Now in my thirties, I've gained a lot of experience with dogs of many different ages, breeds and temperaments. I'm currently available pretty much whenever you need, for whatever you need. Whether it be just a few hours or a few days, I'm happy to help!I I live on a quiet, dog friendly cut-de-sac with lots of parks nearby. I was looking for a walker to replace my only walker I’ve had in three and a half years who had a perfect 100% record so big shoes to fill. Matthew has made the transition to new walker for Kevin(3 1/2 yo staffie) so seamless I’ve barely noticed the difference.Excellent timekeeping and great communication with a thorough Rover report card and checking to see if mine and Kevin’s needs are met. I will be using Matthew as my new regular weekly walker and I would highly recommend him to look after you furry friend.

About: I’ve taken care of pets for the majority of my life whether it be my own cats or family and friends dogs and cats. I’ve always loved taking care of animals and helping out so taking them for walks or looking after them for periods of time when needed, making sure they’re happy and well looked after brings me so much joy. I am currently working from home trying to start my own photography business so i am very flexible and can provide drop in visits/ walking services whenever needed. I will always keep your dogs safe and on the lead when on walks, as well as always checking with you on whether your dogs are okay to interact with other dogs on the walk or not, if they are i will always keep an eye on body language and other signs of stress when they are around other dogs. Your dogs safety and happiness is my main priority when looking after them When doing drop in visits i will make sure your cat/dog has food in their bowl, has been to the toilet and has had a good amount of play/cuddle time. I am happy to do drop in visits for longer if you need me to! as long as both you and your furry friend are happy then i don’t mind!. I will also make sure the house is safe, ensuring doors and windows are locked upon leaving.

About: I’ve cared for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and temperaments, from energetic puppies to gentle seniors who need extra patience and support. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, administering basic medications, leash training and reinforcing good manners through positive reinforcement. I pay close attention to each pet’s individual needs and body language, making sure they feel safe, understood, and loved. Whether it’s long walks, playtime, or quiet companionship, I aim to keep pets relaxed and happy while you’re away. Pet care fits around my weekly college schedule, which I attend four days a week, plus one day of work experience at a doggy daycare. I’m used to structured routines and being around animals every day. Outside of those hours, I’m available for morning, afternoon, and evening visits, as well as weekends. My experience at a busy daycare has made me confident managing different personalities, keeping pets safe, and giving them plenty of attention, exercise, and affection whenever I’m with them. I’m also happy to be contacted about caring for other types of pets, including reptiles and small animals. Safety is always my top priority. I’ve done work experience in a veterinary clinic for 4 years, so I’m very comfortable around animals of all temperaments and have a good understanding of their health and behavior. I’m able to notice early signs of stress or illness and handle situations calmly if anything seems off. When I’m in your home, I’m respectful of your space and stick to your pet’s usual routine to help them feel comfortable. I make sure doors are secure, double-check leashes and harnesses, and keep a close eye on pets during outdoor time. I’m careful about unsafe foods or objects and always aim to keep things calm and clean. I’ll also send regular updates and photos so you can feel at ease knowing your pet is safe and well cared for.

About: Ive always lived in pet friendly households so ive grown up knowing how to take care of animals. I looked after my family's dog when I was a teenager, being the one to walk him and play with him and listen to his general needs. I adopted my own dog as soon as I was able to, he died over a year ago and I miss hom hut im not in a situation where I can adopt a new dog. Both dogs at some point in their lives have been nervous and/or reactive so i have experience working with difficult dogs but I am also happy working with calmer dogs. I had a behaviouralist for my dog so I am also happy working with the training techniques given by a behaviouralist to help support you dog. I am currently unemployed having been a stay at home mum for the last 5 years so im most flexible during school times. I have been trusted by my friends to dog- and cat-sit their pets and I just generally love all animals. I am currently unemployed so I am super available but I also have two small kids to parent outside of school times so im most flexible during the day but also available at other points with enough notice I am happy to care for pets my home or their own, availability depending. I am also available for walks, day visits to let pets out to the garden. If im needed to board animals in my home they need to be good with kids as well

About: NEW - Dog walking service available from May 2026. Sorry, no large dogs or Frenchies. No puppies. All dogs must be over 18 months of age and neutered. I have made this decision after caring for so many different dogs over the last 18 months, I feel bigger dogs and puppies are too energetic for me. I don’t have a fear of any dog except frenchies. I hope you understand. 🩷💙🐾 £15 off your 1st booking CAROLM03788. Please read my reviews - 100 plus reviews - Best care and love given Fully Registered with Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council - this is a legal requirement, insurance will not pay if you’re not with a registered home boarder. Just a few things to take into consideration when booking with myself. 1. I only take small dogs UNDER 15kg 2 I have a very large garden for lots of playtime, with a big box of toys and bubble machines. 3. I offer a full loving experience to all the dogs that board with me. 4. We are a non-smoking family, with no children in the home, unless the grandchildren visit. 5. All dogs get my exclusive time, as I work from home, all dogs follow me, where I go they go :-) If you want to learn more about my dog care, follow me on my Facebook Page SK - Luxury Home Dog Boarding. Nothing is edited, just dogs having fun. I believe in making sure your dog has a 5* experience. You’re on holiday, they're on holiday. A little about me. I have owned dogs all my life, mainly in groups of 3, 5, or 7 they have all since passed over the rainbow bridge. After having a 3-year break, I joined Rover to get my dog fix, since then I have since re-homed 4 miniature dachshunds, from 4-10 years, all girls. I have owned Jack Russells, Poodles, Labrador Heinz 57, Shetland Collie, and Rhodesian Ridgebacks. They have all lived way past their life expectancy dates. Therefore, I have good knowledge of all types of dogs. I'm sure your pet will enjoy staying here, as much as ours did, leaving you to go on your holiday, or weekend away knowing they are safe. Many thanks for taking the time to read this. Carol & John x I am currently working from home, all boarding dogs go where I go in my home, I keep them with me always. All dogs are fed separately, twice a day. We have 6ft fencing the whole way around. Electric gates to the home, with a 2nd gated barrier at the front door, plus each side of the house. CCTV to keep an eye on them in the garden, to run free, if I am in the kitchen. Safety gates in all rooms. Full 1st Aid Kit Full emergency fire plan. Sick dog room if needed.

About: I’ve helped my partner look after many different types of dogs over the last few years, from German Shepherds to Teacup Dachshunds. I’m now looking for dog walking opportunities of my own. I have owned dogs for 35 years and I’m currently the owner of an 8 year old Springer Spaniel and a 10 year old miniature Yorkshire Terrier (these 2 won’t be joining me on the walks). I’m willing to offer solo dog walks where required. I’m currently studying Counselling and splitting care for my elderly father with my family, this allows me some free time during the week to fit in local dog walking. I always walk other people’s dogs on a lead and try and cover as much ground as possible to give the dog and myself a good amount of exercise (unless the dog is elderly or I have been given precise instructions on how to walk a dog)

About: As a Registered Veterinary Nurse with over 10 years of experience, I bring a level of professional knowledge and reassurance that many standard pet sitters simply can’t offer 🩺🐾 Working in veterinary practice means I am highly experienced in animal behaviour, handling and recognising subtle changes in a pet’s health or wellbeing. Your pet’s safety, comfort and happiness will always be my top priority. I am trained in fear-free handling, meaning I focus on creating calm and positive experiences for pets, especially those who may feel nervous, shy or anxious around new people or environments 🤍🐶🐱 I am also an ISFM Cat Friendly Advocate and have completed additional training in cat-friendly handling, allowing me to provide gentle, stress-aware care for feline companions 🐱✨ What really makes my service different is the combination of clinical knowledge and genuine love for animals. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. Alongside my professional experience, I’m also a proud dog mum to my Basset Hound Rosie, who reminds me every day how special the bond between pets and their owners truly is 🐶💚 When your pet is in my care, you can feel confident knowing they are with someone who is qualified, experienced and truly passionate about animal welfare. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine as animals have always been a huge part of my life. Alongside running my pet care services, I also work part-time as a Registered Veterinary Nurse during the week, which allows me to maintain my clinical skills while still offering flexible and reliable pet sitting and drop-in visits. Because I work part-time shifts, I’m able to plan my schedule carefully to ensure pets in my care receive the time, attention and routine they need 🐶🐱 On days I am not in practice, I have much greater flexibility for longer visits, pet sitting, walks and check-ins. When I do have a shift, I ensure visits are scheduled around my working hours so pets are never left without the care and companionship they deserve. Being a veterinary nurse also means I’m very used to structured routines and planning ahead, so you can feel confident that your pet’s feeding times, walks, medication and daily routine will always be followed carefully 🩺🐾 Caring for animals is something I genuinely love, so spending my free time looking after pets fits perfectly into my lifestyle 🤍 Your pet’s safety and wellbeing will always be my highest priority 🤍 As a Registered Veterinary Nurse with over 10 years of experience, I am trained to recognise changes in behaviour, health and wellbeing, giving owners extra reassurance while their pets are in my care. I take the time to get to know each pet’s personality, routine and individual needs so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. Whether your pet is playful and energetic or shy and cautious, I adapt my approach to ensure they feel safe and relaxed. I am passionate about fear-free handling, meaning I always aim to minimise stress and create calm, positive experiences for pets. This is especially important for nervous animals or those who may struggle with new environments. I will always respect your home and your pet’s usual routine — following feeding schedules, walk routines and medication instructions carefully 🐶🐱 As a pet owner myself, I know how important trust is when leaving your pet with someone new. That’s why I treat every animal with the same level of care, patience and compassion as I would my own 🐾💚 You can relax knowing your pet is being looked after by someone qualified, experienced and genuinely passionate about animal welfare.

About: Hello, I'm Charlotte and I own my very own little fluff ball Ripley. She's a five year old Patterpoo, I absolutely adore dogs so I would love to look after your baby. Ripley is by my side everywhere I go. I have had Ripley from a puppy and trained her to do several commands. Ripley loves cuddles and Long walks as well as playing with her doggy friends so she would love a friend to play with whilst looking after your fur baby. (I only board/day care small dogs) Ripley is crate trained, but that went out the window a while ago, she has full run of the house and there's no such things as no pets on the furniture in my home. Your fur baby will get lots off attention, as Ripley does suffer from speration anxiety so comes with me everywhere (when I can) so your dog will be well looked after and get lots of attention I currently have most days free due to not starting full time work until the end of July. So your dog will be well looked after and spend lots of time with me I must meet your dog before any boarding or day care services are provided - I have a yard that is fully fenced and secure and gets great sun for those dogs who like to sunbathe like me. There's a local canal/forest in which myself and Ripley often take walks in. Dogs are allowed on the furniture in my home and if they are well behaved they can sleep on the bed. I also have two crates available if you prefer them to sleep in a crate. Your dogs will need to be well socialised as myself and Ripley like to venture out for food and drinks in local dog friendly restaurants Please note your dogs must be happy to ride in cars

About: Hi, I’m Molly! 🐾 Growing up, I’ve always been surrounded by dogs and have had a lifelong love for animals. In my family home, we had two Cocker Spaniels, George and Tilly, who I helped care for from a young age. My grandparents were also devoted dog owners and had five Golden Retrievers and a Labradoodle, so being around dogs of all ages, sizes and personalities has always been part of my life. 🐶 I currently have my own Cockapoo puppy, Mabel, who was born in May 2025 and keeps me on my toes! Through raising and training Mabel, as well as George and Tilly, I’ve gained hands-on experience with puppy care, basic training, socialisation and establishing positive routines. I love spending time outdoors and regularly enjoy long walks and runs with dogs. When visiting my family home, I still take George and Tilly out for walks and have taught them various tricks over the years. I understand that every dog is unique, and I’ll always take the time to ensure your pet feels safe, comfortable and loved while in my care. Whether your dog enjoys energetic adventures, playtime, cuddles on the sofa, or a combination of all three, I’ll make sure they receive plenty of attention and care as if they were my own. I can't wait to meet your four-legged family member! 🦮❤️ Pet care is already a big part of my daily routine. I have my own Cockapoo puppy, Mabel, so my days naturally revolve around walks, playtime, training, feeding and plenty of cuddles. I work from home frequently and lead an active lifestyle, making it easy to fit dog walks and quality time into my day. Caring for dogs never feels like a chore to me, it's something I genuinely enjoy. Whether it's a long walk, a quick toilet break, playtime in the garden or simply providing company and affection, I'm happy to adapt to each dog's individual needs and routine. I always aim to make pets feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible by sticking closely to their usual routine. Whether I'm caring for them in my home or in their owner's home, I'll ensure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, playtime and affection throughout the day. I'm experienced with feeding routines, administering basic care, reinforcing training and recognising when a dog needs rest or extra reassurance. I understand that every pet is different, so I take the time to learn their personality, preferences and any specific requirements they may have. As a dog owner myself, I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. I'll treat your dog as if they were my own, keeping them safe, happy and well cared for while you're away, and I'll always provide regular updates and photos for peace of mind. 🐾❤️

About: I overcame an initial childhood fear of dogs by firstly rescuing a senior mutt as a family, aptly named Scruffy, before then adopting a Golden Retriever puppy, Angus, who I grew up with as a brother. This instilled the responsibility and love only an owner can truly understand that I have carried with me since. In addition to the dogs, my childhood was also filled with adopting and looking after pets of all shapes and sizes - with multiple cats co-existing in peace, rodents, reptiles, birds... So am no stranger to knowing how to juggle a zoo. After I lost my best friend Angus, my partner and I bought a Retriever puppy of our own, Roo, nearly 5 years ago, who is my entire world. I personally trained her from a baby velociraptor to the angel she is today and a registered service animal, with everyone who meets her praising how well behaved and perfect she is. Alongside raising her, I have also dog-sat, walked, and helped train numerous friends and neighbours dogs over the years - of varying ages, breeds and temperaments. This includes a senior, German Shepherd rescue who is unfortunately, aggressively reactive and therefore requires extra attention and care when in my responsibility. In addition to multiple puppies at various stages of development, introducing them to social situations for the first times and learning basic behavioural commands. I am also experienced and comfortable walking two strong dogs at a time, incase your household comes with double trouble. As a result, and as an owner myself, I understand and respect the individual requirements of each dog to ensure your loved ones are most comfortable when I am trusted to look after them. I am currently not working so am available 24/7. As a result, your pet will be my main and sole responsibility in my current situation. My only limitation is transport as I do not have a car of my own so will have to consider jobs less local on a case by case basis. But if I can make it work, I will! Again, as an owner myself, I know the trust and responsibility that comes with looking after our pets. I also know what we expect as owners so I can promise you will definitely receive too many photos and regular updates as a minimum to give you peace of mind at all times. I also am no stranger to fussy eaters or sensitive stomachs as I have navigated that with Roo all her life as well as knowing what constitutes a proper walk and ensuring our dogs are well exercised.

About: Based in ASHTON UNDER LYNE 🥰 I love animals so so much and have been taking care of peoples pets for as far as I can remember, I love being asked to take care of someone’s pet, it makes me so so happy. From my neighbours dog, cat to helping my friend who is also a dog sitter! It brings so much joy into my life. I used to have my own cat, Tiggy, who lived until 19 years old, I miss him dearly. I work 9-5 but remotely on Mondays and Fridays. I love going to walks in my spare time 🥰 so animal company is even better, I love all animals and not afraid of any!! Over the years I’ve learnt about different animals needs. I think it’s important to understand the animal as an individual in order to keep them happy. For example one cat might hate belly rubs whereas another will love them! (My cat didn’t approve)

Very pleasant young lady. I booked Yarah to take my dog out for a midday walk. The meet and greet went great and she was eager to learn all she could about my dogs personality and his temperament. After the walk she discussed everything with me and was open and honest about how it went. Would definitely recommend Yarah she is passionate about all animals.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find Walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 100% of Walkers can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for last-minute bookings for Dog Walking. With 4,533 Walkers in Tameside, 44% respond to messages in under 5 minutes.

Many sitters keep their calendars updated in real time and you can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care in the next 24 hours, you can look for sitters with a 'calendar last updated' notice on their profiles.
