Lots of walks and cuddles, contestant updates with pictures on how he was getting on and she took lovely care of our home. Thank you so much! We will definitely be booking again. Charlie says thank you 🐾”

About: I had a family dog since I was a teenager for 12 years and have looked after them in my spare time ever since. Now in my thirties, I've gained a lot of experience with dogs of many different ages, breeds and temperaments. I'm currently available pretty much whenever you need, for whatever you need. Whether it be just a few hours or a few days, I'm happy to help!I I live on a quiet, dog friendly cut-de-sac with lots of parks nearby. And I have a fenced garden, with plenty of space for your pup to run around and play.

“Paige was amazing! She made me feel really at ease which is quite difficult when I hate leaving my boys. The boys really seemed to take to her straight away and it seems they had a lovely weekend. Paige was really communicative and sent photos and updates regularly. The boys were very well looked after, as was the house! I will hopefully definitely be using Paige again in future and would highly recommend her as a sitter :)”
“Demmi is a lovely girl who took great care of my Jack Russells Pippa and Boris. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her and will definitely use her again in the future. Thanks Demmi x”

About: I’m available for house-sitting during SCHOOL HOLIDAYS✅(Half term, Easter, Summer, Christmas, etc.) 😍 I also offer drop-in visits, dog walks, and boarding during term time ;) I’ve looked after my nana’s Schnauzer when I was young. I’ve also taken on several cat-sitting requests, which I really enjoy 💖 I also understand how reassuring it is to know your pet is happy while you're away, so I send daily photos and videos to keep owners updated and give them peace of mind. I am available weekends and school holidays. So I can spend plenty of time with your furry babies x I'm currently working full-time, Mon-Fri. However, I can fit in drop-in/dog-walks requests before/after office hours. Boarding - I have a fenced garden, so I'll make sure your dog is happy running around under my supervision. Dog walks - I'll always make sure your dog is on a leash, and I'll bring water for them as well. House-sitting - I'll check whether your cat is an indoor cat and make sure the door is always locked. If they are an outdoor cat, I'll ask about their daily routine and be alert if they don't come back after the specified time.
About: What sets me apart is the combination of professional training and genuine love I bring to every dog I care for. I’m DBS checked, fully insured, trained in animal first aid, and have completed animal behaviour courses, so you can feel confident that your dog’s safety and wellbeing always come first. Beyond qualifications, I understand that every dog is unique — from energetic pups who need long walks and playtime, to older companions who appreciate a slower pace and gentle care. I adapt to their needs, paying attention to their body language, routines, and favourite comforts, so they feel secure and happy while you’re away. I don’t just “look after” dogs — I build a bond with them, treating them as I would my own, with patience, kindness, and respect. And because I know how important peace of mind is, I keep you updated with photos and messages so you never feel far from your furry friend. 🐾 I like to keep my schedule flexible so I can give pets the attention they need while working around family life. Here’s when I’m usually available for walks, drop-ins, and cuddles: Monday – Friday • Early mornings: 5:30am – 8:00am • Daytime: 9:30am – 2:00pm • Evenings: 3:45pm – 8:30pm Weekends • Mornings: 5:30am – 10:30am • Afternoons/Evenings: 4:00pm – 8:00pm If you need something slightly outside these times, just drop me a message — I’ll always do my best to fit you in. 🐾 🐾 In My Home I don’t offer boarding for dogs, but I can happily care for small animals such as guinea pigs, rabbits, or hamsters in a calm, clean, and safe environment. I make sure they have plenty of space, enrichment, and the same routine they’re used to at home, so they feel settled and cared for. Hygiene and comfort are a top priority, and I always follow your instructions closely to keep your little ones happy and healthy. 🐾 In Your Home When looking after pets in their own home, I treat your space with the same respect as I do my own. I follow your pet’s normal routine, from feeding times to walks and cuddles, so they feel secure in familiar surroundings. Safety always comes first — I double-check doors, gates, and litter trays, keep a close eye on body language, and ensure fresh water and clean spaces at every visit. I’m also trained in animal first aid, DBS checked, and fully insured, so you can relax knowing your pets are in safe, trustworthy hands I will close curtains collect post etc for extra security
“Robert was punctual as always. Doodles was very happy to see him and had lots of playtime in the garden. She slept soundly soon after Robert left! We have no hesitation in recommending Robert to other pet owners.”

About: Hi my name is Jodie I live in Ashton I am new to dog sitting and dog walking … I work part time night shifts as a nursing assistant and I am also mum to 3 children ages 13 and 17! 💫 I have owned 4 dogs two German shepherds an English bull terrier and a jack Russel so I am comfortable with larger breeds also know that the smaller breeds tend to be more hard work 😂I love animals and I also have two cats whole are my world 😊my role as a dog sitter would be taken very seriously and there is no problem keeping dogs and pets apart if needs be. thanks for reading (also willing to take care of cats) I have plenty of time during the day to provide animal care I also have 3 teenagers who love animals and more than happy to help I have two cats one in door and one outdoor so my home is very secure for indoor cats I also have a secure yard
About: Hi, I’m Paige! I really love spending time with dogs and have experience in taking care of them, we have 2 dogs in the the family home. an American akita and a blue staff, both very energetic so I know how to handle over excited dogs. They won’t be with me at any point whilst taking care of your dog so don’t worry if they’re not animal friendly. I’m currently working on from home on weekdays so looking for something to get me outside more than once a day. I finish by 3pm but can walk during my lunch hour and after work, including weekends. I have a 5 month old kitten of my own, Kookie. He is harness trained and the sweetest little boy. I have had him from being a small kitten so have dealt with fleas and know how to keep young kittens stimulated through the day! I have also had dogs my whole life and frequently walk a family members 4 month old Labrador. I don’t have space in my own home to look after a pet for long term stays.
“Mathew was amazing with Rocco. It was our first time leaving him and we were a little anxious but he put us at ease and you could tell Rocco really enjoyed his stay as he didn't want to leave! Will definitely use Mathew again! Thankyou”

“Amy was fantastic. Really flexible with visit timings, and understanding of my 15year old Labradors special needs. Kept us really updated as it was an extreme heatwave so keeping pets cool is a challenge.”

About: Hello! I'm an animal lover and experienced dog walker & sitter based in East Manchester, close to Gorton, Reddish & Denton. I grew up with dogs (labradors!) and currently have a cat at home. I work from home Mon, Tues, Thurs & Fri and am available for walks, drop-ins in your home, or hosting in my home as needed. I go for walks in and around Gorton, Debdale Park & the Fallowfield loop daily, so more than happy to walk your dog around my area or yours. Please note if you would like me to host your pup they must be calm around cats! If you have any questions, please let me know :) I work from home and have a flexible schedule. Preferably, dog walks (and any care) would take place between 6am-9am, 12pm-2pm, or after 4pm. I offer walking and drop-ins predominantly as I don't have a garden - any home care would mean popping across the road to Debdale Park when needed for walks and time outside. I do have a small yard where pets can use the toilet however. We have a spacious house so are able to crate if necessary.
About: I currently work for the UKS largest rehoming organisation which allowed me to learn dog behaviours inside and out, having undergone training to recognise behaviours, what they mean, and how i can care for dogs personal to their needs. I also spent 7 months in The Philippines independently rescuing and caring for over 18 animals (newborn puppies and kittens included) - Having found my own furbaby on the street in horrific condition i nursed him back to full health and brought him back to the UK with me. Between working part time and caring for my own doggy, i have the time to help others look after their fur babies as i know life can be so busy! I have training on dog behaviours and know how to make your pet comfortable. I listen to even the smallest of needs/wants for your pet because every one is different and i know particular routines are so important! No detail is too small.
About: I worked at a vets for 2 years so I’m very confident and trained in animal handling and I am used to pets with all kinds of personalities! I’m currently working remotely and so I think that dog and cat sitting would be a perfect part time job that would compliment my schedule. I will be sure to keep all gates and house boundaries secure and keeping certain rooms off limits if this is to the owners wishes.
About: Cozy Paws gives you a promise to give your Fur babies the best care. We are passionate about what we do and feel it’s highly important to understand your pets needs. I’m Hannah and I love all animals especially Dogs, after growing up with both from a young age in my family home. We couldn’t recommend Demmi highly enough! She looked after Billy while we were away and kept us updated with regular messages and photos, which gave us real peace of mind. Billy was well looked after, walked regularly, and we came home to an immaculate house. We’ll definitely be booking with Demmi again. Thank you!

Yarah was very thorough in finding out everything about Iris. She was very knowledgeable about dog behaviour. She stayed for a few days, Iris was settled when I returned and the house was clean. Some nice updates over the time as well. Would highly recommend her!

Paige was amazing! She made me feel really at ease which is quite difficult when I hate leaving my boys. The boys really seemed to take to her straight away and it seems they had a lovely weekend. Paige was really communicative and sent photos and updates regularly. The boys were very well looked after, as was the house! I will hopefully definitely be using Paige again in future and would highly recommend her as a sitter :)
It is the first time we have used a dog sitter service and left Bodhi with someone he doesn’t know. Nicola met him beforehand and he seemed settled and relaxed during the stay. We received regular updates during the week and Bodhi had the company he needed while we were away. We also came back to our home looked after.

I highly recommend Kate who looked after our whippet tonight. From start to finish her communication and care were excellent and felt in safe hands. My dog was so happy with her when I came home he hardly moved to greet me. I think that's a good sign 😀 would definitely book again.

Micheal was fantastic from the first point of contact . Communication was excellent before caring for Holly and Kobe and during the time they were in his care. Micheal ensured he had all the information he needed to care for Holly and Kobe . He took the time to get to know them before we went away . Whilst we was on holiday Micheal would send daily updates with photos. We did not have to worry about Holly and Kobe whilst on holiday as we knew they were being well cared for . We had two happy dogs on our return from holiday and they have not sulked with us for the first time for leaving them !

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Tameside walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Tameside choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
