“Lauren is super professional and took great care of our cockapoo Rosie! Rosie loved her from the start and enjoyed her walks and cuddles! Lauren kept us updated with pictures and had great comms throughout. Would be happy to welcome her into our home again, Rosie can’t wait! 🐾❤️”

About: With a lifelong passion for animals, I've lived with pets in the Peak District since the age of six and started my first pet care role at just 13 years old. As a qualified dog walker and pet care provider, I hold a Dog Training Diploma (CPD, QLS) and a Canine First Aid qualification (CPD, UKRLP), giving you complete peace of mind that your dog is in safe, knowledgeable hands. Based in Chinley, I provide reliable and professional dog walking and pet care services throughout the local area, covering locations within a 5-mile radius. Whether your canine companion needs regular walks, one-to-one care, or expert handling, you can trust me to deliver a caring, experienced, and personalised service. A great lover of the outdoors I am out hiking or running in the beautiful surroundings of the Peak District daily with my own rescue hound Rupert. I've grown up with dogs of all sizes and been lucky enough to have three of my own rescues. My current boy Rupert was adopted at 11 weeks and I have trained him to be a friendly and obedient beast (he's 45kgs!). I have a dog training diploma and canine first aid qualification and I'm in the process of studying for diplomas in dog behaviour and nutrition to formalise my experience. I also have two moggies, Loki and Stewie who we adopted from a local farm who love the wild environment we live in and their snuggles in bed every day. I would want to know everything from you about your pets needs, from daily routine to key voice commands to ensure a safe and trusting environment is maintained. I'd follow your lead on their needs and work within the four pillars of of the positively approach (as taught by Victoria Stilwell; appreciate the dogs point of view, recognise and meet the dogs needs, understand and apply positive training/ leadership, avoid fear and intimidation).

“As usual Emma was brilliant with Axel..he was more at ease with her time as this was her 2nd time sitting Axel & we've booked her again for the summer...we've every confidence in Emma when looking after him”

“Thank you, Chloe, for taking such great care of Prince—he had an amazing time with you! I’d definitely recommend Chloe to anyone looking for someone to look after their pet. She’s trustworthy, caring, and has excellent communication. Thanks again 🐾”

“Stuart was absolutely fantastic with Ozzy. He offered to come and meet him the week before the sit, so Ozzy could get to know him first, which was really helpful, as Ozzy is really anxious and unsure of new people. This made him a lot more relaxed and comfortable when Stuart came to look after him as they had already met. He took Ozzy on a long walk, and also bought poo bags - as I forgot to leave some out for him 🤦🏼♀️ Would definitely use Stuart again to sit Ozzy and would highly recommend him!”

“Nichole is an absolute super star and helped us out with our 10 week old Springer when our other care plans fell through. It's no mean feat looking after a pup this young so we are hugely thankful for her dedication to our little guy. Would recommend Nichole to anyone!”

“Delenn has been great at looking after our cat Hols while we've been away for a week. She was easy to communicate to from the beginning, when trying to organise everything, and came over beforehand to met us and Hols. She's been very respectful of our house and we've found everything in perfect order. We have already spoken about her looking after Hols again, especially as he seems to have warmed to her quite quickly. We would definitely recommend her services to others”

“Another fabulous sit by Richard. Thank you thank you! At the end of the evening, we even had pats! The trust has finally been built - yay! Arya was so keen she jumped into Richard's car - twice! Bless... We are so pleased and happy as it allows us to leave our anxious dog so we can have some much needed dinners out!”

“New to the area and to finding a house sitter for my 3 dogs I felt confident leaving them in Lauren's charge. They were all happy to see her again after our initial meet and greet. I have already booked Lauren for another visit.”
“Adrianna has stayed with Dexter for 10 days in our house while we were on vacation. He seemed really well looked after and we got regular communication which gave us peace of mind. We would recommend Adrianna, she’s great! Thank you!”

About: I’ve always had dogs growing up, mainly German shepherds, Rottweilers and even tiny dogs like Cavapoos and jack Russell’s, I spend my spare time going on new adventures with my own dog Darcy, I’ve only just started my business but I excel in new challenges like basic training, working on recall and lead pulling so you and your dog can then go on amazing adventures together. Working with puppies is something I’ve always wanted to do aswell as they can pick things up so much quicker and who wouldn’t want to spend there time playing with puppies. I’m currently working Part time so il have loads of time to spend with your animals, which will include fun walks, cuddles and lots of treats. Your animals will be spoilt and will be treated as if they were my own, morning and evening walks for your fur babies, if it’s just cats then it will include playing around the house with toys, plenty of cuddles and affection. They will never be left for longer than 3-4 hours Il be offering pet sitting at owners homes so will follow all instructions that you leave for your fur babies to be looked after, whether that’s daily medication at specific times, vet visits, il make sure we stick to your animals normal routines so they don’t feel too much of a change, they’ll be treated as if they were my own animals and will get lots of attention and mental stimulation

“Michelle was amazing with my 2 miniature dachshunds, my youngest can be funny with new people but he instantly took a shine to her. My oldest has had 2 spinal surgeries and so requires a little extra care but this was no issue! Would highly recommend Michelle, I’m booking her again later in the year. Thanks Michelle 🤩”

About: I am new to Rover platform but not new to looking after adorable (and the pesky!) little doggos. We had family pets growing up but I don't have any of my own right now. I have cared for mine and friends' pets from young to senior and I understand the different types of attention different breeds and personalities would need. My time is very flexible at the moment so I can always work around your schedule. I would love to fill my days giving attention and affection to the little 4-legged-steal-my-heart creatures! I am happy to fuss over your furry friend :) My working day is very flexible at the moment and so I can also be as flexible as necessary around you. Hourly walks, timed medication, regular play time, etc. I have a small balcony for access to fresh air but walks and toilet time will be in the park on the doorstep of my flat. I can do light grooming, give prescribed medication, play time, cuddle time l, regular photo updates and any specific requirements the pet or owner needs.
About: What sets me apart is my formal education in zoology combined with hands-on experience in the animal sector. I understand animal behavior, body language, and welfare on a deeper level than the average sitter, allowing me to tailor care to each dog’s individual needs. I’m attentive, knowledgeable, and calm in a variety of situations—whether that’s caring for energetic puppies, senior dogs, or pets that need a little extra patience and understanding. I currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to spend plenty of time caring for and engaging with your dog throughout the day. Attentive, hands-on care for your beloved pet. I aim to create a safe, calm, and trusting environment where dogs can feel relaxed and secure (your dog’s home away from home). My background in zoology and animal care means I’m confident reading behaviour, managing routines, and prioritising welfare at all times. I follow care instructions closely, maintain consistent boundaries, and always put your dog’s safety and comfort first, treating them with the same care and respect I would my own.
“Ellie and Adis took care of our two huskies and my parents Labrador so we could enjoy a long weekend in Europe all together. They took great care of all three pups and it was so lovely to all be away together which is something we’ve not done since we all got dogs nearly 8 years ago! Would highly recommend Ellie and hope to book another trip so the pups get to see them again!”

About: I’m a reliable and caring pet sitter based in Manchester who genuinely loves spending time with animals. I have a dog who lives in Jersey, and since moving away I really miss being around pets, which is why pet sitting is such a great fit for me. I have experience caring for both cats and dogs and can provide testimonials from previous owners. Unfortunately, I’m unable to have pets of my own where I currently live, so I truly value every opportunity to look after and spend time with animals. I also hold a clean DBS check and, as a university student, I’m flexible and able to fit pet sitting around my studies. Your pets will be safe, well cared for, and given plenty of attention and affection while you’re away. I am currently a student at university so looking to do pet sitting around my studies. I am at university 3 times a week. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and will have extra availability when the university is closed for break. if I am caring for someone’s pet I ensure that there pet is safe from harm at all times and ensure that there is nothing out that would harm their pet and that the doors are securely locked to prevent their pet from escaping.
About: I have had dogs my entire life and done volunteer work in dog shelters abroad. I’ve had four dogs of my own who all lived to old age, alongside dog boarding for friends and families dogs. More recently my blind diabetic dog who was 17. I have experience in caring for all breeds and sizes of dogs, including puppies and older dogs requiring medications. I understand how difficult it can be finding dog care and not wanting to use kennels which can be stressful for dogs. I live in a large dog friendly house on a nature reserve, with lots of walks on my doorstep and a large doggy day care room where dogs can play or chill out on the large dog sofa, beds. Whilst I am not ready to have any more dogs of my own, I miss having dogs around and I’m in the ideal position to be able to look after your dog/dogs here in the Peak District. I’m offering a bespoke dog boarding, day care, tailored to your dogs requirements. Rest assured that your dog will be on a holiday of its own with me. I am the biggest dog lover you’re likely to meet. Your pet will not have to fit into my routine, I will be fitting into your pets routine. Your pet will have my full attention whilst with me. We will be going on lots of long walks together and having fun. My house is very dog friendly and your dog would be free to roam around all the house. I would keep your dog in the same routine as you’d have at home. Your dog could have access to supervised outdoor space and would be taken on regular walks. Please note, I do not have a big garden but I do have an outdoor yard and decking areas, also a small front garden and patio area. Dogs would have regular walks. I have done volunteer work in dog shelters and can handle all types of dogs. I am also experienced in managing any physical ailments such as diabetes etc.
