About: Hiya! I'm Izzi, an Aussie currently living in Manchester. I'm a huge animal lover and have owned both dogs and cats throughout my life. Having grown up in Australia I was always around animals, caring for them comes naturally to me and I genuinely enjoy getting to know each pet's unique personality! I'm experienced with a wide range of pet care, from helping reinforce training with young puppies to caring for older pets who may need a little extra TLC. I get that every pet has different needs and I always take the time to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy while in my care! What sets me apart is my reliability, flexibility, and genuine love for animals. As I study online, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give pets the time and attention they deserve. I'll also keep you updated with regular photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your furry family member is in safe hands. 🐾☺️ I'm currently studying online- which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to pet care! This means I can work around your pet's routine, whether that's daily walks, drop-in visits, feeding times, play sessions, or overnight care☺️ Caring for animals fits naturally into my daily schedule, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with pets and making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while their owners are away. I'll always provide reliable care, regular updates, and plenty of attention tailored to your pet's individual needs. 🐾 I always aim to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care. Whether I'm caring for your pet in your home or taking them out for walks and visits, I'll follow their usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, exercise needs, playtime, medication, and any specific instructions you provide.☺️ I understand that every pet is different, so I'll take the time to get to know their personality and preferences to ensure they feel relaxed and happy. I'll also keep you updated with messages and photos, so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is being well looked after while you're away!
“Natalie was brilliant looking after our cats. She’s a great communicator and tended to every one of their needs. She also put me at ease with consistent communication and picture updates. Can’t thank you enough Natalie! Xx”

“Linkie was an absolutely wonderful cat sitter for Arya. From the detailed update, it was clear how attentive, caring, and genuinely affectionate she was with her. Arya greeted her happily, had plenty of energy, and clearly felt comfortable and safe in her care. Linkie made sure all essentials were checked, fed her properly, gave treats, cleaned the litter box thoroughly, and spent quality time playing and giving cuddles. I really appreciated the thoughtful observations about Arya’s eating, litter habits, and mood. It was incredibly reassuring to know Arya was so well looked after. Highly recommend Linkie! 💛”

“Olivia had been fantastic with our puppy. She has knowledge, patience and great communication. We are also very grateful for the adjustments she’s made in the hot weather. We would highly recommend Olivia :)”

About: I have been a devoted pet lover from a young age, growing up with two dogs — a Maltese and a Yorkshire Terrier — which gave me a deep understanding of canine behaviour and needs. I have also been a cat owner since 2023, caring for two beautiful cats, a Ragdoll and a Golden British Shorthair. This experience has taught me to understand different pet personalities and provide attentive, loving care. Friends and family have trusted me to look after their pets, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. I take pride in keeping owners updated with regular photos and messages, so you can enjoy your time away with complete peace of mind. As a full-time pet sitter, I am available 7 days a week with no other work or study commitments. Your pet will receive my complete attention throughout the day. I will follow their usual feeding schedule, play with them regularly, and ensure they feel comfortable and settled in their own home environment. I provide care exclusively in your own home, which means your pet stays in a familiar and stress-free environment with all their favourite toys, bedding and routines. I treat every pet as my own, with the same love and attention I give to my two cats. I will keep all doors and windows secure, follow any specific instructions you leave, and send regular photo and video updates throughout the day so you always know your pet is happy and safe.
“Gabriella was fantastic, great communication throughout the booking process, meeting of Baron and throughout the visit. I would highly recommend Gabriella if you are looking for a extra love in your dogs life.”

“Phoebe was amazing! It made me feel so relaxed and happy to know Kenzo was in good hands. He doesn't trust easy but he warmed up to Phoebe very quickly! She is also very thorough, following all instructions, communicates well and sends lots of pictures and videos. I would recommend her to anyone!”

“Elizabeth did a great job taking care of our 2 junior cats for a week, especially as they did cause a bit of a mess sometimes so we really appreciate how she handled this. Lots of great pictures and good communication overall. Most importantly, our fur babies had much needed play time and attention which made us feel like they were taken care of and could handle the rest of the day on their own. Would recommend. :)”

About: We have raised Carlton from puppy whilst living at a flat. He is well house trained and very good with other dogs. We have the knowledge and patience for puppies and are open to all dog personalities. Carlton is a Shetland sheep dog which are known for their barking and intelligence. We know how to deal with excessive barking and how to keep a dog mentally occupied. We are both working from home full time. One is us is self employed so has a very flexible schedule which can be helpful with collection/ drop off. We are out with Carlton around every three hours, so your dog will be sure to get exercise during their time with us! As mentioned, we have a very friendly dog who loves to play with other dogs. We have space to crate your dog if necessary (we would just need to borrow the crate). Plenty of toys for them to play with!
“Sofie was amazing and able to help with a drop in visit and short walk with Merlin at very short notice. Communication was great throughout and would recommend to anyone!”

“Irene did a brilliant job watching my two cats. She communicated well, gave nice photo and written updates and both cats seemed to enjoy her company. She was also very kind and helpful especially when we had to unexpectedly add on an additional check in. Thanks so much, we’d be happy to book her again.”

“Sarah is great! Only had 1 visit with Frankie so far and he very quickly gravitated towards her and felt safe! He’s an anxious boy and she’s great and dealing with him when he’s getting worked up! Thanks so much!”

“Elena was able to look after my two cats at very short notice and provided great service! I was updated regularly and could see that the cats were being very well cared for whilst I was away.”

About: 👋🏻 Hi! I’m Kate. I'm based in Manchester (recently moved back after a 2 year gap travelling) in a dog friendly flat with my senior chihuahua, Louis. We have a large balcony and are nearby to lovely walks. 🐶 I have been professionally dog and cat sitting for over 11 years, including rescue dog volunteer experience at the Dogs Trust charity. I have extensive experience in caring for puppies, older dogs, dogs with behavioural difficulties and other animals, including cats and non-domestic farm animals. I am an animal lover and vegetarian of 14 years! 🌱 🏡 I work remotely from home, so my schedule is flexible and I'm able to provide a relaxed and comfortable experience for the animals I board. 🚶♀️I’ll start the morning off with a walk to the local park. I then come home and make breakfast. By this time, the dog/s I board are usually ready for a snooze, breaking up our regular short walks every 3-4 hours. I like to make sure the dogs I look after get fresh air and a chance to go to the loo regularly. Throughout the day my apartment is quiet, I have lots of soft toys and blankets for the dogs to get comfortable in. I also have an endless supply of Tripe and Dental sticks! 💛 Unfortunately I can't take dogs who are not housetrained or are extremely boisterous as my senior chihuahua is deaf and going blind so prefers more gentle / calm interactions I work remotely at home during the week, so I have time and flexibility throughout the day to go for long walks, have play time and more. I have a dog friendly home with dog beds, blankets, toys and treats. The area I live in is quite, dog friendly and has great walking routes. I also have a car so can take the dogs to larger parks and bigger walks.

About: Hi! I’m Jess (jess_sits_pets_xo) I have grown up around animals and have had the pleasure of owning two cats in my own flat up until recently. I have experience with paid dog walking and dog sitting for up to 1 week for up to 2 dogs at a time in my flat, including Chihuahuas, a Miniature Pinscher and Shih Tzus. This included regular walks, toilet break and regular play times! I am happy to adapt to your pets style of living as I allow cats and dogs on my furniture. I enjoy driving to the countryside for walks and feel it would be great to take a dog along for a walk for the day! I am prepared to spend evenings and weekends walking/housesitting dogs or cats and am reliable and can always be contacted. Currently I work full time, working Tuesday - Thursday in the office. I am usually out of the house from 8:20-18:00 on these days. I work from home every Friday and have Saturday/Sundays free. I do have flexibility with my work from home days so I can see about adjusting my schedule to your pets needs. Happy to work from home at a house sitting and keep your pet company during the day or evening! I offer house sitting services alongside regular pop in visits. As I have my own cat, I can no longer house animals in my own home but am happy to house sit and care for cats or dogs in your own home! This includes emptying cat litter trays, frequent daily visits, sleepovers, taking dogs for regular walks, cleaning up furballs etc. I do have a travel basket for dogs to be clipped into my car too :)
About: Hello! I'm Graeme, and I am so excited to meet your furry friends! My partner Rob and I have both grown up with dogs all of our lives and we're really missing the love and affection we want to give as we can't commit to having one of our own at the moment. My family have always had dogs from I was a kid including Labradors, Golden Retrievers, and mixed breed rescues. We regularly babysit our friends Maltese (Daisy) for weekends, and any dog welcomed to our home becomes part of our wider family. Rob and I both work a mixture of office based and home hybrid Monday to Friday so are flexible in our availability for day care, drop in and boarding mid-week and weekends so get in touch. Please note that my ability to work from home is reducing so longer stays cannot be guaranteed, and I will need to review what’s possible. We kindly ask that if your dog has separation anxiety, and cannot be left alone for any period of time (even for us to go to the shops) we are unable to accept your request for sitting / boarding. We live in a decent sized apartment, with a securely fenced balcony with lots of good walking routes close by near canals, parks and quieter green spaces.
About: Whether you're away for the day or on a longer trip, I'll make sure your furry friend gets all the care and love they need! 🐶🥰❤️ I am completely free at the moment and willing to give all my time and attention to your pet. We will have so much fun! I will take care of your pet as it was mine. Safety is a priority and I will always provide the best environment for them to feel comfortable

Beth was very responsible and respectful, she checked in with my cats at the pre agreed time, fed them and played with them. She left photos for me to see how they were getting in too! 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be asking Beth to look after my cats again in the future.

Kat very kindly accepted my very short notice request for cat sitting. She was very flexible in fitting in visits at times I requested. Her communication and professionalism was excellent throughout. I was confident that she would look after my cats as I had requested; keeping me updated twice a day and sending photographs, which I really appreciated. I would say that Kat went above and beyond in her care for my cats, eg going outside to my garden to try and call in my errant cat, who likes to stay out as much as possible and changing her plans so that she could go earlier to see my cats one day, as I had requested. I can’t recommend Kat highly enough to anyone looking for somebody dependable to look after their cats. Thank you, Kat 🙏
Susy took perfect care of my cat while I was away for six days. She was especially thoughtful about the intense heat we were experiencing, which gave me peace of mind. Her communication is fantastic, and judging by the photos she sent after every visit, my cat looked very happy and relaxed in her company. I truly trust Susy, which allowed me to fully enjoy my time away. Highly recommended!

Stephen has been visiting my rescue cat Honey since I got her in October. Stephen is so kind and patient with her when she’s been really timid in the past. Stephen is so reliable and I feel reassured that Honey is in the best hands when I am away. I also really appreciate the text updates with a photo of how she’s been when he has visited her. I will continue to book Stephen for visits and I would recommend him to anyone ☺️

Hadi has looked after our cats several times and has always been organised, reliable, and communicative. He sends regular updates while we’re away, and both of our cats are completely comfortable around him. It’s very reassuring to know they’re in such good hands whenever we go on holiday.

Nicole and her partner Luis are the kind of people that reinforce the sense that there are genuinely lovely people in this world. My cat warmed to their care and affection remarkably quickly - she's often quite shy with new people, but she decided almost immediately that they were friends. I was so grateful to receive photos and videos during their visits, each one brought a big smile to my face. On top of that, they were both very diligent, asking all the right questions about how to care for her. Highly, highly recommended :)

Hannah was amazing with Tash and B. She did a pre-meet and I could tell she would be perfect with them. B can be a bit tentative with new people but was on Hannah’s lap the first day I was away! She sent brilliant updates, offered to come over if we had any delays getting back, and rescued our parcels. The cats were very well looked after.

Kiwi took such amazing care of our three cats over the weekend while we were away, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. She provided incredibly detailed updates after every visit, followed all of our instructions perfectly, and took the most beautiful photos of our cats, which gave us so much reassurance while we were away. It was such a relief knowing our cats were being looked after by someone who genuinely cares about them. It was clear from the updates and the attention she gave them that they were in the best hands. We wouldn’t hesitate to book Kiwi again in the future. Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of our babies—we’re so grateful!

Cleo has been fantastic with my nervous softie pocket bully Dooley - bringing him a constant supply of treats and company to make him feel safe! Great communication and suggestions & automatically makes adjustments and adaptions to make him more comfortable too :)

Kiran has been a god send for me and my dog Jac. He’s an old boy who’s also blind and deaf and she has been so loving and affectionate towards him. Kiran sends me updates when she is with Jac which is highly appreciated. Even the concierge at my apartment block have commented how lovely Kiran is and how much Jac likes her. I highly recommend Kiran. Thank you Kiran.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
