have a friendly companion to enjoy walks, playtime and relaxation with (where appropriate). My dogs are walked several times a day, with at least four walks daily, alongside plenty of playtime, enrichment and outdoor adventures. I love being outdoors and spend a lot of my free time exploring the countryside, walking in the Lakes and going on hikes, so your dog will have plenty of opportunities for fun adventures and stimulating walks. I understand that dogs need more than just exercise — they need companionship, patience, mental stimulation and lots of affection. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of different temperaments and energy levels, from energetic dogs who love exploring, to those who prefer a calmer environment with lots of reassurance and cuddles. I work from home full time, which means I can offer lots of company, attention and flexibility throughout the day. Your dog will be welcomed into a caring environment where they can feel safe, comfortable and part of the family, with very little time spent alone. I know how much trust is involved when leaving your dog with someone, so I’ll always treat your pet as if they were my own. I’ll make sure they are happy, settled and well cared for, and I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you have peace of mind while you’re away. I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your dog and provide them with a fun, safe and loving experience! **A typical day with me** Your dog can expect a fun, relaxed and loving home\-from\-home experience that fits around their usual routine. I do understand every dog is different, so I’ll always take the time to learn their personality, habits, exercise needs and any little quirks! My day with Marley usually involves plenty of outdoor time, with walks in the morning, afternoon, evening and a final walk later in the evening. Walks are typically around 30–40 minutes and include plenty of opportunities for sniffing, exploring, play and enrichment. Where appropriate and with your permission, I’m also happy to include safe off lead time in suitable areas. I have a large fenced garden which gives dogs plenty of space to relax, play and enjoy some fresh air throughout the day. As I work from home full time, your dog will have lots of company, attention and regular interaction rather than being left alone for long periods. I love being outdoors and spend a lot of my free time walking, hiking and exploring the countryside, so dogs who enjoy adventures will have lots of fun! Marley is also very friendly and sociable and loves having other dogs around, so your dog can enjoy the company of a canine friend if they are comfortable with that! Throughout the day there will be a balance of walks, playtime, enrichment, cuddles and relaxing. I will keep the routine as normal as possible to the home life so they feel safe, happy and settled while they’re with me. I understand that leaving your dog with someone is a big decision, and I know how important it is to feel confident that they are in safe and caring hands. Having grown up around dogs and being a dog owner myself, I understand that every dog is unique and has their own personality, routine and individual needs. I always take the time to get to know each dog and make sure they feel comfortable, settled and cared for. Your dog will be joining a calm, dog-friendly home where Marley is the only dog living here. He is a very happy and friendly dog who enjoys having canine company. We also have a large, fully fenced garden that dogs can enjoy safely, and there are no children in the home. Your dog’s safety and wellbeing will always be my priority. I’ll follow your instructions carefully, including feeding routines, exercise preferences and any specific requirements that help your dog feel happy and secure. I know how much dogs mean to their owners, so I’ll treat every dog with the same love, patience and attention that I would want for my own. I’ll keep you updated with regular messages and photos, giving you peace of mind that your dog is enjoying their time with me and receiving the best possible care.

About: We are a friendly, reliable couple with a genuine love of dogs, animals and the outdoors. With three dogs of our own, dogs are very much part of our everyday lives, and we understand how important it is to find someone you can genuinely trust with a much-loved member of your family. Alongside our practical experience, Shirley holds a Canine Communication Diploma, awarded with Distinction by the Centre of Excellence. This complements our hands-on experience and helps us to understand canine communication, behaviour and the individual ways dogs express themselves. We also have experience through Pawsome Treks Adventure Services, our dog-walking service, which focuses on giving dogs stimulating outdoor experiences rather than simply a quick walk around the block. We love the outdoors and enjoy giving dogs opportunities to walk, explore, sniff and enjoy plenty of enrichment. We have three dogs ourselves and are fortunate to have access to private fields giving us fantastic opportunities for outdoor exercise and enrichment. We are also developing dedicated indoor and outdoor spaces to provide a comfortable environment for different dogs and their individual needs. Having two of us means there is plenty of opportunity for companionship, supervision and individual attention. We understand that every dog is different — from energetic adventurers to older dogs who simply enjoy a gentle wander and plenty of affection — and we adapt our approach accordingly. Above all, we want you to be able to leave your dog with us knowing they will be treated with kindness, patience and respect. We don't just look after dogs — we want them to genuinely enjoy their time with us. 🐾 Caring for dogs fits naturally into our everyday life. We have three dogs of our own, so walks, feeding, play, exercise and companionship are already part of our normal daily routine. We both enjoy being outdoors and can structure our days around the dogs in our care rather than trying to fit them into a busy schedule. Having two of us also means we can share responsibilities and give each dog plenty of individual attention, supervision and companionship. Through Pawsome Treks, we are used to planning our time around dogs and their individual exercise needs. Whether your dog enjoys a good outdoor adventure or a quieter routine with shorter walks and plenty of company, we are happy to adapt our day to suit them. Safety and trust are extremely important to us. We understand that leaving your dog with somebody new can be worrying, so we want owners to feel completely comfortable and confident about the care their pet will receive. We have access to private fields with no general public access, providing a fantastic environment for exercise and enrichment away from busy public spaces. We are also developing dedicated indoor and outdoor areas so dogs can have appropriate spaces for activity, rest and relaxation. We will always follow your instructions regarding feeding, walking, leads, routines, interaction with other dogs and any individual requirements. We never assume that because something is suitable for one dog it will be suitable for another. As we have dogs ourselves, introductions and compatibility are important to us. We want every dog in our care — including our own — to feel safe and comfortable. We are happy to discuss this fully and arrange an introduction before a stay where appropriate. We will provide responsible supervision, plenty of attention and a calm, caring environment, with your dog's welfare always coming first.

About: I’ve been in love with animals since I was little, I’ve studied animal behaviour and biology for three+ years at university and did and animal management course in college. I myself have three kitties who are my life, now I moved to university I don’t get to see them as much so I’m wanting to fill that void and look after/walk other peoples babies. I’ve walked dogs throughout my childhood and into being an young adult due to so much work experience with college and university, I think my experience will keep your mind at ease because I have a log of experience with dogs. Right now I’m part time working, I have specific days off which are Tuesday and Wednesdays. When I am working I had 4-5 hour shifts so can fit around that. My shifts are done couple weeks in advance so I can schedule in advance if needs be If it is for a couple hours board I have space for a crate if needed, I do live in an apartment and would only be able to take on small dogs but I have near a lot of fields and walking paths I will be able to take the dog out as frequently as you would like. Walking wise I love walking myself so your pup will get the exercise it needs whilst you are away

About: I am a training veterinary student with a lifelong passion for dogs and hands-on experience caring for them in a variety of settings. Growing up with dogs has given me a strong understanding of their behaviour, daily care needs, and the importance of patience and consistency when handling animals. Over the years, neighbours and family friends have regularly relied on me to visit, walk, feed, and care for their dogs while they were away, which has helped me develop responsibility, trustworthiness, and confidence working independently with animals. I have also cared for young puppies, including feeding, socialising, cleaning, and monitoring their wellbeing, which has strengthened my understanding of early development and animal welfare. Through both my personal experience and veterinary training, I have developed skills in animal handling, communication, observation, recognising signs of stress or illness, and providing attentive, compassionate care.

Although I am available at you first asking it is not a definite booked unless payed to Rover and will be marked as still available till then. I do not get paid for any booking till after it has been completed. I live in a quiet area and I have a fenced back garden. I live 2 minutes from a lovely woodland park and large green space to run & play.

Jade was amazing with Caesar, she came to meet him in the week before taking him out so he was familiar with her, and we knew he would be in safe hands with Jade! She took him on a few walks and sent lots of pictures of him having the best time and hope he can play out with her again soon!

Thanks

Absolutely — here’s a warm, glowing version that really highlights how brilliant they were: Sharron and Steve were absolutely incredible looking after Dexter! From the moment I dropped him off, they completely put my mind at ease and I knew he was in the best possible hands. Dexter is a very energetic spaniel, but they took everything in their stride and gave him so much love, attention and care during his stay. It was clear from the updates and photos that Dexter was having the absolute best time, and he came home happy and settled — it was obvious he had thoroughly enjoyed himself! I honestly couldn’t have asked for better sitters, and I’m so grateful for how wonderfully they looked after him. Thank you so much for everything, Sharron and Steve. You were both absolutely brilliant, and I would 100% recommend you to anyone. We will definitely be coming back in the future! ❤️

I was reluctant to leave my dog Ralph with a stranger at first. He is very much a loved member of the family. We was stuck as our daughter couldn't have him so I thought I'd give Rover a try, where we found Duncan (I didn't want him in the kennels). So glad I did. Ralph has had his very own holiday for a week! Duncan gave him so much love and attention, the daily updates as requested made us smile. You can tell he is an animal lover and takes his job very seriously. I hope in future Duncan has availability as he will be my first choice. 10/10 lovely guy

Poppy and family took great care of Monty for two weeks. We were unsure of using Rover at first, but we contacted Poppy who arranged an initial face to face and set our minds at rest. Monty takes a while to settle with new surroundings, but Poppy sent plenty of updates and photos. Would definitely recommend!

About: We have taken care of dogs and cats since we were both in our teens, we are both animal lovers and will treat your animals like they are our own. We have have both owned a number of different breeds from small dogs such as Jack Russell’s to big dogs like huskies and we have a lot of experience with staffy’s. We are both trained in basic doggie first aid and CPR as well as fully insured ⛑️ so you can rest assured your dogs are in safe hands. Pet sitting and walking is my full time job and my partner works part time so we are both available most of the time. We don’t walk on Sundays. I have a back tat that has high walls and a high fence. We have the best of both World as we do not currently live together so we can accommodate dogs that do not get on with other dogs as Ella can stay either of our homes. We are fully insured for Dog walking and pet sitting and we can provide the proof of this.

My golden doodle, Jimmy, had an overnight stay with Alex in her home. I was very happy with the service she provided. She is clearly an experienced dog sitter and was very attentive to all of his needs. She sent us texts, a video and photos so that I knew Jimmy was behaving himself, which was very reassuring. When I arrived to collect Jimmy, he was stretched out on her windowsill, enjoying the sunshine, and was very relaxed. I would highly recommend her as a dog sitter and we have booked Jimmy in to spend 9 days with her in September. I can now look forward to my holiday and feel confident that my dog will be absolutely fine and well looked after by Alex whilst we are away.

About: I’ve cared for dogs for over 12 years, having grown up with a Labrador and a mixed-breed dog. We are a young couple and now have a super friendly 7-month-old Cavapoo, so we understand the time, patience and attention dogs need every day. We're comfortable with walks, feeding, playtime, toilet breaks and giving dogs lots of love and attention. We'll treat every pet as if they were our own and make sure they feel safe, happy and comfortable. Both me and my husband work full-time from home, so we have plenty of flexibility throughout the day to give your dog lots of attention, care and company. Dogs are never left alone and will have regular playtime, toilet breaks, walks and plenty of cuddles. We’re also available for boarding and are happy to follow your dog’s usual routine as closely as possible. We have a secure, fully fenced garden and a friendly 7-month-old Cavapoo who loves having company. We have two large parks just a 10-minute walk away, as well as lovely quiet walking routes nearby. Dogs are never left alone and are always supervised and treated as part of the family, with plenty of attention, exercise and cuddles. We’re happy to follow your dog’s usual routine and accommodate their individual needs, including feeding, medication and regular toilet breaks.
