“Ash (and Arlo) did a wonderful job looking after Eddie for a week. Ash is incredibly caring, attentive, and clearly treated Eddie as if he was her own. I felt completely reassured knowing he was in such kind and capable hands. The service was excellent from start to finish, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ash to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter. Thank you so much Ash”

“We cannot thank Jacqui enough for the wonderful care she gave our 4‑month‑old puppy Snuggle while he stayed away from home. From the very start, we felt completely at ease—Jacqui is so warm, trustworthy, and clearly has such a loving way with dogs 💖 What made it extra special was how thoughtfully she kept us involved: she sent regular updates with lovely photos, sweet videos, and detailed notes about how Snuggle was doing, what he’d been up to, and how settled he felt. It meant the world to us to see our little one happy and safe, and we never felt out of the loop at all! Jacqui’s home is such a caring, welcoming place—Snuggle was loved and looked after as if he were her own. We would 100% recommend Jacqui to all our family and friends without any hesitation, and we will definitely be using her services again in the future! Thank you for everything, Jacqui—you’re brilliant! 🐾❤️”

“Susan is amazing. We couldn't have wished for a better sitter for our baby Lilly. Susan made sure Lilly had all her needs met and went above and beyond to make her stay eventful and enjoyable (with lots of walks, play and cuddles). Daily updates were a joy to get. We enjoyed our holiday knowing that Lilly was having the best time. If you are looking for someone that is not just a sitter but makes your dog part of their family Susan is the person for you. We love you Susan. Thank you for everything ❤️”

About: I have been a fan of dogs my whole life, have owned dogs in the past, and currently share responsibilities of caring for a male boxer cross with a friend. For the last 10 years I have been a reliable port of call for family, close friends, friends of friends and neighbours when a short-term solution is needed. Since hearing about Rover.com recently, I decided to reinstate this account and start offering these services to a wider audience. I work full-time, but only a 5 minute walk from home and will never leave a dog unattended for longer than 4 hours as a rule. My work hours at the office are 8:30-17:00 Mon-Thurs with an hour long break at midday, and 8:30-12:30 on Fridays. I usually use my weekends for hiking so can tailor walks to suit individual dogs and/or take specific exercise requests from owners. I have a high-fenced, secure garden with adequate space and shade and trustworthy, retired neighbours either side of my terrace. On pleasant days when I am required to be in-office, I will often leave Fred (my shared boxer-cross) outside with a big bowl of water so he can relax in the sun (or shade) at his leisure. With regards to overnight stays, it is a preference that dogs stay downstairs in either my kitchen or living room, but I can be flexible if certain dogs display any form of separation anxiety. Any dogs staying in my home must have been treated for fleas as standard so as not to jeopardise future pets from picking up hitch-hikers on their staycation.
“Ellie and Aurelian were great with Lilah! They took her for fun walks and a beach outing and sent photos daily of their adventures. Our dog was clearly happy and smiling from all the love and attention she received!”

“Jessica and James were outstanding hosts and gave a great impression of how Rover hosts are. We had continuous updates and photos during the day and evening, which was super reassuring for both of us. Maltie persuaded our hosts to allow her to sneak into their bedroom, then jumped onto the bed in the night!! Her favourite place. When collecting Maltie, information was passed back as were all of her belongings. Top star hosts and would definitely use Jessica and James again without any hesitation. Maltie is still very tired, which is good for us. Thank you for looking after Maltie, Jessica and James”

“Dawn was extremely accommodating and really helpful supporting a last minute booking including a quick visit prior to the booking. Harvey (my beagle) was really happy with Dawn and her children, enjoying his walks and plays! Dawn kept me updated regularly with photos and videos which reinforced how content he was. Nothing seemed too much, including a late night collection time. Thanks so much!”

“As always, Adina and her family have taken excellent care of our dog Cocoa! We have been so lucky to have them, as they truly love Cocoa and make sure she has the best time with them. From playing with her, giving her lots of cuddles, to making sure she eats well - they always treat her like she’s part of the family. Cocoa is always so excited to be with them ❤️ I can’t recommend Adina highly enough!”

About: I’m a mum to two little boys and work part time as a nurse in Skipton. I have a DBS check through work. I have two current cats but have been around cats all my life. I have two Ragdolls and previously had two British Shorthairs so I am used to caring for a multi-cat household. I’ve had cats all my life and know the importance of making sure they are cared for whilst you are away. I also know the importance of photos and video updates whilst you're away to ensure peace of mind. I'd also be happy to do other jobs such as putting out bins, watering plants etc. I'd be happy to cover Guiseley, Menston, Burley in Wharfedale, Baildon and Ilkley :)

“Annabel was absolutely wonderful looking after Loki and Freya! It was so reassuring to receive regular photo updates and see how happy and settled they were. She really took great care of them, and we came home knowing they’d been in safe and loving hands. We’d happily recommend Annabel and would definitely book her again! ❤️🐾”

“Our first time using Lisa as our cat sitter couldn't have been better. Lisa is a lovely person who sent daily messages which was so helpful and reassuring. Would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter. She is very responsible and trustworthy. Thanks, Rosie!”

“Morgan looked after my cat for a little over a week and I could not have wished for a better sitter. Morgan put me at ease with his kind demeanour and genuine love for animals. By the end of the period, I was starting to wonder who my cat liked more, me or Morgan! Couldn’t recommend him more highly.”

“Emily has been an absolute star with our cats! They loved interacting with her from the very first visit. Even our most shy cat didn’t run away (which says a lot!). Everything was easy, from communication to the way she spent time with the cats and she handled their little mischiefs with care and good humour. ”

“Bon was very good with our boys, very conscience to their needs and gave them lots of fuss and attention. We were updated everyday and had lots of photos and videos. Will definitely use Bon again.”

About: I have been on rover since November 2023 and as massive dog lovers, we are having the time of our lives looking after other people's pets. Look at our reviews to see how happy and content all your pets are with us. I have recently started house sitting in your home too. I have had dogs all our life and been surrounded by dogs in the family since childhood. I have a Labrador called Bella who is 7, she is great with other dogs and very well behaved. She is a real pampered pooch, regularly exercised and has lots of cuddles. Unfortunately we lost Ted our 8 year old Labrador to cancer in September 24, you will most likely read a lot about him in our reviews. We now have Nelly who is a 1 year old lab. Both are great with dogs, however they don’t always have to come to your house when I am dog sitting, sometimes they can stay at home. Monday to Friday Maria works from home so your pooch will have lots of company and cuddles. I work local to home for lunchtime walks. On evening and weekends I run or walk with Bella, so your dog will get plenty of exercise. We have a large enclosed garden for safety , Bella sleeps downstairs in the kitchen or living room, your dog can sleep up or downstairs.

“Our dog absolutely loves Ashleigh and gets so excited to see her! And her dog Arlo! She took Tiny out on a big adventure and sent lots of photos and updates, which we loved. I would definitely recommend her. You can tell that Ashleigh really loves looking after your dog, which is exactly what you want in a pet sitter!”

“Arlo had a lovely first stay with Daisy and her other dog visitor Bucky. Daisy felt confident to give him off lead time and a lovely long walk and play. He came home happy and sleepy.”

About: What sets us apart from other sitters is the warm, home-from-home environment we provide. We’re a dog-loving household, and with my retired mum at home during the day, there’s always someone around to give your dog plenty of love and attention. Our two friendly, well-socialised dogs also help new dogs feel settled and part of the family from the start. We have experience with dogs of all ages — from playful puppies to gentle seniors — and we always adapt our care to suit each dog’s needs. Whether it’s supporting with basic training, administering medication, or providing a calm space for older dogs to relax, we’re committed to making sure every dog feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I work full-time from home in a corporate role, so I’m around all day to provide consistent care and attention. On weekdays, I take my 4-year-old female Labradoodle out for a longer walk around 8am, and again in the evening around 5pm. Although I don’t have a garden, I’m only a 2-minute walk from Yeadon Tarn, so I can easily take dogs out frequently throughout the day for toilet breaks, short walks, or exercise. At weekends, we start the day with a longer walk in the morning, and dogs will usually join me in whatever I’m doing during the day, while still having plenty of rest time at home if preferred. I always prioritise each pet’s safety, comfort, and routine. In my home, pets are supervised and cared for in a calm, clean environment, with plenty of attention and regular walks throughout the day. I follow any instructions provided by the owner closely, including feeding routines, medication, and preferred walking habits.

About: Having grown up surrounded by dogs of various breeds, sizes, and temperaments, caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life. From an early age, I developed a strong understanding of canine behaviour, routines, and the individual needs that make every dog unique. Over the years, I have regularly looked after dogs for neighbours, friends, and family members, providing attentive care, companionship, exercise, feeding, and maintaining established routines. These experiences have allowed me to build confidence working with a wide range of personalities, from energetic and playful dogs to those who are older, more reserved, or require extra patience and reassurance. I understand the importance of trust when caring for someone else’s pet and am committed to providing a safe, reliable, and nurturing environment where dogs feel comfortable, secure, and well cared for. My goal is always to ensure that every dog receives the same level of attention, affection, and respect that I would give to my own pet, while giving owners complete peace of mind. I have recently completed my college studies and, as I am due to begin university in September, I currently have a highly flexible schedule with no ongoing commitments. This allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care, whether that involves regular walks, daytime visits, overnight stays, or accommodating specific routines and needs. During this period, I am available throughout the week and can offer reliable, consistent care with a high degree of flexibility. I understand how important it is for owners to know their pets are receiving attentive, dependable care, and I am committed to ensuring every dog feels comfortable, exercised, and well looked after while in my care. Whether caring for pets in my home or in a pet owner’s home, my priority is always to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while maintaining their usual routine as closely as possible. I provide regular feeding, fresh water, exercise, playtime, companionship, and plenty of attention, while also following any specific instructions regarding medications, dietary requirements, or behavioural needs. In my own home, pets will have access to a secure, large fenced garden where they can safely play, explore, and exercise under supervision. I also have a very friendly and playful Bedlington Whippet who is well-socialised and enjoys the company of other dogs. I always ensure introductions are carried out carefully and that every dog feels comfortable and relaxed. When caring for pets in an owner’s home, I respect their established routines and environment, helping pets feel settled and reducing any stress while their owners are away. I understand that every pet is unique, so I tailor my care to their individual personality, energy levels, and needs, ensuring they receive the attention, exercise, and affection they deserve.
About: I have over 5 years of experience working at a busy dog boarding kennels, where I looked after dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities - including nervous pups, playful puppies, and sweet seniors. I’m confident handling all kinds of situations and always pay close attention to how each pet is feeling. Whether your dog needs a calm companion, someone who sticks to their routine, or just plenty of belly rubs and walks, I’m here to make sure they’re happy and comfortable while you’re away. Pet care fits perfectly into my routine! I work remotely, which means I’m home most of the day and always around for cuddles, company, and keeping an eye on things. I can easily take dogs out for walks during my lunch break and again after work, and I’m flexible enough to adapt to your pet’s usual schedule. Whether it’s a mid-morning play session, food at a certain time, or just being present to keep your pet calm and happy—I’m here for it. I feed my dogs twice a day and walk them daily. We let them out into our garden regularly for toilet breaks I have a fenced garden and 2 friendly, playful dogs. “After reading raving reviews about Kez & Alice I must agree! Fantastic service, so friendly & I have no doubts that Dexter would move in with Kez & Alice if he could. Really attentive & happy for Dex to go round prior to his stay for a quick meet and greet which I think really helped Dex settle. I wouldn’t think twice about booking back in with Kez & Alice.”

“Susan is really great dog carer. She helped us out during a difficult situation. Our very anxious dog was very settled with Susan and we would be more than happy to use her services again”

About: I'm a dedicated pet sitter with a genuine passion for dogs, particularly small and medium breeds. As the proud owner of my own Shih Tzu, Waffle, I understand just how important it is to find someone trustworthy and attentive to care for your dog while you're away. I work from home, which allows me to be present throughout the day — offering consistent supervision, regular walks, engaging playtime, and plenty of affection. My home is also a warm, family environment; my 11-year-old daughter adores dogs and enjoys spending time with them too. I'm committed to providing a safe, calm, and comfortable space where your dog can settle in and feel at ease. Your pet's health and wellbeing are always my top priority, which is why I only care for dogs that are fully vaccinated. Whether it's a quick visit or an extended stay, my goal is to give you complete peace of mind — knowing your dog is being cared for with kindness, patience, and genuine attention to their needs. I work from home all week, so I'm around throughout the day — not just before and after work. This means your dog gets consistent company, regular breaks, and attention spread naturally across the day, rather than being left alone for long stretches. I provide a calm, clean, and safe home environment where dogs can feel comfortable and relaxed. I only accept vaccinated dogs and take time to understand each dog’s routine, personality, feeding requirements, and exercise needs. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully and make sure dogs receive plenty of attention, supervision, and care while they are with me.
“We had a great experience with Monika looking after our dog, Goofy. She kindly accepted our request at the last minute, which we really appreciated. She took great care of Goofy and kept us updated when requested. The house was lovely and clean, and Monika and her family were so friendly and welcoming. Most importantly, Goofy really enjoyed his stay and was very happy when we picked him up. 🐶❤️ Thank you so much, Monika, for taking such good care of him. We would definitely recommend her and will happily use her again! 😊”

“So lovely and welcoming, helped to look after Tusker really last minute. Sent messages throughout the day to keep me updated and he seemed to have a really good time. Couldn’t have asked for a better sitter x”

About: Hi I'm Charlotte, a lifelong dog lover and proud owner. I believe every dog deserves a day full of fun, care, and happiness. Treating every pup like my own, I'm here to make tails wag all day, every day. I’m currently working part time, so I have plenty of time to put your dog first. I adore taking dogs on walks, seeing their waggy tails and knowing their happy. I have an enclosed garden, I have a dog of my own so the house is fully doggy proof! I am offering dog walking / drop ins in the Yeadon/ Rawdon area
“Dawn made everything very simple and stress-free. We visited her home a few days before. Dawn made us feel completely at ease and was happy to answer any questions. As soon as we left Bruno, we could hear him crying, but just a few minutes later Dawn was already sending us messages showing him calm and relaxed, which immediately put our minds at ease. Throughout the day, she kept us updated with photos and comments about how Bruno was doing. When we picked him up, he was calm and happy — a clear sign that he enjoyed his day with Dawn.”

“Jessica and James have been looking after Milo a couple of times a week for the past few months, and I honestly couldn’t recommend them more. I’ve already rebooked because I know he’s in the best hands. They genuinely treat Milo as if he’s one of their own, and it’s clear how much they care about him. He absolutely adores their dog, Cookie, and the two of them have the best time together. Every time I pick him up, he comes home happy, content and pleasantly tired after a day full of fun. As a teacher, it’s such a relief to know that Milo is safe, loved and well cared for while I’m at work. Jessica and James regularly send photos and videos throughout the day, which is so reassuring, and they’re always flexible and accommodating with timings. The biggest compliment I can give is how excited Milo gets when he sees them—his tail starts wagging before we’ve even reached the door! That says everything. Thank you both for taking such wonderful care of him. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you to anyone looking for caring, reliable dog sitters.”

About: I am an animal lover at heart and have always had a cat in my life. I currently have the lovely Melvin, a grey tabby cat. I love animals and getting to know their individual personalities. I have had experience of giving my family's elderly cats (17/18 years old) medicine and looked after small/medium dogs. We have used Cat in a Flat often and have found it really helpful especially for short trips away and last minute cat sitting needs. I look forward to finding out about your pets and what they need! If you have any questions, do not hesitate to get in touch! I'm currently working part-time and have a flexible work day so have plenty of time to drop by and spend some time with your pets. My weeks can vary from week to week. Depending on what your pet needs, I can adapt to this. I will keep all dogs on leads to ensure their safety especially as I get to know them.

About: I have had dogs throughout my entire life, and more recently I became a registered veterinary nurse, where I work mostly with dogs. I often look after my dad’s dog Stanley, who is seen on my profile picture. We recently went on a solo holiday together, where we enjoyed going on lots of hikes. Being an RVN, I am trained in CPR and giving medications. I currently work a night shift rotation of 1 week on and 2 weeks off. I plan to only pet sit during my 2 weeks off so that I am available at all times during the day. I will diligently follow instructions from the owner, while also using my professional judgement on the wellbeing of the cat. If I have any concerns I will immediately contact the owner, and stay with the cat until I am sure that everything is okay. During my visits I will spend time with the cat, and try to gain their trust. However, I also understand that cats like their space and boundaries respected. I am available to go on either short walks with your dog or longer walks with a maximum of 2 hours. I will diligently follow your instructions on what your dog likes during their walk!
About: I’ve grown up around dogs and horses, plus cows, sheep, cats, goats and chickens on our friends farm. I have had dogs, chickens and owned 2 horses of my own too. I’ve looked after friends dogs as well as pet rats and cats. I really do love animals. Our dogs have always been a huge part of our lives and have joined us on adventures whenever we could take them along for the ride. I am currently studying at university and over the summer months I will be at home with nothing to do, so Rover fits perfectly around my schedule. I only work Saturday mornings at my part time job which will not change over summer. Our garden is dog friendly. It is fenced and gated with plenty of space for your pooch to play. We live near a park too so walks are on our doorstep. We have always allowed our dogs on our bed and sofa as we believe that they are a part of our family.

About: I've always grown up around dogs -- first we had a boxer dog and then we got a boxador puppy who I trained and raised as a teenager. I have a toddler who is also dog obsessed and so we are looking to go on dog walks and dog visits together. I'm a stay-at-home Mum so can be incredibly flexible, I choose what my day looks like! Please feel free to reach out last minute! I cannot have dogs in my own home, but I have a car and am more than happy to travel to visit other dogs and do take dogs on walks..
About: Hi, I’m Isobel! I’m a graphic designer who works from home some days and I absolutely love animals. I live with my fiancé Tom (he’s in my photos) I have experience with both cat and dog sitting, walking, feeding, bathing, playing, and lots of cuddles! I’ve helped care for our family dogs and my fiancé’s (my fiancé is called Tom) pets — two big dogs and a cat — so I’m confident with pets of all sizes. As is Tom as well, he will be looking after your pet with me some days, due to the nature of his job he might not be in some days. Due to the nature of our work, one of us is nearly always home, your pet will get plenty of love, attention, and toilet breaks throughout the day. I’ll always treat your dog or cat like part of the family. If you think we’d be a good fit, feel free to pop by for a cuppa! I work from home on Mondays and Fridays, and I’m also available on Thursday evenings if needed. Tom is usually home on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, as he often flies on weekends. Between us, someone is typically around most of the week. We’ll do our best to work with your schedule — even in a last-minute emergency. We also have a car and can collect your pet if needed. We usually stay in on weekends and would be happy to look after your pet for the whole weekend if required. Both me and Tom will be at home most days, due to Toms job there might be days where he is working and will not be in the house. But I will be at home to give your pet care and attention. We have a lovely back garden — while it’s not fenced in, we’re happy to sit outside with your pet and keep a close eye on them, or keep them on a lead for safety. We also live near several parks and can drive them to the woods if they’d enjoy a longer walk. If your pet needs a pram, we’re more than happy to push them along for some fresh air! We can also feed and bathe your pet, and if they have any medical needs, we’ll do our best to ensure they take their medication (we’re fans of the classic cheese ball method!). We're happy to work around your schedule and will send regular updates and photos of your pet being thoroughly spoilt.
“Natalie was really fab with our Goldie Luna and Luna loved her within moments of meeting her. Natalie sent us some videos and photos during their hour walk and we loved that we got to see the route they’d been on on the app. Thanks Natalie! :)”

“Leah is very kind and professional, my doggy loves her. I have a regular slot and have no qualms about giving Leah my housekeys. She comes in and out for my dog without disturbing my work. She responded quickly and slotted in a visit as an emergency when I had to go to A&E. Can't recommend Leah enough 🤩”

About: I’ve been a devoted dog mum and self-confessed cat whisperer for over ten years, caring for homes and animals across South Africa and the UK. References are available upon request. I’m green-fingered and deeply animal-loving, with particular affection for horses and hands-on experience caring for them. I’ve been a pet parent for most of my life and have shared my home with rabbits, hamsters, fish, birds, dogs, cats… and even a snake at one point. Growing up around farms also gave me early experience with farm animals. I hold a full UK driving licence and am confident driving most vehicles, making me flexible and reliable for rural or remote sits. Homeowners value my calm, attentive presence and the genuine care I bring to their animals and homes and I treat every sit as if it were my own. House sitting allows me the freedom to travel while working and studying, and most importantly I get to treat your pets as my own. I’m active and love to wild swim and hike, however the homebody is very much within me. Cuddles and adventures on tap as well as long walks which are even better when joined by furry friends. Please contact me to discuss schedules. I treat your home as my own, which allows both myself and your pet to feel at home while you’re away. Whether it be an adventurous walk or a cuddle on the couch, I can accommodate to your needs.

“Daisy is lovely and was absolutely brilliant with our Boston Terrier, Louie! She sent us pictures every day while we were away and we could tell how well Louie was looked after and what a fab time she was having. Daisy looked after Louie like she was her own 🥰. We will definitely be booking Daisy again in the future!”

“Amy was brilliant, so welcoming and great communication start to finish. Goose clearly felt happy and he was the calmest he's been when we've picked him up from anywhere! Absolutely would recommend and we'll be booking again in the future 😊”

“Thank you for looking after Benny. Lovely to hear that he and the cats became friends and that he snuggled himself right in and felt at home. He's already looking forward to the next time.”

I feed my dogs twice a day and walk them daily. We let them out into our garden regularly for toilet breaks I have a fenced garden and 2 friendly, playful dogs. “2nd stay for Riley with Esther and Adam. As always, really good and I feel I've finally found someone who can have Riley when I'm away and I don't have to worry about his care. thank you both!”

“Absolute first class experience with Christie who cared for our two boys for 9 days. She went above and beyond to make Ernie, Bailey and us comfortable during their stay and we were provided with regular updates and pictures of their ‘holiday’ with Christie and her family. Would not hesitate to book again and recommend to others, absolute gem of a sitter, thank you again Christie! ⭐⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Aidan is lovely - we booked rather last minute and Honey normally goes to Kennels and sulks for a few days afterwards, BUT this was a completely different experience she was so calm, happy and content when we collected, no sulking! We knownHoney had an equally good weekend and its was great to check in and know she was happy ! Thank you will rebook !!”

“Charlotte and Josh looked after our Havanese, Chipper, while we were on a family holiday. We took Chipper for a short visit before we went away so that they could meet each other. Charlotte and Josh were brilliant and Chipper appeared to feel right at home. While we were away, Charlotte kept us up to date and Chipper seemed to love her walks with her and Josh. I don’t think Chipper missed us at all due to the fun and comfort she felt with Charlotte and Josh!”
