About: I’ve been a pet sitter all over the world and have cared for all kinds of animals, from goats and budgies to Great Danes. I’m experienced with reactive dogs, larger breeds, and pets with different personalities and needs, although most of my experience is with cats and dogs. I truly love all animals, and nothing makes me happier than a home full of fur family. Since I don’t have pets of my own at the moment, I feel very lucky to be able to give all that love and care to yours. I’m currently studying from home, so pet care fits in very naturally with my daily routine. I love getting out for walks in the morning, afternoon, and evening, which means pets in my care get plenty of attention, exercise, and company throughout the day. My afternoon walk is usually at least two hours, while morning walks tend to be around 30 to 60 minutes, so I’m well set up for dogs who enjoy regular outdoor time I always aim to make pets feel safe, settled, and loved, whether they are in my home or their own. I take time to understand each pet’s usual routine, including feeding, walks, medication, sleeping arrangements, and any behavioural needs, so I can keep things as familiar and stress-free as possible. I’m very mindful of safety on walks and in the home, especially with reactive dogs or larger breeds, and I always make sure pets are secure, comfortable, and well supervised. In a pet owner’s home, I treat both the space and the animals with great respect, keeping everything clean, calm, and consistent. My goal is always to give pets plenty of attention, affection, and reassurance so they feel happy and cared for while you’re away.

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover living in Higherford with my 14 year-old son, Billy. We both love spending time with dogs and treat every pet that stays with us as part of the family. We previously owned a lovely Whippet, so we understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your dog. I have front and back gardens for fresh air and outdoor time, along with a bright conservatory that’s perfect for dogs who love to relax and soak up the sunshine. About: I have taken care of many of my friends dogs whilst they go on holiday(s) over the last 5 years. This has included two beautiful, high energy spaniels and older Dachshunds. I work from home and have a spaniel myself so I’m constantly out and about making sure they have the best day. I wake up around 5.45 on week days and take George (my spaniel) on a nice 5k walk along the canal. I work from home so will get my morning meetings out of the way, let George out in the back yard in between. I usually walk to the local park at lunch which is around 2.5k round trip. And after work, depending on what I have planned we usually are out and about places. Quick walk around the block just before we go to bed. I have a fenced yard. Plenty of room in the kitchen to keep a cage. A ring camera that overlooks into the kitchen for if I need to nip out to the shops. And George is the most loving companion, he has been so socialised since I’ve had him that he loves having other dogs over for sleepovers.

About: We are a friendly, reliable couple with a genuine love of dogs, animals and the outdoors. With three dogs of our own, dogs are very much part of our everyday lives, and we understand how important it is to find someone you can genuinely trust with a much-loved member of your family. Alongside our practical experience, Shirley holds a Canine Communication Diploma, awarded with Distinction by the Centre of Excellence. This complements our hands-on experience and helps us to understand canine communication, behaviour and the individual ways dogs express themselves. We also have experience through Pawsome Treks Adventure Services, our dog-walking service, which focuses on giving dogs stimulating outdoor experiences rather than simply a quick walk around the block. We love the outdoors and enjoy giving dogs opportunities to walk, explore, sniff and enjoy plenty of enrichment. We have three dogs ourselves and are fortunate to have access to private fields giving us fantastic opportunities for outdoor exercise and enrichment. We are also developing dedicated indoor and outdoor spaces to provide a comfortable environment for different dogs and their individual needs. Having two of us means there is plenty of opportunity for companionship, supervision and individual attention. We understand that every dog is different — from energetic adventurers to older dogs who simply enjoy a gentle wander and plenty of affection — and we adapt our approach accordingly. Above all, we want you to be able to leave your dog with us knowing they will be treated with kindness, patience and respect. We don't just look after dogs — we want them to genuinely enjoy their time with us. 🐾 Caring for dogs fits naturally into our everyday life. We have three dogs of our own, so walks, feeding, play, exercise and companionship are already part of our normal daily routine. We both enjoy being outdoors and can structure our days around the dogs in our care rather than trying to fit them into a busy schedule. Having two of us also means we can share responsibilities and give each dog plenty of individual attention, supervision and companionship. Through Pawsome Treks, we are used to planning our time around dogs and their individual exercise needs. Whether your dog enjoys a good outdoor adventure or a quieter routine with shorter walks and plenty of company, we are happy to adapt our day to suit them. Safety and trust are extremely important to us. We understand that leaving your dog with somebody new can be worrying, so we want owners to feel completely comfortable and confident about the care their pet will receive. We have access to private fields with no general public access, providing a fantastic environment for exercise and enrichment away from busy public spaces. We are also developing dedicated indoor and outdoor areas so dogs can have appropriate spaces for activity, rest and relaxation. We will always follow your instructions regarding feeding, walking, leads, routines, interaction with other dogs and any individual requirements. We never assume that because something is suitable for one dog it will be suitable for another. As we have dogs ourselves, introductions and compatibility are important to us. We want every dog in our care — including our own — to feel safe and comfortable. We are happy to discuss this fully and arrange an introduction before a stay where appropriate. We will provide responsible supervision, plenty of attention and a calm, caring environment, with your dog's welfare always coming first.

About: I’ve taken care of/ owned lots of doggos, love walking and I have a lot of love for all kinds of dogs, I grew up with Rottweilers so not afraid of big doggy’s and only work part time so any dogs that stay will be with me all day and get lots of love. Only willing to have the one pup when my crazy spaniel is home but happy to have two when she’s away so I can put my full love and attention into the dogs and so your dog won’t get overwhelmed. I’ve looked after senior dogs and puppies so used to the chaos of them both!!! I’ve got a lot of love to give and hope you put your trust in me to take your furr baby we will both keep each other company while my partner is away ❤️ I Work half a day Friday and a full day Saturday but can take dogs from Saturday evening after 5:30 pm contact me if you would need dog care on those days in advance and I might be able to take them on a Saturday :) Our spaniel is taken out for a walk morning and evening and let out early morning and late night we don’t have a garden but we are in the middle of the Yorkshire dale and have a park over the road from us so toilet time isn’t hard we also take our pup to doggy fields a lot to let of steam which will happen if your dog stays with us

About: I have looked after a variety of dogs and my 2 fur babies are a Siberian Husky, who loves to play with other dogs and a Patterdale Terrier, who just loves to be warm and cosy under the covers! I have great areas around me for dog walking and my house and garden are fully secure. I love having cuddles with dogs and I am happy to share my bedroom or bed with dogs if they are used to this and it makes them feel more secure. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. I am available at weekends to look after your fur babies starting from Friday evening to Sunday evening. I will also be available more in school holidays as I work as a teacher.
