My entire life has been spent growing up alongside animals. My family own a farm, so I’ve been around not only dogs and cats, but also alpacas, horses, goats and pigs, too! 🐷 🐕 🐱🌾 *(see below for my schedule - I’m usually quite flexible!)* - SOME THINGS YOU CAN EXPECT FROM ME: - • For dog walks, I can guarantee that your pup will receive plenty of exercise and stimulation - I love a brisk walk, so if you’ve got a high-energy pup then I’ll make sure that they get good exercise! (Lower energy dogs who love to sniff during walks are also very much loved and welcomed, I like to take it at their pace) - • For boarding and day-cares: During your pet's stay, I will create a cozy set up for your pet, where I will play relaxing music and "Dog TV" or "Cat TV" in the background of my flat to help them feel more relaxed and at ease. - • I will send LOTS of photos throughout each booking - if it is a drop-in or dog walk, these photos will all be uploaded to the Rover card (a feature exclusive to Rover which offers a pet-care summary page for owners, which I will have filled out during the booking). On top of this, I like to write lots of notes and details about the time I spend with your pet for you to read! - • I will always return your pets’ belongings clean and safely disinfected, and for drop-ins I ensure to clean whichever area of your home I’ve been in. (I’ll never leave empty food packets/dirty bowls/messy litter/dirty surfaces, etc.) - • If your pet is particularly shy, I will set them up with their own little private area within the room - for example: I have large pet crates which I can cover and fill with blankets + stuffed toys, spraying them with specialised "calming pet spray" to help your pet build their confidence and establish a sense of security in their new environment! - • I will never introduce your pet to strangers nor other animals without your permission to do so first. - • Your pet is absolutely, categorically, 100% my utmost priority throughout each booking and I will never neglect nor compromise their safety. Each minute I spend with your pet is dedicated to them, no distractions. - • For boardings: if I have drop-ins or walks booked during your pet's stay, I will always let you know about this in advance and ensure that your pet will be left safely and comfortably during this time. (Pets with separation anxiety will not be left alone - this would be discussed prior to any booking confirmation) - • With all animals, I place their safety and comfort as my utmost priority, so I will adapt my approach according to each individual and their temperament. - - SOME DETAILS ABOUT ME AND MY HISTORY WITH PETS! : - 🐾 I’ve taken an active part in caring for animals on behalf of family and friends, from feeding and grooming, to playing and training and everything in between. - 🐾 My parents also breed their dogs for a living, so I am regularly recruited to come home and care for the puppies when there’s a litter (this includes feeding, cleaning, constant attention, ensuring and maintaining safety measures, playing, etc.) - 🐾 Throughout the years, I’ve been both an overnight cat-sitter and dog-sitter for friends and neighbours, wherein I’ve fed their pets according to their individual schedules, groomed their pets, played with them, walked their dogs, adhered to the individual owner’s established routines for their pets, amongst many other necessary tasks. - 🐾 All of these factors and experiences have made me an incredibly loving, caring and attentive pet enthusiast, with a keen knowledge of animal behaviour and essential practice in establishing the necessary boundaries required for maintaining safety measures. - 🐾 Plus, importantly, whilst I diligently ensure to establish and maintain proper household boundaries, I love to have fun! I consider myself to be a very active, high energy and fun-loving person, so I reflect this in how I treat animals. I'm always coming up with new ideas on how to have fun, and I will adapt this to any beloved pet and play it by their rules! - - - 🏕️DAYCARE RATES:🏕️ My daycare rates start at £20 for 4 hour bookings, then increases at a rate of +£5 per hour, for each hour following. 😊 - - - FOR DAYCARE AND BOARDING REQUESTS : - ⚠️ I share my flat with my dear pet cat, Minka. She’s 13 years old and I’ve raised her since she was a kitten! She has grown up alongside dogs, cats, and various farm animals, so she’s very confident around furry strangers. (as long as they’re nice to her!) - ⚠️ If your dog or cat does not get on with other cats, then this is absolutely fine; in these instances, I would ensure that your pet is kept separated from Minka by restricting their access to my bedroom, as Minka would be kept in my bedroom throughout the booking. - *Minka is more than happy to stay in my bedroom since it is very spacious, plus she chooses to spend most of the day sleeping in there anyway as she’s quite old! Your pet would not be able to access my cat whatsoever.* - ⚠️ If your pet socialises well with cats, then (with your permission) I am happy to carefully introduce your pet to Minka, gradually exposing them to eachother and very closely monitoring how comfortable your pet feels around my cat. If there is any sign of discomfort, then I will proceed with the arrangement of keeping her in her own space, separate to your pet.
