“Carol & John looked after our 12 week old pup Piper on Saturday overnight while we attended a family wedding. I was very nervous about leaving her as we had recently lost our 15 year old Pomchi and this was the first time leaving our new baby. Also she was not out of her vaccination period so had to be separated from any other dogs. Carol went above and beyond to keep her protected and even cancelled a course so she could be with her. We were sent photos, videos and updates on how she was doing throughout the day and night which helped to put our minds at rest. Piper had lots of cuddles from their lovely grandchildren too. I asked Jo to conduct four visits over three days whilst I was away. An initial meet and greet was arranged and we discussed Bella's routine, and her likes and dislikes. About: I’ve taken care of cats most of my life as I’ve always had them as pets growing up, recently looked after my friends for 2 weeks, he has a Bengal who is beautiful, our last family cat was a Maine Coon called Dylan who was honestly the best cat.
About: I cat-sit for both of my sisters when they go on holiday. These range from young adults to elderly cats requiring daily medication. My sister once brought home a pregnant stray cat and I helped nurse her, and was present when she gave birth to 3 beautiful kittens. I stayed with her for the first week, to help watch over the kittens whilst my sister went to work. I have also looked after various animals on a small holding whilst the owners went on holiday. This included cats, reptiles, poultry, pigs and sheep.

About: I’ve taken care of my parents dogs for the last 4 years from puppies to adults, I’m now in a position where I can’t have my own animal just yet, but would love to earn some money to make those dreams come true - and what better way than by helping other dogs to be looked after! About: I have/had 2 dogs myself, both who I raised from puppies. The first was a very energetic and independent German Spitz. The second is a very chilled and sweet Chihuahua, who lives with me now and would be here to keep your dog company. I also lived with a council approved professional dog walker and sitter for a year, so I had plenty of experience with a range of dogs such as Cocker Spaniels and Cockapoos. I helped to walk and feed the dogs. I looked after a family friends rescue Husky for 6+ months whilst they travelled, and loved the extra walking and exploring (and all the snuggles). He came to us unable to be off lead and left us a confident dog who would walk at your side voluntarily. I believe every dog is different and every animal deserves respect. I will listen to your dogs needs and be considerate of what they want and your training schedule. Dog walking and sitting is my main work so I can be flexible to your dogs needs. I will be at home with your dog if choosing dog sitting or boarding. I live on a canal boat, so for boarding or day care your dog will be aboard the boat. The boat is very safe (it is the same as a small flat) and I will take the time to get your dog used to the boat. I live on a private marina so there are no people passing, it is very calm and quiet and dogs are on a lead when not on the boat. There are lots of fields nearby where I can walk the dogs.

About: For the last 4 years I have volunteered at an animal assisted intervention organisation, which takes dogs and small animals to schools and hospitals for outreach visits. This involves assessing the animals body language, responding to their cues and ensuring they are relaxed and comfortable. I believe this would be a vital skill for looking after your pet. I have looked after several friend and family members’ dogs and cats whilst they have gone away on holiday, either staying in their home or dropping in for visits. When I lived in Edinburgh, I worked with a charity that volunteers to walk people’s dogs who find it difficult to get out and keep their dog exercised. I love hiking, getting out in nature and seeing dogs enjoy the outdoors too. I volunteer on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday, for a full or half day depending on the week, however I have lunch free. Outreaches finish at 4 at the latest, so I would be available after this to feed, exercise or play with your pet, and stay overnight if needed. On other days, my commitments are smaller and would be able to stay in the house if that’s needed. I am flexible - I can stay in your home full time, drop by for shorter periods, and/or stay overnight. Just detail what best suits you and I will endeavour to meet your pet’s needs.
About: I have had various dogs of my own over the last 35 years, I also look after friends dogs on a regular basis either in their home or in mine! I no longer have a dog of my own so I will definitely love yours as though they are mine! I am now retired, I volunteer for a charity however these times are flexible and I plan my involvement with them according to my diary. I have a fenced garden, I also live in a lovely area with lots of places to walk. I have no pets of my own, your pet will be allowed on furniture if that’s what they are used to. I definitely don’t have any issues with dogs on sofas, beds etc.

About: Dogs have been a big part of my life since my dad started rescuing dogs from a shelter nearby. I have dealt with all kinds of dogs big or small, shy or confident. Unfortunately, now that I’m an adult, my lifestyle doesn’t allow me to have a dog of my own, so I love getting my dog fix by looking after everyone else’s! “Our Female Pug Coco had one day and one night with Jen, biscuit (her dog a female Cockapoo) and her family. Jen was great in she arranged a pre meet first to check all was ok with Coco, biscuit etc, and to discuss her wants/ needs (ie walks, food and sleeping arrangments). She made Coco at home immediatley and ensured we were all going to be comfortable leaving her. Before the day great comms on when to drop Coco and all was fine when arrived. We were updated on her while she stayed with soem pictures of her all settled. I could see Coco was in safe hand and having fun. We will 100% be using Jen again in near future for Coco stays.”
“Kodjo looked after my dog during a heatwave. He ensured that my dog was kept comfortable, he utilised fans and air conditioning inside his home to create a nice cool atmosphere for him. When the temperature was cool enough outside, Kodjo had him out on nice long walks to tire him out. He not only followed all care instructions - but went the extra mile during my pet’s stay.
