Clare was wonderful with my Border Collie, Phoebe! She provided regular updates with photos, showing how happy and active Phoebe was during her stay. Clare's home was perfect for a playful dog like Phoebe, offering plenty of space to run and play. I felt completely at ease knowing Phoebe was in such good hands. I highly recommend Clare to anyone looking for a caring and reliable pet sitter. We'll definitely be returning!

Rudy clearly had an amazing time at his first doggy day care! We’d left the meet and greet before feeling really confident that Rudy would have an amazing time at Karen’s, the pack having instantly welcomed him in. Thank you so much for taking such great care of Rudy!

About: As a Registered Veterinary Nurse with over 10 years of experience, I bring a level of professional knowledge and reassurance that many standard pet sitters simply can’t offer 🩺🐾 Working in veterinary practice means I am highly experienced in animal behaviour, handling and recognising subtle changes in a pet’s health or wellbeing. Your pet’s safety, comfort and happiness will always be my top priority. I am trained in fear-free handling, meaning I focus on creating calm and positive experiences for pets, especially those who may feel nervous, shy or anxious around new people or environments 🤍🐶🐱 I am also an ISFM Cat Friendly Advocate and have completed additional training in cat-friendly handling, allowing me to provide gentle, stress-aware care for feline companions 🐱✨ What really makes my service different is the combination of clinical knowledge and genuine love for animals. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. Alongside my professional experience, I’m also a proud dog mum to my Basset Hound Rosie, who reminds me every day how special the bond between pets and their owners truly is 🐶💚 When your pet is in my care, you can feel confident knowing they are with someone who is qualified, experienced and truly passionate about animal welfare. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine as animals have always been a huge part of my life. Alongside running my pet care services, I also work part-time as a Registered Veterinary Nurse during the week, which allows me to maintain my clinical skills while still offering flexible and reliable pet sitting and drop-in visits. Because I work part-time shifts, I’m able to plan my schedule carefully to ensure pets in my care receive the time, attention and routine they need 🐶🐱 On days I am not in practice, I have much greater flexibility for longer visits, pet sitting, walks and check-ins. When I do have a shift, I ensure visits are scheduled around my working hours so pets are never left without the care and companionship they deserve. Being a veterinary nurse also means I’m very used to structured routines and planning ahead, so you can feel confident that your pet’s feeding times, walks, medication and daily routine will always be followed carefully 🩺🐾 Caring for animals is something I genuinely love, so spending my free time looking after pets fits perfectly into my lifestyle 🤍 Your pet’s safety and wellbeing will always be my highest priority 🤍 As a Registered Veterinary Nurse with over 10 years of experience, I am trained to recognise changes in behaviour, health and wellbeing, giving owners extra reassurance while their pets are in my care. I take the time to get to know each pet’s personality, routine and individual needs so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. Whether your pet is playful and energetic or shy and cautious, I adapt my approach to ensure they feel safe and relaxed. I am passionate about fear-free handling, meaning I always aim to minimise stress and create calm, positive experiences for pets. This is especially important for nervous animals or those who may struggle with new environments. I will always respect your home and your pet’s usual routine — following feeding schedules, walk routines and medication instructions carefully 🐶🐱 As a pet owner myself, I know how important trust is when leaving your pet with someone new. That’s why I treat every animal with the same level of care, patience and compassion as I would my own 🐾💚 You can relax knowing your pet is being looked after by someone qualified, experienced and genuinely passionate about animal welfare.

Julia and Anthony are the most amazing, friendly and wonderful people to leave your doggie with. Our cockapoo couldn’t have been in better hands. We were kept informed how she was with photos and videos. They have the most incredible set up at their home, with activities to keep your dog busy including tunnels, toys and see-saws. We can’t recommend them highly enough. Thank you for looking after our dog so wonderfully.

Vanessa was amazing with our dog. She made him feel comfortable and safe while we were out in London for the evening.she was very kind and flexible with our times ( I underestimated the taxi travel time in London😅) . It makes it so much easier to relax and enjoy our night when we know our baby is safe and happy. Very highly recommend if you are in London and need a dog sitter. She is the BEST! I wish she lived closer to us!

About: Pet care fits naturally into my routine as I’m home for most of the day. This allows me to provide regular supervision, outdoor time in the garden, play, and companionship. Dogs are not left alone for long periods and receive consistent attention throughout the day. Hi, my name is Yi Man, but you can call me Eva. I live in a spacious, dog-friendly home with a large, secure back garden, providing plenty of space for dogs to relax, play, and feel comfortable during their stay. I have two young children who are gentle, polite, and kind to animals. They understand how to respect dogs’ space and are always supervised, helping create a calm and family-friendly environment that many dogs feel at ease in. I spend most of my time at home, which allows me to give dogs consistent attention, companionship, and care throughout the day. I focus on keeping routines calm and predictable, following owners’ instructions closely so each dog feels safe and settled. For peace of mind, I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos, so you can relax knowing your dog is well cared for while you’re away. Pet care fits well into my daily routine as I spend most of my time at home. This allows me to provide consistent supervision, companionship, and attention. I ensure pets are not left alone for long periods and can adapt my schedule to their needs. My home is clean, calm, and dog-friendly, with a large enclosed back garden for safe outdoor time. I’m careful with doors, routines, and feeding instructions. I provide regular photo updates so owners feel reassured and connected while their dog stays with me. About: I looked after a Basenji with severe separation anxiety and a tendency to bite for two years. During that time, I provided regular walks, drop-in visits, and dog sitting. I also grew up with my dog for 10 years :) I work as a freelance artist from home, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to spend plenty of quality time with pets. I’m available throughout the week and I can easily adapt to your pet’s usual routine. :) I don’t have any pets of my own, so my home is a calm and quiet environment, which can be especially beneficial for nervous or anxious pets. I live in a spacious house with a large garden where dogs have plenty of room to explore and play. I’ll follow your pet’s normal routine and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for.

Thank you for looking after Toby on such short notice! I needed to go into the office on short notice, I asked Monina if she was able to look after my 3 month old puppy. She responded so fast on messages and was super friendly! Monina was sending me updates throughout the day on how Toby was doing, which was very reassuring. Monina is kind and friendly and if I need a sitter again I would 100% go back to her. Thank you again Monina!

Tracy and her family agreed to care for Bubbles at short notice so I could attend a funeral for the day. Bubbles had never been left with anyone other than my own family members previously. Prior to the day care we arranged a ‘meet and greet’ which was a positive experience for both Bubbles and myself and this left me confident and reassured that Bubbles would be in ‘safe hands’ for me to leave her for a full day. On the actual day Bubbles was in Tracy’s care I received regular text messages/pictures throughout the day updating me on her eating habits, toilet breaks, play time ,walks and lots of cuddles. All in all Bubbles and I have had a very pleasant and positive experience with Tracy and her family and I would 100% recommend Tracys services which I will definitely be using again in the future. Thank-you very much Tracy and family for taking such wonderful care of my Bubbles for the day.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Tameside on Rover is £26.45 per day (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 2,839 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Tameside. About 87% of Tameside sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Tameside commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in North West England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
