For cat pop-in visits, I offer flexible morning, afternoon, and evening slots. Each visit includes essentials like feeding, fresh water, litter cleaning, and a check on your cat’s wellbeing, along with plenty of affection, playtime, or quiet companionship depending on their personality. Alongside this, dog boarding is fully integrated into my routine at home. Dogs in my care are treated like part of the family, with regular walks, feeding schedules, playtime, and lots of love and attention throughout the day. I ensure they have a safe, comfortable, and calm environment where they can settle in and feel at home. Pet care is never something I rush or fit in around other priorities—it’s something I genuinely enjoy and take pride in. About: I have grown up with dogs and have always loved being around them. Honestly, I probably like dogs more than humans. Dogs have always been a big part of my life, so looking after them feels natural and enjoyable to me. Back at my mum’s home, we have a Beagle, and I also have a Cockapoo. I understand that every dog has their own personality, habits and routine, and I’m happy to give them the attention, patience and care they need. My children would love for us to have another dog, but before making that commitment, I thought it would be lovely to spend more time with dogs through pet sitting. I’m therefore looking forward to welcoming another furry friend to play with, go for walks and keep company. I’m comfortable with feeding, walking, playing, giving plenty of cuddles and following your pet’s normal routine and instructions. I’m also happy to spend extra time with dogs who need companionship or reassurance while their owners are away. Most importantly, I will treat your dog as if they were part of my own family. About: I have taken care of many of my friends dogs whilst they go on holiday(s) over the last 5 years. This has included two beautiful, high energy spaniels and older Dachshunds. I work from home and have a spaniel myself so I’m constantly out and about making sure they have the best day. I wake up around 5.45 on week days and take George (my spaniel) on a nice 5k walk along the canal. I work from home so will get my morning meetings out of the way, let George out in the back yard in between. I usually walk to the local park at lunch which is around 2.5k round trip. And after work, depending on what I have planned we usually are out and about places. Quick walk around the block just before we go to bed. I have a fenced yard. Plenty of room in the kitchen to keep a cage. A ring camera that overlooks into the kitchen for if I need to nip out to the shops. And George is the most loving companion, he has been so socialised since I’ve had him that he loves having other dogs over for sleepovers.

Alongside our practical experience, Shirley holds a Canine Communication Diploma, awarded with Distinction by the Centre of Excellence. This complements our hands-on experience and helps us to understand canine communication, behaviour and the individual ways dogs express themselves. We also prefer focusing on giving dogs stimulating outdoor experiences rather than simply a quick walk around the block. We love the outdoors and enjoy giving dogs opportunities to walk, explore, sniff and enjoy plenty of enrichment. We are also fortunate to have access to private fields giving us fantastic opportunities for outdoor exercise and enrichment, whilst also providing indoor and outdoor spaces to cater for a better environment for any lovable pet and their individual needs. Having two of us means there is plenty of opportunity for companionship, supervision and individual attention. We understand that every dog is different — from energetic adventurers to older dogs who simply enjoy a gentle wander and plenty of affection — and we adapt our approach accordingly. We never assume that because something is suitable for one dog it will be suitable for another. As we have dogs ourselves, introductions and compatibility are important to us. About: I have looked after a variety of dogs and my 2 fur babies are a Siberian Husky, who loves to play with other dogs and a Patterdale Terrier, who just loves to be warm and cosy under the covers! I have great areas around me for dog walking and my house and garden are fully secure. I love having cuddles with dogs and I am happy to share my bedroom or bed with dogs if they are used to this and it makes them feel more secure. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. I am available at weekends to look after your fur babies starting from Friday evening to Sunday evening. I will also be available more in school holidays as I work as a teacher. I have a fenced secure garden and house. They will be treated as part of the family. I am flexible in terms of what your dog needs.
