“Jack is Diamond Dog’s regular sitter. She is so happy to see him and drags me in first thing, ready for her morning fuss. She’s well cared for and returns a very happy girl.”

“Imogen facilitated a super fast meet and greet so I could make a last minute placement that had been sprung on me and we are so glad to find her - nothing was too much trouble and Jackson was super settled in Imogen’s company 😊”

“Mia has looked after our dog and we were very happy with the updates and the care she provided. She is very attentive and quick to reply to any messages. We will be using her services again 🙂.”

“Annie was really great with Branwen, she also made sure to keep me updated on how Branwen was doing. She kept Branwen entertained, and played lots of games with her. She was also really good with Branwens difficult walking style really well. I'd recommend Annie, and would definitely use her for day care again :).”

“Maggie loved her time with Hannah, she even kept looking back for her on our walk home! She answered any messages quickly and sent some updates during the day. Couldn’t ask for a better first experience using Rover.”

“Another booking with Jamie, Nicola and Carlton and another amazing day for Milo. Once again, we couldn't reccomend them more. Attentive, caring and truly dog lovers, we will definitely book again.”

“Valeria is an amazing dog sitter. Really responsive to my messages right from the start. Sent updates & photo's of my dog throughout the day. I will definitely be using her again to take such good care of my girl.”

“Stan had a brilliant time at Sarah's, a testament to her, that he actually ate when he was with her. Stan normally won't eat his food for around 12 hours if I'm not around, even with my husband, so for Stan to eat is a huge sign he was happy. He came back tired 🤣 obviously been a busy boy. Thanks for taking such good care of Stan Sarah and we look forward to seeing you next week 😄”

“As soon as I met Julia, I knew that Luna would enjoy her stay. She made us feel at ease straight away and was lovely with our puppy. Julia sent us videos & photos throughout the day and it was so nice to see Luna settled and having fun! We will definitely use Julia again to look after Luna.”
“Dropped Odin off and picked him up with no problem. Loved the meet and greet before to see how he would get on! I have one tired pup who definitely enjoyed himself. Updates throughout the day and great communication prior. Thank you!”

“Megan took amazing care of my Ernie with lots of pic updates for reassurance! She was so accommodating with pickup and drop off and had great communication! Lovely lady would highly recommend. Ernie came home exhausted from his day with her which is always a good sign🤣 Thank you so much !”

“Demi was great and responsive from the moment of enquiry. Providing updates on other dog sitting prior to my own giving me a peace of mind this was the right environment for my own adolescent puppy that needs a lot of affection/entertaining and kept to his usual walk schedual. Lots of updates throughout his stay and he seemed almost hesitate to return at the end. Would definitely recommend and will be rebooking for future stays.”

“Darcy was wonderful. Easy to book and made the drop off and pick up really convenient for me. Milo was well looked after and seemed happy as can be coming back from his walks with Darcy. Lots of care and attention I will definitely book Darcy again next time I'm working in the area. And highly recommend her.”

“Louise was amazing with Frida, she met us before hand so she could start getting used to her and she was very patient with her shyness. We were kept updated with photos and Frida seemed super relaxed on the photos and when we picked her up. We'll definitely book again and recommend Louise to anyone”

“Imogen did a great job looking after Dipa for the day. I received updates on how he was getting on and he got taken on a nice long walk. Imogen is very responsive to messages, and the drop off and pick up process was quick and easy. We'll definitely be using Imogen again soon.”

“Fynn enjoyed a fantastic week with Tom. He was kept safe and well cared for and gently exposed to other doggies that Tom routinely cares for, further aiding his growth and socialisation skills. Tom also remained flexible each day to accommodate my erratic schedule and was always there to fit my drop-off & pick-up times. From Fynn & I; thank you! 🙏🏿”

About: I've been around dogs my entire life and honestly can't imagine life without them. As well as owning dogs growing up, I've always looked after and house sat for friends' and family's dogs, so caring for them has always come naturally to me. I'm currently working as a dog walker, which has given me experience with dogs of all breeds, sizes and temperaments, from energetic puppies to older dogs who need a gentler pace. I take the time to get to know each dog's personality and routine, making sure they feel safe, happy and well cared for. I treat every dog as if they were my own, and I genuinely love building trusting relationships with both pets and their owners. I'm currently very flexible and available for immediate bookings. As it's the summer holidays, my usual dog walking and boarding schedule is much quieter, meaning I can offer plenty of availability for walks, boarding, house sitting, and drop-in visits. If you're looking for someone reliable at short notice, I'd love to help! From September, my regular schedule resumes, but I'll still have ongoing availability. I live in a secure first-floor apartment in a quiet area right by the river, with beautiful green spaces and walking routes literally on my doorstep. This means dogs have easy access to plenty of fresh air, exercise and enrichment in a safe environment. My home is clean, calm and comfortable, and I make sure every dog feels relaxed and at home during their stay. At night, dogs sleep in the bedroom with me, as I find this helps them feel safe, settled and comforted, especially if they're staying away from their family for the first time. When caring for pets in their own home, I understand how important it is to maintain their usual routine. I take the time to learn each pet's individual needs, including feeding schedules, exercise requirements, medication (if needed), and any quirks or preferences they have. I always ensure they receive lots of love, attention and companionship, while also respecting the owner's home by keeping it clean, tidy and secure. I provide regular updates, photos and messages, so owners can relax knowing their pet is happy and well cared for. I treat every pet as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, loved and comfortable whether they're staying with me or I'm caring for them in their own home.

not only is Gabriella an amazing pet-sitter, she is also the most radiant individual i have met in a while! Gabriella went above and beyond for my theo and it was extremely clear through the updates sent & the way he cried for her when daycare was over! could not possibly recommend enough- what an amazing person 💞

Holly was fantastic with our pup Herbert, she met him prior to booking to introduce herself which we really appreciated. On the day she was patient and caring and provided plenty of updates and pictures to let us know Herbert was having a great day. He was nervous at first being in a new environment but Holly helped him calm down and settle well. She took him for big walk and provided him with all the attention (he is a needy pup). We would be more than happy for Holly to mind Herbert in the future (so would Herb).

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in North West England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
