About: I’ve been surrounded with dogs my whole life from looking after my grandparents dogs from very young. To getting our own family dog and training him as puppy to taking care of him in his later stages of life. We have a large enclosed gardens which is ideal for playing with dogs. I also been dogging sitting the past year in America, welcoming all shapes and sizes which I’ve throughly enjoyed ! It fits perfectly into my routine, I’m extremely flexible and can work around each individual dog’s needs. Giving them plenty of love, attention and walks. I have a big fenced garden which is great for dogs to run around and play in. Our home has always been dog friendly, which we can tailor to the needs of each individual dog.

About: I'm experienced in caring for both cats and dogs, and especially passionate about giving excellent care to older and/or medically complex pets. I love the wide variety in cat behaviour, whether they are happiest just existing in the same room, or sitting on my lap, I am always happy to take care of them. While I love all types of dogs, I'm best suited to dogs with less intensive exercise needs, such as smaller breeds or elder dogs. To give more information about my experience taking care of animals, I began with taking care of my neighbour's cat when they went on holiday. Even once her owners were back from holiday, we got into a routine where the cat would wait on the front doorstep every day for me to give her chin scritches. My interest in taking care of medically complex pets comes from personal experience, as my family dog suffered a spinal cord injury a few years ago. Luckily, after excellent vet care, he has an excellent quality of life and is very happy, just with shorter walks than before and regular pain-management medication. I'm very happy to take care of pets that need a little extra attention and support, whether that is with medication, toileting, pain management, and anything else your pet needs support with. I'm most comfortable house-sitting, as this guarantees your pet will receive love and care whenever they need it. I can also travel for drop-in visits and walks. I'll probably ask a lot of questions just to make sure their is minimal disruption to your pets regular lifestyle, and will of course send plenty of updates and photos while taking care of them. I work remotely and flexibly, so can build my routine around your pets' needs. I'd appreciate if you can tell me of their usual routine in advance. I will care for your pets as you do! It depends upon the individual pet and their usual routine - whether it's a cat that roams as they wish, a dog that has specific walk times, or anything in between. I trust that you know what is best for your pet, and will always to my best to minimise any disruption to their usual routine and lifestyle. I understand that some pets can find it stressful to be taken care of by a new person, and am always happy to do home visits ahead of your trip so that we can make sure that I am the right person to take care of your pet.

About: I have been around animals all my life, having had dogs and cats, as well as hamsters. I look after my sister's dog when I can, she is a yellow Labrador. This also includes house-sitting at their house in London. I also sometimes look after my aunt and uncle's dogs (Labradors and a Sheep Dog) at their house in the Lake District. I have been a member of Borrow my Doggy in the past to help look after dogs or take them for walks. I use Trusted House Sitters for when I want to go further away from home and have stayed at homes with multiple animals including dogs, cats and sheep. I don’t have any pets of my own at the moment due to accommodating limitations, but I plan on getting them when I am able to. Some of the pets I have looked after recently: - Bozo: he was a gentle giant and I miss him very much, I only knew him as an older dog but he was always up for a walk and would communicate when he'd had enough. - Winnie: an energetic young lab, loves walks and playing fetch. I've looked after her both in the Cotswolds and in London. - Juniper: a loving black lab, she's so affectionate and is always climbing on my lap. Not a huge fan of the rain which doesn't help when she lives in the Lake District! But she's always the first in the sea when at the beach. - Polly: an older girl who is more of a cat to be honest, she loves spreading out in the sun or in front of the fireplace. She's not as active as she used to be so prefers being left at home for longer walks, but will have a good run around the garden. - Willow: a French Bulldog. I spent three weeks looking after her while her owners were abroad. She’s the sweetest pup and was crazy for a tennis ball. We went on many adventures and walks around the countryside. I work in Education and am also a student. I am often up early in the morning and would love to fit in some visits around work. I have flexible working and work from home benefits so I can work from your home with plenty of breaks, or do a half day at home and half at work. My weekends and evenings are mostly free so plenty of time then too. I am unable to take pets in my accommodation so am not able to host. However for owner’s homes I am always respectful of property, I clean up after myself and bring minimal belongings. I like clear instructions/guidance on what each pet needs and will always follow these.

Your house sit would be no different. I have been used to global pet sits of 1 to 2 months at a time, but equally, as I type, I'm sharing the sofa with a new furry pal in Suffolk for the week. It is unlikely that I would take any offers below 7 days. I am looking for pet sits during vacation from work. As such, my schedule would be adaptable to best match that of your beloved pet. I'm happy to explore the local woods & surroundings for up to 3hrs, dependent on the needs of your dog, and would keep to all of their normal scheduled meal / rest times. I like to pet sit to be with the pets, it is that simple. I could fly away and lay on the beach for a week or so, or maybe take myself away to the nearest ski resort, but that is nowhere near enjoyable as plotting a route to explore the woods using Ordinance Survey Apps with a new pal by my side, or playing fetch, tug or grooming. And I don't know why, but a nice pint in a quintessential British pub always tastes better with a pal at your heels.
