As soon as I met Julia, I knew that Luna would enjoy her stay. She made us feel at ease straight away and was lovely with our puppy. Julia sent us videos & photos throughout the day and it was so nice to see Luna settled and having fun! We will definitely use Julia again to look after Luna.

About: I have always had pets growing up. I have previously worked for the RSPCA as an animal carer, I have experience with all sizes of dogs and cats from very young to very old. As well as private dog sitting/walking in the past. I am comfortable grooming animals as well. I have a degree in psychology with a focus on animal behaviour, and I will be starting my animal behaviour and welfare masters in October. Currently looking for regular or one off clients. I am starting a masters in animal behaviour and welfare in October and I am wanting to continue animal care over the summer before starting. As my course has not yet started, I currently have plenty of time in the day to spend with your furry friends! I have a lot of pet sitting and caring experience through previous roles as an animal carer. I am also DBS checked. I understand how important routine is for your animals, so I am happy to follow your schedules to ensure your pet is well cared for.

About: Pet care fits naturally into my routine as I’m home for most of the day. This allows me to provide regular supervision, outdoor time in the garden, play, and companionship. Dogs are not left alone for long periods and receive consistent attention throughout the day. Hi, my name is Yi Man, but you can call me Eva. I live in a spacious, dog-friendly home with a large, secure back garden, providing plenty of space for dogs to relax, play, and feel comfortable during their stay. I have two young children who are gentle, polite, and kind to animals. They understand how to respect dogs’ space and are always supervised, helping create a calm and family-friendly environment that many dogs feel at ease in. I spend most of my time at home, which allows me to give dogs consistent attention, companionship, and care throughout the day. I focus on keeping routines calm and predictable, following owners’ instructions closely so each dog feels safe and settled. For peace of mind, I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos, so you can relax knowing your dog is well cared for while you’re away. Pet care fits well into my daily routine as I spend most of my time at home. This allows me to provide consistent supervision, companionship, and attention. I ensure pets are not left alone for long periods and can adapt my schedule to their needs. My home is clean, calm, and dog-friendly, with a large enclosed back garden for safe outdoor time. I’m careful with doors, routines, and feeding instructions. I provide regular photo updates so owners feel reassured and connected while their dog stays with me. I only take a small number of dogs at a time to ensure quality care.

About: I have multiple years of volunteering experience with RSPCA and Blue Cross, as both a shelter volunteer and cat fosterer (currently not fostering). I also petsat regularly on Rover during my final year of uni, and now that my job is settled and I am aware of how much flexibility I am afforded, I'm back to take care of your pets! I work from home so my work is flexible enough to accommodate any pet's needs. I have one flatmate with family pet experience and a partner that comes round occasionally who works on a farm with cat, dog, and livestock training and experience. My mother was a vet’s assistant when I was very young so her passion for animals has meant we always had dogs or cats or ferrets growing up. I've always loved to have pets around with a soft spot for small dogs but so much love for all shapes and sizes. I am a full time software tester working from home, and have very flexible days so I have lots of room to give your pets the attention they need. I don’t currently offer care for pets outside my own home, though would consider in future. I live in a two bed house with a housemate and a partner who comes round on their day off (please note my housemate is male so if your pets have any issues with men I am probably not the sitter for you unfortunately!) I have experience with both reactive/anxious and more easygoing pets and can tailor their care to fit your preferred routine with ease. I have my own car and can pickup/dropoff for petrol money (50p/mile), and I don’t smoke :)

Tracy and her family agreed to care for Bubbles at short notice so I could attend a funeral for the day. Bubbles had never been left with anyone other than my own family members previously. Prior to the day care we arranged a ‘meet and greet’ which was a positive experience for both Bubbles and myself and this left me confident and reassured that Bubbles would be in ‘safe hands’ for me to leave her for a full day. On the actual day Bubbles was in Tracy’s care I received regular text messages/pictures throughout the day updating me on her eating habits, toilet breaks, play time ,walks and lots of cuddles. All in all Bubbles and I have had a very pleasant and positive experience with Tracy and her family and I would 100% recommend Tracys services which I will definitely be using again in the future. Thank-you very much Tracy and family for taking such wonderful care of my Bubbles for the day.

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs since I was 8 years old, when my family adopted our first dog, Tom. Since then, we’ve rescued three more, giving me plenty of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all shapes and sizes. I also volunteer at Manchester Dogs' Home, where I’ve gained confidence in walking and handling dogs of all breeds and temperaments. In addition, I’ve spent time caring for puppies, including dog-sitting for my friend’s Dachshund, Maverick. While my family dog, Tula, now lives with my mum abroad and I miss her dearly, I’d love to have more dogs in my life. I’m excited to share my love for dogs and my experience with yours, whether they’re big or small, young or old. I live by Fog Lane Park and am only a short walk from the River Mersey - perfect dog walking locations! I am also free on some weekends. I provide calm, reliable, and loving care tailored to each pet’s routine and personality. Whether pets are staying in my home or I’m caring for them in theirs, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well-looked-after. I stick closely to feeding, walking, medication, and play schedules, and I’m always mindful of home routines and boundaries. I treat every pet as if they were my own and keep owners updated with regular photos and messages for peace of mind.

About: I have taken care of pets since I was 13, been a very responsible owner and always cared for my pet’s wellbeing. No matter if it is my family dog, or my roommate’s cat, or a dog sitting request, I always pay full attention and care and love for our furry friends! I understand the struggle and the separation anxiety when it comes to dogs as my Dor Dor was a rescue and have lived a full and happy life before she went to doggy heaven. Having animal companions helps me stay active and joyous in caring for them, I love going on long walks and so it is quite a win win situation for you and me! I mainly work from home during the week, which is perfect for pets who requires more attention and separation anxiety as I can be in person and as attentive and caring as possible! Since I live by myself, there are no pets or roommates to surprise your dogs. My home is located right next to a huge park which is perfect for long walks or frequent walks!

Clare was absolutely wonderful! She knew exactly the type of exercise and play that a dog like Suki needed, provided us with regular updates and pictures, and worked around our availability to ensure that we could enjoy our day whilst knowing that Suki was enjoying hers. I would highly recommend Clare to anybody - it is clear that she adores dogs and is super knowledgeable about their needs!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Tameside on Rover is £28.75 per day (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 2,889 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Tameside. About 87% of Tameside sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Tameside commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in North West England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
