She was also really good with Branwens difficult walking style really well. I'd recommend Annie, and would definitely use her for day care again :).

About: We’ve always had small animals in our family, from dogs , cats, rabbits and fish.We are responsible dog walkers. There are lots of lovely walks where we live , including Bowlee country park, the local park and Heaton park is only 10 minutes away. Over the years we have gained much dog health knowledge, having looked after dogs with pancreatitis ,diabetes and cataracts .I am DBS checked , friendly , reliable and trustworthy person to leave your dog with.Your pet will receive lots of love and play during its stay. Your dog will rarely be left alone as there is always someone at home. We have a lovely fenced in garden and yard which is totally safe for your dog to play and potter around in as well as regular walks .Our house is smoke free . We have just one pet , our dog Elvis . We would require your dog to be washed before it’s stay as we have some allergies . We usually go for two walks a day but this can be adjusted depending on your dogs needs .We care for your dog as if it were our own. We will only be boarding two dogs at a time , along with our own dog who has been neutered and is a very happy chappy. Your pet will receive lots of love and play during its stay, as my family all either work from home or work part time, so there is always someone at home

Stanley had the best time and came home so happy and settled. He absolutely adored their dog Carlton and the two of them got on brilliantly from the start. It was clear Stanley felt completely comfortable and well cared for, with plenty of attention, play, and cuddles. Communication was easy throughout and we loved the updates. Could not recommend them more highly and would book again without hesitation.

About: I have always had pets growing up. I have previously worked for the RSPCA as an animal carer, I have experience with all sizes of dogs and cats from very young to very old. As well as private dog sitting/walking in the past. I am comfortable grooming animals as well. I have a degree in psychology with a focus on animal behaviour, and I will be starting my animal behaviour and welfare masters in October. Currently looking for regular or one off clients. I am starting a masters in animal behaviour and welfare in October and I am wanting to continue animal care over the summer before starting. As my course has not yet started, I currently have plenty of time in the day to spend with your furry friends! I have a lot of pet sitting and caring experience through previous roles as an animal carer. I am also DBS checked. I understand how important routine is for your animals, so I am happy to follow your schedules to ensure your pet is well cared for.

About: The Professional Edge: Unlike standard boarders, my husband is a fully qualified dog trainer. This means we don't just "watch" your dog; we understand canine psychology, safety, and body language deeply. We have raised 6 dogs together and bring 15 years of experience to the table. Never Left Alone: I work from home, so your dog will have constant human companionship. No lonely days waiting for owners to return. Whether your dog has separation anxiety or just loves cuddles, I am there. Tailored Activity Levels: We adapt to your dog’s pace. I am a runner, so if your dog needs to burn energy, they can join me. However, having cared for our own senior dogs through their final years, we specialise in patience, gentle care, and quiet environments for elderly guests too. The Pack: We currently have three resident dogs who are super tolerant and friendly - perfect for dogs who enjoy a social environment. Constant Companionship (Zero "Home Alone" Time) Because I work from home 100% of the time, your dog is never left unattended. Our routine is structured but flexible: Mornings: Potty breaks and supervision while I work. Afternoons (The Bonus): My husband finishes work at 1:00 PM Mon-Fri. This means for half the day, your dog has two caretakers available for walks, play, or training reinforcement. Weekends: We are completely off work, meaning weekends are dedicated entirely to long walks, runs, or relaxation depending on your dog's energy level. Professional-Grade Safety & Security This is where our experience matters most. Because my husband is a qualified dog trainer, our home is managed with a deep understanding of canine body language and pack dynamics. We don't just "hope" dogs get along; we actively manage interactions to ensure safety. The Environment: Secure Perimeter: We have a fully walled and fenced outdoor garden space. It is specifically designed to be escape-proof, offering a safe zone for toilet breaks and play without the risk of bolting. Supervised Socialisation: We have three friendly resident dogs. However, we do not force interactions. Introductions are done slowly and professionally (utilising trainer protocols) to ensure your dog feels safe and welcome, not overwhelmed. Double the Eyes: With both of us present from early afternoon onwards, we have a higher supervision ratio than almost any other sitter.

Anthony was brilliant with my Chuchi, it was the first time for my Chuchi to be with some one she does not know and I was concerned, but Anthony sent me updates through out the day, he took her for a walk and send me images and videos of her while walking, eating and when she was resting on the couch, that really put me in each while working away. When I collected Chuchi in the evening she was so comfortable with Anthony and I could tell she was well settled and appeared so close to Anthony. Highly recommended and I will definitely be using his services again.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Bury on Rover is £25.3 per day (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 2,662 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Bury. About 88% of Bury sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Bury commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in North West England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
