Woodland Walks and Home Comforts
Myself and my partner Toby offer dog-walking, doggy daycare and overnight sitting in the Calder Valley. For dog-walking, We offer group walking in the morning or afternoon and can collect your dog from your home, take them for a one hour walk and drop them back home. We can run or walk (and, of course, play Stick) with energetic dogs or do more chilled walks with smaller and elderly dogs. We can also do solo walks for dogs who may struggle in company. For sitting and day-care: Your dog will be with us in our home, getting one to one attention - lots of games and cuddles and access to a garden for fresh air breaks. We walk our guests 3 times a day in the woods and fields near our house. We can look after older dogs who need regular toilet breaks (although our house does have steps up to it). We can take on a second or third dog from the same family or friends whose dogs know each other and get on well. My favourite breeds are the retriever and the sight-hounds families; I also love Cockerpoos, Daschunds and Border Terriers, in fact I am discovering new favourite breeds all the time! Toby's are similar he also likes Afghan Hounds, having grown up with one, Golden Doodles, a Lurcher (Bedlington/ whippet) that recently stayed and a Bulldog that he has recently been walking. We look forward to meeting many new breeds in the future.

Ratings and reviews
Warmth, kindness, and organisation absolutely poured off Charlotte, I absolutely wouldn’t hesitate to leave my boys with her and partner again. Frequent updates, sensible questions, and one of my lads very definitely didn’t want to leave when I went to pick them up!
Carla really enjoyed her time with Charlotte. Nice people, good comms. Will deffo use again!

Riley loved staying with Charlotte and Toby and we would definitely use them again!
Phillip absolutely loved his time with Charlotte! We received loads of pictures and videos, he was really made to feel like one of the family. She took him out to pub gardens, on loads of lovely walks and even on a train ride. Phil came home relaxed and happy, we can tell he had loads of love and attention. We will definitely be booking again.

charlotte is someone who very obviously loves and knows her dogs and I was very pleased how she looked after roobarb for the day.nothing seemed too much trouble and communication was good at all times. she was anxious that due to my own mistake I had been overcharged and proactively arranged a refund for me.i would certainly recommend charlotte if you are looking for a sitter in the hebden bridge area.

Excellent service. Great communication. Highly recommend.

Schedule
Apart from walking and looking after dogs, I am a researcher and writer and Toby is a tutor. Most of our work is from home, so we can make sure the dogs are happy and then do our other work with the dogs as company. We tend to organise our day so that one of us is always around to look after the dogs. We also enjoy hiking, running and going to local shows and fetes, pubs and cafes, so if your dog is well behaved they can come everywhere with us and enjoy the excitement.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
In our home the dogs can relax on their beds, the sofa or on a blanket where we are working or relaxing. They can visit the garden when they wish or if it's a nice day and we are outside they are welcome to join us!
A typical day
Once a dog has been introduced to the walking group and we know they will all get on, we walk one group mid-morning and another group mid-afternoon in the woods or on the moors nearby making sure the dogs are safe. The dogs can walk with us, run off the lead and play with toys or sticks depending on their exercise/behaviour needs. And of course treats are available for added motivation. In between times we will walk solo dogs in places they are familiar with. Dogs that stay with us get 3/4 walks: first thing, at lunchtime, around teatime and then a final toilet break before bed if staying over. They can also walk with the groups if suitable. In between walks dogs can relax in their beds, on the sofa or where we work. There will be lots of attention, game playing and fresh air breaks to keep them happy. If staying over, we will settle them down for the night in their own space of preference.

- We do a meet and greet with all dogs so that everyone is happy for us to look after the dogs especially the dogs themselves. For group walks ideally the owner would come on the first walk with the dog to familiarise them with the group. if this isn't possible then a trial walk with the group can work. For all dogs we like to know: how they are on the lead, what they are like with other dogs/people, are there any dogs/ people they don't get on with, are they scared of anything like bikes or swans, do they prefer walking or like to run around, treats that motivate them and what their recall is like. For day care and overnight stays we also like to know their routines around walking, playing, mealtimes, toilet breaks and bedtimes.
